Sat up front for over 5mins waiting for a server to acknowledge our party was waiting for a table. Once they finally acknowledged us, they asked us how many and proceeded to go clean other tables and once cleaned never came back to us. Disappointing as I was looking to try this place for the first time.

I been here before about a year ago. And it was awesome! I went last weekend and we were very disappointed. The catfish lacked flavor. The nachos only had beans, guac, and sour cream. And the beans were salty. We got some drinks, didnt finish them. And the tab was really high for something I couldve made at home for a quarter of the price. And significantly better! We more than likely wont be back! Which is unfortunate because we loved it the first time.

Whats supposed to be a sports bar is nothing like that. Half the staff does not know how to work the TVs and the ones who do have no desire to change the TVs. They dont want to interrupt their shows even though you are the customer. Most of the time you have to go-to the bar to get a drink because the wait staff is in the corner talking.

Would give zero if I could. Stopped in today with a party of 5. The manager Jaelyn was unhappy because we asked to have 2 tables put together since they weren t busy and it would allow us more elbow room than a four top. We Arrived prior to 3 oclock but wasn t waited on until after 3. When placing our order we were told since it was after 3 that the lunch prices weren t in effect any longer. When the waitress mentioned this to the manager, Jaelyn came over and told us in a condescending tone that the computer automatically charges the higher price since the order was entered after 3 o clock. I inquired as to why we should be penalized because we were not waited on until almost 3:10. She said there was no way to override the prices. Another issue was when we asked to have 2 potatoes with crawfish instead of a potato and corn. We were told there was no way to sub on specials. I asked if they could just ask the cook to put in a second potato and keep the corn and was told again in a condescending tone that it wasn t possible. We had a person in our party that also works in the service/restaurant industry who was absolutely appalled at the way the manager handled the situation. Unfortunately due to their lack of professionalism and in particular the manager s attitude towards our party, we decided to take our business elsewhere.

In a good location off Bluebonnet Circle near TCU. Has had many iterations in the near 20years I ve been in Fort Worth. Drinks are cold and the cocktails are creative. Haven t had a lot of food, so I can t speak to that. It s an easy place to stop and chill on the covered patio.

Highly recommend you give The Purple Frog a visit. I usually meet friends here for happy hour after a long week. I have been here countless amounts of times. Very disappointed in the food quality. Food came out looking burnt. Now its either burnt or they using old oil, cause the other picture of the exact same meal, does not look like the one I got. The fries were really good BUT I had some sort of plastic partial in my food. Thought it was a hair but it was hard. I did let the manager know she took care of the bill but did not apologize for the bad food. I guess she dont care. Wont be back. You dont need my Business anyway

I had the Avocado chicken wrap, she had the fish and chips. Neither of us liked our food. Service was horrible and party of 30 and everyone agreed it felt like the waiter was rushing us out! The Purple Frog in Fort Worth,Texas is a sports bar that has a variety of food and drinks to offer for the whole family to enjoy. I stumbled upon it while driving and went inside to order their Fish & Chips, my favorite food. The waitress was gracious and friendly though busy serving the 5 customers scattered in the bar, lounge and enclosed patio. When our order was finished i thought it was waffle fries with 3 small chicken wings on the side. The coleslow and tartar sauce were on a small plastic cup. I guess i am used to the size of the original British food. For $15, i thought it was still a fair deal. My order was to go and after reaching home, both fish and fries were no longer crispy, but the taste was still there. Later, i will update and compare the size, taste, and price difference of 3 different Fish & Chips in the area.

Atmosphere was fine for a football game. Service was horrid didn t get food I ordered ordered California burger which was never received and order chilled shrimp which were legitimately hot shrimp with ice put on top. Ordered coconut shrimp didn t come with correct sauce. Kids food came fast so that was nice. The place seemed to lack someone on expo position because everything came out at different times. Server blamed kitchen for burger not coming out but to be honest you should know what your table ordered and notice something didn t come out prior to bringing the bill and having to be reminded. This was by far worst experience I ve had in the metroplex in years

We went for Sunday brunch. The service was slow, from taking our order, getting drinks, and receiving our food. Our server would not even smile. A friend ordered hash browns, she received them in the form of hash browns, and our friend next to her received another version of hash browns. While I do wish there were more fans outside, there were plenty of TCU fan-fare. We came for the brews & finger foods, but ended up ordering the Mac Attack. Our attentive server, Gilbert, explained the brand new menu. We were very happy with the crispy bacon wrapped decently spicy jalapeños. I couldn t resist taking more & more bites of the well constituted queso doused Mac Attack entree. We both agreed that the more we ate it the MORE we enjoyed it. Which is why there are no pictures. It is good to go here and see familiar wait staff and feel welcome. The happy hour drinks are on point. The atmosphere during game nights is collegial and fun. Everyone was family. The fried mushrooms were tasty. The Philly cheese steak was missing something. Serving sizes were large. I subbed asparagus for French fries and was not disappointed. Fish was good.

