The toilet was filthy and I waited 15minutes for staff to show up. The elevator felt like it was on its last limbs and I do not know when the last time they got it inspected since it wasn t shown on the wall. It literally was shaking the whole ride there and back up 3 stories. There was a stain on my bedsheets too along with a bit of hair that was not mines. Never recommending this place ever.

This place is nice on the outside, you would think it would be very professional. But I had to find out for myself. Bathroom was so nasty, tub, toilet,and floor nasty.. I had to go buy cleaners to clean my room.... The front desk the lady in the mornings is so lazy and sleeps at the front desk. The breakfast area was a mess .. coffee spilled everywhere. .. messes from food on the counter top, very unprofessional. I found a new hotel, spoke with a gentleman, I was talking to him about this hotel .. before I could finish telling him my experience and the lies that these owners and staff tell, he had his experience as well at this hotel he said never again and shared his experience how nasty it was at Crystal inn. Thats when u know its bad. Not only that Im at a restaurant enjoying my new experience at a restaurant, Crystal inn decided to call me about my dog fee and complain very rudely. This was at7pm in the evening. Unbelievable couldnt wait until we arrived back at the hotel, I will be sure to pass on my experience in regards to this horrible experience here, as I paid 140.00$ . I have no problem paying a pet fee lady just be professional about it. AND.... DIDNT OFFER ME ROOM SERVICE!!!!! I would have gladly left to get room service. Like you said that I rejected the room service THATS A TOTAL LIE.... LOOKK AT YOUR CAMERA AND LISTEN TO YOUR CAMERA PLEASE DO SO.

I previously stayed multiple times; The previous stay was very relaxing and was upgraded to a suite. The Hotel Manager here is great and real understanding and will try and accommodate you if needed. Real quiet. Would stay here again if traveling is needed. Rooms: Spacious

Great place and nice staff. The only thing keeping me from a 5-star review was the breakfast (very limited selection & the one waffle maker was very suspect). Everything else was great and I will definitely stay there again. Even with the remodeling that is going on, it was never loud or dirty. Highly recommend this place.

Do not waste your time booking this hotel. The stay was decent but the staff is horrendous. The room was paid in full via Expedia, yet upon arrival the front desk advised the room was short on payment. It was not. The receipt on both customer and hotel side advised it was paid in full. Yet, the manager was unable to provide the reasoning behind his employee asking for additional money. Seemed unprofessional and quite shady to say the least. I wouldn t be surprised to find out this was a frequent occurrence for this establishment. Save your money and the headache. Book elsewhere.

Requested a room with a larger bed but we were told that it was not available, which was impossible given that there were 3 cars including ours. The guy at the front desk ask for my ID which is ok but then wanted all the adults staying in the rooms ID I thought that was very strange on top of that I booked through Expedia and he wanted a $100 breakage fee smh went to the rooms and the room are very small and brown water came out of the shower when I turn it on!!!! Not impressed at all!! Oh they made me wear a mask too smh

There were 4 single socks in the top drawer. The TV was not plugged into the cable box. The hinge on the toilet seat was broken and the seat moved as you sat on it. The coffee pot had coffee in it with mold floating in it.

The room was literally a matchbox with frayed carpet, shabbily upholstered chair and chipped and broken tiles in the bathroom... the only reason I stayed one night was because the bath towels and bed sheets were clean. will definitely not recommend it.

Went on a business trip to the area and decided to stay the night so we could go to the beach the next day. I arrived to a construction site. (took pics) I was not warned and upon arriving was surprised. I entered the building and the musty smell of mold was strong. The ducts in the lobby were full of black stuff, assuming it was mold. (took pics) They had floor fans trying to help circulate the moldy smell but AC was barely on. I went to the room and the same, smelled musty and moldy. We didnt stay because I have bad allergies and have been disputing a refund for a while. I asked numerous time to get a call back, at least for customer service sake and was never contacted. The receptionist acts like she doesnt know anything and points fingers at the manager, the manager doesnt follow up. I wouldnt book ahead of time to avoid problems with this establishment.

