Love this place. We just recently found it. They have a lot of rolls! More geared toward the American palette. Portions are huge and very affordable. Husband and I can eat here for half the price of other sushi restaurants and get more food. Like how they have Korean food as well it gives the non sushi eaters more of a choice than just teriyaki. Totally recommend the Crazy Yellowtail and Crazy Tuna rolls. I personally don t like the imitation crab meat, so don t get any rolls with that in it. My husband usually gets Chirashi and it was packed with meat.

Really like this place! We usually go to Koji Downtown McKinney, but wanted to give this place a try, and I m so glad we did!! Get the prosper roll- the best out of the 3 rolls we had. The Korean meal meat had great flavor, but not much meat.

Beyond impressed with this restaurant. This was our first visit, and we were blown away by the friendly service and delicious food. We shared the shishito peppers, takoyaki, bulgogi beef, and spicy chicken hot plate. All of it Id highly recommend. We will definitely be back. :)

Great and prompt service! Outstanding and flavorful food! I had a Yummy sushi roll and a Mexican roll. I d never had anything like either of the rolls and they were both delicious. We also had the house salad and thought dressing was wonderful. It was a sesame base instead of ginger but absolutely delicious My husband had chicken teriyaki and thought it was the best he d ever had. Pricing is fair and I will definitely return soon.

We have been customers since their first day and they continue to be 5 stars. The owners are so sweet, nice and always greet us with a smile. Terrible experience first time visit today. May be the waitress and owner just don t like to serve Asian. We were treated as non-exist the whole time while we are the only Asian in the restaurant We arrived and waited 8 mins at the front. Waitress passed by but ignored us. No one greet us or direct us to sit. We wanted to leave but then one waitress pointed us to a table. After we sat down, we saw a waitress kept checking on the tables next to us but never even ask what drink do we want. We took our own menu at the front. Only water waited for another 10 mins. Food was really so so, nothing special. No one even check on us while they kept checking on other tables. No one refill water. 2 different waitress and a man brought out different dishes we ordered but in a not so care attitude. Really dismissive and cold. Not sure why. It s just their true nature I guess. Not a fan of the strange disco kind of lighting in a restaurant. The whole experience is just crazy! Will never go back

We hosted 2 back to back birthday parties here and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who s looking for the perfect venue to celebrate their special occasions at. We have been going to Koshi on date nights and as a family for over a year. It is one of our family s favorite places to eat. Miso Soup is always a great starter, our favorite rolls are Salmon In and Out Roll (a little spicy), Poke 2, McKinney Roll. Our kids love the California Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. First time trying Koshi in McKinney off Stonebridge drive. Great ambiance, and everyone was super friendly and knowledgable. My overall impression of the food was really good. The fish was fresh and tasty. Cuts of fish like toro were super buttery and the uni was sweet. I ll even go as far to say that the simple hamachi scallion roll was probably one of the better ones I have tasted in the area. My criticisms are small relative to the flavor and preparation of the sushi. I wasn t expecting wasabi under the uni gunkanmaki, however it was a small amount and did not overpower the Uni. Also, some of the cuts were not even, but that s me nitpicking. The food was delicious, prices were fair in comparison to close by sushi options, and we will definitely be back!

This is a place where you can feel the Japanese feel in America. However, I wanted to eat raw rice bowl, but they came with a few pieces of salmon served in a stone pot. It was stone pot bibimbap. Loved this place , the only thing that the older staff like to stare for a fact i know they mean no harm but its a bit uncomfortable when trying to eat. Cant complain they were very, very attentive during our visit it was before 6 so it wasnt too busy. As people started, arriving and getting busier, the stares kind of stopped . The food was delicious. i must say that it was better than the previous restaurant i visited this food felt more homey. What a neat spot! This place was recommended to us by one our friends, and man am I glad. We caught them on a busy Friday night but everything went swimmingly from beginning to end. While it was obviously a tremendous group effort across the dining room, the lady who seemed to be our main server did a terrific job. Cassie was obviously both busy and experienced at serving because while she was constantly in motion, she still managed to keep up with all of our asks, keep our drinks full, and make us feel very welcome. To ice the cake, on our way out no fewer than 5, and perhaps more, of the staff enthusiastically bid us good evening. Oh, and the food was spot on too! I think the only thing the bulgogi was marinated in was soy sauce. Which is gross. My mistake for ordering Korean food at a sushi restaurant maybe? Begs the question why was it on the menu at all? It s more like 3.5. Foods decent but getting a table can be chaotic. They don t seem to really have a system to track guests. We called ahead for 5. When we got there we were told it would be a half hour wait still. There s no real place to wait in the restaurant so they said they d call us when a table was ready. It was like105d outside so we went to near by fuzzy s for queso since they said they d call. They didn t. And when we walked back to the restaurant. It was packed again and they d clearly just sat 2 separate parties of 2 on a 4 and 2 top right next to each other. These people didn t even have drinks at their table. Needless to say we were annoyed and the kids were grumpy at this point. It took about another 10mins to be seated and get a table. Once we sat the service was a little better, but the waitress took everyone s order but my sister-in-laws and walked away. We had to hail down another waitress to place her entree order. They serve both Japanese and Korean food and we d gone there craving Korean food. The Korean Bibimbop was a little flavourless, the Bulgogi was ok, and the Galbi while good was over priced. We d got the Avocado Bomb app and that was good. The kids got Chicken fried rice. Most people at the restaurant seemed to get sushi, so getting Korean might have been our mistake, but it s what we were in the mood for. It s also a byo, which we didn t realize, so that s a plus. It s in our neighborhood so we ll try it again and hope for better seating situation, and get sushi.