Myself and the Wife came in for our grandsons 17th Birthday dinner, this was our first time here the service was outstanding we both ordered hamburgers with fries/onion rings it was outstanding the menu had something for everyone the waitress/waiter was both professional,friendly and very respectful before we finished eating the place had filled up with mostly college aged patrons there was a live band playing as well, in our 60s we enjoyed being in the mix with that age group and we will definitely be BACK!!!

Loaded potato was very small had two pieces of string brisket folded into a U shape setting on top of the potato which also had cheese and a dot of sour cream,the Bbq sauce came on the side tasted like kraft brand sauce ,when I asked for green onions ( which it said on the menu it came with) the waitress said oh you have to come early for those ,it was 4pm in the afternoon lol so dont expect green onions on your potato. And after our chips and queso came out (which were a mix of broken chips two different kinds really thin and really thick white and yellow chips and queso which came in a small plastic portion cup which tasted like white cheez whiz from the jar ,but it was good,but the salsa I think they actually gave us marinara sauce Im not sure but I have never had salsa taste like that .)Our waitress asked if we are ready for a ticket we told her we were going to order food as well as our appetizer,my husband ordered blackened chicken sandwich which wasnt awful but wasnt great just meh and we both had Caesar salad which I have never had the ceasar salad dressing come on the side and not on it but it was the best thing we had . Pollywog drink was just a frozen snowcone thats what i got from it my husband had his on the rocks and watched her make them and he ordered his second one and he said shes putting different stuff in it this time which was weird .The first one looked maroon colored the second one purple and he didnt drink the second one he said it was awful .I was really disappointed too ,because I really wanted to love this place since its not a chain restaurant. First time here and it was really good! The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was huge! Kids Popcorn Shrimp was full size shrimp which was great but if your kid prefers the tiny popcorn shrimp then I d order something else. I m not really a Margarita person but I ordered a strawberry one because the table beside me had one and it looked good. Mine was just ok, not enough strawberry. We will definitely be back though!

We went to this place two times. The first time was mid may 2023 and the second time was at the beginning of June. We had a great experience the first time. My wife had a tuna dish which was good and I got chicken sandwich that was also good. The second time was a complete disaster for us. I wanted to get the tuna dish but it was removed from the menu. So I got the sandwich again but the French fries were lower quality compared to first time. Finally, we ate inside and it was sweaty hot. This is rather unusual in Indoor TX.

First time trying this place. My wife and I shared the seafood combo. This was prepared very well, food was great and it was a lot. I recently found this little gem called The Purple Frog. Their daily food & drink specials is what caught my attention. Next was the atmosphere & staff! Every server I have had is so friendly & attentive. They have fun & work hard! Sundays are my favorite day to visit because I love doing Sunday brunch. Can t beat the brunch menu & $3 mimosas!!!! Some of the previous reviews baffle me since I have never had a bad experience with staff nor the food! Check the place out! Ask for Catherine, Haidon, Ashley or Walter. I went there for lunch & tried the lunch-size portion of Chicken Alfredo...it had a nice portion of grilled Chicken breast, sliced into strips but the pasta was a little under-cooked..& the sauce was okay but it tasted like it came out of a can or jar..just tasted kinda blah-bland..unlike Macaroni Grills Chicken Alfredo(DELICIOUSLY DIVINE by the way)& I also ordered the shrimp basket with fries, shrimp crust was a little bit overcooked for my taste..but overall Im willing to go & try it again sometime soon. normally when i come to purple frog its a great time!! but this is the second time i have had a certain waitress and we have had to stand up and walk to the bar to order because we werent checked on, and when we did order it took around 30 minutes to get two drinks. I can write off the first time as a bad day, but the second time is a little frustrating. every other waiter i had ever had has been a pleasure though. love the food!

Our server was nice... however when I ordered my drink it came with a lime when I ordered a lemon... totally fine I told her that I wanted lemon. Usually that would mean a side of lemon would come. She snatched the lime off of my glass. Weird to say the least. My family has been coming here for 7 years and we have been thru owners changing before. They improved the menu and flavors of the food. Since this owner change the food quality is way down. Salsa is not fresh, queso is out of a can. Our food was very bland and that is a huge disappointment. The staff that took excellent care of us are no longer there either. Sadly our go to place is no longer what we see now. Very sad.

My family and I have been regulars here for years and the last few visits the food has been not good. I know that ownership has changed recently, and they have changed the menu. Food quality is terrible now. We heard that they fired most of the previous staff, which is a shame because they provided wonderful service. New staff is not up to par. I think the new owners should probably rethink the changes theyve brought to this restaurant because as it stands I dont plan to return. Well just have to find a new place to frequent. I wish the owners luck with their business.

