We recently held our sons wedding rehearsal dinner at Messina Hoff Winery, and it was an absolute dream. Living out of state, I was initially concerned about planning such an important event from afar, but Leslie, the event manager, made the entire process incredibly easy. She was so kind and took care of everything with such care and precision that I knew we were in great hands. Throughout the planning process, Leslie kept in constant communication with us, even sending pictures to ensure every detail was exactly as we envisioned. Her dedication and attention to detail made it clear that she genuinely cared about making the evening perfect. On the night of the event, Leslie was there working for us the entire evening, and the staff was exceptional, especially Lisa, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The evening was flawless, and we couldnt have asked for a better experience. If youre considering a venue for a special event, I wholeheartedly recommend Messina Hoff Winery.

Excellent experience! Leslie and her team presented the best small wedding venue possible. With 26 attendees, she ensured our guests were treated with the utmost attention. The wine selection is superb and the waitresses kept the drink supplied throughout the wedding. I think this was our best choice and Messina Hof will not let you down.

We did the wine tasting and such a fun time! They let you make all of your own selections or they have groupings for the less adventurous. I didn t want to make any choices, so stuck with the reserve collection. I tried five very nice wines. Our server was very attentive, even though it was so busy. She made the experience great. Definitely going to have to come back and try the slushy drink. That seemed like a perfect solution to the hot weather! They definitely remember their roots and give back to help future Aggies. So happy for them to be so successful.

Boasts award level wine experiences. The service was stellar but it was so quiet we felt like we were in a library. You sit at high top tables, in a tiny corner on the first level. We were the only visitors this afternoon and only stayed for one glass of white. It wasn t memorable.

Always a great experience at Messina Hof! Of course, that s not a surprise given the great staff at this Grapevine winery. Let s start with Dan. More than likely you re going to find this friendly fellow working the front counter. Cheerful, helpful, knowledgeable, and engaging, he is sure to make your wine selection experience a positive one! Then there is Taylor. Often she is out of sight making the delicious food options you ll find on their menu. If fate leans in your favor, she may be the one who brings your order to your table. Be sure to engage in conversation for just a minute or two. What a fascinating person! Third on my list is Cara. You ll have to look far and wide to find someone whose default position is more customer forward than her. When you add to that her natural ability to communicate on just about any topic, how can your visit not be memorable if she is around! Finally, there is Addie. Often you ll see her work long before you talk to her. Her BEAUTIFUL handwriting can often be found on the chalkboards announcing many of the upcoming events at this location. And if that isn t enough (spoiler alert), this person is, once again, all about making the customers feel comfortable. If she can make something happen to make your visit a happy one, that s exactly what she s going to do! Clearly the management team at Messina Hof knows how to hire! I cannot recommend enough heading on over to this Main Street location when you want to have some me time with family or friends or even by yourself if a little self reflection is what you need!

We held our dog rescues annual auction fundraiser at Messina Hof recently. The planning and execution of the event, in working with the venue, was flawless. Leslie, their event coordinator, was easy to communicate with and great to work with. She was present for our event - something other venues have not included. Her team was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and well prepared. In the past, we have always had challenges with venues, usually due to poor communication or poor service the day of the event. This includes other wineries in the area and several different hotels. Our poor experiences with others made this event stand out to us as a remarkably positive experience. We had a great event and hope to work with this awesome team in the future!

Last night was date night with the husband. We decided to book our first murder mystery dinner with Messina! I gotta say, we were very happy. It was murder me im Irish theme. One, the building is in historic grapevine and is just beautiful. I love the historic homes. I m not a huge alcohol drinker, so I was BEYOND estática when they had a non-alcoholic drink for me. It was very sweet (think welche s grape juice- sparkling), and lasted the night. Our dinner was upstairs in a private area. Everybody who came was dressed up, and ready to participate, which is always a bonus. There was a large crowd. Maybe 30 people? The upstairs isn t large. So if felt like more. The dinner isteself is a little pricey ($200 for 2 people), but worth it in my option. They had decorated for the night, served us 3 courses, and it seemed like it was an open wine bar? Our servers were prompt, the dinner stayed on schedule, and the food was honestly delicious. It might look like small portions, but it fills you up fast. Our murder host was fabulous and upbeat. Loud. At the end of the night, I was the only one to solve the murder! But they had awards for best dressed, and best actor. Highly recommend

This place is a definite stop when visiting historic Grapevine. I was solo today just cruising historic downtown when it was suggested that I go to Mesina Hof. Well, it did not disappoint!! Warm surroundings and comfortable for a solo traveler. Missy helped pick a custom tasting and WOW I LOVED it. She was sweet, patient & knowledgeable! Absolutely lovely local tasting room of one of my favorite Texan vineyards! Cara made our visit feel particularly special curating two, unique wine flights for my boyfriend and I that made us feel like our own professional private tasting experience! She was incredibly knowledgeable about everything on the list which was also one of the more extensive lists I ve seen at any of the local vineyards or tasting rooms. Definitely a must-do on any Grapevine Main St wine tour especially if Cara is there!

