Its been a while since I visited. This time I felt a little disappointed. The water that comes out after arriving at the store tastes bad. During my two-month long stay in America, this was the worst water Ive ever tasted. It smells like earth. The food is delicious. Its the taste of Japan. I ordered oyakodon, but the quantity was a little small and it was not covered with eggs, but rather mixed together. Personally, I would like a little more quantity. The amount of fried rice that my friend ordered seems to be a lot, so the amount may vary depending on the menu. The taste is great. You can also get extra candy. Its worth coming once. However, it is a little expensive.

My boys and I got a taste for pork katsu curry after visiting Japan last year. We all agreed that this is the best version by far that we have had outside of Japan. The owner is also very nice and welcoming. She spends 60 to 72 hours slow cooking the curry. A lot of restaurants use the curry packets that we can use at home, and just dont have the same magic. We will absolutely come here again.

This was our first time visiting after new ownership has taken over. My wife and I went for dinner. She ordered the tonkatsu ramen and I ordered the pork and chicken katsu rice. The Curry was very good, probably the best ive had in the States, lots of depth in flavor. Between the Pork and Chicken. The pork was way better. The complaint is the rice could have been better cooked. It was hard in my opinion. Which means it did not absorb the curry sauce very well. Would still definitely order again. For the ramen, the broth was great, the pork belly could have been better cooked and more generous in size. Complaint I have is that the broth came out warm not hot and the noodles were very thin. There is an upcharge for wavy noodles.

Amazing and authentic Japanese Bistro with some impressive signature dishes! Very quaint setting with idyllic Japanese inspired inner decor, perfect for date night with your SO or even just a small business luncheon. My wife and I tried them on a whim and totally enjoyed the experience. The katsudon curry is phenomenal that reminded me of a light but blended gravy with hints of basil, paprika and even mild cayenne. Not spicy per se just delicious that compliments the crispy pork. My wife couldn t even get a full sentence out for few mins while she happily dove into her bowl of sukiyaki don . I could hardly blame her for swatting away my utensils when I tried to gnaw a bite of the tenderly seasoned beef in the stew. Hearty and mouthwatering were her descriptors. Guess I ll find out for myself next time. Make no mistake, food is prepared fresh to order and gives you the inviting feeling of sitting down to a home cooked meal. Great and courteous waitstaff to boot. And the prices are super reasonable for generous servings. Love it and will return for sure! Kid-friendliness: Not ideal for kids under 7-8 yo

TLDR: Great and affordable katsu and curry with friendly service. We went to Ino and got both the salmon bento box and the pork katsu. We also had friends who got the chicken katsu, which is also good. If we had a time machine, we both would have gotten the pork katsu. The curry has a fantastic flavor to it, and the katsu is nice and crispy with the pork still being flavorful and moist. Its also a massive portion (especially for the price), so come hungry and leave satisfied! The chicken is almost as good, but I find pork to be the superior meat for katsu. The bento box was just ok. The salmon is cooked well, it just doesnt have the same depth of flavor as the katsu & curry. The service here is excellent and we were greeted by the chef during and after our lunch. She was extremely polite and kind. Parking: Parking in front of and behind the place, so there should always be a spot!

I havent been to Ino in years, but I used to go quite often for sushi and occasionally ramen and curry years ago. I came back to a very different menu experience: very simple, but that much better for it! Curry at Ino has always been good (I dont like curry, but they now only have curry and ramen as entree types, no sushi), but they must have changed the recipe because it is SO MUCH BETTER than even before. The spicy chicken karage was fantastic as well. The pre-meal miso soup was a little salty for me, but fine as miso soup goes. Definitely coming back to make even better memories! Vegetarian options: Didnt see vegetarian options Parking: Plenty of parking even on a Friday evening Kid-friendliness: Warm, intimate family atmosphere with seating also for larger parties

We came in on a whim and absolutely demolished the food. This place is cozy and the service is amazing. We immediately felt at home. My partner got the shoyu ramen and I ordered the katsu curry. Im not really a Japanese curry person, but the signs advertising the dish convinced me to give it a try. Im officially a convert. The curry is savory and rich. It pairs perfectly with the crispy pork and coats every grain of rice. The portion sizes here are pretty big. I didnt think I could finish the plate, but the curry was so delicious that I ended up scraping it clean. Definitely come here and order the curry.

