I do not recommend this service. Once they have your money, it feels like you re just being passed around from one paralegal to another. Paperwork often gets misplaced, and it seems like their primary focus is on the fees rather than providing quality service. Despite paying a significant amount, I found that they didn t keep track of what they were billing for or offer clear communication. Overall, it was not a good experience.

Just dont! The free initial call did not provide accurate information and was just a sales pitch in the end. Ive spent $1,600 and have met with my atty twice. They bill for every email and call to schedule a meeting - 15 minutes minimum and at an hourly rate of $300+, thats $75+ for 2 minutes of work. Plus a $250 onboarding fee plus some mystery transcription fee of $75 I was never told about. If they meet internally, thats 15 minutes times 3 people - the atty, the paralegal and the supervisor with rates up to $500/hour. I was billed for them researching whether my case had been filed with the court but my case isnt in Texas which they knew about from the sales call. They apparently do a monthly summary that they gladly bill you for as well - I never received this. They refuse to refund your money if they bill you for another client by accident. They only give you credit towards future work and even then I havent seen them do that right. I have spent more time fighting their billing practices than on my case. Buyer beware.

The billing department is amazing and I could rate them individually from the lawyers I would give them 5 stars. These lawyers advertise 3500 retainer fee qoth only 700 a month but this is a pale comparison to what actually happens. I was charge 5000 in a week. Do not use these people. They lie to you and try to get you to rate them 5 stars based on the kind billing staff alone. But these lawyers are not on your team. You are paying to be siphoned of all your money.

Cost me $5500 for an UNCONTESTED child custody modification because the lawyers are so incompetent. They over bill and under perform. Would ve cost me $6800 had I not called a meeting with the billing office and explained with time stamps that my attorney dropped the ball. After the free consultation, and paying our $5k retainer. Our case was reassigned to another attorney without our knowledge or consent, and without explanation. $1500 was spent filing a court motion which ultimately had to be redone. We only noticed there was a problem after we were charged for a monthly review of our case even though no measurable work had been done. The law office of Bryan Fagan was notified that they were being fired and we demanded the remainder of our retainer. We have since sought professional legal representation and our case is moving forward smoothly. It s a month later and I am still chasing that refund from Fagan s. Save your time, save your money. This is a hack law office full of liars and thieves.

Total scam...Ive already been adopting for 2 years (the child lives with me, the father has disappeared since the child was born) and I think that this way it is easier to handle a case where there has been no presence of the father, this case that should have been ended in 8 months with a cost of more or less $5 thousand...its already been 2 years and $30 thousand dollars...they charge a case review every week...how much they review it if the case has not been moved... They change lawyers without informing you and then they start charging from scratch...it is a SCAM, it would be a good thing that they investigated that firm...and that they return the money to all the people who have been scammed. I was beaten as a child and have visible scars from my mother and was put into child protective services before I met my father. Once settled into his household I needed to legally cement my place in the new home. I now know this should have been simple given this process was completed after a short period after we switched to a new law firm, but my family didnt know this at the time and was placing what turned out to be a naive faith in this law firm. Its embarrassing to admit how much of their incorrigible desire for our money we tolerated out of a sheer hope that honest work was going to be done and our sacrifice was going to be worth it. Alas, all of that money we spent only served to further embolden them to drag their feet and do nothing of consequence. During the period of bandying empty words and absurd procrastination and billings, my mother had time to levy enough financial support to maintain the custody battle. She ended up ensuring I can no longer even see my younger sister. Out of an outrage of being entirely detached from any form of communication with sister coupled with a desperate desire not to suffer the same fate, we switched to an alternative law firm and were able to win in the courts quickly. As a result of this firms complete and utter incompetence, I havent even been able to hear my sisters voice, or see her face. I dont even know if she is okay right now, or even alive. This was a completely avoidable outcome only made possible by this law offices complete disregard for truth, honesty and integrity in exchange for profit. I am not one to typically leave reviews, but I dont want any family to suffer the same fate as I have. I therefore feel compelled to share my story in hopes that any thought of business with this remorseless legal firm has been thoroughly extinguished, lest you lose your loved ones and your money in vain. I am just a boy with everything I worked for stolen from me when I was put into CPS. Having just strained my fathers limited financial resources, I have little way to hold this business accountable myself. Yet by choosing not to do business with this firm, you are making my family s loss and sacrifice worth it. If I could know that I stopped this firm from profiting off of even just one familys suffering, I could sleep each night with an easier conscience. But I will never have any way of knowing I reached you, and I will have no way of thanking you for avoiding this firm. Yet I believe that the moral arc of the universe bends towards justice. I believe in a solemn yet enduring hope that by choosing not to do business with this firm you embody one small that virtue has triumphed over the sea of evil that is embodied by this law firm, in spite of their borderline inhumane and dispassionate contempt for anything regarding the sanctity of financial, marital, custodial, or any other forms of familial stability. I believe that the small virtue you embody by not doing business with this evil will bend the arch of the moral universe ever closer to justice. *warning-call another law firm* Im helping my employee fight for custody of his daughter and this law firm told him it would be around $5-$8,000, take a couple of months and he would be able to see is daughter throughout the process. Well, none of that has happened. Its been a year, over $18,000 and he has yet to see his daughter. Now they want more money or theyll give him the case files so he can represent himself or find another lawyer. Not sure how this firm can sleep at night.

