Great place to workout, near my house. Would love to go in the morning but the old gentleman in the front desk is really rude and looks down on you for asking questions everyone else is super chill, sucks to have a great place with sour people.

Some Staff members are not very much trained in the processes and basics of how hold, cancellations etc work and caused me extra payments. 3 months later after everything paid they sent some payment to !!! debt collection !!!! What a mess they have created. Paying the mess off and moving on to another gym.

I could not ask for a better gym! The equipment is great, the people are good and there is a guy at front I think his name might be Ivy who is NEVER late always opens the gym early with a smile on his face. He makes me feel at home when I walk in every morning. I have been to many gyms where they open late or seem unhappy to be there well not this guy, Golds is truly lucky just as I to have him opening every morning. If you are wondering if you should open a membership well I have two words DO IT!

This facility is a complete scam. We were billed monthly and yearly even after canceling the membership. My son and his friend visited the Little Elm, TX facility the last week of June and opted to pay a monthly fee even though they wanted to go there for 4-5 days until the end of the month. Despite canceling on June 30th, they continued to charge us in July and then hit us with double charges in August - once for the yearly fee on August 15th and again for the monthly fee on August 30th. Beware of this facility!

my friend and i wanted to try this gym out since we saw they had a free day pass online. when we arrived and asked to sign up for it but without even checking the girl with the long black hair at the front desk very rudely told us that they did not do free day passes. she told us that we needed to pay $16 to do a day pass and later we showed her the email informing us that there was a free day pass that we could sign up for. she was still very rude about it and needed to have us show her proof that we lived in the area. i have been wanting to go to this gym for a while now and was considering applying for a membership too but after that experience ill pass.

Wow I drove 9 miles to try out the gym and the girl at front desk was completely unfriendly telling me I lived too far for a free guest pass and wanted to charge me $16 for a day pass. It got to the point where I had to open the gps and show her my location just to calculate the 10 mile range which it was not stated on the gold s gym website. Unfriendly, unprofessional, not a place where I d like to have a membership. If anyone is trying to tryout the gym well good luck!

They have the wost management ever. They are rude, no help, they make everything difficult. Someone took my car keys right before close, they sent me through hoops to have the cameras looked at to see who possibly picked them up. Told me i had to have the police come up there etc., so I did that the next morning, I explained what happened to the employee and at the front desk. He handed me my keys and stated, he believed me and they could look to see if it was by mistake. (Thats all I asked for). The manager tried to make me look like I was lying and said I should just be glad that I got my keys back and sorry he was not telling me what I wanted to hear. And my car would have had to be damaged or stole. He also stated that if someone got shot in front of their store they couldnt do anything. Felt so uncomfortable going their after.

Get the Matrix bikes fixed for Christ s sakes! The handles and seats do not lock in place and therefore slip like a fat girl on skates. Furthermore they are a safety hazard!!!! Also what the hell with all the 35 lb barbell weights? 45 s are gym standard and are hard to find.

Reply to Golds/ Mike Honestly its all based off of a singular interaction with a heavy set guy who claimed to be the GM getting upset over a shirt I wore with a cussword on it. Never has it been an issue in any other gym, this is supposed to be a place to go do work, be serious, get your frustrations out and this guy on a power trip interrupted my workout over a shirt when it wasnt bothering anyone. He claimed that it was policy, its not, I checked the board he referenced. He claimed is the same reason he doesnt allow shirtless stuff yet I see people constantly shirtless in the group x room. Sadly nothing you can fix. Also doesnt help that everytime I see him in there hes being pervy around any woman near him. Gym GM on a power trip is a joke. No respect for the guy at all.

Canceled my membership 12 days before it expires because I was leaving the state and they made me pay for the next months membership as well, pretty stupid since I was paying month to month and I wouldn t even be able to use the next months membership. They also didn t tell me when I signed up that they would charge me an extra month which they should be obligated to. Pretty much ruined my gym experience because of this scam! The thing is I wouldn t have a problem if I had a gym in my state, I m from Utah so if there was one there I wouldn t be complaining but there s no gold gym there. It s just ridiculous that you guys are charging me an extra 100$ for something I can t use. I shouldn t have to pay under my circumstances.

