I usually dont like eating out in el paso since I havent had the best service in a while but the food and service are great here. Elena was our server and she was so attentive towards our table, making small talk with us and just made the whole experience better. I wish there were more servers like Elena out there!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the restaurant. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes, and every dish I tried was beautifully presented and delicious. What really stood out, however, was the outstanding service. Evan, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was memorable. His attentiveness and genuine friendliness made me feel valued as a guest, and he was always ready with great recommendations. Its rare to encounter such a high level of customer service, and Evans efforts truly enhanced my stay. Overall, I highly recommend the DoubleTree for both its fantastic accommodations and its remarkable dining experience. I look forward to returning in the future!

This was a lovely restaurant to visit found in the Doubletree Hotel. The Casanova is a little flash of light that brings you in for a light hug and a lovely meal. Their staff is quaint and informative, they know just how long to stay at the table so as to not interrupt the experience. Design wise the restaurant has a choice between three styles that seem to contradict each other. On one hand, the booths are comfortable, slick, and modern. On the other, you have a lining of square tables with knotted picnic cloths (a choice for sure). Smack dab between these two is a design I would not think Id find with all Ive seen and its a graffiti-styled wall that kinda makes the rest fall together strangely. But enough of me questioning tastes in style and lets move on to tastes of flavor. I dont know about you but when I see a drink menu, I have to try at least two different drinks and I was not disappointed with my first being Jets to Rome and my second La Dolce Vita. To start my meal I went with the foccacia, it was subtle and simple with a dollop of butter on the side. For the main course I went with the Chefs choice option on the menu, to my surprise I was met with a handful of crab raviolis atop a lemon-based sauce adorned lightly with sundried tomatoes and slivers of raw red peppers. Now this dish was tasty (after I removed the raw pepper. Dont get me wrong, I love spicy... just.. it needs to have flavor too..) with the zesty touch the crab needed and a little boldness that the sauce needed comes together and makes a decent dish. Finishing off with their limoncello dessert which finished off the meal with a subtle sweetness that puts a little cherry on top.

Coming from a Chef that s been in the business for years and with restaurants in New Orleans, this place has some of the best Italian I ve ever had. Terrible service from start to finish. Food was just ok. Could not get a sparkling water because the manager left with the key to the where they keep the bottles. This was at 8:15 pm in the middle of dinner service. Then I easily waited 15 mins or more for the check to arrive after I was done eating. The servers were all seated in a booth having a social conversation while the few tables were left unattended. I guess it s hard to find good help these days; from the manager on down.

George (maybe Jorge?) was the bartender the Friday night we were there. We came in for drinks before dinner elsewhere. He was friendly and engaging even though he was still setting up for the night. Pays very careful attention to his cocktail prep and knows about all the ingredients they use. Made me a wonderful Negroni and my partner an Under the Tuscan Sun. Both were great. We did not eat so cannot really comment on the food, but really enjoyed the bar, the service and the drinks. And George is a wealth of information on other places in the area.

We went here to eat the breakfast buffet that is advertised all over the hotel. Much to our disappointment, it was not a buffet at all. There were only 2 occupied tables but we stood at the counter waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes. The employees looked at us multiple times but still left us waiting there. Once seated, it got worse. We both ordered food. The waiter brought my plate out but not the other. He completely forgot to put the order in. So my food got cold as we waited another 10 minutes for the other plate. The waiter had an ear bud in his ear everytime he came to the table! He even had to take it out to have me repeat something so he could actually hear it. Im in customer service as well and ear buds should be prohibited when youre in an industry in which you have to speak and listen to customers. Very unprofessional. And when he brought the check, he stood over our shoulder while we signed it, as if waiting to see if we tipped him. This is a nicer restaurant in a nice hotel and one would expect much better service from anestablishment such as this.

