The WORST service ever!!! We came in an hour before their closing time. We ordered within 10 min of getting seated. Loved the ambience. The food was bland. Hated the server s attitude. You should just close the restaurant if you don t like having people. We would understand the reason for their attitude if we stayed past their closing time, but no. NEVER GOING BACK. Save yourself. There are so many better Japanese food serving places. Was so excited for this.

Been following this place for years to try on my many trips to the Fort Worth Zoo. My family love this place, incredible great value which you won t get in Dallas area like Plano, Frisco. This is the coolest dining experience I have been had in a ALL YOU CAN EAT place. Service and atmosphere were top touch.

Japan House is a hidden gem for sushi lovers on a budget! If youre looking for an AYCE (All You Can Eat) sushi spot that doesnt break the bank, this is the place to be. The vibe here is cozy and homey, with traditional Japanese decor that makes you feel like you ve been transported to a little sushi house in Japan. The sushi? Fresh and delicious! From classic rolls to specialty items, everything was spot on. The portions were generous, and I couldn t believe how great the quality was for the price. The service was quick and friendly our servers were always attentive without hovering, which made for a relaxed dining experience. Whether you re with friends, family, or on a solo sushi mission, Japan House gives you great food at an even better value. If you re a sushi fan who loves a good deal, you ll definitely want to check this place out!

I ate here for my birthday this year and it did not disappoint! Had tons of options on the All You Can Eat menu and every one I ordered was delicious! In addition, the atmosphere and service were both stellar! The Chicken Katsu was easily the crispiest chicken Ive ever had! I had the Yakitori, Karaage, Pork Buns, Pork Gyoza, Pork Ramen and a virgin, frozen strawberry daiquiri and would recommend all of them!

Went in on a Saturday around lunch time. The atmosphere is very nice here. Traditional Asian decor is spread through out the restaurant which is very enjoyable. The restaurant itself has a cool style/representation. Depending on which area of the restaurant your seated, the rooms feature different styles, its worth going multiple times to explore and experience them. The food is great, I payed around $34 dollars for the weekend priced ayce menu. I order a good selection of appetizers and sushi. The food is great here, fresh and favorable with nice presentation. I will galdly come back again.

I really dont understand 5 star reviews here. Other than the server that was nice the food was not even close to what I expected for $35 buffet. Spicy tuna is the worst ive seen in any sushi place, a weird mushy red/pink mix that tastes or looks nothing like tuna, surely full of colorants. I couldnt finish after first bite. They need to remove that from the menu because thats not tuna. Misso was also tasteless. They charge you if you dont finish your plate but wont give you quality food so you can finish it! I will stick to a la carte sushi. Never again.

We love going to Japan House. The Ahi Tower is the best around. Last time we tried the caterpillar roll which was also excellent. The Japanese croquet was also delicious. Their service is quick and they have a robot who brings some items. The restaurant can be a bit cool so I like to bring a light jacket. This is an all you can eat restaurant so you pay one price for the whole meal. That being said, going for lunch is cheaper so that might be a better option if youre on a budget.

