This was some of the most tasteless Chinese food I have ever had. The fried rice had no eggs, onions, green onions nothing just hard fried rice. The rice noodles with vegetables was the same way no flavor. I have never had any fried rice or rice noodles that didnt even have a flavored oil like sesame seed or at least a little soy sauce fish sauce something. I was so very excited to try and totally DISAPPOINTED SO BAD. Sorry to say wont be eating here again.

Went to get my pick up order June 8th. I had never been to the location so when I walked in I thought I could go into the restaurant but some lady sitting down told me you have to wait here. Then a window open and a child was standing there and rudely asked what are you here for? I said to pick up my food and gave the name. The rudeness is unacceptable. Never spending a dime pick up or delivery at this establishment ever again

Ive been coming here for decades. Always have great food and huge portions. I wish you would hurry up and open the dining area soon. I live an hour away so take out or delivery is pretty much out of the question. Were in Mesquite pretty regularly and miss eating there. You have us spoiled because no one else has come close to being as good as your food is. We miss eating here.

These people are so rude to those who can t understand what they re saying. My husband called to make a delivery order and the lady was explaining something about his beef chow mein and he wasn t understanding. He was asking politely what she meant and she kept rambling, we still couldn t understand her. We then said we just wanted it how it came and she caught an attitude with us over the phone, I told him to just hang up because there s no way someone is gonna talk crazy to us over the phone. They re highly unprofessional, don t eat here

I ordered from Pearl s and the food was inedible. I return the food to Pearl s ( barely touched) and explain that I would like a substitution for the food I bought or a refund. The owner and the owner s daughter say there is nothing wrong with the food but I must have bad tastebuds. I try to reason but the older lady started yelling at me. I then refuse to leave unless they give me a refund or substitute as the product was unsatisfactory. Needless to say, they called the police on me for disturbance. Great business practice. I left them the food but beware of this business.

Food was ok, but when you treat your customers like you dont care, when they are the ones keeping the lights on! Automatic no for me, they tried to charge me 4 more dollars, and so the amount i transferred wouldnt go through. She said it was my bank, but my bank had never done that before. The I dont care attitude is why I wont be back.

Man, I just read other reviews and this lady has an excuse for everything!! No attempt to satisfy the customers complaints. Who ever cooks is the star of this dump. If I could give it an overall no star I would. Just had the Pearl. Were they cited for health code violations?The lady and little girl that work the front are lacking in every way. Rude. Speak to you like your stupid when it is their mistake. Got my ticket mixed with someone else and then told me that I didnt know anything!! Dining room closed, have to order in this nasty little 4x4 space. Ive eaten from here for atleast 30 years. I will never go back. No wonder they have a notice stating if you want a health report to ask for one! Why would you put that up? Were they closed for health code violations? I just received a response and like all other reviews, they were wrong again. She said that the reason that I got bad service was because 2 orders had the same name. They didnt. I asked for an order for Debbie that was paid for on the phone and they tried to get me to pay for an order for Eddie. Again, her response was to try and make me be the one who caused the bad service. I too worked in a restaurant and it was only standard to have your health inspection posted somewhere not to put a sign out.

Ive ordered from Pearl three times now- both other times were actually decent for cheap delivery Chinese. This last time I was craving orange chicken, so I got that, and was extremely disappointed. The chicken was not only *mostly* breading, but it was also REALLY soggy, even though the delivery time was less than estimated. I ended up throwing my entire entree away (this wasnt even good enough to give to my dog) and just eating the veggies and plain fried rice for my meal. :/ I even paid an extra $0.50 for all white meat chicken, plus $2 for extra chicken. Will not be ordering from this place again; when I want Chinese again, Panda Express is higher quality than this.

So. First the food is not quality Chinese food. Everything I ordered has the same red-looking sauce EXCEPT the Shrimp Fried Rice. The Sesame Chicken looks like the General Taos Chicken except it has seeds. The Spring Rolls are the size of soy sauce packets very small and not v ery small. I suggest if your really hungry for Chinese check out Asian Jai. FYI THEY USE ALOT OF CARROTS AND CELERY. Real Chinese Lovers will understand and move forward to another restaurant for their money.

