The staff was super nice and friendly, gave recommendations on food and drinks, the service was excellent!!! The food was good. We tried the brussle sprouts, the roasted carrots, and the Buratha with tomatoes and grapes! However, the dishes itself had a bad smell! it seems that it wasnt cleaned enough and it was hard to enjoy the food after that!

The food and drinks were good but the music was a bit loud so it was kind of hard to hear group conversations. A very cute bar with a nice sized parking lot. Will definitely visit again once the weather cools off!

We arrived early (5:30),the restaurant was already loud and got worse from there. It was difficult to have a conversation with the others at our table and we quickly tired from yelling and saying what?. The staff were very pleasant but it took a while for our drinks to arrive. We went with the HRW menu. Roasted carrots were ok, the cacio pepe and the risotto were both gummy. We had the lemon bars for dessert and again were disappointed. A tiny, flat square that looked like a packaged bar that was cut into 4 pieces. Too many good restaurants around and unfortunately we didnt find this one worth returning to.

I was looking for a cute little place to eat at in the heights and happened upon this one. We made a reservation, which Im glad we did because I dont think they had any open tables for walk-ups. When they brought us our water, it didnt have any ice in it so I asked for a glass of ice. The waitress came back and pretty much slammed it on the table and rudely walked away. Honestly, she had no personality. I ordered a Greek salad, but when it came, it didnt have any lettuce, which I thought was extremely odd. I read the description again and it didnt menrion lettuce, but one would think that lettuce would come with a Greek salad. The food was way overpriced. I will not be returning.

I ve been here once with a large group of friends. Everything was fine until we went to order another round, and the manager cut us off with no explanation. When we asked she said it was because one of us threw up all over the bathroom. We explained that wasn t us, that we had to use the men s because the females was locked. She didn t apologize, and said we could order more drinks. We ended up closing our tab because of how rude the manager was. There was no apology from her or the server. They also automatically add tips.

Y all were incredibly rude from the get go. Throwing menus and napkins at us. We were a big group of 9, and had just come for some food and drinks. The workers all of a sudden said we are done serving drinks, at 10pm. No explanation. When we asked what happened, they said someone had thrown up in the bathroom, and they thought it was one of us. They eventually were willing to let us order drinks, but continued to give us attitude the entire time and never apologized. If they had even asked they would have known that none of the women we were with could even go into the women s bathroom, and had to go into the men s. This was 8/9/24 in the evening. Y all just need to be better, it s that simple. Drinks were good, food was not bad otherwise

Really really bad service at the bar. He seemed angry that we came and sat down. Everything we did seemed to annoy him. More chips with your app? Nope. Chit chat with the bartender? Nope. We decided to cut out losses and leave after app and salad. The food was delish though. So maybe try sitting at a table and having a waiter/waitress for service.

Booked a Heights & Co table through Resy to celebrate a birthday. Storms blew through Houston ahead of the scheduled reservation. Couldn t find a phone number for them on their google maps page, website, or instagram account in order to ask them if the patio was usable with the rain and / or if they could accommodate a table inside. I didn t receive a call or text other than the standard Resy text that I was due at the restaurant. Seemed like a gamble to hustle over there without any additional information on what they could accommodate, so we didn t go. I m sure they have reasons as to why they do not wish to have phone contact with their customers. But to have the ability to call them in this instance was frustrating and off-putting.

As a chef, my kitchen keeps me very busy. Its not often that I get the opportunity to dine elsewhere. When I do get that opportunity, I leave all but my most basic expectations behind. Even then, I try to imagine my worst days and I factor in even more grace for the establishment Im patronizing. I was invited to Heights and Co. by a group of friends last week for a drink and snack. My point in being there was to escape my kitchen for a while. The time with my friends was the most important part. Good thing, because the food was absolutely terrible across the table. Steak Frites - ordered medium-rare / received medium-well and un-seasoned. Advertised in the menu as a petit tenderloin--but was actually improperly-cut eye of round steak. It is served with a sauce that tastes like warm chocolate truemoo. The fries tasted like buttery dirt, yet had no seasoning whatsoever. Brisket Grilled Cheese - This is Texas. If you are offering brisket as a part of any menu item...especially in Houston, make sure you step up to the plate. My advice is to step away from this plate. Burger - ordered medium / received hammered. Drinks were decent. Now I have been in the position many times of having to cook AND serve. I get it--somebody has to do it when others dont show up. Had our server informed us that this was the case, that would have resulted in complete understanding and no further complaints. However, when we kindly pointed out to the server that nobody took more than two bites of their food, we were met with a rather childish attitude about it. After he had an instant scowl come across his face and then prissed away from our table as if we had insulted him personally (which we insulted nobody), it became evident that HE was the one who cooked our food. After that, the manager (so as he was) came over to take money. He said nothing to us about the incident, but rather hurried us away from the table. I was told later on that small discounts had been applied to a couple of the dishes on a couple of my friends tickets. As a chef--Ive learned to have thick skin in general. As a customer, Ive also learned from experiences like this one how NOT to run my own kitchen.

