What we do. Family recipes. Delicatessen love. We make homemade Polish & German recipes from our grandparents' days of hard, honest work and scratch made goodness. All of our meats are handcrafted in house, we serve them in sandwiches. Pierogi are made and served daily in traditional flavors and some non traditional ones as well. Our market has unique and hard to find items from across Europe.

The kopytka with kielbasa makes my day every time I get it. When I make paprikaschnitzel, if I dont feel up to make the schnitzel myself, I get it here. The seasonal dishes are good. Its the only place near me that sells nokedli. The saurkraut and pickled beets and mustard are a huge hit at home. And last but not least, the pierogi mystery bag is a great invention :)

Frozen dumplings are more like empanadas than dumplings. Potatoes in dumplings are very tasteless. Not many Polish things - if they are expensive, and not from such companies. Its really bad, I dont recommend it unless you really need something for Polish dishes for the holidays.

After the Lady described to us what they were, we each ordered a Kielbasa (he got #3, I went with #1), we each got a gift from the Chef (a fruit pierogi), and it was DELICIOUS!!! I can t wait to go back!! Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp Right in front of the store. (I notice, b/c I previously needed one.)

This is my 2nd time eating Ziggys and it was just as good as the first!!! Never tried Polish food before this so didnt know what to expect but let me tell you, it was delicious!!! The flavors are not overpowering they are just right. The potato pancakes and pierogi s are crispy and golden. They are a must get!! The sausages have that good casing that snaps when you break it. The frozen food from there taste just as good as the made to order food I get. I without a doubt recommend trying Ziggys.

Not good. I was so excited when I saw a true polish restaurant but the food is terrible. The Kielbasa was overcooked and flavorless and the pierogis were burned and also had no flavor. Good pierogis should have sauce and onions not dry and burned. Even the sauerkraut was bad. So sad

Ziggys is the definition of an excellent local business. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the free meal program they have set up for those who need something to eat. That alone would warrant the 5 star review, but I was also impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the jaw-dropping variety of tasty sausages and kielbasas! The store also features all manner of baked goods and Polish groceries (including Bavarian pretzels and perogies which I will certainly be back to acquire). Even though it is small, I could spend an hour looking at all the delicious items in there!

Full time traveler here (@whatrvdoing). We drove almost an hour to visit Ziggys for two reasons: thats my middle name, and they have a 4.9 review rating. So, naturally, we bought way too much. My fav was the hot off the press Squealer. Everything inside just complimented the next flavor that runs across ya tongue. So delicious. Oh and theyre good people here too. They have a cork board style thing where you can buy a lunch for someone who is in need. And if you are in need, just grab receipt and cash it in for some food. Talk about an epic pay-it-forward type system. Pierogies - bomb; Schnitzel - amazing; pork jerky - my kid loved it.

I brought my native Polish mother to Ziggy s. My mother has not enjoyed Polish Kielbasa in the United States until she tried Andy s homemade Kielbasa. We visited Ziggy s on a Saturday afternoon. Despite Ziggy s being busy, Andy provided us excellent customer service. Andy provided samples of their homemade Kielbasa to my family and I as we were checking out. The moment my mother had the sample of Kielbasa, she was delightfully surprised. It was so delicious! She said she hasn t had Kielbasa like that since she lived in Poland. She dreamt about Ziggy s delicious Kielbasa and ate the rest the following day! Thank you to Ziggy s team for their wonderful hospitality and incredible Polish foods.

It has taken us a little while to write this review, we were very uncomfortable with our experience. We were excited to come here as my boyfriend is Polish. The owner was very odd as he was speaking polish to another customer, but would not respond in polish when my partner talked to him like he was annoyed. He also was very impatient when we said we were first timers and we felt like we were a bother. The food took ~25 min to be prepared and we awkwardly waited and the atmosphere was just bad. The whole experience was so off and rude that we didn t really care about the food anymore (food was overpriced and nothing to write home about :/). It s been a couple months and have not missed this place.

Ziggy s Simply the best! I was in Leander for some events and had Ziggy s marked as there are not many Polish places in Austin. I was so so so happy to stop in here and be treated with such caring service. As the workers say everything here is very good and they are not wrong. I got a Squealer Kielbasa , Saurkraut & mushroom pierogi & strawberry pierogi. The squealer was absolutely incredible. Not greasy, so much flavor and unique as well. This was just fantastic and not gonna lie - flooring for how good it was. Highest quality ingredients and made so perfectly. I am so so happy I had this. The pierogi were also amazing. The mushroom sauerkraut was just like home - packed and the dough was amazing being fried. The strawberry was a gift from the owner. I never had a fruit pierogi before and was so so happy to try this. Was a fantastic treat to end the meal - like an OG toaster strudel to put it simply. Ziggy s was beyond my expectations and I very much will be back here. Just incredible products.

Its POLISH food mainly and because POLISH and German food are so similiar I knew I wanted to try this place. Asked 2 of my friends to come and try it with me and they said yes and away we went. This food was absolutely SO GOOD!!!! Im so glad I went and tried this place and one of the guys was so freeking informative and welcoming. We were given a sample of their origianl Kielbasa and that immediatly made our decision of what to order. We tried everything! The original Kielbasa, beets, saurkraut, German potato salad, potato pancakes, polish slaw (omg was so good), pierogies, and then even tried the brand peace tea in peach flavor. We will be back often. Asked their hours and everything. It was so, so good yall.