Nearly $40 wasted. I ordered a variety of entrees and not ONE was even decent. Rice was hard, lacked flavor, protien was skeptical (rubbery- all of it chicken, beef, pork and the tiny shrimp), veggies were HARD like they threw it in last minute. The lady is EXTREMELY RUDE! She will rush you off the phone, hope you dont have any questions, and then hangs up on you. At the pick up window they will not acknowledge you are there so you kind of just stand there until they are ready to attend to you, then act as if you are the biggest inconvenience

Drivers DO NOT have proper change on your orders! I WOULD NOT ORDER HERE! When you call in to complain about it, they say there s nothing that they can do about it!! I had one driver who tried to keep almost 6 or 7 dollars in change, he lied when I called in, and he said I told him it was a tip! These peoples need to return back to their homeland! What an awful place. First off, ordering is sketchy. Guy behind the window. Deposit the receipt into the mailbox. Lobby closed but you can see all sorts of questionable things through the slot. Second, the place is filthy. There are bugs everywhere. You can see them skittering. Finally, the food was really foul. The vegetables were rotten. The onions had mold on them that I thought was char... nope. Mold. How disguising.

This place adds gratuity automatically for a pickup order.. They seem to feel they are entitled to it regardless of the service level. Never again. Tipping is based on a service level. It isnt a given. There is no atmosphere. HOW do you go out of business? ONE customer at a time. There is NO misunderstanding. They added the tip when i went to the restaurant and placed the order at the pickup window. I knew what the total should be without a tip. The eggrolls was like a big chunk of pork with a lil vegetables. I thought they would use small piece like for the pork fried rice or something.I ordered crab ragoon and they tasted terrible, i didnt even know u could mess those up. Then i ordered vegetable lomein and never in my 31 years have i seen orange lomein noodles which also tasted nasty. I wasted my lil $20 and my gas cause the reviews were kinda decent. Im alergic to spicy food.. hot peppers, anything like that.. i asked the lady to go over a few items in a couple off entrées before I ordered. She NEVER said what i decided on was spicy. She was irrational and not truthful at all! Horrible wait time on delivery. Its literally... a mile to me. The lady taking my delivery order was rude and talked so fast! Google indicates that dine in is available but the dinning room is closed. 2023 update. It appears the dining room is closed for good. And the takeaway area looks a little shady. Food is medium quality but the portion size is huge for the price. Food tastes pretty good for the price point. Have had the tofu dish and the kung pao chicken both were very good though the Kung Pao chicken portion was so big that we ate it for three meals. Unless youre really big eater expect to have leftovers from a normal order.

Had chicken fried rice. Id never eaten here before. Food was ok, but Ill never eat there again. I asked for hot sauce for my meal. 50 cents for hot sauce. I dont understand why any resturant would charge extra for hot sauce. They gave me soy sauce, hot mustard, and duck sauce. Great pricing, good food, & free delivery! Ended up with 3 entrees & 2 appetizers for 3 people- we expected small portions and 1 box each. Wrong! Each entree was the entire to-go box with a separate container for rice. Honestly could have 2 good size adult meals from 1 entree alone *three* if you were a bit stingy & made extra rice. Grabbed fried dumplings that were perfection. One of the entrées was chicken lo mein noodles & those were the best out of them all. I will absolutely be ordering from here again & again! Was very disappointed tonight when I bought my mom and I food. The vegetables were not sauteed at all, they were very hard. I ordered combination fried rice with no peas or carrots. When I got my order it was like I had double the amount of peas and carrots. This has happened a couple of times. They dont read the special instructions. I ordered through uber eats and when i complained they gave me a whopping $5 in uber cash. I paid almost $12 for that item alone and couldnt even eat it.

This may be an update from a previous review. I have to say that last time we ordered food from Pearl, it was pretty bad. Kung Pao was absolutely watered down with a low portion of beef to toint pint of shuffling around with a fork, just find the meat. When you found some, you couldve bounced the beef back to you off the wall because it was so rubbery. How do you screw up fried rice? I understand day old rice is used (less hydration), but this was more like week old rice. Pretty horrible eating experience. Theres a place called Ryzen. WAY better. Worth a few more min deicing.

