I ate here before rice was salty, thought I would give it another shot. The only thing I ate yesterday joes wings mild and fried rice. Only thing my daughter ate as well entire day. What a pleasant surprise! Wasn t expecting such a great meal! Wings were flavorful and crunchy. Rice was moist, and pretty darn good! Really large portions as you can see from the pics. The Mrs got the gumbo which was full of shrimp and had a great spice to it. Definitely going back for more!

I came here for the spicy lemon proper fried rice that I saw off of Tic Toc. The food came out at a reasonable time & the service was very nice. Theres a good portion of food. Now I dont think it was worth $19 for the food, but Im also aint mad at the price for the quality of food. I think the price should be $15, but ok. Ill be back to try other items when Im in the area.

We ordered the 8 piece and 10 piece wing combos and they were delicious sizable positions. Good prices!!! The service was great. Very attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere was not what we expected. What I mean is that, once you step inside it feels like a whole other vibe. It has a bit of that sports bar feel to it (which is a good thing) but, the outside could use some of vibe, as well. With that being said; we will be coming back!

Omg! This is my new spot in this side of 75! Huge portions - my husband and I shared the combination fried rice and there was still plenty left to take home!! I used to eat here 1-2 times a week and would just put up with the bad service. They are very nice but not attentive and the food rarely comes out at the same time (like you will get your fries before your wings). I specifically order an 8 piece with a side of small fries that comes out to 10$ every time. Today the server went ahead and made it the 8 wing combo that cost 12$ without saying anything. I assume it comes with a drink being 12$ and I always get a water which is why I use the menu hack to get my meal for 10$. I was told to be more specific next time and I m not sure that s possible lol. Needless to say I will not be back.

I ordered vegetable fried rice and buffalo wings, BBQ wings and fries, crab Rangoon and churros donut sticks. The vegetable rice was great, I will go back for that alone, good balance of veggies to rice and not oily. Chicken wings are good, but not more than that, they were more hard than crispy, if you know when I mean.. Rangoon was great, filled well and fried perfectly. Those churros, just awful, very hard and tastes like they were fried in grease from 1800 hundreds.. these should be removed from the menu or management needs to update formula.. overall, I would come back rice great, chicken is good

I am new to the area and have been trying so hard to find good Chinese food here and it s just been failure after failure. I saw this place and thought ok maybe I will have some luck. I go in and order shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein. They do have big portions but where was the shrimp???? My lo mein as soon as I opened the container it smelled burnt. I gave it a chance and just what I thought everything tasted burnt and the shrimp were way over cooked. Needless to say this was a huge waste of money. I guess there is just no good Chinese food anywhere in Texas.

If you are looking for a laid back place to grab some wings, fried rice, etc. just outside the Historic District of McKinney, I would like to recommend Wing Chow at 1500 W Unniversity Drive. It was our first time to eat here tonight and it was so good. We had the Spicy Lemon Pepper and Buffalo Hot wings as well as Chicken Fried Rice. All priced very fairly for the serving sizes, and quality. It was all really great and the service was terrific even though they were very busy with the Mavs game on all the TVs. The spicy sticky fried rice was good Korean wings were okay The churros were amazing. My least favorite was the combination lomein with shrimp beef and chicken. We couldn t drive past Wing Chow without saying the name whenever they first opened but finally stopped in for some wings tonight. I wish we would had only given them a chance sooner. $35 for 24 wings, fries and fried rice. Sheeesh! Not far from US-75 is this gem of a restaurant.They bring two of the best comfort foods. Freshly fried chicken wings and fried rice. The restaurant is clean and has a great sports bar atmosphere. The owner came to our table halfway through our meal to introduce himself and check on us. We really had a great meal, and the service was spectacular. Dont waste your money! This is some of the worst food Ive bought in years. I literally threw out 80 percent of it, it was so bad. The wings are very pale with soft, flaccid skin and lots of fat. They must have been pressure cooked (like InstaPot) but never fried. The meat was cooked but not the skin. I got mango habanero sauce and it was thin and tasteless. No heat, no mango and no flavor. I ate the meat but not the skin from two wings and threw out the other six. I also got their house special sandwich and it was horrible too. There was lots of meat (pork slices) and it had started as good quality meat. But it tasted strongly of being in the refrigerator a long time and then reheated. The special house sauce was so thin and flavorless, I could not tell it was there. It was not sweet or spicy or savory and it was colorless. The only thing it accomplished was making the bread soggy. The bread was slathered with white greasy stuff that I guess was mayo but I never got a taste of it. The sandwich was too soggy to pick up and, even with knife and fork, the bread too tough to cut. The carrot and daikon radish pieces were the best part of the sandwich. After eating a couple small pieces of meat and all the veggie garnish, I threw out the rest. The staff was very polite and friendly and helpful in deciding what to order. Service was a little slow but it was the lunch rush. There were some other interesting things on the menu -- falafel sandwich, Philly cheese steak sandwich, various fried rice -- but I will not be back. This food was awful and I threw out $16 worth of the $18 bill.

