Theres going to be a wait if youre using the drive-thru. The only lady today gave good customer service. The fish is not fresh, the breaded coating falls off, and youre left with unseasoned fish. It didnt taste or resembled catfish.

Don t let the building fool you the food was so delicious as a grandma or Momma was in that kitchen throwing down! I got grilled chicken platter that comes with rice and a salad plus I had to try the catfish Fantastic definitely recommend also, if you re a ranch lover, make sure you get extra ranch

The area is run down and kind of deserted. The building is old, and even the restroom is OUT back. They didnt open on time, and after waiting an additional 10 minutes, we just left. If you cant show up on time to open, then that lets me know youre not prepared. Ive eaten here before, and I love the fried shrimp and tenders. The lemonade and Kool-Aid are the BOMB!! Too bad theyve down down in size of the cups but not the prices. And next time, BE ON TIME!!!

I called my order in at the Desoto location & the guy that answered seemed very unoccupied and unbothered, kept having to repeat my self. Anyway husband pulled up to get a grilled shrimp platter. They told him no orders were called in, against my judgment he ordered there. The shrimp were dry and overcooked- the dirty rice was very mushy-rice was overcooked, the chicken pieces that were in it were old and dry. And they forgot to give me my salad dressing. I tried them a year ago and gave them the benefit of doubt to try again, but I can t and I won t be back!

Love the catfish nuggets and chicken wings at this location, but the customer service or lack of customer service has to improve significantly, the fact that the wait is soooo long that people are actually leaving the establishment and going somewhere will eventually cause the customer to stop coming altogether. Train your staff on how to hustle or hire employees who already know how & let s turn this facility around.

What I dont like is the slow drive thru and all the windows to the kitchen are all covered. The catfish is actually Swai. Kids work the register so check you change. No pleasantries are expected and the drive thru is never friendly. The food is somewhat salty.

Good place to go for catfish and colossal shrimp. They give you a good amount of grilled shrimp in the grilled shrimp salad, but not a lot of salad which is basically iceberg lettuce, 1 or 2 slices of tomatoes, and cucumbers. Unfortunately, the ranch tastes watered down and iceberg lettuce has no taste so..... The Cajun wings have a dry rub on them and the wings themselves were dry. Never had cajun wings before so not sure of the presentation or taste. You can dine in, but there is no restroom or at least I didnt see one so bring hand sanitizer. The place is small so I doubt I missed it.

This place normally has great food. They have 3 $5.99 specials, all of which I have had the pleasure of eating. These specials are a 6 piece catfish nugget and fry, a 2 piece catfish fillet and fry, and a 4 piece chicken tender and fry. Normally, this place is on point but today, some of the catfish nuggets had too much batter on them and were not as meaty as usual. As well, the fries were cold! The nicely seasoned fries are normally such a nice complement to the meal that I just dont understand what happened today. My favorites there are the chicken tenders and, normally, the catfish nuggets. Also, please beware of the catfish fillets, as I hardly saw any fish in them the last time- it was mainly just batter.

I m giving a 3 star only because my first time here was pretty good, but the 2nd time, wrong order completely, I was already home though ..so, fish filets were as thin as copy paper, did they slice the filet to make 4 filets out of it? stretch it out further? Fries were soggier than a wooly mammoth in a Japanese monsoon. If you re going to charge $25-30 a plate, get the order right at least, the food isn t necessarily bad, it s seasoned well, but I m so tired of exchanging my hard earned money for less than mediocre service and product

BEWARE-ROACHES. I normally don t ever write reviews. However, I felt compelled to share our experience. We received our order and decided to eat in the restaurant. While we began to eat our food, I then saw a roach crawling on the wall right next to me and another on the opposite wall connected to kitchen. We immediately threw our food and left the restaurant. I called the restaurant and informed them of the roaches. The young lady stated the Manager was out and she would let him know of situation. Beware of this restaurant-DeSoto location.

Just went to Masons DeSoto at 7:54 p.m. and the guy tells me to wait. Then he comes back to say we not taking anymore orders. Well, did you change your hours? I didnt press the issue but this is completely unacceptable. Its bad enough that the level of customer service is non-existent and you have to wait 10 minutes for a small order. Now you just brush customer off just because you dont want to do a little more work that you are definitely being compensated for. Just another example of our community failing itself. Deeply disappointed... Ill take my money somewhere else since Masons in DeSoto doesnt want it, even during business hours.

