After getting out from Ybarra s Tamales in Weslaco very disappointed and disgusted, we drove directly to Delia s Tamales in Pharr, Texas. What a difference just turning into parking lot. Immediately we knew we were in for good service, delicious tamales and very friendly staff. When we walked in, we were amazed at the atmosphere, cleanliness, and chairs/tables to sit and dine in. We took a menu and ordered dozens and dozens of different kind of tamales to bring back home to Corpus. The staff was friendly, attentive and patient as we reviewed the menu once and twice because we didn t want to miss the different kind of tamales. They even had an advertisement on front door that some frozen tamales were at reduced price. We ordered in access of over $200 worth of delicious tamales. The hot sauces are extremely DELICIOUS, especially the RED SAUCE. After we ordered we sat down and couldn t wait to feast on Delia s Tamales. The inside climate was perfect on this hot, hot day. THANK YOU DELIA S TAMALES FOR NOT DISAPPOINTING US. We will be back and rest assured we are definitely recommending Delia s Tamales. By the way we only spent $7.50 for half a dozen of chicken tamales at Ybarra s ( we just tasted them and will not eat any of the rest at all). No one can go wrong with Delia s Tamales, wishing for a Delia s Tamales here in Corpus Christi.

Today we stopped because we were taking tamales to dallas for my son and also having breakfast and let me say i saw so many new faces the personnel was very kind and welcoming i was helped by a gentleman named david and a young lady who did not have a name tag they were so kind and patient with me! when we sat to eat a gentleman named raul was just great! i am so happy with the service today definitely coming back the menudo was great tamales were delicious we had chicken and cheese and pork tamales also very pleased!

I stepped in into the location located on 2000 N Jackson rd phaar tx as I always like to do on the weekends for my order of tamales and pozole however this time I found the service very rude after placing the order for my pozole I was approached by the lady making tortillas to ensure that I had actually ordered and not just trying to get free tortillas after finishing those tortillas I got up to ask for some more and once more she approached my table to make sure I did not have any left over before giving extra ones I found this very disrespectful and get the sense this location was accusing me of wanting to steal or get stuff for free

I ve bought Delia s Tamales when I lived in the valley many years ago. They were delicious and consistent recipe. We were in the valley for a couple of days and picked up several dozen to bring back. Hadn t had any in several years. I m sorry to say they have changed. They do not taste like the old Delia s pork tamales recipe. We can t figure what s different? Pork flavor lacks spices like red peppers and not sure what else. Corn masa same consistency but flavor also changed. We are disappointed to say the least. Please go back to the pork tamales recipe she originally became famous for.
