Service was absolutely amazing! Arnold was our server and he definitely goes above and beyond for his patrons. Food was really good, Husband and I shared a Calzone and we still had leftovers. My Dad had a seafood salad and I was shocked at the amount of seafood that topped it, let alone the portion of greens. Even though the restaurant was busy/crowded it was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed our experience.

Appears to be family owned: food was fresh-it took awhile to get food but when it came, I was very pleased. Hostess was proficient and not only heard my order but made sure chef honored my request I prefer meals with light sauce or sauce on the side which often seems to be an issue in lesser restaurants. Restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was family friendly.

I came to have lunch with my husband last week here, and the food was amazing. We even got to try a new pork chop dish they were going to add to the menu. It was delicious and amazing. The chef even came out and asked us what we thought, and we said it was excellent. Our waiter arnold was amazing as well. I have found my new spot to eat at Galveston.

Sweet older lady sat us and a kind older gentleman took our orders and walked me through my options for GF since I have Celiac disease. He warned me about what they could modify and what could possibly have cross contamination. We ordered Blackened chicken Alfredo on GF pasta and Half BBQ chicken and half meat lovers GF pizza. They were both delicious but the Alfredo was absolutely fantastic! Prices were affordable and service was awesome. Im very sensitive and didnt get sick at all!! We chose not to do gelato since it was made where the pizza dough was also made so cross contamination was high likelihood. Highly recommend Marios! I had the best Chicken Piccata ever. My wife had the salmon w/ penne pasta w/ lemon butter sauce. The salmon was grilled well & it was so delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and not overcooked. Arnold is our go to guy for wait staff. He is pleasant, professional, and perfect. We love getting points with GRG. Stopped by to visit Galveston after Johnson Space Center. The pizzas looked really good on the menu so that was a factor in our decision to stop for dinner. My wife and I had the Mediterranean salad as a starter. It was tasty and fresh. A nice size to share for two people as an appetizer. We then had the Joey deep dish pizza for dinner. That was delicious also. Our friends had spaghetti and also split a hand tossed made to order pizza. They enjoyed their dinner also. I believe Bruce was our waiter, he was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. Parking: They have a parking lot right across the street for probably 30-40 vehicles.

For Americans, this may be a very good thing. They love everything European. But in fact, the food here is slightly above average for Italian food. Based on reviews, we ordered Viva Italy and pizza, which was mediocre. Sweets, lime cake and canolli, are not worth it at all.

Hear me out. This may have been the best meal of my entire life (custom pasta, angel hair, lemon butter sauce, shrimp) but the service was less than mid. My friends went upstairs because there was no sign that it was closed and the managers and servers were very unkind about it. The entire meal they stared at us and made us very uncomfortable. Wish I could love this place.

2nd time in Galveston, and based on the reviews we decided to try Marios. I ordered the Sausage Roll calzone. When it arrived at the table it looked and smelled amazing. It was already cut into 2 pieces with the cheese oozing out. Once I cut into it, thats when the surprise came. The Sausage was thinly sliced sausage pieces. Wasnt expecting that from an Italian restaurant, sausage had no flavor.

Very happy we found this place! Excellent service and we felt very welcomed here. We ordered chicken parm and cheese pizza. Kids loved their cheese pizza and they are super picky eaters so thats saying alot about the quality of pizza. After dinner we got pistachio gelato. So good! We will be back to try other dishes.

The Viva Italy is absolutely delicious my wife ordered well with that. I on the other hand screwed myself by ordering the most terrible dish I have ever had, the seafood fettuccine Alfredo. Talk about disappointed I have never eaten anything and loathed it so much. The shrimp tasted great except the whole digging them out of alfredo sauce and peeling tails off. The crayfish had a terrible muted taste with a more than rubber feel I my mouth. The crab that was put in top felt like they brought it out of a fridge and they explained it was because the crab would fall apart if cooked in the sauce. As for the mozzarella sticks appetizer it was fantastic perfectly made. Honestly I just felt let down for the price. Thanks for at least making my wifes day.

