I have been seeing Dr. Wheeler for a few years now and am so glad I found her office. Everyone in her office from the front desk staff to the nurses to the nurse practitioner are incredibly helpful, kind, and make me feel seen and heard. I appreciate that Dr. Wheeler and Victoria both take their time with their visits and I dont feel rushed or pushed or like a bother.

How disappointing! I am in need of a primary doctor so I made an appointment with Dr. Wheeler. When I entered there was 1 individual in the waiting room wearing a mask. I didn t really think about him wearing a mask 3 almost 4 yrs after the flu , since I do see some people still wearing them. When the receptionist came to the window, he was wearing a mask and tried to give me one. I said, Are you being serious right now? I didn t wear a mask during the scamdemic I m definitely not wearing one with all the information that has come out, these things lied to you about all of it, and you fell for it. The receptionist then tried to hand me paperwork? I asked if I was going to be hassled about a mask every time I come in, he shrugged his shoulders. I pushed the papers back and said, I ll find another doctor that isn t a mask natzi and out I walked. There are doctors that understand what s going on and that s one I want treating me

I have been going to Dr. Wheeler for eight years. She is kind, compassionate and caring. I trust her judgment, if she doesn t know something she will research it. I have multiple problems but she is patient with me. I truly believe she cares deeply for her patients. Once when I was anxious & depressed, she prayed over me. I ve never had a Doctor do that, it was very touching. She knew I was a Christian and it was fine with me, otherwise I don t think she would ve done it. Im so thankful to have her on my side.

After my doctor who was my favorite retired I ve been in search for a GOOD doctor for the past 8 years. I found Dr. Wheeler on AustinBPA website and saw she was taking new patients. I scheduled an appoint and was able to get in the following week. When I arrived the medical assistant, Savannah was lovely and engaging. Bc this was a first visit establishing patient care, there is a lot to note and she was patient. I saw the PA, can t remember her name but she was rushing like the doctors I no longer see do. She was nice but I wanted to see Dr. Wheeler. I asked her how are patients assigned on the schedule. She informed me that came to whoever was available at the time, the PA or the Doctor- no one is assigned. That s fine. Dr. Wheeler did come in and introduce herself. She sat down and we spoke about my history, my family history and why I chose her. She is fantastic! She s kind, relatable, thorough, and caring. I found my new doctor! I rather see her for serious matters versus the PA but I don t mind the PA. I don t think they would have a problem with me requesting Dr. Wheeler.

I ve had a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Wheeler herself before and I loved her, which prompted me to schedule my routine annual visit at her office. When the appointment was made, it was made with the specific request for Dr. Wheeler and no one else. While we were assured over the phone my appointment would be with Dr. Wheeler, I arrive to the office to be disappointed that it was not with her. Upon arrival, I wasn t greeted by the office staff, and the gentleman who did my vitals never introduced himself and didn t speak well to explain the process. The appointment felt extremely rushed with Dr. Wheelers assistant and I didn t quite feel comfortable the entire appointment to address concerns. To round out my review, Tammy, who is a front desk person was extremely rude to my wife over the phone following my appointment about a potential follow-up. I tried finding a way to leave this review privately, but I do wish Dr. Wheeler and her practice the best. Again, Dr. Wheeler herself is great, but her team could use improvement when it comes to greeting and handling guests.

Simply the best physician and office around! Ive been seeing Dr. Augustine-Wheeler for 5-6 years. She has been with me through thick and thin over the years...the birth of my baby, breast cancer, you name it. Shes a rock - she exudes hope and encouragement. Our whole family now sees her instead of driving a much further distance to a pediatrician. She is kind, gracious, takes ample time to understand what is going on and how to address it. Matthew loves my kids and is patient and thorough. I come very close to posting my phone number so that anyone who reads could ask me herself. I just love her and her office! Let me start by saying I love Dr Wheeler . Unfortunately her staff is terrible. The women at the front desk or whoever answers the office phone. I had some blood work done a few weeks back. I call to get my results and her staff tells me I need to make and appointment to see my results. Over the last 20 years of getting blood work I usually get a call, able to check a website or an email with my results. I told them I prefer to have Dr wheeler call me unless it s serious for me to make an appointment. 3 days have gone by and no call. I still have no idea what my results are. I feel like they want to charge me an office visit for no real reason. As much as I like Dr Wheeler her staff is terrible. Looking for a new doctors office now.

