Had lunch with a large group of ladies We had a wonderful time!! Our server did a great job of taking care of us!! We all got our food at the same time, it was hot and delicious! No problem with separate checks Those of us that had drinks really enjoyed them!!! Definitely be back!

The staff being polite is all that saved this from a 1 star. Quoted 20-40 for a table, sat at 50 minutes. Took another 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. My wifes crispy tacos were maybe half filled and looked like old/dry meat. My enchiladas were okay, not great.

Went to Chuys to pick up dinner tonight and ordered the fajitas family combo. Waited over 20min past scheduled pick up time of 7:36 (7:58) for my food. Drove home (almost 30 min) unpacked the food and found no tortillas. I had ordered both corn and flour. Had to go to the grocery store and spend more money just to be able to eat the dinner I ordered and paid for. I have had several smaller issues in the past with the Togo orders not always being modified correctly but did not expect to be missing an essential portion of my meal. I have actually left feedback with Chuys directly in the past over Togo orders not being right but got no response. So now I am leaving a public review saying the service and management is sub par. Management needs to follow up on 1 star feedback from customers and Togo staff needs to do their damn job and check the food before it goes out. Be better Chuys!

Passing through town, stopped for dinner on a Sunday evening. Not packed or too busy maybe a family ahead of us, told a 15-20min wait for a table for 2. give hostess phone # and take a seat outside, since there isnt much a waiting area inside. Watched other families come and get seated before us. After 30+ min waiting, go inside and check with hostess where we are in the queue. Somehow, phone #/name was just lost or erased off the list?? Thats pretty inconvenient considering we have been waiting over half hour and watched mutiple families get sat ahead of us. Ask what they do to compensate their error. Get told that guests usually check with the hostess...well yes, that is what people would do waiting so long. Get seated and then sit and wait .... again. Before anyone even came to our table we decided to leave. Dont go to NB often but can tell ya wont be back. Rudys was better, fast service and no wait. Can see Chuys franchise in great hands after the sale.

Edit. Service not so great today. The first Miller Lite came in a SALTED (on the inside) glass and foamed over. I said IF I order another, please no salt on the cup. Then the waitress just brings me another beer. I thought it was on the house since the first class was not drinkable since it was so salty. Nope. Then I asked for more tomatillo sauce and I get another beer. She was shocked and thought I ordered another beer. I just gave it to someone on the table. The chicken enchiladas boom boom ARE GREAT THOUGH. But, no salt on domestic beers and please ask first.

My kids brought me here for dinner Saturday night. I had never been here before so didnt know anything about the place. There were three adults and two babies in our party. The wait was 40 minutes. If you have ever had babies, you know 40 minutes with littles is a lifetime. We opted to sit outside and be seated immediately. The giant fans they have on the patio made it very nice to sit outside despite the heat. Our server was very nice and was shocked that I have never been to a Chuys. I ordered one of the frozen mango margaritas. In my opinion, the $4 extra for the cup wasnt worth the price. The margarita was great but not worth $14. We got the chips with salsa, and they brought the Jalapeño ranch. Good lord, that stuff is addictive! I could have eaten an entire vat. We ordered our food and enjoyed our drinks and the chips and salsa. We were there for almost 40 minutes before we started asking about our food. After an hour, we finally received our food. My daughter in laws food had been sitting so long that if you tried to put your finger in it, it bounced off. They had to get her new food. It took so long I just asked for a to go box. I was full of chips and salsa. The server tried to make up for the long wait. She was really good. I would suggest coming early in the day if you dont want a wait.

Great food and friendly service. Three of us split Combo Fajitas for two. Plenty of beef and chicken with everything. This included rice, refried beans, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, pico, and more. Included are both flour and corn tortillas with great chips and salsa. Ritas of course, great. We asked for non dairy for one member of the group. The manager came out later to let us know that the request wasnt recognized initially and that they needed to cook the food again. Honesty and transparency is in the building. Parking: A little different approach to parking but not difficult. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps available.