I had ordered margarita pizza around store closing time. I took pizza to My room. This pizza neither had thin crust, nor sliced mozzarella cheese nor sliced tamatos. And it cost me almost $20. It was Atlanta, GA and was hungry for whole day. But I could not eat more than a slice. I had to trash whole pizza and go to sleep hungry. Next day I went there talked to the lady who had taken my order. She had big attitude on top of this. Who will ever go to such trashy place. It will take a while to get over this.

Im always suspicious of Italian restaurants in El Paso, but this is the real deal. Very closely resembles some of the eateries Ive been to up in Chicago. The lounge bar at the entrance is nice and they do live music regularly. Definitely will be making this a regular eatery.

It is not good as Americanized Italian food and a far cry from the authentic Italian food advertised. An insult to anyone who is hoping for an authentic taste of Italy on their visit. Dull uninspiring flavors coupled with a lack of direction and taste. The only saving grace is the strong atmosphere, but thats not worth the $250 dollar bill for a family of four. Ill stick to Olive Garden that, while not authentic at the very least, doesnt feel like an overpriced clownshow.

Went for a new years eve dinner with relatives. It started okay, like any other restaurant. They brought out water glasses but when bringing out drinks, they served them in plastic cups, said they ran out of glasses... I had a cesar salad, took 1 hour to get to me and I would be lying if I told you it was any better than a whataburger salad. After another hour the plates started coming in. Spaghetti with meatballs, barely warm pasta, very bland sauce and extremely dry and bland meatballs. Then a lobster pasta for my cousin which she said was extremely salty, was said to be served with fettucine, but was served with spaghetti. Wifes chicken parmesan was offered with ravioli, also was brought out with spaghetti, even though really warm, was extremely salty. I read the reviews prior to my visit so I was prepared to be disappointed.

I recently stayed at the hotel that this restaurant is attached to him, and was very impressed with the service and food. We might ve missed the restaurant altogether, but the manager Chris had come to the pool to let us know about the pool bar being open and invited us to the restaurant later. I was really impressed that he came up to the pool just to talk to the guest and that when we were in the restaurant, he came by a few times just to check on us and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Jorge, was also a delight, as he was very attentive to us because we wanted to sit to the bar. He was very helpful with our questions about Elpaso and the menu. Out of suggestion, we got the Tuscan soup which I am now addicted to. I really hope they ll make this part of the full menu and not just a special. It is truly a delight.

The caprese salad was fresh and had an accent of pesto that played well with the dish. I had the rack of lamb that was honestly one of the best I have ever had (if the owner/chef sees this, please dont discontinue this dish, we will go back again and again just for the lamb). The atmosphere was a little weird as it is in the hotel, which distracts from the fine dining experience, but the food and drinks more than makes up for it! Will definitely stop by again

I arrived at this establishment with the expectation of having a remarkable culinary experience. Among my companions, we ordered dishes such as salmon, pasta, lamb, and spaghetti. Unfortunately, the salmon was not adequately seasoned. As for myself, I opted for the lamb. The presentation and seasoning of the dish were impeccable; however, the meat had an unpleasant freezer burn taste. The spaghetti that was ordered was clumped together, and the meatball tasted doughy, resembling a flavorless Matzo ball. In my opinion, when dining at an upscale restaurant, one naturally expects to try new and innovative items, hence my choice of the lamb. However, the experience was rather underwhelming. On a positive note, I did order a Caprese Salad, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. As for the beverages, they were nothing extraordinary, despite being quite pricey. To my surprise, when one of my friends brought up the issue with the spaghetti to the waiter, they casually mentioned that the cook was in training. Given the prices charged, one would anticipate the presence of a chef or a sous chef, rather than just a cook. To be honest, the overall dining experience is not worth the price. I am confident that one would have a more enjoyable time with better food at establishments such as Comos or Olive Garden.