Called these folks today with a simple question. What s the fee for a will for my parents? The reception states they needed to speak with my parents first before anything since the wills for them. I told her clearly that my parents speak Spanish only and if we were to move forward then they can come up to the office etc The receptionist still insisted she needed to speak with them. I called 5 other firms before this one and this is the only one that gave me a hard time in answering basic questions. I told the receptionist obviously this firm is not the right fit for my parents. This place indeed took all my money. Had me sign a contract that I, an ordinary person who was seeking legal help was played with. My petition to court were submitted late. The attorney wanted to pretend that he was helping me and he did all that he can. where as he didnt provide any valuable input. They just want a case. They, all of them dont treat you like a person. I would never recommend this firm to anyone, even if the legal matter is simple. They are not honest about all of the predictable charges you will incur. You are discouraged from talking to your paralegal or attorney because they will charge you for any email, call, or text no matter how short. An uncontested divorce with assets already divided, property already sold, and no kids should not have cost as much as it did here. They give you a bait and switch for the pricing by telling you some of the monthly fees that you will have to pay and maintain, but they don t tell you about all of the different weekly fees for having meetings, checking for new files, or even that you get charged for every bit of communication with your attorney or paralegal no matter how small. Even if you send them an email and they don t respond to it, they charge you for it. I was charged weekly for the paralegal checking for a document they failed to send to my ex-wife for a month, and charged again for asking for a status update and again for being told that if they didn t receive the documents from her, they would recommend paying to have her physically served. Only when I asked them to verify what email they had on file for her did they discover they never sent the paperwork. They would have charged me even more saying she never sent us the paperwork when it was never sent to her in the first place. I was called by the paralegal, which I got billed for, to set up an attorney-client meeting. The meeting was canceled and I got reassigned to a new attorney with no notice. They are refusing to refund the time and communications related to the paralegal not sending the document as well as for calling me for a meeting that never happened. Every single time I ve had to follow up on the status of my dispute, I ve had to call them multiple times before I can talk to someone to tell me what is going on. I ll get told by one department that it s approved and waiting on a sign off, then have to call back to get told by another department that it was denied. Again, I would never recommend this firm to anyone, even if the legal matter is simple. This is a business that won t tell you enough information up front. The reps in billing and customer relations rarely call you back to follow up on getting answers to questions. But they are very quick to invoice you and pull money from your trust.