There was a moment where my dish came out incorrect, but Matthew handled the situation with grace and professionalism. He immediately rectified the mistake and ensured that I received the correct dish in a timely manner. Not only was Matthew efficient and attentive, but he also had a great sense of humor. I had a lighthearted conversation with his manager, praising Matthew for his exceptional service. I even jokingly mentioned to Matthew that I was trying to get him fired, which he said well thats unfortunate Its clear that Matthew takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about providing a positive dining experience for his customers. His exceptional service truly set the tone for a memorable evening at Marios. We were incredibly impressed by his professionalism and dedication to ensuring that we had a fantastic meal. The experience was more of a three star experience, but some of that is due to the renovations so I settled on a four star. It wasnt busy and we were seated promptly. Sat in our seats about ten minutes before we had a server show up for drinks or appetizers. Knew what we wanted so placed the whole order at once. Pizza and a side salad, pretty basic order. Salad got left behind, but that was corrected. The pizza tasted great, but it either sat under a heat lamp and got condensation or was placed on a wet pan, the only word that comes to mind is damp. It was edible and still delicious, but the bread texture left me wanting something better. The whole time Im eating I kept thinking the view is nice, but it would be great if theyd bother to clean the big drops of dirt off the outside window. I understand the construction, but I feel like that still could have been helped. These things are the difference between ok dining and great dining. If I wanted lack luster experience I could have stayed home and fixed a frozen pizza for a lot less. Ill try again after the construction is done, maybe have a calzone.

I placed a carryout order by phone. Person at the restaurant was helpful. We got an XL pepperoni hand tossed pizza and a couple of chicken and fettuccine alfredo orders. Food was delicious. We also had a slice of triple chocolate cake and the Italian cream cake. We dont like super sweet icing on our cakes, so these were not our favorite. Could be a little more moist. The waitress, Gabrielle, was incompetent. We had to ask repeatedly for items. The food was delicious but came out at various times. We got overcharged on drinks. The manager wouldnt do anything about our issues. He was very rude to my elderly mother. We were charged a 20% tip for 6 adults and 2 babies because they automatically charge for parties of 8. My husband and I were in galveston for a couple days from Louisiana and wanted to try Marios for the first time. Before we were done with our food we were making plans to leave early one Saturday morning with the rest of the family in tow to come to galveston just to eat here. The food was amazing and portions as well. Our server Jenna was the perfect fit for us. We loved the atmosphere and it was so comfortable. You could tell they had regulars that go there as well. We stayed in Galveston for our family vacation and decided to eat here last minute for date night on my husbands birthday. Unfortunately we made it in a little closer to closing than we intended, but everyone was still friendly and accommodating. Mr. Peter gave us the best experience from the moment he greeted us. I had out of this world lasagna with little meatballs in it! Our server Alec was world class as well with his fluency in Spanish made ordering so much easier for my husband who is from Colombia and still spoke fluent English to me as well. It was top notch everything but his service made the trip to this restaurant worth every single penny we paid! It seems that you have racial preferences, I am not the only one who has apparently had this problem, you should not come to this place. I had an unfortunate meeting in this restaurant, I was with some co-workers accompanying them to lunch, I brought my own lunch in a small container and I was eating it, my colleagues ordered their food. Everything was going well but apparently the waiter was bothered by this, the lady from the host stand approaches me and tells me that food is not allowed, which makes me understand that it has to be food that is sold in this place. What a pity this event, they didn t make me feel very well and I was forced to leave the place. Bad performance on the part of the work team of this restaurant. I will not step on the floor of this place again, I don t think that if people see how they treat a person or a future client they will come to a place like that. Being Italian (born and raised), the food quality was bland at best. We ordered two different pizzas, both lacked seasoning and depth of flavor, so much so that even my young children pointed it out. The appetizer was mediocre at best. In addition, the greeter (elderly lady at the front) was cold and stoic. No sense of true Italian warmth or passion. Deeply disappointed and am embarrassed that this sadly represents Italian food/culture to the Galveston community. Not worth your time and money.