I discovered Ino Japanese Bistro on a Facebook group and Instagram, and Im so glad I decided to try it out! The miso soup was a perfect way to start my meal, arriving hot. The gyoza was even better the sauce had a unique kick that complemented the dumplings perfectly. The chicken katsu came with rice, pickled ginger, and their famous curry. The attentive staff recommended dipping the hot naan in the curry, and they were absolutely right it was delicious! The staff at Ino Japanese Bistro was fantastic. They checked in with me frequently throughout my meal and even shared some interesting facts about Inos history and their curry-making process. The ambiance at the restaurant was peaceful, with music playing at a low volume that allowed for easy conversation. The restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated. Theres plenty of free parking available, and its conveniently located near DART bus stops (240, 241, and 883) for those using public transportation. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Ino Japanese Bistro. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Its a perfect place to bring friends and family for a great dining experience.

I don t mind paying a little more but at least keep the portion size the same as before when the original owner was operating it. The tendon portion that I used to order when the original owner was there reduced to half at a higher price.. and what happened to the complimentary Japanese style pickled Napa cabbage??? I hope they bring it back. If he s the same chef as before, why did he change a lot of stuff that they used to serve? I will give this restaurant one more try and see if they ve improved.

Ive been following their Instagram profile and was particularly intrigued by their curry recipes, which are made from scratch and require hours of preparation. The effort truly pays off, as the curry is delicious. Their katsu pork is also noteworthy, with a nice thick cut that complements the meal perfectly. I opted for a takeout order since I had my corgi with me in the car. One aspect that could be improved is their tendency to speak negatively about their competition, which I believe they should refrain from. However, their curry is definitely worth recommending. My only suggestion for enhancement would be to offer a customizable level of heat. In Frisco, for example, I can order my curry with a level of spiciness that suits my palate. It would be great to see a similar option here.

Small and cozy restaurant that deserves way more business than they get. Amazing Japanese food from an actual Japanese family, which is very uncommon to find in America! I had the Grilled Mackerel, which came with Miso Soup. The soup was very powerful and rich in flavor, and stimulated the appetite. The mackerel skin was salty and crunchy, and balanced the natural fishiness of mackerel itself. The fish itself was tender and delicate, the bones small and thin enough to eat without notice. And after it all, the experience was so affordable! Ill be back here often, for sure, and you should visit here too! Theres so much to try, so give INO a chance!

This is one of the Japanese restaurants that serve authentic Japanese foods as the owner seems to be a Japanese as well as servers. Excellent Japanese foods for reasonable prices. This has been one of my go-to Japanese restaurants for 10+ years for lunch without braking the bank. They closed for renovation a while. I thought they closed permanently, but fortunately, it was re-opened.

I used to come here and left dfw for a while. Recently coming back to town, I had an urge to visit Ino again. Well, the new ownership has a different taste I used to know: before good enough and now better than what I knew. Ino is Ino to me.

Owner changed and food is not the same. Why tf is korean hiphop playing non-stop in a Japanese or Japanese-Korean restraunt? Look at the side cut of the tonkatsu, Zion markets food court tonkatsu is like x10 better than this. Meat is freaking dark and chewy, no fat at all. If you look up the tonkatsu pic before the ownership takeover happened, youll see the significant difference.