Their Polish-style Canadian Bacon is better than the Canadian style sold in USA, so its the best. Ziggys is also best for Pork Loin cold cuts, their homemade mushrooms & sauerkraut Pierogis, & many central European-made delicacies to take home. Many sausage varieties made in-house & theyre all the best in TX, including the weiss-wurst & knackwurst made now for Octoberfest. Try their crushed beet spread on sandwiches instead of mustard. They also make great sandwiches. Parking: Plenty of spaces

I come from paternal Polish and Ukraine heritage. Ziggys is legit. I grew up in Northeast Ohio, where Polish sausage and meat shops are littered throughout, and they are all spectacular. Ziggys is probably the only place in Texas where you ll find authentic Polish food. The fresh Polish garlic sausage is second to none. The stuffed cabbage is too. It is a great place to bring back a taste of home. We are very fortunate to have them in central Texas. Customer service is top notch.

Lived in Leander my whole life and had never heard about this place, nor had ever tried kielbasa before. I stopped in today after finding it on Google, and came across the most friendly and sweet workers Ive ever met. I ordered the Kielbasa Hero and got some Pierogi also, and the butcher threw in an extra one and explained all the meats. I got two drinks, a Polish soda and something called Bread Kvass, neither of which was something Id crave but definitely fun to try, especially near me. Made out of there with an AMAZINGLY delish sandwich, that kielbasa meat was better than any sausage Ive ever had in my life, I got three pierogis, two drinks, for only $22. Absolutely definitely will come back.

Awesome food! Awesome service! The food is made from scratch and a lot of the pickled / fermented foods are made on-site. The sausages are made in-house and are free of fillers! Amazing Eastern European market. Well worth the visit! We ll be back for sure!

Always good to support a local business, and it helps when the business does such good work. Great selection of meats and import goodies. I purchased an order of perogies and youd be hard pressed to find better ones.

I wish I could give this place more stars! The food was SO delicious, and you can really tell that the owner, Andy, is incredibly passionate about his craft and his culture. When I told him it was my first time there, he explained to me the origins of multiple dishes, elaborating on the Polish history behind them. He also gave me a free donut because it was my first time :) This place is truly a gem; I will definitely be coming back!

Wow, this was my 2nd visit and I am impressed that the service was as outstanding as the first visit. I really enjoyed the kielbasa I had so I returned for more and I also purchased kabanosky which is Polish for skinny sausage. Yum

The food is incredible and the workers are extremely friendly and informative. Highly highly recommend going here they are truly the best at what they do. Be advised the shop is a bit small especially if they get really busy it can feel cramped but honestly you more than likely wont care after trying some of their food.

Vegetarian options: Big selection of vegetarian dumplings called pierogis stuffed with cabbbage, mushrooms, strawberries, apples and farmer cheese. Kid-friendliness: A lot of goodies for kids to choose from. Wheelchair accessibility: One level floor.

Have been there few times to shop but I have to say the interaction with the owner is what I like the least. He makes me feel uneasy, I prefer not to ask any question as I know each one of them will hit very defensive response. As a born and bred Pole, I know what authentic food is and the ingredients it should be used... telling me about following Grandmas recipe doesnt do much really. I know the stuff. What I can see from the others reviews, when challenged on authentic food, the story changes to Polish with American flair so lets be honest from the beginning. Its nothing wrong with American flair but lets sell it what it is. Jalapeno is not the spice Poles add to sausages, unheard of really... what happened to good old juniper, pepper and garlic? Lets just call it what it is... it may be tasty, though not Polish. And the owner...I drag to see him in the store... I am more happy with the girls serving. I will come back though.

Its a small polish grocery and deli. They make their own pierogies and there is not many places in Austin you can get those fresh. The owner is very friendly and always willing to chit chat

The food is amazing here! I had the pierogi plate with potato, bacon, and cheddar pierogis topped with chopped kielbasa. The pierogis were crispy and light, perfectly cooked. My daughter really enjoyed the squealer sandwich. It was huge and featured savory grilled kielbasa on a crusty white roll with a potato pancake and applesauce, grilled onions and peppers, all folded inside. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The little store was really fun, featuring a wide variety of dry and canned goods from Poland along with delicious products made in the restaurant to take home and cook.

Be still my heart. There are just not enough places for pierogi and potato pancakes in the Austin-metro! Ziggys is the best Ive had outside of Kraków. Everything is made in house, the owner is wonderful and the flavor profiles in the pierogi are just stellar. They have both savory and dessert flavors, too! We cant wait to go back again and again.

Ziggys was my introduction to Polish food a couple days ago. I was amazed at the variety and quality of their offerings. I had the Squeeler sandwich, an assortment of perogies, fresh and dried sausages and a few items from their import market. All of it was very Excellent! The knowledge, friendliness and cultural pride of the owner cant be overstated. Ziggys is everything you want to see in a passionately owned small restaurant cranked up to 11. Go check them out and broaden your culinary horizons!

Potatoe pancakes are absolutely amazing. The best Ive had outside homemade. Really interesting spiced applesauce that pairs well with them too. Had the snitzel sandwhich and also a hit. Will definitely be coming back to try the kielbasa! Wheelchair accessibility: Curbs are short and tables so it would be a little bit of a tight squeeze

Stopped by this place yesterday for the first time after reading great things about it online and so glad I did. The owner was so welcoming and kind. He explained the menu to us and even let us sample a few of their products. We ordered a few different pierogis, the classic kielbasa roll and the potato pancakes. Everything was so delicious. So happy to have finally tried this place and will definitely be back.