Recently started working in the area and wanted to try out the gym. Downloaded a free guest pass online and was told I had to pay $15 because my home address is not in the 15 mile radius for the free pass. Doesnt say anything about a mile radius when I downloaded the pass. The manager was likely more concerned about his closing percentage instead of thinking it was possible i wanted to join a gym where i work and try it out.

Huge gym, clean, friendly staff at the front desk. Great equipment! Only downside is a lot of teenagers at times. A lot of folks are also filming and in the way which sucks when you just want to enjoy your workout and have some privacy. Can also be intimidating for beginning gym goers who are trying to get in the rhythm of things. Update: I ve been trying to cancel my membership for my partner and I for over a month. No response. And the gym just tried to charge me again. Shouldn t be that hard to cancel membership.

Good equipment. Maintained well. But the clientele has the worst gym etiquette I have ever seen in any gym. Too many kids. Too much social hour. Perfect example... 4 benches and no one has done a set in over 5 minutes. But there has been an awful lot of talking! Been like this since the gym opened. Working out slow is ok, but it should be within reason... and respectful of others. If Management wanted social hour, they should have opened a bar instead of a gym. Unfortunately, there just arent many decent options for working out in this area.

After using this gym for a couple weeks now, I couldnt be happier and wished I had joined sooner! My previous experience with Golds Gym in San Antonio (Army) was that it was mainly free weights and because of injuries I now have, wasnt ideal for me. This Golds has TONS of machines all in excellent condition and multiples for a body part so you can always find one open. The gym is very clean and organized well. Great Atmosphere, great gym!

Great equipment, and very clean. However, this gym would be perfect if it had a Smith Machine and a Power Tower machine. It could replace some duplicates in there. Also, it is very crowded so it can be hard to get a good workout in, as well as many high schoolers with their tripods taking up machines. But honestly, if this gym had a Smith and Tower Power machine it would be a good 5 stars.

This gym is *wonderful* with ONE exception. The music is often so loud that you have to turn your own headphones up to max volume to drown it out and even then I can still hear it-even with very good quality headphones. It gets super annoying after a while. But the staff are amazing, it s clean and equipment is kept functional. Best gym in the area for sure.

After researching the gyms in our area we picked Golds to get our son a membership when he turned 16. We knew there were other gyms in the area that were cheaper, but the reviews for the other gyms showed a trend of horror stories of uncancelled memberships and struggles to get refunds. We went on his 16th birthday to check out the gym. It was clean and from what we could tell there were no machines out of service. And the people there were there working out - minding their business. We decided to sign up the same day. We had a bit of an issue with the sign-up and after paying the pro-rated monthly fee we had to start over and create a whole new account and re-pay the monthly fee. The attendant that was assisting us was extremely kind and apologetic for the issue and the manager said he would take care of the account refund immediately. I took down the managers name because I assumed I would have to call in a few days to follow up and remind them. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the refund showed up in a 2 days just like he said it would. Its only been a few weeks, but our son loves going to the gym and we are so happy we chose Golds!

Great staff. They seem to have given up on stocking clamps. Buy and bring your own. Also, they could use some more 45 s in the bench area. Don t go between the hours of 2-4. The broccoli haired dude-bros from high school are sitting around for 12 minutes between sets of baby weight and the thirsty high school girls are in competition to see how little they can wear before getting kicked out. Best to visit during the extremes of the day.

This Golds Gym is one of the best golds gym ever. Best bang for the buck Has much better equipment than any other gyms I been too Staff is super friendly and always willing to motivate you. Kenneth and Tyler ate favorite. Kenneth helped me with squats and stretching and after week my pain was gone and I was able to do 405 on squats for 3x3 and Tyler always encouraged me when see me tired on phone being distracted and not working out. My body is in good shape I have been hitting pr after pr The only nit pick about I have this gym is they have single of each machine If 1 machine is taken gonna be a while before other is free Leg press have an area I. Which they can add more pandelum or hack squats More bench press are great addition 1 more fly over machine for chest and shoulder Hexagon bar