WARNING long post!! I absolutely hate this company. Hiring them was the worst decision lve ever made in my life. They lied multiple times. My initial consultation I was quoted a certain price and I ended up paying double. FOR AN UNCONTESTED DIVORCE!!! When I brought it up to them and told them I didnt want them representing me on my completely uncontested divorce, they said theyd finish my divorce at no cost UNLESS we went to court. We didnt go to court because my ex wife and I agreed on EVERYTHING! And guess what happened? Im in collections to pay off the final portion of my divorce. They literally lied to my face about the final portion of my divorce being at no cost. I would implore you all to not hire these people. Worst experience of my life. After the divorce they did a conference call asking me to use their services to write a will. Yeah right!! I cant trust this company on my divorce Im definitely not trusting them to draft me a will. The attorneys here are literally super heroes. There is an immense power imbalance. Not having money to pursue legal action denies citizens their due process civil rights in a sense. Im reading these reviews and Im thinking wow everyone is complaining about they had to pay a.lawyer a lot of money... Well Ill go ahead and think this thru and explain for everyone that doesnt seem to understand the lawyer process... #1- you have to be intelligent, smart witted, educated & excepted, than be able to be even more excepted to be able to get thru the whole becoming a lawyer is a very tedious process... They go to years of schooling, than have to start pretty much at the bottom of the totem pole and than build very strong, trustworthy relationships with not only the clients but than the other members of judicial parties... This is not a easy task by any means and with my knowledge of them they are not always from the cream of the crop well to do families that can always just pay their education for them... They also limited to having a paid job during school I believe there is a full term one or two years that they arent allowed to work for the extreme stress of getting thru than graduating than taking all the bar exams after that... So before everyone wants to bash them for taking your money... The going retainer these days for a lawyer who can help is a retainer fee of around $50,000 theyll usually let you make payments with a good down... However these guys most of them definitely earn their money there is so much paperwork and such to process and has to be done.in a very strict manner also... So Im mentioning this for most people who dont really understand the costs of it all... Also theres always the other option of not eating one and just be civilized humans and agree on things and do it yourself.... Its not their faults that we decided to become uncivilized and not be able to get thru problems with our marriages and have to take these extreme measures ...

I hired this law firm to initiate probate for my late husband. I spoke with the assigned attorney for 30 minutes. During our conversation, she discovered that probate was already initiated by my late husband s daughter with another law firm. I fired this law firm immediately as I no longer needed their services for the probate process. I began to get electronic emails saying she( my attorney) was out of the office for a week. I could not get anyone to respond to me concerning a refund. A few days later I received a bill with bogus charges, of meetings, and case review and strategy meetings. What Case! They continued to create scenarios and. They charged me $2000.00 for a 30 minute conversation and false paperwork. BEWARE this firm is an upscale ring of thieves!!

They have constant turnover and charge their client as a result. New paralegal texted to introduced themselves $130 bill. For one sentence. Shes had 3 new paralegals over the course of almost two years. Her attorney quit. They are charging her for the new attorney to learn the case. They do these docket checks every week and charge. Its a way to nickel and dime their clients. She spent over $5k to show up for a court date that the paralegal failed to actually schedule. Huge mistake, but guess who paid for it! I wish we would have researched them more. Now Im researching how do we go about reporting them. It sounds like everyone needs to come together for a Class Action.