Tried this place for the first time for a movie night. We get there a little early for dinner and hang out a bit. Patio is nice and host took us immediately to our reserved table. Cocktails and food are good, but the food comes in small portions. We were a bit disappointed as the movie had no audio and it does not state that anywhere online. I did not mind as they were playing Jurassic Park and I m a super huge fan. I pretty much quoted the movie to my friend and we had some laughs. Turned out to be a good night. I liked having smores while I watched the movie. Reminded me when I was a kid

Came here for the mean girls movie night experience and just like another person who left a review we were highly disappointed. There was no sound, the host said it had something to do with the manager not wanting the sound inside the restaurant. So clearly . This is an issue why not cancel the whole movie night thing?? But no people are greedy. We felt very misled and should ve been refunded. The food sucked so bad like my presto had so much oil in it and it came out cold smh we asked for it to be returned after tasting it the waiter asked if we even tried it rather than what can I do and let me recommend something. He was more so upset and walked away with the food and we never seen him again. The host was more nice about it and then told us recommendations.. which should ve been done from the jump. lol very backwards service. Never again ..

As well as the chill vibe they have going inside, theres a nice garden style outdoor area to enjoy when the weather permits.

Came here for their s mores & cocktail movie night. Not what we excepted at all. The movie they said they were going to play online crazy, stupid, love didn t even play. They played mean girls instead. The movie was also playing with no sound. They had music instead. We got a table for four people . When we said we were ready four our s mores, we were charged 15 for additional s mores . If both a drink and the s mores are included with the purchase why would an additional one be needed? I think it was over priced for the experience especially since you don t even get to watch the movie fully since there is no sound. The cheese board wasn t anything special either especially for the price.

There is an inside area with seats at the bar and some booths. Outside there is a large outdoor seating area where people frequently have parties. They also have small bites. We recently got the queso and it was a great pick. Overall, I would highly recommend Heights and Co. Note- they have a dedicated parking lot but it can get crowded quickly.

First visit for me and the husband. Took a detour to avoid 5 oclock traffic and stopped in for drinks and lights bites. Seat yourself. All comfy curved booths. 2 other tables were sat and bar was empty. Server was nice and bartender was accommodating. It was happy hour so we order an Art Car draft for $1 off and a Basil Collins from happy hour cocktail menu. Beer was cold (a little heady). Collins was way sweeter than I like but bartender worked with me to try to make it right. We then shared a Bourbon Mint Ginger (cant remember the name). We made sure to ask for not sweet. It had a nice bite from Ginger and was refreshing. Still on the sweet side. Nice variety on menu. Ordered the steak salad (Side note: my #1 fav dish to order when I see on the menu anywhere) and sage fries. A well portioned Steak was cooked well (they didnt ask how wed like and forgot to tell them). It was a tiny pink but very tender. So it turned out good. The salad was dmall but very tasty by itself but overpowered the flavor of the steak. Fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Easy parking at 5pm. Sat ourselves immediately. Super cute outdoor patio but...Houston on July. Cute spot for casual weekend quick grab.

Drinks were just ok, but the food was awful. Got a small board on which the crackers were stale and prosciutto was not fresh. Steak frites were also pretty bad. If you do decide to give this place a try, definitely ask for an itemized receipt before closing out on the machine they bring over to the table for payment. After paying and leaving a 20% tip, we were informed that we were actually charged for another table s tab, and would have to run our cards again for the correct amount. When we asked for a receipt of the voided charge, they could not find one and said that we should be seeing a refund in 3 days but that if we didn t we d have to drive back there to get it taken care of. Given the lack of accountability and organization here, I expect this will be the case. We do not live close by, and their solution is highly inconvenient for us. Overall a disappointing experience on the food and service side.

Like many of the other reviews, drinks were good but food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the charcuterie with 3 cheeses ($9 per cheese or 3 for $25) and 3 meats ($9 per meat or 3 for $25), for a total of $50. This was the most pathetic charcuterie I ve ever seen- 3 tiny servings of cheese and meat, which they even gave us the wrong meat, thrown on two small wood platters. Steak frites were ok but some of the filet was tough and the sauce was overwhelming. Patio is nice and big and dog friendly. Terrible parking, so walk if able or park on the street. I d go back for happy hour drinks, in an Uber, but will skip the food.