My family and I decided to try out this restaurant on 8/17/24. Without a reservation, the wait time was only 15 minutes, which is perfectly fine with me as Im used to waiting longer at other restaurants. The atmosphere was nice, beautifully decorated interior. As youre waiting, they provide a menu to look at prior to sitting down. The only issue I would have with the decor is that the Qr code on the tables were peeling a bit, so it was a bit irritating to brush my arm past sometimes. Taking a look around at other tables, you can see that some tables have either low sodium soy sauce or regular soy sauce. For example, my table only had low sodium soy sauce, while the one beside me had regular. Personally, Id recommend having both condiments at the table so patrons could choose what theyd prefer. We soon ordered some drinks: a Pepsi, diet Pepsi, strawberry lemonade, mango lemonade, and a Japanese old fashion. The sodas had no gas in them, meaning they were incredibly flat. The strawberry lemonade and the mango lemonade were decent. However, all these drinks had barely any ice, making them room temperature. Ive gone to restaurants before where you have to ask for ice, or its served separately with a can, or just in the drink already. Ive never experienced having flat warm sodas with four small ice until yesterday at Japan House. The Japanese old fashion had extremely too much syrup. Yet was the only drink to have a decent amount of ice. Moving on to food: one of our dishes were Japanese croquettes, which is one of the main reasons for us going to this restaurant... It just flat out wasnt good. There was no taste and only 4 peas and another 4 pieces of carrot in the potato. (I took the croquette apart to let it cool and saw the filling, no exaggeration) Another dish was the Crab Meat Onigiri, which my family has had plenty of times before this restaurant, so we were expecting something similar. I assume the restaurant was trying something new with how they presented the onigiri, however it just looked like a child poorly wrapping a gift. As for the taste it was eh, Id prefer to go somewhere else. Fried Gyoza was another dish we ordered, also ehh. It was edible, but I had to drown it in soy sauce for actual flavor. One of the most unsatisfying dishes there was the pork buns. Ive also had these before elsewhere, so I knew what to expect, however that wasnt the case. In most review images of this dish, the bun seems to be filled a good amount with meat and vegetables. As for mine, it was scraps of meat and an overwhelming amount of onions; more onions than meat. The sauce was very delicious, that was all that dish had to offer. My mother had the crunchy salad, which she very much disliked. Having to spit out the food into a napkin, she asked the waiter to take it away. The only side that was not too bad, was the clear soup. It was a different flavor than any other clear soup Ive had before, but it was unique and good in its own way. The shrimp tempura was meh, as it only tasted like breading. It was decided as a group to just go to another restaurant, so we asked for the check. Our waiter was very nice throughout the whole experience and charged each dish individually as it was cheaper than charging 3 all-you-can-eat prices. She did this on her own, as we were expecting and okay with paying $90+ and the leftovers fee. Was really hoping this would be a good restaurant, unfortunately it didnt meet close to any of our expectations.

Service and atmosphere were excellent! Service was timed well, and we always had dishes. The calamari, pork buns, and crispy rice dishes were very good. The seaweed used throughout the rest of the dishes was very chewy to the point that we had to discard it in our napkins, and the takoyaki was undercooked. I was so excited to try this place for my birthday but was, unfortunately, overall disappointed. Vegetarian options: Plenty of options available and staff is very accommodating Parking: Plenty of parking available and ramp was clearly accessible for ease of entry. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available and wide doorways for easy access

Most food was really good and fresh such as fried items. You cant order half portions from the menu. For example, 4 roll pieces in one order is a lot for me especially in an all you can eat place. Fills you up quick. I rather have one roll piece of each kind and if I like it, I will usually get 1 or 2 more pieces. I prefer a buffet spread where I can get my own portions like the other Japan House up north I visited many years ago. Ice cream was the only dessert.

AYCE sushi. Dinner is more expensive but you can get sashimi. Smaller portions, but you get to try more. Limit 5 plates at a time. The salmon, yellow tail tuna and red snapper are great. Dinner sushi rolls are very good, take you pick. Skip the miso soup and house salad. It can get busy so order as much as you can first. Get some single pieces and some rolls. They will come out staggered as the rolls take longer. This way you dont have huge gaps in food.

So let me start by saying I have had several friends tell me about this spot. I had heard good things so I decided to check it out for myself. At first I was thinking the All You Can Eat price was a bit high. But then when I started to think about other places and what I spend on a few rolls I know this is a great deal. Especially since your able to try so many different items. I went on a Saturday for dinner and the entire menu was available. The portions are perfect really the rolls come out in 4 pieces and the sashimi comes in 3 pieces. If you come come hungry hahaa to get the most but even then its worth it if you want to try things you never had before because of the small sizes. Also they have a rule about wasting food which I think is a good idea. They charge $5 if you leave too much food. Another thing is that if you come come with someone thats willing to try anything incase you dont like something you can give it to them and wont waste anything. The dinner was $34 and I had a beer with it which was like $5. You can order up to 5 items at a time I believe i was doing 3 at a time so I was cautious of waste and had none. The service was great I dont remember my waiters name but dude was great. Also it takes a min to get the food as its all made fresh. I think I spent about an hour and a half in there. Which was fine by me as I was able to eat and look for new things to try. I definitely recommend checking it out Especially if you enjoy seafood or sushi!