I m seeing rave reviews of this office and am trying to figure out if this is the same office I ve been talking to! Totally lacking in bed side manner so to speak. My first visit there I sat in the waiting room for an hour with just wondering if I was going to be seen. Cassie the NP there was very nice though. Dr was out that day is what I d heard them say. So on waiting for a phone call for referrals, I never received one. And when I called them after almost a week waiting, and asked about the call and references she was very indifferent and cold not apologetic. Horrible people skills! As she was today- only VERY condescending. Like excuse me, I ve just been waiting to get to see a specialist for a while now.

Dr. Itself Is really nice, but the man nurse seemed weird to me. The wait time is crazy! I visited a few times it took 45-1.25 hrs to be checked up with nurse, then wait another 10-20 minutes to see dr. They should manage their schedules better. The new office is cleaner and feel fresh than the old one. But parking is not that great!

I initially gave only one star but changed to 3 stars because of Dr. Wheelers effort. But I refuse what your employee said about me: I wasnt confused to hear other people say bye to me through the phone.I wasnt quiet either but many questions. Not all the people know the correct address of your office. She wasnt patient with me absolutely, when I asked additional questions. That is true. God knows it. You may not believe me. Thats ok, too.but I know you are looking for peace in your office. I admire your effort to be positive and hard work. Thank you. Here is my initial story about Dr. Wheelers clinic customer service. The receptionist, her name letter starts c is extremely rude. She keeps saying good bye and tries to get rid of you when you are still talking to her. The rudest person I ve ever had to talk to make an appointment. Therefore, Dr. Wheeler is loosing her customer. I dont think I want to go if she keeps hiring or having the person like her at front even though Dr. Wheeler has great reviews. What a shame! She cant handle more than one question or sentence if you ask something about specific. She just cant handle the simplest job, making an appointment. Absolutely, rude, so Dr. Wheeler! you cant have a business with me. If the receptionist keeps doing that to other new or current patients, nobody wants to go there. I am pretty sure. Please have a keen eye when you hire people for your office. Dr. Wheeler! Update: I got a call from a doctor, early in the morning 6 am. I guess she is a very passionate and caring doctor. She wants to protect her employee and patient in the same time. I never had any experience with a doctor who is giving so much attention to one person. I forgave her rudeness. I didnt mean make her cry. but she hurt my feelings first. Right now, I have no room to be patient to deal with your staff. so Please understand me. then. I cant come to see you now. P.S: I strongly suggest that you have a recording system on your phone. IN that way, you can monitor your employees are kind to your new customers as much as you are. You can control the part. I dont even know where to start with this wonderful journey with Dr. Wheeler. I randomly found her through Google when my husband and I were settling on our first house in the area. We wanted to confirm if we were welcoming a little one into this world! From the beginning, we were worried about the long waits, but man...Everytime we have gone in the last year and half, it has been joyful, caring, personal, and attentive to details. Our daughter loves her and we enjoy (never thought was possible for just going for check ups) going as a family now. You do need to get there about 30 minutes early. With great care for each for her patients, comes a great wait for everyone. :) The second she walks in, you can share anything and everything. If you are seeking a doctor that also have great referrals as well, shes your gal! Last thing to mention is she does have wonderful staff and they do warm up overtime as they can be a bit shy at first! New location will be updated. To the years to come. :B

Dr. Rosie Augustin-Wheeler is a rare gem. My family and I are very thankful and blessed to finally have an old-fashion physician (truly there for the patients). My family and I have been patients of her office for over three (3) years. Dr. Augustin-Wheeler treats my family like we are a part of her family. When she asks how are you doing , she truly means how are you doing . She comes into the room and treats me, and listens to all of my elements. She has NEVER made me feel that her time is limited, and she s NEVER been in a hurry to get to the next patient. When she walks into the exam room, she is there for me and wants to truly know how I am doing. Her entire office is very professional, friendly, warm-hearted, kind, respectful, and very professional. My family and I have had some emergencies, and Dr. Agustin-Wheeler has taken the time to work us into her office even missing her lunch breaks to make sure that our family was seen. I love her and her staff, and my family and I will continue see her for medical guidance. I wrote a review but I dont know where it went so I will be writing another. I have been seeing Dr. Rose Wheeler for the past three years. She is an amazing, professional, caring dr. As the positive reviews say, she takes time to get to know her patients. She remembers personal stuff, she is helpful and insightful. To some of the previous reviews, the reality is doctors are not perfect. As for the Christian music, I find it soothing and there is NOTHING wrong with it. She isnt the first dr I have seen that does that. It is contemporary and non-offensive to the MAJORITY of Americans.