I wanted to love this place, but it really fell short. We ordered the Caprese Bruschetta as an appetizer and found out they do not toast the bread which is very strange. This led to the bread being unpleasantly soaked with tomato juice which made it very difficult to pick up and eat. We thought maybe they just forgot to toast the bread so we asked, and the waitress let us know they don t toast the bread on purpose. My friend and I both ordered the steak frites, the presentation was off, the fries were soggy and felt under cooked, and on top of that the entire plate was covered in this gravy/sauce that overpowered the entire meal. The flavor was not bad, but it was just executed really poorly. The drink I ordered was very good, which aligns with the other reviews, but the food was just not done well. I was hoping to make this a regular neighborhood spot, but don t know if I ll be back. Maybe just for drinks.

$40 for soggy fries and two cocktails with a hint of alcohol lolz. Had to wave service over every time or we would have never been served.

Terrible service. I had to order our initial drinks twice. When they brought out the food I ask for waters and they never brought it or came back. After 20 minutes of watching them attend all the tables around us I finally had to waive someone down for assistance. I expressed my dissatisfaction and that no waters were provided. She still didn t bring them out and had to ask someone else to bring them. The green carpet was fringing and our dog began to chew on it causing him to choke a bit. Just not the best experience at all.

Update of last review. I was really hoping this place would be our local hangout. Unfortunately, the menu is lacking the basics for outdoor casual eating. A variety of appetizers, burgers, and salads would be GREAT! Management from Savoir could do so much to enhance the menu. Just need a good place to hang on a Houston afternoon-evening. Management. PLEASE change your menu. So many of us would love to see you last!

Food was ok. It didnt stand out to me. Also bartenders were too busy on their phones and not paying attention to customers standing at the bar waiting for service.

I really wanted to like this place more. The positives were the big covered patio, the renovations inside (changed from the previous restaurant) created a surprisingly nice ambience for the small space, and the cocktails & wine were good. Unfortunately, the food and service were not as enjoyable. The table was dirty & we had to ask twice for it to be cleaned. Initial contact from our server took a long time in spite of it not being that busy. The server also seemed to struggle to smile or show any personality at all. The queso tasted like canned cheese. The steak frites were disappointing. The fries were cooked well but the steak was WAY overcooked, very salty, & the gravy tasted oddly sweet. We want to support neighborhood businesses & may give it one more chance another time.

Came for brunch. We waited a long time for the food and it was very bland. No one was in the restaurant. They didn t ask how we wanted our eggs, so we each got undercooked sunny-side up on all dishes. Not sure how, but the mimosas were not good. Had almost no OJ and the sparkling was very flat. Perhaps a bottle from the prior night. May come back for lunch as there seem to be good reviews for lunch and drinks. Would not recommend brunch at all.

Wanted to like this place more. The food was good but expensive for what it was. The patio outside was very loud (from the street noise, as there is nothing to really buffer the traffic noise, and from other guests who were extremely loud). Id recommend trying it for drinks inside.

Fun little place. The drinks are really good but they server took a long time to get our order. The inside is very small. The patio is bigger but it was too hot to sit outside. I went with my sister and we had the caipirinha and the salted watermelon cocktails. The salted watermelon was soooo good and very refreshing. Next time I m getting that one. The caipirinha was good too but not as good as the salted watermelon. For lunch we had the steak and fries and the pork schnitzel. Both entrees were really good. The steak comes with a corn pepper sauce and it s so good. The pork schnitzel comes with spaetzle, which are like little dumplings made out of eggs ( I loved it ) Overall good food and drinks but service could be better.

The service was great. The patio is a really nice spot to hang out. The cocktails appear to be premixed and the drinks we had (the gin and tonic and the spritzer) were overdone - big, sharp tastes without any subtlety (especially the thyme in the gin and tonic). The menu is limited, which isn t a terrible thing but the brisket grilled cheese I had was dry and not much cheese considering its part of the name.

This place has potential! The inside needs work though. White walls, white ceiling and white LED lights make for a very sterile hospital-like feel, not so much a welcoming trendy bar. The easy fix is warmer light bulbs and at least a cool mural or something on one of the walls. Anything but white on white on white, it just doesn t give the vibe that I think this place is going for. Other than that, drinks were pretty good, and although it was too hot to sit outside, I can see the patio being a nice hang out spot in the fall.

I ordered the burger and it was not very good. Made me a little nauseous because of all the butter and grease. Also, the sauce that its covered in was also very bad and tasted too much of onion and beef broth. Cool patio spot but food needs more work. Something bright, fresh, acidic, colorful on the menu would go a long way!

I had a good time at the Heights & Co but I d think twice before coming back. They have a nice patio outside and staff was very friendly. I had the artichoke dip with chips which was quite good. They have creative cocktails although not very strong so I felt they were overpriced. I also missed the classic old fashioned which wasn t on the menu, and the beer selection is limited with drafts priced at $9!