HUGE problems with billing at this location. The current billing procedure is to put a weeks rate on hold, then charge the weeks rate at the end of the week. This causes twice as much to come out of your account at one time. I am currently 2 weeks and 4 days into my stay and Ive had 3416.58 removed from my account as of today 2/20/20. Lots of people have the same issues and have left. **Update: Ive checked out of the hotel waiting for a refund I was promised, but I am still getting money put on hold from this hotel (200.00) last night.

Do you like bed bugs? If your answer is yes then this is the place for you. If your answer is no then stay away from here. I booked a room last minute online, showed up checked in looked at the room and found bed bugs. Grabbed my stuff and went to tell the guy on duty. No one wanted to deal with it. Even though I didnt stay they still charged me for the room. When I called Jakelin Zapata told me that I was SOL because I didnt cancel the room 24 hours in advance. So they are keeping the bed bugs and my money. Stay away from here for several reasons. Heres photo evidence of an infestation.

If I could give negative points I would. This use d to be an ok hotel, I stayed there before and had no problem. This last time I tried to stay after cking in and bringing my stuff to the room I ended up finding dozens of dead bugs on the mattress under the sheets, I got my stuff and walked out spoke with the receptionist and told her that I was not going to stay because of what I found, she offered to change the room but there was no way I was going to take a chance, told her that I was not going to pay for the night and she told me that she couldnt so anything about that, and that I had to speak with the manager in the AM. My wife ended up calling the manager Jakelin Zapata to protest the charges to our account and was quickly told that housekeepers had checked the bed and didnt find anything (my fault for not taking pics), but with a very bad attitude my wife was told that we would not be refunded and there was nothing we can do about it. My wife tried to ask for someone above her and was told there was no one. If you decide to still stay after reading this make sure you take pics of any discrepancies if you want your money back NEVER!!!!! again will I book here

First, the hotel is in a complete remodeling shambles.theres caution tape and plastic out front and every floor. The mold smell as soon as you come in tje lobby is so overwhelming and you can visually see mold on the ceilings throughout the building and in our room. The photos on losting shows an indoor pool and the actual amenities listing says outdoor pool. There is No Pool. There is nothing stated on the website about construction much less Heavy construction. The ac was struggling to keep cool. Out of concern for my wife and little ones due to there asthma i asked if we could cancel the reservation, and of course they said no. They will charge us full price. Keep in mind this full renovation is actually due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Omg. It was explained to me that they never originally dealt with the flood damages but attempted to remodel what had to be. So now this is whats being dealt with. Unfortunately i reserved 2 rooms, one for family friends and one for ours. So embarrassing. You only have 2 outlets in the double queen room, one at the desk and one between the beds.the flat screen tv has all of its wiring crammed in behind the tv that it has to be pointed up as its impossible to tilt it downwards. My biggest complaint and concern is the overwhelming smell of mold. Everything smells like it very heavily. Even the pillows are small twin bed size and flat. The only thing positive so far was the poor kid working at the desk who was apologizing profusely about the conditions. This is almost criminal as far as im concerned.

This was the most unprofessional place and the the fact they moved us three times and didn t want to make it convenient for us. Their services was horrible and I rate them as 1 Star! I hope the next time people travel from Florida to stay at their hotel they can be more respectful. The manager also put her hand in our face and her attitude was horrible. So called general manager/professional thief informed me that her cleaning lady said that the room smelled like smoke and she was keeping my 100.00 dollar deposit. First the room was 72.00 I went to my truck to smoke at least 6 times during my stay. Never once even brought my pack inside... Then the unprofessional loud mouth called the police to remove me from the property. Read reviews this is not a isolated incident.