Sushi rolls were great, smaller portions so you can order more. Sashimi was great. Nigiri was absolute butttttt. :( dry rice and room temperature fish really kinda ruined ordering anymore after our initial order. But the rolls and sashimi were good.

Ordered a dish with salmon. After tasting, advised the waiter and manager the fish was potentially rotten.Manager said he would go to the kitchen and check on the issue. Returned and confirmed that he had served us rotten salmon, and that they would replace it with fresh salmon and offered us more. As we spoke with the manager he laughed about the issues and was very unapologetic and rude. I would advise everybody that their health is more important than trying this restaurant!

Disappointed is an understatement. My husband and I were regulars of Japan House, until last night. We drove 30 minutes out of the way, fighting bad traffic, on a Friday night expecting great service and sushi like we have had in the past. We got there and ordered our food. We were sitting there and waiting for 30 minutes, while we watched others getting their food. Ok, maybe they were short staffed, we said. Kept waiting. I looked around, it was 5pm on a Friday night, it wasn t that busy. Finally, after 30 plus minutes, our server comes up to us to inform us that our order hadn t gone through. Meanwhile, she hadn t come to check on us once, was busy talking to other servers, sitting down, etc. I understand making mistakes, but common sense should have told her to follow up after about 10 or 15 minutes. She neglected to do anything the whole 30 plus minutes we were kept waiting. We ended up leaving and going to Sushi SoHo in Bedford, just 10 mins down the road. The service was great and food was delicious. Very disappointed with Japan House, as this was our sushi place.

This is an absolute hidden gem! The all-you-can-eat special is the best. It s $20 for as much sushi, appetizers, dessert, etc. you can eat. Most things on the menu are available for the special. We love coming here in a large group and everybody always leaves feeling full and happy. An affordable sushi experience that isn t short of quality!

Its dim inside, but in the coziest way! The food was really good quality, and had good variety, too; the all-you-can-eat menu is worth the price. The service was great, too. Next time we go here, we want to sit in one of the tatami rooms! Also, they have the cutest cat robot there to help them serve food. If its someones birthday, you can ask for it to bring you ice cream with a candle and itll sing to you! Id come again for the catbot alone, ha-ha. Dietary restrictions: I have several health conditions which necessitate a strict and weird diet (no sugary foods, not too high a ratio of white grains, no red meat, only up to a bite or two of fried foods, no tomato-based foods, careful with vinegar, no spicy foods, etc.). They have a ton of options for me here! Parking: Though they had a parking lot of a decent size, theyre popular enough that, when we went (Sunday night), it was difficult to find a spot. I am handicapped; they really need more handicap spots so people who really struggle with the Texas heat dont have to walk far. There were hardly any. Thankfully, someone else was driving and I could be dropped off near the ramp. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp which leads up from a van-unloading handicap spot to the entrance, but youll need someone else to open the doors. Its also unlikely that that spot wont already be taken if you go for dinner on a weekend, at least.

I recently dined at Japan House and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere was serene and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. The menu offered a wide variety of amazing dishes, each more delicious than the last. I particularly enjoyed the appetizers, sushi, and sashimis quality, rich flavor, and freshness. The food presentation was also top-notch, adding to the overall dining experience. I cant wait to revisit Japan House and explore more of their menu. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delightful Japanese dining experience! Thank you Japan House for the warm welcome and amazing staff and dining!

I left this place furious today. This is not my first time there but will be my last time. We usually would have a great time but not today. Im solo parenting this weekend so I came with my two little kids today, one of them is not even a year old. Baby is a bit fuzzy. The service was extremely slow. We spent a lot of time waiting around, so baby gets cracky. After her tossing every piece of toy, I asked for ice cubes for her to play, and that s pretty much the only thing she liked. It was indeed messy, the ice did drop on the floor and melt, right under the baby s seat. The manager came to me and said, I m afraid we cannot let her play with ice anymore, as you can see it s all wet on the floor and people can slip. The pile of water was right under her seat, not anywhere people would walk! I was already really frustrated with the service, so I didn t want to start an argument with him, and just gave him the cup of ice back. My older kid finished eating, got off his seat and came to play with his baby sister. I did tell him a few times to be mindful about people around him, but kids being kids. I know he can get in the way and be annoying, but he s not a disastrous and misbehaved child. My server walked by and gave him an earful, and told him to sit on his seat. i was shocked. Ok let s talk about food. When I asked for Eel for the second time, I only got tiny pieces of tail parts. I m not sure if it s intentional, but it is very likely, judging from their attitude towards me. What s interesting is this only happens when I m there by myself with kids. When my husband went with us several times before, I never felt utterly disrespected and unwelcomed like this. Do not call yourself a family friendly place if this is how you treat a mother with two little kids.