My family and I came in yesterday evening, were all sick. They refuse accountability or refund. Thrown up over 5 times. I had a busy work day and this is the only meal I ate yesterday. Had to wait over 25 min for check after waitress brought us to go boxes. This was at closing last night. My 13 year old and I started feeling sick immediately after leaving. We came here for lunch during our lunch break from the conference we are attending in town because it was local and we had heard good things but we had an overall underwhelming experience. The staff took a while on getting our food to us and we waited for a considerable amount of time before we received our food. The waiting time was the biggest annoyance about the restaurant because there were two small tables there when we got there and it wasn t busy, so it wasn t clear why we had such a long wait. In other reviews I saw that some staff was being trained a few months ago, and if that s the case, there wasn t a trainer with them to help with timing or efficiency. The food was not very good and mid at best. The burger wasn t seasoned well and it was quite bland. Others in the group were also unhappy with their meals that they ordered. If we re back in town, we likely won t be coming back because the quality is lacking. The atmosphere is laid back college theme but the food and service are subpar.

The bus boy sat me, very nice even checked on me later to ensure someone had come by. No one had come by it took another ten minutes. The server showed up only 3 times and didnt check on me after dropping my food off. I left a 20 on the table and left. They were not busy, and none of the other servers checked on me either. I was really disappointed with my experience at the Purple Frog. Our waiter did a terrible job with our table, to the point that the bus girl fulfilled more of our requests than our waiter. I would not recommend the margaritas either, as they tasted like pure juice. Low expectations going in, even lower results coming out. The worst part is, we even debated dining and dashing because it took so long to even get our check. And when we did, the bus girl brought it out. Yikes

I gave it a 4 for being local and affordably priced. It didn t get a five because our Bacardi and cokes were watered down and my shrimp cocktail was way more salsa than shrimp. Basically two whole shrimp and a few little chunks buried in the spicy chunky salsa. My friend loved the catfish platter, though.

The Greek salad was delicious. We shared one salad between two people because it was so robust. The homemade Greek dressing was so good that my husband used it as a dip for his wings. The wings were plump and juicy and flavorful. If you like oysters, theirs were plump and fresh. Service was great as well. Well be back.

Ive been a waitress for 16 years, service sucks. We waited at the door to be seated or even greeted, we got looks but nothing more. It wasnt busy and the servers were just hanging out at the bar. My Friend and i just sat our selves and as i server i hate when people dont wait to be seated but nobody acknowledge us so I figured it was a self seated place. Once we sat down we waited an additional 15 mins to even get menus. The whole experience was horrible we only ordered 1 margarita each cause the server never came back and when we stopped the server to ask for our check he gave us a look like we just totally ruined his day! I continued to be nice i even gave him a $20 tip on a $30 check only cause im a server and I never under tip. I hope the manager re trains everyone, if not i will be more then happy to go a train everyone!

Then we noticed a server sat people and wondered if we were wrong got back up and stood by hoping to be acknowledged by someone. Ended up just leaving. That was enough of a bad experience. Hey, hate to do it. Me and my party came in at 6, and we left at 8:30 having recieved half of our appetizers and only our first drink order. Its Mardi Gras and we were looking forward to the crawfish. I paid and tipped for what we recieved and we left. Clearly the waitstaff was overwhelmed but trying. Wasted my partys time and money.

I had the astonishing slip-up of requesting 12 clams. Be cautioned: Begin with 6! They are gigantic and scrumptious. The crab cake burger was so loaded with astounding flavors and the French fries shut each and every spot down. The tomato juice and vodka had an astounding kick yet not excessively so #Perfect So you folks again next date day.

We passed a good time... Having reunited with my first true love I hadnt seen in 35+ years. Parking: Late afternoon early evening parking was not an issue at all. Id say during peak times it can be difficult to find a spot in the lot for the restaurant. But theres parking next door strip mall.

Ive been here before. But this time had to leave a 5 star review. The staff was friendly and considerate. The food was delicious. All thought the circumstances was not a happy time. I was so happy to finally find a place that has bacon wrapped stuff jalapenos, I was really sad to find out that they were pickled jalapenos. The presentation was good. I will definitely try something else on the menu because I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Crawfish used to be AMAZING, the last 3 times they weighed it with corn & potatoes, the crawfish were cooked dead or spoiled or they were so over cooked they were inedible. I wish I could post the pictures of the rotten crawfish they served me today. After showing our server and requesting another entree, as mine was inedible, she still charged me for the crawfish. Very disappointing, used to be my favorite crawfish in DFW.
