I worked with Kazi last year. I chose them because of all the good reviews but I was very disappointed. Im going to have to hire another lawyer to fix this firms rushed work. Forgot/ignored important information after several calls/emails with the information repeated. Tried to create the completely wrong document from the original request. Numerous major clerical errors. In the end, I just had them send the notary to avoid losing my money before their deadline. Edit: Thank you for the reply. I have it in writing that there is a 6 month deadline from when a file is opened. This is exactly the type of contradictory communication I was working with. Thank you for the prime example. Just as helpful as the services that were provided.

Nyla and her whole team were exceptional from the start! My wife and I finally decided it was time to get our wills/estate planning done and even though its hard stuff to talk about, we are so glad its done and we dont have to worry about it anymore. One thing that really stood out, was the above and beyond service and respect we felt from Nylas team. Initially, when they sent us the first forms to fill out, they were standard forms, and where it asked for names, it said Husband and Wife. Since the husband part doesnt apply to us, we asked if it was possible to get the form updated, so we felt more comfortable. And you know what, they absolutely updated it for us! Nyla is so welcoming, kind and knowledgable and answered all of our questions in a way that non-legal people like us, could understand. She made the whole process easy as could be. She even provided a link for a mobile notary that would come to our house (with 2 witnesses, as required by law), to get everything signed. I recommend Kazi Law Firm to anyone needing wills, trusts, estate planning, etc, 100%!!!

Nyla Kazi is extremely knowledgeable about will estate plan development, and answered all of our questions. She was also extremely professional when raised unique questions to her - my husband and I both had different needs we wished to fulfill. Most importantly, I wanted an Islamic Will to respect my religion and how I wanted my assets to be documented/divided but still meet Texas Law. Nyla was one of the only lawyers I could find that was able to do this for me - this is a very niche area to be very knowledge about, and she was courteous to my needs. She completed things in a timely manner, and I really do appreciate the patience she had for us when we took over a year to think through how we wanted our wishes carried out as we were working with two sides of the family. When I contacted her a year later, she was able to pick up where we left off, and took our case seriously when we were ready. Were a military family and it just so happens I decided to take advantage of my legal assistance benefit with my job. This benefit allowed me to consult with the Kazi Law Firm about a trust to protect our family. I wasnt educated about this type of protection growing up so Im finally getting to it now (its never too late!). This was our first time creating a Living Trust and we had no clue of what we were doing. I called to get a price for a Service I am interested in your company providing. The young lady who answered my call informed me that it would be $200 for the first 20 minutes to speak to an attorney. I asked her how much it would cost to start a LLC and she informed me that I would have to ask a lawyer. So to be clear it cost $200 to get a price on what you would charge to provide a service or product. This is probable genius. You want the client that is interviewing you to pay you no matter if you are hired or not. Outstanding!!! I do not think it is fair for me to rate low due to them not providing a service for me. I am just amazed that they want $200 to tell me if they do or do not provide that service and at what cost to the customer (me).

As part of my company benefit package, I included the legal option. They gave me a list of participating lawyers. I started but never finished my estate planning with 3 different firms on the list. I never finished with the others because I felt that they were just going through the motions, doing as little as they had to do. Their documents looked like canned documents that I could find on my own with an internet search. They also seemed to be looking at my needs as a side job that they could use to fill in dead time in their schedules. I decided to give it another shot so I went down the list focusing deeper on reviews. The Kazi firm stood out when I compared reviews (like this one). I was never one to put much stock in too good to be true reviews and compared to the other firms they had a lot. I keyed in on each firms negative to middle of the road reviews and saw that the Kazi firm really didnt have any. I called this firm to help with my Property Tax protest. I am not sure how their call routing system is setup but when you call their phone number it goes to someone who is simply taking your personal information only to tell you that they are not taking any new cases.