Ashleigh and Leslie were absolutely phenomenal hosts for our wedding 12/22/23. Services and pricing were up front, honest, and competitive. All correspondence was prompt and valuable from the beginning stages of booking to follow-ups afterward. We are SO glad we chose your amazing venue for our Christmas wedding. We booked the upstairs, including the balcony area, for 60 guests but our actual attendance was only 41. They provided linens and all dining ware. Their team cut our cake and even packaged the top layer for us. The light apps charcuterie-style spread was not only elegant, but also delicious. The wine, tea, and sparkling grape juice were delicious as well. We were able to stream our playlist to the speaker system and use their projector for our slideshow. They set up and flipped the rooms for the ceremony and reception. Leslie made sure the Bride and everyone else were well cared for and had all needs met. All of the staff were friendly and warm. And of course the LOCATION was perfect for our Christmas-inspired wedding. I highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

Well, I have to admit, what this place lacks in service, it also has somehow survived. The wine was lackluster in taste. The staff was not very knowledgeable about the wine either. I bought a taste flight that took forever to get filled. For a winery in Grapevine, TX, this should not be your first stop. Maybe make it a middle visit so it doesnt leave you feeling empty.

Grapevine location is my favorite! Located in a 2 story historic building with a balcony over looking Main Street! Wide variety of quality Texas wines! Specials events like a Mystery dinner theater! We did a tasting with 6 people a few hours before closing, and it was fantastic. Mark was very cordial when we arrived, and Nathan gave a wonderful history lesson and tour. Nathans personality and charm was the icing on the cake to this leg of my bachelorette party. If you want to finally learn how to taste wine like the pros, Nathan is the guy you want. Where to begin. It was our first visit (normally go to Fredericksburg). Went to the Main Street tasting room. First impressions: dated, dusty, Italian grandma s house, cluttered with oversized-for-the-space wine barrel tables and bar stools. Service felt very rushed/pushy. The man didn t really care to explain anything even after being told we are first time visitors. PERFECT opportunity to lure us in and possibly snag a membership and sell wine. But no, He was very loud and doing multiple things at one time. With My wife and I standing there to see what we wanted to do the man cuts me off to yell directions at people across the room then looks back at me like I should be ready to order. I had to drag menu information out of him to even begin ordering. The tasting tokens are a joke. Very odd system. When you walk around and through the snake trails of bar stools (clutter) up to the counter they request you sit the token down first THEN they take it. The one time i forgot and tried handing the man the token he said . Oh no don t do that, put it down first then I ll take it. I guess directly handing it to them is unheard of. No explanation or anything. You also stand at the counter a while just for them to aggressively yell at the waiting patrons, if you re doing a tasting then walk over to this side and get it. Classy. Everyone seemed unorganized. Definitely no leadership. Staff walking around but seemed to be doing nothing really. One woman was filling up pitchers with sink water behind the bar and taking to tables. no ice, no filtered water. Just room temp bar sink water. Classy. What went from my wife and I just wanting to try new wine turned into me observing the chaos around us. There s no warmth. Or the want for you to be there. Everything is very robotic. Order, drink, don t make eye contact, leave. There s no one trying to be personable and talk about the wines you re tasting/drinking. The place just isn t for us so we ll walk on by next time we come with a group. Take notes from Landon- immediately greeted, same crowd amount and still had great staff, actively informative of each wine, and manager talked to us and others for a while and had great laughs. That s why we spent $609 and a membership at Landon.

The wine was great! The reason for two stars was the service and food. We ordered a flat bread pizza, which took close to 30 minutes. When we got it, it was cold and very small. So disappointing! We were the only two people in the winery, so it shouldn t have taken 30 minutes. I would say grab a bottle to go, but don t order food or expect much from the service.

I was at the winery as a vendor. I was here last year. It has the same atmosphere but less people. The wines were great so did the service. The only i wish it could fix is the elevator. Its very sensitive and quick to shut the door. The door was trying to shut few times on me when im in between. I wish they build a short ramp at the dock rather than using the side door.