The food is amazing and I love the spices! If you are a thrill seeker definitely try the Trinidad Challenge, it is killer. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the owners are top notch. The staff and cooks are very accommodating, attentive, and remember any dietary restrictions you may have. As probably one of the pickiest eaters I will say I love this place. A new restaurant in McKinney that serves Philly cheesesteaks, fried rice, and wings. I got the philly cheesteak and side fried rice today after my workout, and I got to say this is a meal worth having to meet your protein and carb intake! The taste is good on the Philly. I had to add some jalapeño ranch, so I didn t have to eat it to dry. The fried rice is good as well similar to what I would get at a teppenyaki (not hibachi get it right). Overall, I was satisfied and will be back to try the wings challenge (from what I read it s 8 wings wet in the spiciest sauce and must be finished within 10 minutes and after not drink anything for 5 minutes) who wants to go try the new challenge together?

I used to frequent the China Sun restaurant in this location for years .. so when they closed and soon replaced by Wing Chow i figured what the heck, lets try it. And I wasnt disappointed; infact I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered sticky pork fried rice online and went to pick it up. Entering the establishment, I must say it looked pretty good and very clean! So that was already a bonus. I was greeted by the owner and we chatted abit as he got my order. He made sure I had everything , plasticware, sauces etc . The package felt heavy! As I got back and was ready to eat I had probably the largest portion of fried rice ever! Enough for two! It was delicious to boot. I must say Im a big fan and will go back to try all their other dishes soon.

Had the sticky pork fried rice and wife had the mild buffalo and honey garlic wings and egg lo mein. We shared egg rolls. The pork was soft and tasty - Im not used to that from an Asian place. Usually its always dried and tough - not here. The rice smelled and looked good, and it was delicious. Best Ive ever had. The egg rolls were crunchy on the outside, but juicy and flavorful on the inside. I didnt even know egg rolls could be made that way. Im so used to dried out on the inside. A+ egg rolls. The wife also said the wings were the best shes ever had. They were wet and juicy - not dried out like most places. Another review here mentioned they make the sauces themselves, and I agree that you can definitely tell. Great flavor, and they put enough on your wings (unlike most places). Wife said lo mein was good but a bit heavy on veggies over noodles. I tried it and loved it. Well definitely be back! PS. Theres one negative review on this place calling everything here mid that I wanted to address. That review is wrong. They DO offer split flavors on wings as long as you call and get at least 10 (the minimum order is 8 wings, I believe). Its just the online order that doesnt have that option. As for paying an extra $2 for all flats: the wings are $1 each. Most chains - with far inferior wings - charge more than that. So a small upcharge if you want all flats still prices them below chains with inferior wings. All in all, this place is a gem. And its not even expensive. A+ experience.