This place is terrible. It was drab and dreary, furniture was rickety, and the lighting was awful! I felt like I was on stage under a spotlight. The cutlery and glasses were filthy and my water had what seemed like, old food floating in it. It was very hot as well, supposedly the a/c was on, but our party was uncomfortable, sweaty, and we even had to ask to move to another table because It was unbearable. Moved to another spot that wasn t much better. Appetizers were un seasoned and looked old and probably were frozen. When our food finally arrived my pasta was luke warm, yuk! The portions were small and I literally could have cooked this at home with better quality. Ended up paying what we normally would pay at a FIVE STAR restaurant and forced gratuity on the check. This is just another restaurant portraying to be high end when restaurants such Olive Garden and Peter Piper have better quality of food than Casanova. All our party immediately voiced our displeasure leaving the restaurant and will never go back to this dump again. We were unsatisfied and felt dooped from the photos on the internet. Do not fall for it, it is nothing like what they display. You re waisting your money dining here.

Again another over priced restaurant downtown claiming to be high end in order to overcharge you. Came in for a birthday dinner which we put on the reservation, but we were received like it was any other day. The Spaghetti and Meatballs were okay, meaning the sauce and spaghetti. Because the meatballs were dry, flavorless, and inedible. I ordered a margherita pizza because I saw a picture of one in the reviews that looked great, unfortunately mine had nonexistent basil that looked more like pieces of cilantro sparsely spreaded on the pizza. The dough was comparable to Little Caesars, I will say the tomato sauce was good, even though I felt like I was eating a cheese pizza. Overall $18 for a mediocre pizza and $24 for a spaghetti that I could have made with $10, no thanks. The place was pretty empty, there was no ambience or music, the place itself feels dark, musky, and uninviting. There is apparently no dress code so don t bother looking nice, everyone in there was dressed in shorts and tshirts. I expected way more from this place. This is not high end or high quality, the consistency obviously lacks and that is apparent in the mixed reviews. I don t foresee this place being open for the long haul. I try to support local, but don t market yourself up to a standard you can t deliver.

I went to the restaurant this weekend, I expected there to be live music, but there wasnt, also when I was assigned a table, I was unbalanced, but from then on everything went well. Gabriel recommended the newest thing on the menu, which was Lamb Chop, very good just with the term I asked for. The service and food were the best

Yesterday was my first time in the restaurant, there was a calm atmosphere due to the lights and music. Our appetizers were a Calamari that was good and a mushroom risotto that was a little dry but delicious. To eat a Chicken Parmigiana and Lamb Chop, the presentation of the dishes was very good and the food was good but not extraordinary. For dessert, our waiter Gabriel offered us a Tres leches, which we accepted and it was very good, the service was the best of the night. In general we give our experience an 8.5/10, if we return ..

Falsely advertising they support Fossil Face Farms when they clearly do not. The farm has been closed for a year now and the guey who bought the 13$ worth of veggies 2 years ago never even paid the bill. Repeatedly asked to remove my farm s name from their menu but I ve been meet with dead end answers. What a way to lie to your customers just to make your menu look like you care about investing in local producers. What other ingredients do you lie about?

My wife and I went there to try it out and support our favorite local band. The music was fantastic as always, but unfortunately the food was not. The appetizer (Fritti Misto) was delightful! Really good and had great flavors. So we were excited about the main course. My wife got the Pappardelle di Bosco which is her favorite Italian dish (she s Italian). I ordered the Caprichosa (was hoping for the real Capricciosa) pizza. The main course was completely disappointing! On their website the claim Classic Italian menu. It is anything but Classic. Fortunately, the only good things about the main course was portion size and the pasta was fresh! My pizza was not good at all. It was definitely hotel food at a ridiculous price. See pictures. It really tasted like a Peter Piper crust with awful toppings. The ham tasted like it was about to turn. Nothing good about this pizza! My wife s pasta was okay, but the sauce was not Classic and lacked flavor. She said it was not bad, but was not as described and as she was hoping. What they charged for what we actually got should not be legal. It was extremely overpriced! However, the desert (Tres Leches Tiramisu) was great! It was frozen in the middle, but we looked passed that and enjoyed. The service was not great. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and forgot some stuff, even after coming back to the table and remembering she forgot it. When she brought the check she mentioned she gets $20 if we include her name in a Google review. For the sake of it not being good service I will not include her name. We, unfortunately, won t be back for the food!