They call opposing council and they dont answer? Bill. They spent 20 thousand of my money to have one unsuccessful mediation and to schedule another. If you are in a financial struggle during your divorce, I would not recommend this law firm. The billing for their services is beyond ridiculous. In my initial FREE consultation, they advertised peace of mind and a stress free case and was very reassuring. I received multiple invoices daily from them. They would pull money out of my account without any pre-notification, beyond the initial set monthly payments. They require you to keep a trust so there is no outstanding balanced owed, I was sure I could maintain that... ABSOLUTELY NOT. Within 4 months I had paid over $8k before even going to mediation. I had to place a stop payment with my bank because despite my billing disputes for duplicate or over billing, they were still pulling hundreds of dollars from my checking account weekly. I never felt comfortable reaching out to my attorney for questions or details cause they would nickel and dime every call/email. They over-bill you for everything. I would like to mention, Tyra was a very sweet, compassionate and professional attorney. Update - I had spoke with the billing department an agreed to set up scheduled payments for my remaining balance but the same day their system automatically pulled out the entire remaining balance (over $4k is over billed services) and then was told they cannot refund it. Ana specifically in the billing department was very rude and sarcastic to me when I was pleading for my funds to be returned as that was all the money I had for my bills this month. If she is the voice of this company, I assure you there is no empathy or compassion in this corporate law firm. If I would have known better, I would go with an independent law firm, someone who cares about their customers and not just the profit of services.

If you value your children do not go to this law firm! Stay away! They do not fight for your case and the only thing they care about is billing. I had Tyra Lovelace and she dropped my case to pursue another law firm. The new attorney Carrie Marquis hasn t even attempted to call me that took over my case. The only thing they contact me for is money. They do not care about peoples lives! The phone number they provide to fix these issues is a scam and no one fixes anything! I hired them back in June for 3500 and nothing has been done and it s the beginning of July. The only person that cares is Mireya Guzman from billing to collect more money. This law firm is fraudulent and I will be reporting them to the BAR!

I recommend avoiding this company and to not waste your time engaging in a conversation nor consultation. Do not share banking nor credit card information with them. If you spoke to them then beg you to not call them again. Search them on Yelp to see others experience. Many of the glowing Google reviews seem questionable. *Business Day 1: Credit card charge for thousands of dollars *Business Day 2: -Attorney was a no-show in court -Requested a refund from a person with the initials of NV that services no longer needed as attorney did not show up in court -NV that she had already notified them about refund - not sure of identity or department for them *Business Day 3: Notified NV that had not received notification or update of a refund *Business Day 4: NV responded that had contacted billing rep. Throughout the day there were communications back-and-forth with assurances from NV that they had contacted billing and refund department *Business Day 5: I informed NV that still had not received any communication from billing nor refund department and asked for the phone number and email address for the refund department *Business Day 6: Sent email to refund / billing department and asked for status of refund Business Day 11: Still no communication or refund or void of charges to credit card. The temerity! It took less than four hours to charge the credit card for thousands of dollars. Even now and after the attorney was no-show in court, multiple requests and follow up for a refund, there has not been a refund nor voiding of charges. Big box stores will all refund or void a charge within minutes. I find it hard to believe that a law firm somehow does not seem to understand how to return a persons money after over 10 days. They are aware that they have not done one second of actual work and that they were informed their services were not needed. The not returning of monies seems intentional. Wonder if this approach is an additional revenue scheme with no work on their part. I recommend you avoid like the plague! Zero stars.

The worst experience I have had in my life with human beings. All I wanted was help and they wanted money. Never got my divorce/custody issue addressed and was told it would be $16k for them to travel from Dallas area to Lubbock to try my case. Because opposing counsel has not been informed they were presenting me during my mediation, which Crystal said she had reached out, I was unable to get my deposit/retainer back because they wasted my time. I am sending an invoice to the itemizing the time they took from my work day to make sure they were able to keep my retainer. I am also reaching out to the state bar because they are conducting fraudulent business as a law firm. Please find another law firm. This one will charge your card for every single thing they do. Think about your case? Credit card charged! Two second conversation with someone else about your case? Credit card charged! The credit card authorization is also the least ambiguous thing in the entire contract. According to their receptionist, Monique (who was as helpful as she could be until she didn t send me an email like she said she would and screened my later calls), you re agreeing to pay for their staff s turnaround time as well. So if you re thinking about sending them an email and it takes them 3 days to respond? Credit card charged! Oh, and it s not just for the time it took them to send you a one-line email. It s for the 3 days it took them! I had a first year attorney on my case. Three weeks and $7,000 later, I can t say they provided me with more than a headache because I specifically told them I was a stay-at-home most of my marriage and had NO MONEY FOR A DIVORCE!!! Their billing department also never answers and what s worse is their receptionist acknowledged this too they re always busy . I m not sure what they re busy with because it sure isn t helping people understand their invoices or taking the time by answering calls, calling back or taking 5 minutes to email them back. They got me with the idea of a payment plan and one of the lowest retainers but man, oh man. I d probably be having to pay off a mortgage by the time my divorce got done if I stayed with this firm. This place is such a ripoff and they re preying on emotionally vulnerable people so just find someone else even if they might be a little more expensive upfront because I m sure it ll be well worth it compared to this place.

