There are several bars in this area. The nightlife on the island has changed since Ike. There are shops that offer random items and clothing. Of course, it varies restaurants and hotels.

Beautiful Architecture but the open smoking everywhere gets old fast. We did enjoy the three level indoor mall and the Greetings from Galveston wall was fun to take photos. Most shops seem to sell prepackaged goods from elsewhere though.

Definitely one of the prettiest little seaports / beach towns I ve seen. The place is charming and reeks of history. It can be a bit challenging to find parking over the weekend, but on a week day, you should be fine. If you re in Galveston, you must go downtown, and if you like history/seaports, then visit, even if you re in the Houston or Texas city area. It s quaint and reeks of charm and history

It s always a pleasure to visit this place! Going back to Galveston is a plan we make every month. We live in Houston, so a one-hour trip to enjoy this beauty monthly and see how it changes in every season is simply something that makes us value the opportunity to live so close! We love Galveston!

Wayne has played multiple events for our nonprofit agency during receptions and dinner. His music is perfect to set a peaceful and enchanting mood for the evening. Everyone who has heard him loves his music. He is very self-sufficient for set up just before the event, which is always a blessing to event coordinators. Id have used Wayne for my daughters wedding if shed stayed in the country for it. I highly recommend him! Very professional and his music is a blessing.

Went to the Shark Shack to grab a bite and a drink. We got the Burger just to split between 2 people but it was so good I wished we hadn t shared it. The meat for the hamburger is not the frozen patty like some places! Plus, unlike other places where you don t have a choice of how it s cooked, you can order it the way you like. It came out perfectly cooked and was the best burger I ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun and the employees are great. Lastly, we sat and ate at the bar and the bartender as did many others. But the bartender did not forget about you. She never acted rushed and as if she didn t have time to talk to you. She smiled the whole time she was working and engaging with us and other customers as well as the rest of the employees. Everything felt cohesive. I know this a lot for a small restaurant and bar but when you find a hidden gem you just want others to know. I will be going back next time I m in Galveston.