First time here coming from Dallas, I would drive back here just to eat again. Fresh home made delicious food. The pizza was overwhelming with favor. THE BEST GLUTEN FREE PASTA EVER!!!!!! - Celiac The waiters are extremely knowledgeable about celiac disease and very accommodating, we tried the gluten free pizza as well as the gluten free lobster mac and cheese which was absolutely delicious, the food tasted so good I was questioning wether it was gluten free or not but we were reassured both dishes were and my family didn t have a reaction. This is probably by Far, the best Italian food I have ever had. Being a Food Snob born, raised in New Orleans- I rarely find great food. Truly great tasting food except for restaurants back home, known for making some of the best tasting food in the World. Marios continues to delight the palate with its well seasoned Italian fare. The Sauces are creamy- filled with flavor! The Macho Appetizer (a Italian version of Nachos) totally blew me away! Our waiter Peter- AWESOME! He treats his guests as we are the only customers. Gabrielle is a phenomenal employee with a ton of enthusiasm that made up for a lot of potential negavtive experience. Food took an hour and the brunch part was dried out. :( We never saw a manager , our server just apologized but didnt tell us why it was an hour delay. They dont take reservations even for a party of 10, so had a bit of a wait. The hostess told me its usually easier before 5:30pm. That said, the food and service was amazing! No one in our group had one complaint and if they left hungry, it was their own fault! Will definitely be back.

AMAZING!! Service, honestly the nicest people in Galveston. So welcoming and friendly. Also, dog friendly on the patio! The food was excellent coming from an Italian it was perfect. The salmon was gone is 2 minutes the shrimp perfect. The pasta so light I finished my whole plate (which I never do anywhere). The Gelato lemon crunch, well it just adds to the best experience in town. Thank you!

Lasagna was very delicious and their Pizza Supreme, we added jalapenos to pizza and was delicious. I was taking a picture of the turtle fountain and that Rubber Duckie with shades photo bombed that picture. , there is seating outside the restaurant. There is sometimes waiting. Went for the first time on a Wednesday in May 2024 around 1pm. We all really enjoyed our experience. Location: not far from the ferry, right as you get on the Seawall. Sooo glad they have an actual parking lot! Private lot, only for customers. Atmosphere: large, fairly open. Everything looked clean and well lit. Service: friendly (hostess & waiter). Our waiter was new but very nice and tried his best. He was able to describe menu items and make recommendations. Food: fried ravioli, dips, alfredo, spaghetti & meatballs, lasagna, pizza, picatta, tortellini, chicken dishes, and many other pasta dishes. Gelato and cakes. Prices: lunch specials monday-friday 11a-2p $12 fettuccine or spaghetti, salads, and subs ; $10 pizza. appetizers range $6-18. Pizzas $18-25 for 12: $20-27 for large 14 and $23-30 for x-large 16. Calzones $15-19. Sandwiches $13-15. Pastas $15+. Overall, a good place to eat! We ordered the bacon spinach tortellini and lobster fettuccine. The tortellini was very creamy with a parmesan sauce. The fettuccine had plenty of lobster in it but the sauce needed salt. We also got the fried ravioli- so good dipped in alfredo sauce! Their Gelato was very creamy and soft- recommended the raspberry!

We went there, because I wanted some good ol Chicken Alfredo and was not disappointed. Our server (Nico) was very nice, shared a few stories and very helpful. Great atmosphere , and the display of desserts were very appealing. I definitely recommend the fried cheese ravioli. It was crispy, crunchy, cheesy, and a nice cheese pull. Definitely going again.

I think we expected a slightly fancier setting, but overall great experience. We should have gone with the pizza because the pasta selection was good but not amazing. The lobster fettuccini was more of a lobster bisque with noddles and the gnocchi was very oily (it was delicious we just could not get close to finishing it). The gluten free penne with meat sauce was the best portion. Going for pizza next time for sure! Gelato was a nice ending touch.