The staff are ABSOLUTELY fabulous. I was there for my best buddys funeral and they treated me with absolute empathy and compassion. The young lady that checked me in knew I hadnt rested or eaten in a couple days and even offered to fix me something to eat as they have an absolutely fantastic breakfast buffet every morning!! I was tickled that their waffles are in the shape of Texas and tried to figure out a way to bring one home to New Mexico( unfortunately never did). I was pleasantly surprised at the 76 dollar and change price also considering the rooms have refrigerator and microwaves!. The beds are very comfy and rooms are very clean! All in all one of the BEST places I have ever stayed in.

Very musky when I walked it updated interior downstairs. Front desk lady was rude and not very helpful.Went up to my room was musky and damp everywhere including the bed.Went down stairs and asked new front desk lady who was nice for another room which wasnt damp and musky., also room was the size of a walk in closet but had everything I needed. Old towels left in bathroom....side note this stuff dont matter to me but I noticed the paint in dont piss poor and the cut alot of corners building this place.... This is a 45 dollar a night room max

Nice hotel and gud location into PA also quick exit back to Houston area.... I stay here all the time and like I said its a gud place to stay. But on my last visit I stayed on the first floor. It sounded like a track meet was being held in room above me. I called front desk about problem but it wasnt handled. The Direct TV was out from 10am to 7pm get the local carrier. Management should get Spectrum instead of waiting for a technician to come from Houston to fix a problem. And once again dont ever ever ever ever ever ever stay on the first floor. If you do bring your running shoes to join in on the track meet instead of listening to it.

I rated this place 1 star because the manager is very very rude & unprofessional. When I visit back home this is my hotel of choice everytime. We had a concern that the manager should have addressed no matter the time of day or night it was. When the front desk clerk called her she said, Ill deal with it in the morning now I understand she was in bed but sweetie you run an establishment that requires you to address every concern your patrons have especially when those patrons have to sleep in that space. Suspected bed bugs, with manager saying she would deal with it the next day made me feel uneasy. So youre suggesting that I allow my children and myself to sleep in a bed with possible bedbugs until you wake the next day. Manager finally decided to come with who Im guessing was maintenance after my sister spoke with her rude behind. Manager is adamant that they few bugs were not bedbugs so I checked mattress again as I always do when I arrive at a hotel no sign of infestation so we slept. It just bothered me that I knew those bugs on sheet were bedbugs so I kept the bugs and showed them to pest control and they confirmed they were in fact bedbugs. Needless to say the only reason I will not return to this establishment is because of the manager or lack there of. A NEW MANAGER is NEEDED at this establishment. Unprofessional manager soon equals failed establishment.

Motel was a decent price but you get what you pay for. The stay is ok until there is an issue. We stayed 4 nights and 2/4 nights the workers that stay there where ridiculous, TV full blast, alarms going for hours, phones ringing over and over again and loud uncontrolled guests after 10-11 and 12. The first crazy night we ended up staying because we were told the noisy hues left, the third night was fine but the fourth night the guests would not turn down tv, and enjoyed some very loud banter way after 11. We finally moved rooms around 11:30pm with 2 kids and tons of luggage (then had to drive 15 hrs home). When we asked to be compensated we were told this is the type of motel it was and there would be no compensation. The front desk worker wasn t sure how to deal with the situation and had to call the general manager twice and she basically told him NO again. We move with the military through many different states and country s and I ve never seen anything like this. Oh and I found dead roaches in the room we moved to but we were so tired I picked them up brought them to front desk and went to sleep, so that was a great end to our stay! If you want to sleep do not stay here, if you are not a permanent guest do not stay here, if you want what you pay for stay here.

Walls are a little thin but everything else is amazing. One of the better places to stay around. Editing the review from 4 star down. Ive been double charged and they are saying its not on their side. 2 different amounts, both over 400. Ill change the review back when this is settled. Everything has been settled. Overall this is a good hotel but not great for night shift workers.

Clean and modern looking hotel. The double rooms are small however, the beds are comfortable and has a smart tv. I was disappointed with the breakfast because I didnt get any. The food containers are too small for the amount of people that stay at the hotel or the food and coffee needs to be made quicker.