Takeouts this time. Just as fast and courteous. Very fast. Did was what were ordered and got and tasty. Service with a smile. I also witnessed calm under pressure as young workers tolerated an irritated Customer. I want the one to be nosey but could discern that it was about the order type and a mix up. I can tell ya that it happens in the best of situations but what does not help is when a customer acts out to make things unnecessarily worse. From my perspective, and listening in because quite frankly I wasn t going to leave the immediate area due to an irritated customer, it seems that the customer was the one who was misstating his order. He was very picky yet non-specific about his order. Things like going through the entire order (bags) to count the four tortillas when they were explained they were given additional courtesy tortillas. Mumbling under their breath the whole time. Having the young attendants bouncing in and out , in and out to service their every question and whim. Digging relentlessly thru the bags again. Wife coming in to check and appearing to be frustrated at her hubby. Then heading back to their vehicle. Then back again. It was sad. In fact I arrived after these folks, waited, received my order and left and they were still there as the wife watched me happily drive away. I could be wrong, of course. But I ve been around 6 decades. I ve seen a thing or three. The man was just giving off horrible vibes. Why share this? Great patience and kudos to the staff. It ain t easy! Pay them well. They earn it often in ways upper management will never know. Yes, pay them well and in turn, they will tolerate a lot and represent your establishment well in return. Great job! Great takeout location!

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. From start to finish, the service was abysmal and the managements handling of the situation was equally disheartening. Upon arriving, we were left waiting for over 90 minutes despite having been seated at 13:00. Once seated, our waiter was inattentive and seemed more interested in lying to us and telling us they were slow because they were on a shift change. Bare in mind. Restaurant was only open 2 hours. We had to get our own drinks at the bear because there no waiter around. One the waiter decided to show up it was already 25 minutes since we had sat down. Waited almost a hour and still no food. food took an excessively long time to arrive, and when it did, it was well over a hour and we werent even hungry anymore. When we tried to address these issues with the manager, their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. They offered no apology and made no effort to rectify the situation.Overall, the combination of poor service and an unresponsive manager made for a terrible dining experience. I would not recommend Restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant meal Many other places in New Braunfels offer much better service and food.

We LOVE Chuys, but this was the worst experience we have ever encountered ant a restaurant. After waiting willingly for 30 minutes to be seated, we opted for the first available table under the covered patio. We ordered immediately when we sat down. It was raining and we were getting wet. I used an umbrella at our table. Multiple wait staff walked by and none of them bothered to say anything about the fact that our family was getting soaked. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food and getting wet, my husband went to talk to the manager and ask if we could be moved. She offered nothing. Said sorry I don t have anything. Didn t even come to look at the conditions. My family physically moved our table ourselves to try and get my son and I out of the rain. Unbelievable! We won t be back to this location again.

Rebecca treated me and her and her hostess were awesome to talk to about a really good burrito. I was seated and John a very country boy kind of person helped me get a in my face burrito with boom boom and Christmas sauce which is half green and half red chili on top. It was a very tasty plate although I thought I said no rice but moved it to the side. No problem and had extra fixings inside too. It was a little extra but I guess that to be expected. Food came out quickly and he kept on top of my refills. I really enjoyed the chips and pico salsa. Great job. Didn t take pictures.

Went in with a friend for lunch on a Saturday after floating the river. I ve been vegan for over ten years so I asked if they could make veggie fajitas. Server was great and asked the kitchen. Fajitas skillet comes out and it s literally onions and bell peppers. Talked to the server about maybe getting some of the veggies that are listed under the veggie enchiladas like zucchini. New plate comes out and it s basically the same thing but with 6 or 7 TINY zucchini pieces and maybe 10 kernels of corn mixed in. And of course I got charged full price for this sad dish. It s 2024 guys, can you please add at least one good vegan option to your menu? I won t be coming back until you do.

To-go orders are overly complicated. They texted me 4 times over the course of 5 minutes from 2 different numbers. They sent me out the front door and told me to walk around the back of the restaurant to the staff entrance for my pick up. A poor elderly man was occupying the only metal chair designated for to-go orders in the Texas heat. Then the charged me extra for salsa that I would have gotten for free at the table. These days, I expect a little more to-go consideration, particularly from a restaurant that was built recently.