Weve been members here for several years. Very disappointed in the table service. We did not know about the change and sat ourselves. My husband was told he couldnt order at the counter. We were then ignored for over 20 minutes while other tables were served. Then the hostess came over and told us we would have to move. We watched the exact same thing happen to another couple later. I liked tipping at the bar and felt it was optional. Now I am feeling obliged to tip for the same glass of wine I used to get myself. Canceling our membership.

If you want a great experience while visiting Messina Hof, ask for Nico when you go to their tasting room in Grapevine. He was so attentive and gave me his personal favorites on the extensive wine list (even though I am a member, I always like to try new things). I cannot say enough good things about Nico - I will definitely be back to see him!

This place used to very enjoyable. The wine tastings had tokens and you could walk up to the bar at your leisure for another glass. This also encouraged a more social atmosphere. Can t say the new table side service is the best. The place really isn t set up for table side. The staff constantly forgot what we had ordered and was slow. One table next to us also commented there are better places for table side service for wine. I hope they get the formula right and get better. Can t say this will be my next stop in Grapevine.

Our waiter Dylan at the restaurant was very knowledgeable about the wines and gave great food recommendations. The service was great, the atmosphere was sophisticated, and the food was delightful. I would highly recommend any couple or group to check out the Vintage house on their next stop by the best winery in Texas.

We had our wedding reception at Messina Hof on May 31, 2022. Tina was AMAZING! She made sure that everything was perfect! There was always food in the tables! They was always wine at the bar! She took care of everything single detail to make sure everything was perfect and it was!! The salon was beautiful! Guest loved the salon! Loved the food! Loved the wine! And we had a great time!!

We have a group (3 couples) that are members. We go at least once a month. Its a great way to get together. Tonight (May 18th) was a wine pick-up night for members. 2 hours of free wine. We have had the opportunity to serve as DJ for several weddings at Messina Hof Grapevine Winery. As a vendor, we get the rare opportunity to experience events behind the scenes . At MH, the staff, the management, and the venue itself function seamlessly to provide the ultimate wedding experience. Andrea, the venue event coordinator, does not stop moving all night. She will do whatever it takes to ensure the timeline runs smoothly. The staff is friendly and takes complete care of every detail. The venue is so beautiful and in a perfect location in the heart of Grapevine. (Balcony pics with Main Street as a backdrop are so iconic!) I would recommend, without hesitation, this venue to anyone who wants a unique, intimate setting for their big occasion.

The wine was good and so was the charcuterie board however the 2 girls at the bar were extremely rude. This was our first time visiting, the girl at the bar called Sam Douglas greeted us but went on about her business eating and drinking a sonic drink. Me and my husband didnt not know if we were to seat our selves or wait. I approached the bar and asked her my self. She said you can sit where you want but order at bar. I asked her if she could provide me with information on the cheeses on the board and she said whatever we have and was not helpful at all. When asked if there were any soft cheeses she was rude again and said I dont know. Mind you the charcuterie board is $24 so I would like to know whats coming on my board. My husband does not drink wine so asked if there was anything else. She pointed to a water machine and said thats all we have. She really made me feel like a second class citizen. I do not like that when you ask for a tasting you have to take a token once at a time to the bar. On my 2nd tasting, Sam asked me to bring my empty wine glass to the bar to keep my table clean! Mind you their tastings are not cheap and more expensive than in the area!! Once I was done I took my finished charcuterie board and empty wine glasses to the bar and did her job for her. When I said I didnt know if I needed to bring my dirty plates and finished charcuterie board as I was required to bring my dirty glasses to the bar, she did not say anything! I told her she was very rude, her colleague Payton Newton went on to say she heard you!. If the owner is reading this please evaluate their customer service skills. It is definitely a cute little place but in order to justify the prices you are charging, please have happy and willing to work employees there! Both girls made me feel like I was bothering them everytime I went to the bar as they were deep in conversation everytime I went for my tasting. Lord knows its hard to find employees at this time but we have to draw the line somewhere! Please go else where!

Dont make reservations for their events during this COVID epidemic unless you are ready to simply throw that money away if something happens. Bought 4 tickets for me and my daughter to the Harvest Festival. One of my daughters children tested positive, therefore my daughter cannot attend. I called the winery and they said there were no exceptions to the no refund policy. Just FYI... UPDATE: The winery actually called me back and apologized and refunded my money. The event was well organized and lots of fun. I highly recommend activities at this winery.