Courteous, cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient service, impeccable authentic Japanese country fare at a very reasonable price. Quiet and tidy place, a neighborhood hidden gem. I have been visiting here to have a taste of Japanese cuisine for over twenty years now. Returned recently after the restaurant is re-opened! No familiar faces in the front, we were told that a new owner has retained some of the original kitchen staff. Some of the staples we tried were at least 90% of the recent standards; some serving bowls and such remind us of the INO in the recent past. The menu changed a bit, mostly on the prices to reflect the current overheads; a new Korean section is added, will try soon. We returned to try the expanded menu, were not disappointed. Takoyaki was delicious, well presented and masterly prepared. Kakuni was tasty and appropriately portioned as an appetizer; Bulgogi was satisfying. Best of all, do not miss the mochi ice cream. Well be coming back to check out other menu items soon. Parking: Plenty of space for parking.

The restaurant offers the best Korean and Japanese foods in the DFW area. All the dishes are so delicious, and I could tell that the cook didnt use any MSG in the dishes. I could enjoy each and every meal ordered from the first bite to the last. Be sure to try all of the items on the menu! Youll be amazed at the unique take on classic dishes!

$66 for two small pieces of Eel on white rice? Not worth it in my opinion. Giving 3 stars because Eel was tasty but not enough food and complimentary appetizers were not tasty. I could be wrong, so give it a try.

If you want to try a very authentic Japanese cuisine, this is it! It is hard to find such a good quality sushi in Dallas and Im sure this is one of those hidden gem. We also had sukiyaki Don, hisago lunch box(assorted items vary every day according to them), sushi & sashimi combo, & katsu curry(now they serve chicken katsu if you are not a big fan of pork). I highly recommend this place! I saw many reviews saying that there was only one server and she is welcoming and nice. I cant agree more about her!

Since the restaurant s renovation, the refreshing interior coupled with the smooth older Japanese pop music in the background made the experience feel private and personal. The service was amazing, and our server greeted us with a smile. From our seat, we could see the sushi chef preparing the dish, and the sushi was one of the best in the DFW area. Everything from the classical salmon to the uni tasted fresh and the combinations aggregated delightfully onto a plate. We also had the Levi steak, donkatsu, tempura, and udon. The Levi steak was accompanied by a gravy that surprises with its savory flavor; the donkatsu and tempura were crispy and juicy; and the udon s noodles were perfectly cooked in a soup that washed down the meal like whatever the opposite of an appetizer might be, a dessert without the common connotation of chocolate and cake (though the udon had a combination of sweet and savory). Overall, my experience was lovely, and we left the restaurant thoroughly satisfied.

Authentic Japanese cuisine, accordingto my dinner companion who is more of world traveler than me. I had the eel, which I can recommend. The chicken yakatori was exceptional, my dining partner was a fan of the fried squid. The waitstaff is pleasant and helpful; the restaurant is clean and very calming. Its BYOB as they are waiting on their license to go through.

This was my FAVORITE Japanese restaurant. I ate here almost every week and with that being said There s no way this is INOS restaurant anymore. I waited forever for them to reopen and they finally did after being closed for renovations AND under a silent takeover. My best guess is a Korean family has taken over bc never in a million years would a Japanese owner serve kimchi radish with a Japanese dish. Potato salad doesn t have any flavor, ginger pork is sweet? Soba is bland. Spicy tuna roll is a hit or miss. I tried this place twice since it reopened and I knew it wasn t Ino in the kitchen anymore. I wouldn t care about new ownership If they would just keep the recipes the same. However the salad dressing taste the same so I guess. Anyways, I won t be returning.

As the restaurant is reopened now was curious to test it out and had sashimi and miso ramen for lunch. Server was kind and attentive and the food came in good time. Sashimi was fresh with a balanced variety. Ramen was a good portion as well and delicious. The restaurant has undergone renovations and is clean and quaint. The parking is ample and easy access to getting to the location and out to head back home. Prices were as expected for today s rising prices, but given the portions and quality, no complaints. Friendly staff, clean, and good food and service checked all the boxes for me. Will be back!

The server is unfriendly. Are they bad towards Japanese people, or are they cold towards people other than regulars? I dont know, but it didnt feel good. The food was okay. I think I could have made up for it if I had a good attitude. The Japanese food I ate in Florida was much better. Waitress is not friendly. We feel cold shoulder from worker. That s it.