First time to eat here, but definitely wont be our last! Immediately greeted and seated when we arrived. An inviting atmosphere with several big screens with sports games to watch. Our waitress came and took our drink order, answered questions about the menu. They had lots of options to choose from. I had the steak/chicken/shrimp fried rice, and my wife had a boneless garlic chicken strips combo with a side of fried rice and ranch dipping sauce. Our meal came out quickly and was HUGH portions, so we had leftovers. An added plus was the manager came by to check on us, and invited us back. We ended up getting a third order to go, and the waitress brought it over quickly and took the time to review it and make sure it was correct. All and all we give them 5 stars, and highly recommend if you like this type of food with great service.

This is our new hidden gem in Mckinney! Looks like a humble place from the outside but boy is the food on point. Tried this place for our first time today. Lots to love here, but will add a few criticisms as well. Location - Nice spot on 380 tucked a couple lights off 75. Somewhat unassuming from the outside. I would recommend the owner perhaps pull the film off the windows so people can see inside a little more. Pretty dark looking from the outside. Atmosphere - A much needed modernization of the spot compared to the previous business. The ceiling tiles were removed, opening up the place a lot. Furniture was nice. Multiple TVs to watch a game, but nothing was on very loud like you might find at some sports bars (a plus in my book). Bathroom was clean and pleasant. Two criticisms: 1) booths felt a little scrunched and could maybe do better removing a booth. 2) Very minor nitpick, but several of the TVs were off or on standby. I could have asked to put something on, but thought it was weird having 8 or so TVs and several of them not playing anything. It wasn t very crowded when we dined, so could ve been just a function of the crowd. Food - The menu at first glance seems like an odd mix and maybe a little disjointed, but after trying many things, you can tell how everything fits together. A little bit for everyone especially if you have picky eaters. There is no kids menu, so I recommend you have something for the table or split an entree between kids. We tried a lot of different items and here are our thoughts: -They go really heavy on green onion. I made a mental note to ask for half the green onion in the future, but my wife loved not having to ask for more. -Had a great experience with the owner. He told us he makes the sauces in house and you can definitely tell. The dipping sauces were all phenomenal. The chili oil was very hot, but a massive winner for my wife. -Dumplings were alright. Nothing special, but did the job. -Crab Rangoons, you could definitely tell were made in house and were very full of stuffing. My wife liked the sauce that came with the Rangoons. -The lo mein and fried rice: WOW those were delicious and they do not skimp on the portions! Definitely a good value and would come back for those alone. Noodles were not overcooked, but were perfectly springy and chewy. -Sticky pork sandwich was a huge hit for my wife. The pork was very tender and delicious. I could go for a bowl of that pork mixed in with the fried rice. The pickled radish was a big hit for my wife and made the sandwich. -Wings; we tried Korean, Garlic Parm, Terriyaki, and Honey BBQ. Some of the wings were a good size, but some were on the smaller size. Garlic Parm was my favorite. They were flavorful, but not greasy like many other places take on GP. Terriyaki and honey bbq were both pretty good, but not necessarily a have to reorder. The Korean wings were ok, but likely overshadowed by the Sticky Pork sandwich according to my wife. Service: Our waitress was great and did a good job explaining portion sizes, answering questions, and getting refills. The owner came by to talk to us multiple times and would interact with the other customers as well. You can tell he cares a lot for his business and making sure customers are happy. Prices: We got a lot of food for ~$80 (plus additional tip). We have plenty of leftovers to feed our family tomorrow as well. If you got a bunch of smaller wings I could see you feeling a little underwhelmed, but the rice and lo mein more than made up for it. Overall: Really cool place with some delicious food. Looking forward to coming back and bringing friends and family with us. They serve alcohol and ice cream so could see myself coming to watch a game while keeping my kids happy. A very welcome addition to the east half of McKinney.

I ve had better wings but here they were still good. My only complaint was the inconsistency in wing size proportions and that they weren t full wings rancher than just flats and drums. They had a lot of wing flavors to choose from. All the flavors I had are pictured: honey garlic, Korean, Cajun and sticky Asian. The fried rice was 10/10 surprisingly pretty tasty. Lo mien was good too. I want to give them some more time to craft it just right but will definitely be coming back for a follow up!
