Have you ever had an experience that changed your entire perspective? Well, thats the kind of life-changing service I received from Shiraya Jackson. A little background: I previously acquired a different firms services and for 9 months I had to drive 10 hours to and from Houston because my case kept being reset. My initial attorney never came to the docket call on time and always sent someone else in her place. I only met this attorney one time during the entire 9 months she was representing me. *Disappointing and Costly Experience with Walters Office* Im sharing my experience with Walters office to caution others. In April, I sought their help with my divorce appeal process, Unfortunately, their representation was subpar and costly. Despite charging me over $12,000 in one month, they failed to show up in court, leading to a final decree being signed without my knowledge or consent. This mistake caused significant financial losses and emotional distress. When I tried to address this issue with Mr/Brian, instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, they were rude and uncooperative. They even asked to withdraw from the case, leaving me to find a new lawyer to fix the damage. Its clear that this office prioritizes profits over clients well-being. Their lack of accountability, rudeness, and unprofessionalism made a difficult situation even more painful. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions when choosing legal representation.

Stay away from that office. All they care about is taking your money. Even after we agreed that I no longer needed their representation and I was moving to a different office, they still filed something extra in court They can keep my retainer money. Your claim that charges were filed based on a withdrawal motion is not true. Your office filed a motion I didnt even request, and they did so after I requested termination and had over $2,500 in my account. There was significant neglect from your lawyers regarding my case. They were aware of the judges final decision on Wednesday but didnt inform me until the following Monday. Its clear that your office is more concerned with extracting money from clients and inflating bills, such as charging me for 30-minute phone calls that actually lasted only 10 minutes

CARYN CARTER GOMAR This review is specifically about Caryn: I have been working with Caryn for well over a year now (contested divorce with children). My divorce was long and arduous. Without getting into the nitty gritty too much: my ex would not agree for me to be the primary parent, to the point we had to go to court for a judge to decide. This took three separate court dates. Finally the judge made their decision, though it didn t take long for my ex to file an appeal. Yet again, we had court. This took two dates, at the end of which the judge stayed with their initial decision. I haven t lived a more difficult year than the year of my divorce (which really amounts to over a year in total). Not because I was sad for the relationship to end (because I surely wasn t), but because my ex did anything and everything he could to make my life miserable. It was awful. Caryn was very compassionate the entire time. She gave solid advice and has been the best attorney I could ask for. The end result is quite nearly exactly what I wanted (which is truly what is the best for the kids). Caryn is thorough and makes good points in and outside of court. She maintains composure in the courtroom and tackles tough subjects/moments with confidence. As I previously stated: she is compassionate and empathetic (there were times I truly needed that). At the same time, she will not sugar coat anything for you - and you should never want that from an attorney. She will give you her opinion/advice directly, which I very much appreciate. Brian is an excellent, knowledgeable lawyer, who is an expert at family law. My divorce case was very complicated since it involved issues of international child abduction, and obtaining child custody. Brian helped me obtain sole managerial custody of my child, which is very difficult to achieve in Texas. This company represented my ex wife in our divorce, and they could not have helped my side of things out any better! In my attorney words, there lack of law 101. There blatant disregard in presenting themselves in a professional manner. They not only charged my ex wife around $200,000 for a divorce that was finalized in 6 months, but helpfully my ex wife will see through there smoke and mirrors and file a malpractice lawsuit against them to reclaim some of the money that was, in my option, stolen from her.

Court appointed Raya Jackson to represent me for an enforcement case for access and possession of my children. Kids father had filed it stating I was in contempt for not following the visitation schedule at several occasions. Raya went above and beyond to assist me. I started my divorce in February 2022 and just signed my final decree today. I originally had a different family attorney that was doing good for me, but I was hitting roadblocks during mediation and wanted to see if Walters Gilbreath would be able to approach it differently. When I called to go over my case, I was assigned to Jonathan Hassell. At first I was hesitant to work with anyone besides Brian Walters, and they were absolutely willing to let me work directly with him, but Im glad I continued with Jonathan and he was without a doubt the right choice.