Based on previous reviews, this place may have been good for a time. But after trying several different occasions with the same outcome, unfortunately I cant recommend this restaurant. Beef & broccoli -- one of the simplest dishes ever -- consistently disappointed. The beef was overcooked and rubbery, the sauce is flavorless, and the broccoli has the texture of frozen broccoli warmed in the microwave. The silver foil wrapped chicken was indeed wrapped in foil. However, it was burned and stuck to the foil. It was also extremely damp and had kinda turned into a paste. I bravely tasted the paste and it was overly salty. Seems like maybe theyd cooked it ahead of time & kept it warm in a steamer? Idk. Inedible. These errors tell me that theyre either inexperienced or perhaps struggling to stay in business. Given the longevity of the restaurant, it doesnt seem to be lack of experience. If theyre trying to save money thats very understandable, but perhaps theyre trying to save money on the wrong things.

Called to place an order and the owner started cursing at me for placing an order. Calling me SOB and saying all kinds of things. Customers do not deserve that kind of treatment. I didn t do anything but order my food. People do not deserve that kind of treatment. She also threatened me telling me I got ur address bc I wanted my food delivered. I ordered through Uber eats. I ordered a classic chicken chow mein with extra shrimp that they got correct. I ordered egg drop soup they got that correct but the appetizer for the paper wrapped chicken they got incorrect they sent this instead. And they also gave me brown rice which I never ordered see photos below. I was hungry so I had to eat it because I didn t have a choice. I will give them a chance to get it right and then I will change my review when that happens thank you

We ve ordered from here a handful of times. Every time we ve had to wait 20+ minutes past the pick up time in the parking lot. On the visit today two orders were placed via walk up and fulfilled before we got our food. No flavor, no spice. Avoid this place if you re looking for a decent take out experience because it will only complicate things for you.

Food was overcooked and part of the order was wrong. I called to get the order corrected and lady was very rude told me I would have to drive up there to get the order fixed. We ordered delivery I told her since it was delivered i would appreciate them to deliver us our correct order and they refused. I will never order from this place again. Very disappointed.

I have noticed that some of the Chinese restaurants were no longer serving dishes with bok choy, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, bean sprouts and the flavor seemed watered down. Not at Pearl! All my favorite flavors at one place, I even asked for extra and received the most incredible portions. I have chicken mostly but my husband likes beef, finally a place that doesnt put loads of sugar in everything. Our meals were superb, they werent just broccoli, carrots, onions and green beans those are boring everyday vegetables you can get anywhere anytime. Pearl Chinese food is our new favorite! All others pale in comparison now!

What a pleasant surprise! I did not even know there was a Chinese food place for miles and its right here in my neighborhood. I have come to Pearl for several years and they had always had such amazing food. However, I moved out of the area within the last year and I visit when I m nearby. My last experience wasn t that great. I ordered a lunch special and they placed rice under all the meat and veggies to make it appear that it was full. Then this time around, I ordered dinner (beef with broccoli) and it was mostly broccoli. Hardly any pieces of meat for $10, it wasn t worth it. I was truly disappointed.

I called in to place 2 orders. The lady in the phone was rude and over talked me as I asked a few questions since I never ate at this location before. I get to the location and she didnt greet me, she was talking loud and seemed frustrated. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager. I asked how could I report her rude behavior, she threw her hand up and walked off. My boyfriend asked for a refund. I asked for one also and we decided to eat next door at Ronnies Catfish &more. Courtesy goes a long way when dealing with customers.

I normally don t leave reviews but in this case, it s necessary. I ordered dinner to be delivered to my home last night and we ordered the general tso chicken amongst other items. As I was preparing to fix my plate I found a long poetic hair in my general tso. When I called to let them know, she said it was nothing she could do because no has hair. Now that was a full on lie she told and then she didn t want to accommodate my issue. So with that, I ll never order from them again. I m so disappointed seeing that I use to love this place. I think we found our local Chinese spot! Fair prices, large portions and free delivery within 4 miles (much cheaper than paying all the overcharges on Uber or Door Dash). The man who delivered our food from the restaurant was fast and polite. Everything was well packaged to avoid the juices from leaking all over the place. Will order again!
