My wife and I discovered this place one night while looking for a local burger. This place is an awesome neighborhood joint. It is a bar, that happens to also have excellent bar food. The bacon burger was awesome with nice crisp French fries. My wife got the gyro and it was also delicious. The beer is really cold and always fresh. Lume is the bartender and waitress...She is a Jersey Firecracker who doesnt take any shit, but at the same time shes very personable if youre not rude to her or a pain in the ass. The bar has its usual compliment of locals on any given night. This is an excellent watering hole with local flavor and more than enough tvs to catch any sporting event. They also have a few pool tables if thats your thing. If you want an overpriced appletini served by a dizzy bartender while your kids gnaw on overcooked chicken Tenders, then go to Chilis...if you want a good neighborhood joint with great atmosphere with reasonably priced, excellent food and drinks, then this is the place for you.

Hands down, one of the best spots in town! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is just right cozy and welcoming. The bartenders are mixology magicians, each drink they whip up is a masterpiece. Whether youre in for a chill night or looking to groove to some live music, this place has it all. The selection of craft beers and cocktails is top-notch, and dont even get me started on the mouthwatering bites theyre the perfect accompaniment to your drink. Not a place to take your kids. Some place called a bar & grill is usually both a bar and a restaurant. Here not so much. This may be a great bar for the regulars we saw there to hang out, but don t expect to get decent food, and do expect to be looked at like an outsider. The grilled chicken sandwich was a frozen Costco chicken breast thrown on the grill. One daughter did say the nachos were ok but the other one got chicken fingers and fries. The fries were rock hard. When we walked in I wasn t even sure if minors were allowed. No welcome was offered so I had to walk to the bar to ask. They would be better off to get rid of the kitchen and just be a bar.

Onion rings tasted like they were thrown in the fryer more than once. Even the onion inside was extra crispy. They initiated a new system, they add 3.5% if you pay using a credit card. Wont go back.

I ve been here a few times for food and karaoke. The food is spectacular and full of flavor; not your typical bar food and I would highly recommend if you like food that makes your tastebuds dance! The black and blue burger, the Philly cheeses steak, quesadillas add chicken and any of the salads with chicken are my favorites that rival many expensive restaurants! Love the food here!

This is our go to place for reasonably priced food and drinks. The food is surprisingly good for a bar. The nachos are some of my favorite, gyros are great, and the Cobb salad is a regular item for us. Beer selection and better mixed drinks (old fashioneds, mules, etc) could improve the vibe a bit. The waitresses are some of our favorite at any bar. Very sweet and hard working.

My wife and I have been going to the point for about 5-6 years now. We frequent there quite often. To me its kinda like the TV show Cheers. Everyone knows everyone and we are all friends. The food and service are great, the atmosphere is great! We have become good friends with Lamae, Ziti, Lumi, Alana, and Hailey. You know the song I love this bar ? Well I love this bar! All the servers and bartenders are amazing, the food is unexpectedly good, and it is a local business run by an amazing family living their American dream. Smoking is allowed, so if you are sensitive to that it may not be your place. Love a cigar or a place to have a good drink and smoke? Check The Point out! It has been our haven during freezing cold and blistering hot times. Plus they have a great bourbon selection. The food is amazing. Some of the best fajitas, salsa, pizza and salads I have found in the area. The drinks are fair pours -and priced. Yes, prices have gone up but so has everything! So I highly recommend this place as long as you know what it is- an awesome bar with great food and fantastic staff. I ve been coming at least twice a week for many years, and will continue to be a regular!

Reeks of smoke, There is no ventilation and even though 60 out they would not allow the front door to be open because they said it was competing with the air conditioner (70). There is not a non smoking section. Am shocked that in 2021 people are allow to smoke right next to you while you are eating your food. Food and service were good but the smoky atmosphere made eating the meal difficult. Just gross and smelly, I dont know how the wait staff can work in that environment. Just awful, I had major headache after being there 30 minutes. Stay away.

I only give the point 4 stars because youre allowed to smoke inside. So its hard to take kids to. But other than that the food is great and the service better. I rarely (read never) eat anything other than my own chicken fried steak... But the CFS at the point is just fine with me. A great value and it tastes great. Fresh veggies, nice salads, and a varied menu. The beer is cold and the atmosphere friendly. I highly recommend it. I m lowering to two stars. Finally, after COVID and everything opened back up, we went back to eat at one of our favorite local spots. My how times have changed. I ordered the fried catfish, which used to come with hush puppies (my main reason for ordering this dish) two pieces of fried catfish and sweet potato fries. No more my friends. No hush puppies. No sweet potato fries and only one piece of fish . But the same price as before. To say I was disappointed would be putting it mildly. We won t be back.

The environment is nice. Its a pretty clean place with 5 pool tables. Which is great for me sometimes me and some friends will play multiple games at a time. I must say one of my favorite things about the point is that I know a lot of the folks that come out. Ive lived in lake dallas for over 3 years now and I never go there without seeing someone I know. I love the food here. I think because tbac visits this place so often it is a safe environment. But the owners are always paranoid about it being shut down. If you follow the rules then there should be no worries. Let the customers enjoy themselves here. Everything is ok. One of the owners actually expressed to me his worries. I felt for him. A family business is something to take pride in and be greatful for. I am glad the Point is here in my community.

Dont expect it to be open for long. Waitress said only open for few days and were trying to work it out. No social distancing, bar seating offered no distance and cant believe all were in same household, waitress masks below nose and to close to customers, puppy was being shown around by customer. Great food! The portion sizes are just right and the prices are too. We had the chicken strips, quesadillas and the CFS and we barely finished it all. Enjoy!

Love the people the atmosphere and the apple wood burger and bloody Marys are spot on awesome and love the cute lil dark hair waitress she mixes the best and best personality for a CHEERS type bar makes ya feel at home