Lots of variety on the menu and food is brought out freshly made. The quality isnt the best in my opinion. The fried items were good but the sushi was disappointing, which was what we came here for. The nori had a rubbery texture and the sashimi tasted too fishy. Service was quick and attentive.

We only found this place by driving by and made an exit to come give it a shot. We were very happy we did so and will be back. Its a great value that I highly recommend. As a last note, they handled my food allergies with ease. Gluten, egg, and dairy are my challenges that were no problem. Update: we have continued to come back and enjoyed every experience.

I have been looking for a good Japanese Restaurant near the stadium. This was the closest and best. It just happened to be a AYCE place. It is exactly like any Japanese restaurant except the portions are 2/3 the regular restaurant size, but you can order endlessly for the same price. It is an excellent value and the flavors are what I expect from a non-AYCE place. Ordering by the menu keeps everything hot, fresh and delicious. I imagine it cuts down on waste too. I went too long trying to find a place like this.

Fine, but not a fancy place. All you can wear for $33.99 was very good. Much better than a buffet. They bring the food freshly prepared to your table. Our group agreed that the food quality was very good. There are about 172 items on menus and I recommend you look the menus over before coming and pick out what you want to try. Otherwise you are winging it and dont know what to get.

Zack the bartender literally licked his fingers while talking to me and did not think twice. While sitting at the bar, I did not see him wash his hands once and I had two drinks. The only reason Id come back here is for BRIAN. The only server that thought to stop and check on us and make sure we were getting taken care of. Took us a whole hour before getting our drinks and we were already done eating. Nobody but Brian looked like or acted like they wanted to be there. The person grabbing the plates took our ginger and Wasabi while we were still eating which did not make any sense. All in all, might be a great deal that the whole menu is all you can eat but quality was mid at best and the length of waiting each round was extensive because they kept forgetting - we only did 3 rounds and we waited 1.5 hours for 2 people. This place shows no respect to the Japanese culture -- coming from someone that has lived in Japan because real Japanese wouldnt treat customers this way. Glass breaking every second from the waiters because theyre overwhelmed. Not a place to come and relax for a nice meal.

I thoroughly enjoyed. But it wasnt what I was expecting. I imagined a cheap buffet complete with a side of food poisoning. But this was different, ordering from a menu, yet all you can eat. They should not advertise themselves as a buffet. Other restaurants like Fogo de Chao are served by staff while being all you can eat. Change the name and this place would be great.

Great place for special occasions. The inside looks great as well. We went in with a party of 9 and went on a Saturday night. Amazing service and awesome food. I do love the idea of everyone being able to get different things. It is an AYCE style restaurant. But the portions werent huge - which was perfect and allowed us to try a lot of different things. And since it was unlimited, you could always just get more of any particular thing you liked. I love the fact you can get ramen, sushi, hibachi, etc in the same sitting. Price wise it is certainly not cheap, but well worth the money. We averaged about $50 per person after everything was said and done. Would highly recommend. Great place for Japanese food. My only grip would be the parking lot isnt that huge. I can imagine it getting packed on certain weekends.

We came here for my sons birthday today. This spot offers an all-you-can-eat buffet for around $35 per person, but the rule is you cant leave any food uneaten, or theyll charge you $5 per plate for leftovers. The food was delicious, fresh, and tasteful Their food options are endless and can fit anyone for mostly any diets or eating plans one might be on. The atmosphere was cozy, there are a lot of sectioned off places that make it feel like it s just you there, Our waitress was probably one of the best waitresses we had. She was funny, Personable and attentive I definitely recommend this place but I would recommend making a reservation before hand, it does get a little busy.
