YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH THIS AMAZING RESTAURANT! I had the Galeana Plate which is Queso Panela en salsa with two eggs and frijoles de olla on the side. momma bear had antojitos plate, it has chicharrón en salsa roja, frijoles fritos, two eggs and nopales. Finally baby jenaiah had taco de barbacoa with refried beans on the side. The coffee is strong and very hot which is really good, Lemonade is fresh, tea is good and chocolate milk is made to perfection. We loved it so much that our plates were left cleaned! Fernando s restaurant has the best handmade flour and corn tortillas! Did I mention the staff is very attentive and the ambiance is causal! 10/10 please visit them soon!

Fatal to start the service late and to finish . They give you the mark up to what you dont consume, you tell them in an attentive way that they are charging you more and they get upset... you ask to speak to someone else and someone else arrives the same but talking to you nicely without any favorable results in the end you pay for The intention is not to stop paying and rather to not overcharge. And the most impressive thing is that you pay and they charge you 5 dollars more and they tell you that is what they charge in all the restaurants for paying with a card and of course nooo so BE CAREFUL, they are opportunists and if you dont see your ticket they will take your money Its ridiculous that if you order salsa they charge you 3 dollars if you order lunch after 11 they charge you $2 if you breathe the air they charge you $20 in a few words 0 Recommended

They take time to provide service at least Amy that day they served me the cup first and until my food arrived they brought me coffee then they gave me my receipt for some pankakes for 14 something. and we ate lunch of eggs beans and a bacon 2 people and It was almost 38 dollars apart from the tip...the truth is I will not return to Fernandos not so much because of the price but because of the service they gave me

What a crappy thing they sell...and then you tell them you dont like it and they charge you however they want. The only thing customers want is to sell their low-priced Menudo. I wont go again. If they had wanted to change the dish without any other cost it would be very different. But they lose more. Think my people before ordering.

The food doesn t have much flavor even after you add salt, and you hve to pay for potatoes separately when any other breakfast diner includes them in their plates. For the most part it is good. The prices are charged differently than what is on the menu. Prices are cheaper on menu and then you get charged more on the receipt. More expensive than other restaurants and you get less. It s pretty packed on Sundays so don t except to get helped or checked out quickly, but regardless the ladies are nice!

The huevos rancheros plate looked very simple, they could have added potatoes, fried tortilla under the eggs or something else to make the plate more appealing. The huevos rancheros for $4.60 you get 2 eggs & refried beans(the bacon was extra $2.25). The eggs were almost cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was pretty good, the refried beans were delicious i think they had lard, the bacon was cold and soft but Id say just okay. The tortillas both flour and corn are pretty good. The service was fast but the attention of the waitress was lacking. Overall just an okay place for breakfast, the flavors arent great.

I really like this place, although it is in the USA they serve Mexican food, I highly recommend the Mexican beef tongue dish with its exquisite and huge flour tortillas, I dont recommend the corn tortillas very much, they have a strange flavor, but everything The rest of what they serve is delicious and the coffee is also delicious its a shame they no longer serve that language dish

If I could give it more stars, I would. Excellent food and excellent service. They serve you with warmth and make you feel at home. Everything tastes like authentic Mexican food. Featured dishes on our table: - Mason beans - Divorced eggs - Chorizo in sauce - Chilaquiles - The tortillas are freshly made and are incredible And the cherry on the cake: the coffee is freshly ground and is spectacular. A MUST stop for breakfast in McAllen, especially if you want to eat authentic Mexican food.