I had to go back down 3 floors carrying luggage because my room keys would no work. The desk person gave me 2 newly programmed keys and I returned to my 3d floor assigned room with my bags only to find my room already was occupied. I went back down 3 floors with my bags to the desk and was told I was given the correct room. I asked the clerk to kindly call the gentleman in the room to get his information. Finally, the two desk clerks said, It was an honest mistake. No one volunteered to go up and make sure my new room was unoccupied and that the room cards unlocked the door. I went back up 3 floors with my bags and finally was able to unlock an unoccupied room.

We always stay here when we come down to Port Arthur to fish. The rooms are clean and the place is boat friendly. With the free breakfast it makes it easier to quickly eat and get out on the water.

Completely RAN DOWN. I stayed here a couple times before about a year ago and they looked BRAND NEW. Everything was rusty and I was so uncomfortable sleeping there this time. They have knats really bad and they bite!!!! Also, you have to give them a $100 deposit for a tore up hotel room!!!! You will NOT get that money back until a week or so later! I just got my $100 back! So do NOT believe them when they say It should be back in a couple days. It took an entire week. But this hotel is a BUST. Not worth the money or the deposit.

This place is horrible there are roaches and a strong smell of mildew from the flood front desk staff was very unprofessional always on their phone instead of dealing with customers when you have an issue and try to bring it up to the GM she is very rude and unprofessional and doesnt try to fix the problem

I work in commercial remodeling. Its my job to see problems, so most folks wouldnt have an issue with (or notice) things I saw. The lobby had a very musty smell. Most likely from a roof leak near the front desk. I didnt see any visible signs of mildew or mold, but the smell was obvious. It made me question if this location was damaged during hurricane Harvey last year or not, but the building looked newly remodeled. The musty smell in the lobby made me question the quality and or thoroughness of the work that was done (though its possible that the smell was solely due to the roof leak). I thought about trying to find a different place to stay because of my mold allergies when we arrived, but we were tired and just wanted to sleep. The front desk staff was friendly despite our arrival after midnight. They did require a $100 security deposit because we booked our stay using a third party. Ill try to update this post if the deposit is refunded, but as of the writing of this post it is still pending on my account. (Edit: the deposit was refunded) The elevator is squeaky, and probably needs to be serviced. The room we stayed in did not have the smell present in the lobby, which made me feel a little better about spending a night there, but there were other issues. The smoke detector in the room was covered up in plastic. The fire alarm sprinkler in the bathroom was covered in drywall. The toilet seat was barely attached. The cover for the light fixture in the bathroom was broken. There was a visible drywall screw on one of the walls. The drywall under the window sill was torn up with quite a few holes between the air conditioning unit and the window. These were not small nail holes, but rather large holes and dents in the drywall. This was just a one night stay. I spent maybe an hour in the suite while I wasnt sleeping so Im sure there were other issues. The furnishings, beds, and television looked new and were clean. The cleaning staff, that we had a short encounter with while getting on the elevator, seemed professional and courteous. The continental breakfast was adequate. Nothing special. Despite the staff being one of the better that Ive experienced and the room being clean, I would not recommend staying here at this time due to all of the other issues that were encountered.

The hotel is tired but it is clean and the breakfast was very good. However, because I used an on-line service to book my room, even though I paid at the sight, I was asked for my card again and charged a 100.00 deposit. When I asked why this was required the answer was Because you booked on-line. When I asked if I would have been charged a deposit if I had just walked in off the street I was told NO it was only required because I booked on-line. I was informed it would be refunded upon check out -- it was not. Upon checkout I was informed that the lady who issued refunds would not be in until 2 pm. It is now 5 days later and the 100.00 charge is still showing as Pending in my bank and unavailable to me. This is unacceptable. They did not have to wait for their money from a 3rd party booking service -- I paid myself at the site. This is a scam!

I have stayed here a lot. It s my go to place if I don t want to make the 2 hour drive home after work. It is hit and miss in the rooms. Some are nice and some have nasty carpet. The breakfast is not on par with some places so I never eat it. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a gas station right next to it which is nice because there is nothing else around.