I switched over to golds gym not too long ago and the staff here is amazing. Never fail to see smiles when walking in, you re always greeted! I usually go around 4-5pm and everytime I go I have the pleasure of being greeted by Cody! He never fails to motivate even on days when I m literally dragging myself to the gym, whether he is at the front desk or even just working out on his days off he never fails to represent golds in a great way. That goes for majority of the staff as well! The equipment is great so many available squat racks and free weights. It s also really nice and aesthetically pleasing. Def recommend golds

I have been going for about six months now, and all I can say is the entire facility, staff, cleanliness, and equipment is 5 out of 5. First, I am welcomed daily by staff and told to have a good lift, and after, I am told to have a good day. Secondly, the facility is well-cleaned and organized by staff; all I do is look over my shoulder and see a staff member take the time to organize weights and help other members. Lastly, Kenneth has been, by far one of my favorite trainers. He is always in a good mood with a smile and is always willing to help. If anyone ever needs a training session, I highly recommend him.

Tried to bring two friends from denton to try the gym out they had never been inside a golds before and wanted to get a workout there they filled out the free day pass online Thomas at the front made both of them pay because they live to far to get a membership even though my girlfriend lives in the same area . Not happy with having to pay 35$ to get both of them in even though they had filled out a free day pass online ..? Very irritating.

The gym and great but the people in it are Awesome!! As a person new to fitness it be the trainers, staff or even other gym people everyone here is awesome! The gym is always spotless, theres enough equipment that even at 5pm when this place blows up you still have space to do your workout and if someone is using a machine you want to use, just a simple hey can i jump in with you will always work! That could be just proper Gym Ethics but i have no complaints. One thing you will never miss is the Have a great workout when you come in and a have a nice day When you are leaving!!! As for training wise Thomas has been great! In the couple of months ive been coming to the gym if i have any questions or doubts Thomas is always willing to help. So far ive lost 20+lb and on my way for more!!

The daily gym I enjoy it aside from it being stuffed with the high school tren kids. Also, dont get me started on the number of tripods and influencers that are there. Your sweet time at ANY time is 9-12 and after 7 pm. Aside from all of that its a decent gym with a fantastic staff.

Out of town for a few days and needed a gym to workout at. After one gym failed me for my morning workout, I headed over to google maps for the assist and the bright Gold sign appeared! At 6 something i drove the 5 minutes and was greated with nice service, beautiful facilities and great machines. This gym was enough to convince me to move out here monthly rates were so good .. I love this place. I enjoyed working out here when 24hr fitness was there but its so much better now that Golds has taken over with a fresh new look and better equipment. I love this gym in every aspect except for one. They allow people to set up cameras to shoot videos for their TikTok/ You Tube account which is quite annoying since there are a few of us who prefer not to be filmed in any way, shape or form for more serious reasons. I really like the gym. I do wish they had more class options available - there s only 3 classes in the entire week that are not between 9am-5pm. I believe that they were working on bringing more instructors and classes in, so I hope they make it a priority to add classes that people who work in a traditional office job from 9-5 can come to as well. I love the BodyPump classes when I want to change up my routine and wish that they had more of them that I can get to, instead of just one Saturday class. The manager has always been very helpful when I have needed to speak to him or had questions.

Signed up of a dollar when they said theyd be open in January. They didnt open for MONTHS after that. Tried to cancel my membership, said I had to wait and do it in person. Did that and they continue to charge me and will not refund. Now I will report the business to little elm chamber of commerce and the BBB. The gym is employed by liars and thieves. Want this review erased, refund my money. Until then enjoy all the Kettering going to corporate and the local CC coming to see what youre not honoring transactions.

It s a good gym great equipment. Unfortunately they don t allow chalk to be used due to it ruining the floor. Which I ve been to many different gyms and I even worked at one for 2 years. I ve never heard this before. Being a powerlifter we need to use chalk for heavy deadlifts.

Outstanding Gym! I went from Lifetime Fitness to this gym and Im not looking back. The staff is awesome, in my opinion, what makes this gym better than otherbig name gyms; is that it is made for weight lifters, you will not see blocked sections of the gym reserved for private classes , the whole weight lifting and cardio floors/areas are available for me to use! Thats the reason I left lifetime. Golds doesnt have towels available though, so bring your own.