Just to get in the door we waited 40 minutes, the waitress Z was outstanding getting our order and keeping up with the drinks and did a wonderful job keeping our chips and dip filled while going back and forth to the kitchen checking our order. On the other hand we placed our order and waited an hour just to come to a point where we ended up paying $120 to get our food to go and have 1 missing entree out of our order for a whopping 4 person order. The two redeeming qualities of the restaurant were Z the waitress and the strength of the margaritas, otherwise I would totally say it was an absolute failure not to mention the flavor of the food was mediocre at best. It s a shame because I live 5 minutes away and would have liked to have a new place to go out to eat.

I was told this is a new Chuy s and it s definitely a great place to eat. Our server was sweet and on top of everything. Our food was excellent and you have to try the queso appetizer! Kid-friendliness: Our waitress Katherine was amazingly understanding with our autistic 4 year old son. It definitely helped ease the anxiety a parent has when eating out with a special needs child. I made her aware that we may not be able to dine in for long and would need to go boxes as I didn t know how long he would sit. She was very kind and understanding and made sure to send in his order first so he d receive it quicker. She accommodated my request to have plain fries as he is very picky and will not eat unless made to his liking. This young lady definitely went above and beyond and I appreciate how well she treated us. Please take care of her!

First time at this Chuy s in New Braunfels! Food was excellent. I had the Shrimp Taco meal and I will order this again next time I come. Service was quick even thought it was Mother s Day and very busy. Glad that we came! Parking: Lots of parking around the building. Access to North 35 is a bit tough. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.

We ordered several nacho kits to-go for a resident event at Canyon House Apartments. Chuy s made it soooo easy for us! Rebecca helped me figure out what would work best for our price point and amount of people. From pick up to setting it up for the residents, the entire event was a huge breeze and the residents loved it. We will for sure be using them again! I highly recommend using them for any large catering needs!

Been here a couple times. The food usually tastes good. It takes FOREVER to get it though. Ordered fajitas, never got the tortillas. Waiter was attentive but had to keep being asked for refills on drinks and chips. Pretty pricey.

Pretty much a disaster food was fine however we never received our plates for our fajitas. Had to eat on napkins until finally got someone s attention halfway through the meal Our side orders requested never came. We were constantly running out of drinks and chips. Place is not ready to be open from a training perspective, only order out here folks unless you want the most aggravating meal you ve ever had.

Food /service was great. Some people might not like their hot sauce for your chips. It is different. They service two kinds. One is like a cream ranch the other is chunky tomatoes and onions. I liked them both. I had lunch and did not have to wait long to be seated. We walked in and did not have reservations. Give it a try. Parking: It is kind of hard to locate the driveway to pull into Chuys but they have plenty of parking.

You cant go wrong with Chuys. This location was as good as all others. My only complaint was that a trainer and a new server didnt seem to know that a table 5 adults at a large table need more than a single basket of chips and a single cup of salsa. Other than that, everything else was great.

The food was good. The waitress was professional and sincere. However my complaint was the long wait not just to get a table but the long wait to get our drinks and our food and the lack of attention to detail but such as not bringing spoon with the coffee or with our tea but a straw is fine. However I was also surprised there was no condiments on the table other than a salt and pepper shaker.

Curbside was ready at 4:10, checked in at 4:24, called to see if they got my check in (parkinglot was empty on our side and 2 pick up orders breezed through). One person answered and went to check but never got back. The next person to pick up the phone asked again how they can help me, reiterated and waited. Food came out at 4:40 COLD. Chips are STALE. Called back and asked for management to see if it was a technical issue with the timing and got HUNG UP ON. I will drive to San Marcos before I go back to this location. PS. I did just pull a ligament in my foot or I would normally walk in at that point, hence to the curbside pick up.

Good prices for Mexican food. Fast and efficient. Nice menu. We had the enchiladas with your choice of sauce and the shrimp tacos. My husband enjoyed the salsa that came with the chips, just a little to hot for me.(I am a low spice level gal). Beans and rice were good tasting as well. They offer decent portion sizes for the price. Not excessive. Will go back again. Also, staff was very friendly, attentive and professional.