Nice little place with great dishes. Staff was attentive and friendly, we ended up waiting a good while for some of our party to arrive but the waitress checked up on us often and got our food to us in a timely manner.

I have never been to a Korean restaurant that does not bring you side dishes. Whattt? I ordered bi bim bap and shrimp tempura. Non was good. No taste and very little ingredient. Service was good and the 2 star is for that otherwise food is 0 star. Definitely won t go back.

Walked in and sat down after there was no hostess seating anyone. Waited for ten minutes at our table for someone to acknowledge us. Nobody said a word to us (there was only one other table eating), so we left. If you can t handle customers you shouldn t be in business.

Great friendly place. The shrimp fried rice was amazing. The rock shrimp was also very good. Would highly recommend both. The bento lunch box was a slight disappointment. The salmon portion was miniscule. Almost comically small. The California rolls had mayo... Which isnt usual for California rolls. Other than that, I enjoyed the food and service. The food was packaged nicely and ready for pick on time.

The best sushi I ve had in a very long time! We started with the tuna tower and that is a MUST! One of the first times I ve seen fresh wasabi in Texas which is sooo much better with sashimi. The rolls were huge and really great too! This place is a hidden gem

We had been told this was a great place for sushi and we were refered correctly. This place had a long list of rolls offered in hand rolls or maki. The menu had a great selection of appetizers, tempura shrimp and vegetable options as well as some Korean dishes as well. We ordered a combination plater of chef selected sashimi, nigiri and rolled sushi. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning with another couple for a date night.

I visit a couple of times a month since theyve opened, and theyve never disappointed me. My favorite dishes are the sushi menus, especially the Uni sushi when uni is available, the McKinney roll and their tempura upon! Service is always kind and nice. Definitely recommended!

Koshi is pretty good. Is it high end sushi? No. It is however quite good sushi in a relaxed environment without high-end pomp. The korean dumpling soup is also just about as good as youre likely to get anywhere. Take my advice, get the crunchy zucchini (the peppers are amazing.) This place is pretty consistent with all of their dishes, so its always good. Its our go to sushi spot for now.

Visiting from out of town. Took the family here on my sons reccomdation . Everything ordered was delicious. Wasabi could have been hotter. Service was super . Very attentive. Had the fresh fish from Japan. Would consider this place again next time Im in town . But then again this is Texas and every trip down here I see new restaurants. Youll is lucky. Aloha

So glad to have a good Korean/Japanese place nearby! I had the bibimbap and my group tried the edamame, 3 sushi rolls, and the yakisoba combo. The bibimbap comes in a hot stone bowl and is very tasty. Our server was nice and the restaurant itself has a pleasant, modern yet laid back atmosphere. The food prices are a little high for lunch, but this place is definitely worth it.

This is the best sushi we have had state side. We come here at least once every week. Do yourself a favor and order the avocado bomb, the vegetable tempura, and the crunch zucchini at some point If youre there when they have blue fin, DEFINITELY get the sashimi version of that. We also enjoy the unagi when they have it. It looks so crazy but it tastes wonderful. From their cooked menu options we also really like the bi-bim-bab and yaki-soba options. Our friend put it well the other day when he said, I keep thinking I found my favorite item on the menu and then I order something new and think the same thing. Everything weve eaten here so far has been delicious, and weve eaten MANY things here. This is a small (almost izakaya feel) venue, so there have been times where weve waited a while for seating and food. Weve opted to order takeout ahead of time (over the phone) on Fridays a few times instead of eating at the restaurant because this place is SOOOOOO good it can get packed Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday-Thursday evenings we usually dine in at the restaurant, though, because there is often a seat available within a short period of time and we love the environment in the restaurant. Delicious food, lovely décor, and delightful people. We love this place and highly recommend eating here.

First takeaway from Koshi tonight.Ordered variety. Family lived in Seoul for many years and we have high expectations for Korean food. Koshi is beyond legit. Flavors on point and each dish has unique flavors that aren t typically found stateside. Pricing appropriate. To the chef:( in phonetic English alphabet...Comsomneada, Moshaesaeoh!!!!!!

Hands down best place in the area. Ive started eating here 2-3times a week. Social distancing has been everytime ive beem in there. The cooks and servers are amazing and always cleaning. They keep me coming back for more