Just ok. Calamari was good, not great but good. The sauce for the calamari was great. The frozen crinkle fries were well cooked. Fish and shrimp were mediocre not much flavor. Cant rate the hushpuppies because they were missing. It didnt come with bread, toast or pickles. The tartar sauce was watery, salty and no flavors suggested that it was tartar sauce. Ive had plenty of bad tartar sauces and this one is definitely on the bad list. Only receive 3 stars for the calamari and sauce and the well cooked frozen fries.

My son has hyped Mason s (Desoto, TX) up for years. Last night I bypassed the nachos I was going to make at home because he wanted Mason s. I have to say, it was the worst burger I have ever had in my life. My husband was not pleased either. I knew there would be a problem when I paid $35+ for three burger meals and the bag felt like it only had one burger in it. I got home and start passing out food and realized one of the burgers was messed up so now I am playing switcharoo with toppings and bread (mustard vs. mayo). I ordered three bacon cheeseburgers meals and the bacon looked like burnt bacon bits that had been sitting out all day. The food was not fresh at all. The hamburger meat was not seasoned. I literally took three bites and trashed the rest of it. My husband said he only ate it because he was hungry. The kool-aid tasted like sugar water and the Coke was watered down. The whole experience was horrible overall and I will NEVER recommend this restaurant. I will NEVER go to this place again. If I could have given a 0 star rating, I would have.

This owner is lazy and the food is absolutely lousy!!! The cook gets drunk all day. Roaches and mice are infesting the building and it is not being attended to by owner. Food gets dropped and recycled out to customers. There is multiple cross-contamination points not only in preparation area but in the cooking area and serving area. Who needs to worry about Covid when we have Mason s !? UPDATE: my son was cut short on his last check due to the owner and his illegal procedures of running this business. He is now threatening my son not to give him his check when he is currently working there right now! The next stop I ll be making his Better Business Bureau OSHA and I ll be calling my lawyer as well. Absolutely unacceptable. Came to Mason s tonight to order food at 7:40 PM. Set up the speaker for 15 minutes and no one answered so I decided to come inside. Once I came inside I was told they are not taking orders because it s too close to closing time. The young man walked away and did not speak to me. I got in my truck and went outside and found that they were taking orders at the drive-through again. I confronted the person working in the drive-through window. My first time trying this place and I won t be returning. I got a catfish nugget basket and a 2 fillet/ 3 shrimp basket, dirty rice and baked beans. The catfish nuggets were very small and looked more like chicken nuggets and they were fried too long because they were chewy/rubbery. The catfish fillets and shrimp were fried too hard. The shrimp had too much breading on them and the shrimp itself was hiding underneath it all very bland and tough. The dirty rice was very spicy and had a sweet taste that I couldn t figure out. The baked beans tasted like they were poured straight from the can to the pot and warmed. The best part of this entire meal was the fries.

I did not like the food..I want be trying again. Update: I actually went back and tried after hearing other people say it was good when they went. This time it was much better, food was fresh hot and good.

I m so sad, I ordered 24 catfish nugget basket and a two fillet with shrimp basket yesterday and everything was old, seemed it had been triple fried. I m laying in bed sick due to the state of the food. You cannot recook food like this. Never coming back. Terrible experience.

Finally a place that actually seasons their chicken! I ordered the chicken tender meal and everything in it was delicious. The bread had garlic butter and the fries were even seasoned too. Will definitely be coming back.

I went there today and ordered the two pork chops basket and it was horrible, the meat was tough and the fried part was just soft and falling all over the place. I took it back and exchanged for the catfish fillets and they were super hard and didn t taste like fish at all. The kool-aid doesn t take like black folks kool-aid, they definitely lost a customer today as I have no intentions of ever ordering from them again!!!

I got the 6 piece wing combo(Buffalo). The wings are so good and the fries were hot and fresh. I also got the cheesecake. Its so light, fluffy and creamy lol. I ate it first. It also came with a sprite. It was strong and good like I like it lol Update: twice Ive gone to Masons on Hampton in Desoto... the prices dont match the food anymore... seems they have become lazy... or just dont care