I give them 5*, but its qualified. The legal advice was competent and the objective was achieved. Michael Edwards and Michael Pitzer were professional and helpful. I would certainly recommend consulting with this firm. But if you contract with them, a bit of forewarning is appropriate. There will be *LOTS* of bills. Perhaps this is typical in the legal profession in general, but it became overwhelming at times. Of note though is that there were several that I contested that were refunded. It makes me feel I should have paid more attention to all of them. You will also want to double check all aspects of the work, as I did find errors at times that had to be corrected. In general, you should be an advocate for yourself and make sure the process is proceeding how you want it to. One thing that can help is making contact with one of their account representatives, as they can help make sense of the billing and are an advocate for you. To that end, I cant think Christina Dominguez enough. She helped sort through some billing issues, and was able to give me voice behind the scenes. All in all, Im appreciative of their efforts on my behalf.

They have been harassing me for 5 months straight!!! I had a consult and was given a price. Then when I went to hire them they sent me a contract with the price I was quilted as the RETAINER and with a MONTHLY payment of $500 that read UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!! My attorney Brittany Archie was great! Its thr billing department who I signed an addendum with for payments, that all Of sudde. Voided. Without contacting me and telling me! I am a single mother paying for everything, and they literally just debited my card $1500 without consent, or hell, a heads up! I m paying for my child s daycare, bills, food, and they don t care!!! I was early or on time with ALL my payments and even paid more when I could! I m very upset and literally left me with no way to pay anything until my next check!! They need to be fired. No communication from the billing department, Ashly, I believe is her name!

My experience with the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC was unsatisfactory. Communication was lacking, and it felt like my case wasnt given proper attention. Unfortunately, it appears that they are taking an extended period to handle my case, which may be contributing to higher charges. I ve been charged for more than $16,000 in past 6 months. The delay in resolution is concerning, and it gives the impression of prolonging the process to increase fees. During my first call with Bryan Fagan he explained how I would be able to file for guardianship of my adult son (if I was able to locate him in Houston) and that I would be able to have control of his receiving treatment for his mental illness. I then learned from doctors in the Houston area that this was not even remotely true so I then stated to the law office not to proceed with any work on the case. In spite of this they continued to charge me for services and deducted the money that I had given them as a retainer even though it shows in their own billing that I had requested them to do nothing with my case. At this point they have charged me over $1,000, rendered no services and my son is still missing and possibly dead. When looking at Google reviews its very clear that Google has distorted their own ratings of this crooked law firm. Simple math would tell you that the overall rating for this company should be no more than two stars but somehow Google has found a way to give them five stars. Guess whos getting paid by Bryan Fagan??

STAY FAR AWAY I dont even know where to start, maybe the one positive. Aron Accord was phenomenal, and helped a lot. I had Kristina for a very short period of time (2 weeks if that) half of my retainer disappeared into thin air. Over a hand full of emails, and a call. I plan on reporting this firm to the bar and disputing all charges. Now apparently he offers sweepstakes for divorces too If you want an amazing attorney please see Matt Tyson. Quality over quantity. Matt is blunt and honest and wont give you false hope.