To start off the place felt Dark, weird and uninviting. Perhaps adjacent to a pool. Bartender blatantly ignored us for a solid 15 mins. Finally took our drink order only to walk away leaving us figure out seating. Waiter never introduced himself, after taking our order he forgot to put it in. We waited a good amount of time but the the food was delicious! A tad bit over priced for the vibe and ambiance they are trying to portray. There was a nice local band playing they were a great. Not too loud and good dinner music choices

The food was amazing! I started with my favorite starter, Italian wedding soup. The soup was definitely made from scratch with fresh vegetables. For dinner I had fruta de mare and it was amazing! It was rich and full of flavors despite the substitution I requested. The octopus was tender like scallops. The mussels were cooked perfect and not rubber like. For dessert I chose tiramisu because I don t make this dessert. The lady fingers were soaked just right and did not mush the cake. The fresh crème and a small scoop of very smooth gelato with a few sprinkle of walnuts topped my evening. Oscar served my dish and he is an amazing server; Very attentive to my allergy to shrimp which is standard with fruta de mare dish. He came back to ask if lobster was a problem . The ambiance was great as well. A live band played light jazzy music and bit of soft modern country. Dietary restrictions: Red Crustaceans cannot be cooked in any of my dish

We went in at around 7:05 and were told that it would be a 10-15 minute wait. We asked if we could wait at the bar. The host walked by 3 times, completely ignoring us, and then my boyfriend went up and asked him if he had a table yet. There were about 5 tables seated in the restaurant. It had been about 20 minutes and we saw the host goofing off with one of the servers. He completely forgot about us. We waited about 20 minutes for our first round of drinks at the table, then we re told there was no bread for the night. NO BREAD? At an Italian restaurant. Our entrees were okay, pretty dry and I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to my dinner, which I normally never do. When I changed my mind about not getting dessert, the server seemed pretty unhappy. Their priority is not on serving any of the customers but mostly on major catering events for the hotel, and on their phones and each other. Would not recommend.

The service was the only good thing we experienced here. Husband and I went on a Sunday eve so the place was empty but our food still took about 40 minutes to come out. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan which was barely breaded and pretty bland taste-wise. Some of his sides were over-cooked, some under. I had the pesto gnocchi with fresh veggies and sadly, the sauce was broken and very oily and the veggies were over salted.

Besides the service being poor, the food was horrible and overly priced. We had the risotto with mushrooms, and it was beyond disgusting, it had a spoiled flavor. We tried it and told our server we did not liked it, she took it away and didnt even offer to remake it or substitute for something else. We had salads and a Margherita pizza. It cas cold and the cheese hard, no flavor what so ever. A Walmart pizza would have been 10 times better. When we got our check, the risotto had been charged, i asked the server if she could remove it since we didnt eat it and she said well, you ordered it, you have to pay it she took our credit cards and came back saying she gaved us 50% off the tab, well it was half for the risotto only!! Will never visit this restaurant again and will not recommend.

The appetizers we re the highlight of the experience as they were really delicious, we orders the meatballs and the caprese salad 10/10 recommend. As for the entrees the ribeye was something I could have made at home it was very bland and didn t even look appetizing for $58 and there was no truffle on the truffle fries Lastly, we had to use the same silverware for all the courses. As for our server she was okay, she was very goofy which we honestly enjoyed but not very professional. When we asked her about the dishes on the menu she had no clue because apparently she isn t allowed to try anything off the menu? But all in all, I will be returning because that caprese salad was probably the best I ve ever had.