Sorry to everyone who likes this doctor/practice but I had a very very bad experience here. Here is the story: Started as Im sure you all have experienced, called at least 4 times to set up a new patient appointment (took two weeks to get someone to answer) and goes straight to voicemail. Finally the 5th call I got a receptionist. She was nice so I didnt have any issues with that. Cut to the day of the appointment. I show up 30 mins before the schedule time to fill out paper work. YES THIS PLACE IS VERY SMALL AND UNCOMFORTABLE!! So that was hard to fill out paperwork with no where to sit..... (side note they only play Christian faith base music in the waiting area) Told them Ill be waiting outside cause clearly there was no where to wait in that area. 45 mins go by and I go in to check. They said Ill be seen soon. Luckily there was a empty chair so I waited inside. 30 more mins go by.... I was taken back to a room. Very dirty and dusty in the room. Also no medical office should have carpet! Collects germs and allergens and cant be cleaned easily. Nurses were very lovely. I will say I do like the nurses. The nurse took down my issues and then left. 20 mins goes by as FINALLY Dr. Wheeler comes in. She already seems like she wants me gone. Smiles and is pleasant but very short with me. I try to explain the issues and how I have to get referrals for specialist cause of insurance. She tells me she can only give me two referrals and that she HAS to refer me to a OBGYN. (THIS INFORMATION IS NOT TRUE!!! You can have more then two referrals and if your female you can go see a OBGYN without a referral) she doesnt know policies very well and my insurance company asked if I wanted to file a complaint. I didnt cause I will plan on not going here again. She also told me I was taking up her lunch time and she had other people to see so she rushed me out of the room!! Maybe if you didnt make me wait 2 hours past appointment time this wouldnt happen. Very unprofessional to tell me I made her miss her lunch. Another thing is personal but short story she found blood and gave me pills for a infection that I KNOW isnt there. Never took them cause test results came back later and what do you know, NO INFECTION! Another example of a doctor giving drugs without proper tests done. Do not go here if your new to the practice. If your her normal patient and enjoy her then by all means do so. I just think she needs some more education on policies, medical info and how to conduct a proper practice.

For Dr. Wheeler to remember my name after only seeing me once was amazing to me. She was genuine in her care for me and all of symptoms I was having. She was even so friendly and compassionate that my 1 year old was taken to her. Im originally from Houston and have had the same family medicine physician for over 13 years. My Family and I have been going to Dr Augustin-Wheeler for just over a year now. I prior to establishing care with Dr Augustine-Wheeler, I had the same Family Physician for 5 years and had to leave when they changed from Family Practice to a Corporate Sponsored Clinic didnt see the Dr anymore just a Physicians Assistant, so I left. I did a very detailed and comprehensive search. I wanted a Family oriented Clinic and I found that and more with Dr Augustin-Wheelers Family practice. It is a personal, Family oriented, patient first, type of Clinic. I Love the entire staff and they always accommodate my Family and I. I never have to make an appointment, they slide me in and tell me upfront that I could probably expect a wait. When I arrive I am greeted professionally and courteously by Nayeli who coordinates and accommodates my visit and she is the one who writes the Drs notes if my Son misses school due to illness or appointment. After I check in the Nurse Jennifer takes my vitals and we chit chat and catch up a bit and we get in a good laugh. Then when it is my turn to be seen by Dr Augustin-Wheeler, I am alway greeted with a deep hug and How is the wife and your Son? How are you doing? It is so good to see you. Yes she knows who I am and what ails me, she is my Doctor. She kept on me to get labs done so I finally did them June of 2014 and on Jun 30, 2014 she diagnosed me with type II diabetes even though I had this disease for a couple years without diagnosis from my previous physician. My A1C level was 13.1!!!!! I felt a mess for the past couple years but I didnt know why. She counseled me on diet and nutrition for what seemed like forever but she is my Doctor and her patients come first. I took labs again Dec 2014 and my A1C dropped to 6.5 in 5 months!!!! My triglycerides went from 218 to 99! I was on testosterone therapy for 5 years with my former Physician but no change. She immediately sent me to a urologist (Dr Bischoff BTW who is like one of the most awesome Drs you will ever meet) and I learned how to take my testosterone correctly and now my level has reached in the upper 800s! My quality of life has improved dramatically and I owe that to Dr Augustine-Wheeler. 1 year ago I felt like I had 1 foot in the grave now I feel like a whole Man again. My Family and I are so grateful to Dr Augustine-Wheeler and her staff. Please dont fall under a Corporate sponsor, please dont change a thing!
