The park could be better maintained then it was the grass was recently mowed but was left in piles fire mosquitoes to breed. Picnic area: Tables are too far away from the playground area. The park could be cleaned up better.

Visited this park area on the 4th to watch the firework show. Its an okay park. There are lots of different areas of the park to enjoy which allows for lots of people to be there but the parking is terrible! You most like will end up parking in front of someones house.

I came here years ago with my friends and I miss it and need to go back. This park is really beautiful with art and also with a great view of Houston. It is also a great place to skate and I m sure that it would be great to come with family, go on a date, or even hang out and study by yourself. As always as much love from Houston and the universe. Playground: no playground but its a cool space with art Toilets: no bathrooms to my recollection Dog-friendliness: good for pets but please use a leash at all times for everyone else since no one knows the temperment of your dog and the safety of everyone involved Picnic area: good for picnics with one table only if im not incorrect if none but you can bring a blanket with plenty of beautiful space

Great park amenities, plenty of recreation & picnic space, and scenic atmosphere against the downtown skyline, Heights, and Washington St / Memorial Drive skyline! Two desperate improvements needed: 1) More parking lot security near baseball fields and White Oak Dr. Too many car burglaries for such a nice park. 2) Better landscaping at Stude St & Studemont St intersection. Currently massive ivy & branch overgrowth forcing vehicles to make wide turns that can cause a wreck or pedestrian hit, and the overgrowth has been there for almost a year with no attention given. Playground: Great for kids and safe. Toilets: Needs more portapotties for busier weekends. Dog-friendliness: Most who come here leash their dogs and are fairly well trained. Picnic area: Good areas to set up tables and blankets.

If you want to get a good run and walk. This is the place for it. Open space for plenty of people to do their routine. But they play ground was a disappointment. Last time I went to the playground with my kids here was 4 years ago. They playground looked so wear out. The slides were only for bigger kids and not enough play area for toddlers. A huge disappointment. They need to repair that. Playground: Playground is a huge disappointment. There are a bit of part that you can tell it is run down. The plastic see through is all yellow and you can not see through it anymore. There isnt much to do for a toddler because they will be bigger kids bumping into them. That playground needs to be remodel asap. Dog-friendliness: Dogs of all shape and sizes. As long as your dog is on a leash and you can total control of your dog. There will not be any problem by bringing your dog here. Picnic area: Depends where you want to eat because some days are to windy and sometimes theres over grown grass due to the weather. Other than that, you can have an open picnic anywhere.

Playground: Not only is there a brand new playground that is pretty large, but there is a dog park, a skate park, and a DIY little park behind the skate park. Great place! Playground: I used to take my daughter to this playground when she was a little one 20 years ago and it hasnt changed much since. Was fun then and looks to be fun for the kids now. Toilets: The restrooms as I recall were in the small building by the playground, the building also has indoor basketball court. Really nice wood floor court. Use to play ball there all the time. P.s. better be good if you want to stay out on the court.... Dog-friendliness: Dogs are always welcome but keep in mind leash law is in effect. Picnic area: There is areas with benches and tables but you can go anywhere you like to have a nice blanket picnic in the grass.

Really really nice walking trail to go to. Personally walked about 5 miles up the Canal. Very clean and well since Houston floods a lot during hurricane season there may be some puddle or mud on the walking path. But other than its a very nice and refreshing walk. It also goes to downtown Houston. Definitely recommend if you want to be more out in nature on your walks.
