Amazing venue just off of Denton s square. An Incredibly versatile space. We used it for a themed birthday party, but it would also be the perfect place for weddings, receptions, reunions, film/photo location, etc. The owner, Sunita, is also great and very helpful in making sure any venue needs are met and that the event goes off without a problem.

Hosted my art show here and the ambiance was amazing, the booking/touring process was extremely convenient, and I cannot wait to host my wedding here next it s literally underground and dreamy. I hosted my nieces baby shower at Studio E and I cannot say enough good things about my experience! From the beginning Sunita worked with me letting me visit the site multiple times to take measurements and photos. Three weeks prior to the shower, my father fell and was hospitalized. He needed 24/7 help and Sunita worked with me on my timeline to accommodate my difficult schedule with set up. She was there during set up to help and was at the shower to assist with anything we needed. It was/is a beautiful space and made for a gorgeous shower!! Thank you so much!!! Our family will be back!!

Definitely a unique and special venue. It has character and versatility. I went specifically for a baby shower, that was done beautifully. The space has great accommodations and accessibility. Also, would be great for hosting so many things! Micro weddings, showers, birthday parties, the list is endless! My only complaint , was my maps app couldn t pick it up. Kept showing it in either Salina or Roanoke. Even though it s smack in the heart of Denton. Otherwise, they use the little space so well!

We utilized Studio E for my baby shower. Y all, it was just magical! The space was big enough for the 40+ people we had, but intimate enough that we were able to enjoy each others company. The exposed brick and natural wood have an industrial/rustic boho vibe that I just loved! The space was beautiful, but the owner was the true gem . She worked with us, so we could bring stuff in the day before, and really allowed us ri make the space what we wanted! I cannot explain to you how magical our shower was! The space, although beautiful, is not ADA friendly. The bathroom is not accessible to those who struggle to get around - to even access the space, you have to go down a small flight of stairs. This was not an issue for us, but if you have friends/family who are wheelchair bound, this space may not meet your needs.

Studio E in Denton turned our wedding planning into a headache. Booked a year in advance, promising a speakeasy vibe, Studio E graffitied throughout the venue, drastically changing its aesthetics without notifying us. This alteration was discovered during a decor discussion visit, where the owner, rather than focusing on our event, shared her personal breakup story, showcasing a severe lack of professionalism. The situation worsened when, approximately two weeks before our booking, Studio E retracted their initial compromise to let us cover the graffiti. Their solution was to offer a refund rather than working with us to resolve the issue. Communication broke down completely, when the owner ghosted us until we accepted the refund. This left us scrambling to find a new venue at the last minute, causing immense stress and financial strain. Studio Es handling of our booking was a disaster. The abrupt and undisclosed change to the venue, coupled with the owners unprofessionalism and poor communication, was less than ideal. We advise against Studio E for any special event.

Renting this place was a total mistake. I spent $2500 on Studio E, for my daughters wedding. It was a terrible experience. I do not recommend anyone hold a special event here. You will be very disappointed. It was extremely hot. All our guests were sweating the entire time. The lady in charge lied to me multiple times. There was no help from her or her staff whatsoever on day of event. There is a huge water issue... as soon as you soak up all the water, it leaks all over again, leaving huge puddles of water. We did not have music for my girls wedding, because in the lobby, it would not work. I was told I would be issued some sort of refund but of course, has not happened even after 2 months. I dont expect a full refund, but the help we were supposed to get from employees, we had to do ourselves, I think calls for something. But either way, just want to make others aware.

Studio E is a wonderful little hidden gem in downtown Denton. I rented the venue to do a tasting event. We turned this little venue into a speakeasy/art gallery. The exposed brick walls gives you a very retro chic vibe. The owner herself is also very laid-back. The whole experience was easy/no stress at all! The owner was also around to make sure that everything went smoothly. Parking: you can park across the street in the paid parking or there s parking along the street since it is downtown Denton. Food and alcohol: no fussing with required catering companies that don t make the food that you like. You can bring your own food and your own alcohol. She does have a movable bar stand that can be placed anywhere within the venue. Will be back.

Studio E graciously hosted an event of mine that required some discretion. The venue was clean, decorated, had plenty of space, and worked perfectly for our needs! The venue owner was highly attentive, taking out trash and making sure our setup was perfect for what we needed. I would definitely recommend and book again!

Warm and inviting atmosphere and impeccable vibes. Both luxurious and cozy, edgy and intimate. That s a hard balance to strike but they managed to create a speakeasy type experience that feels exclusive and unique. We loved it. We had some unexpected hiccups along the way but Sunita handled them with patience and grace. Looking forward to the next excuse I have to book here.

When I found this gem, let me tell you how excited we were. We have had several bad experiences with no shows and lack of communication with previous venues, but we got a response quickly and it had everything we needed. The day of the scheduled visit my fiancé was hurting from an injury but insisted we still go. On the way there, 30 minutes before our time, we received an email, not a phone call, that something has popped up and we cannot meet today . We were offered to reschedule for the following Sunday. I replied that I understood but was frustrated because my fiancé was hurting and still tried and now we re just finding out on the way, but that we would consider it. On Tuesday after deciding to go ahead and try again, I responded that we would like to still see the venue. Sunita replied that she apologized she was sick and didn t want to get her clients sick. In a second email she let us know we could come Sunday at 11:30 . I responded that that was great. Fast forward to Sunday, 11:30. We arrive and no one is there; door is locked. I email to ask where we go. I also call and leave a voicemail that we are there and to please call back. I double check my email that she said 11:30, just in case I m wrong. It says 11:30. We go ahead and wait until 12:30 thinking maybe they re late, something happened. We had nothing to do, so we gave it a shot. 12:30, we knock, no answer. We stay until 12:45 after I attempted one last phone call. No answer and I wasn t going to leave another email. I am extremely frustrated and I find it very unprofessional to not communicate at all. I am pretty flexible about life happens kind of stuff but after two attempts and hardly any communication, doesn t make me excited to do business with you. I m disappointed it turned out this way because they had such great reviews and from the photos, it looked pretty magical. I strongly encourage the owners to do better so another couple doesn t feel this way.

I came across Studio E in my search for a unique venue to host a celebration of life for my mother, who passed away in early January. After my initial tour of the venue, I knew I had to book the space. The vibe just felt so fitting for my mother s unique character and I knew the versatility of the space was going to work perfect for the type of event I had planned out. I ended up booking both the lobby space of The Hickory building to hold a traditional ceremonial style remembrance service, as well as Studio E for a more relaxed celebration of life gathering to immediately follow. Sunita was a wonder to work with throughout the entire planning process and, on the day of my event, she went above and beyond to ensure everything went off without a hitch and that the day would be something special for my mom and all of us there to celebrate the woman she was. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Sunita s hospitality and how truly special she made our experience there at Studio E!

My wife and I had our reception here this past October and it was wonderful! Sunita and Cynthia were very helpful and responsive in emails and on the day of Sunita was incredibly helpful with the set up. Our families adored the space and everything felt very intimate. If I ever had any sort of event or large party again I would be back at Studio E in a heartbeat!

I have gone to many art and music shows at this venue, as well as put on my own charity event there, and was always impressed by their professionalism and creativity. The venue is beautiful, and they take care to make sure every event is aesthetically pleasing as well as easy for the hosts. The owners are a delight, and care immensely for their community. Denton is blessed to have such a responsible venue on our square.

This place is beyond unprofessional. We were hired by a separate company to come to this venue to cater. Upon arrival, the venue hosts/owners told us that we could set up and just come back the following day to pick up our equipment, almost like they didn t want us there during the event. I didn t complain, I told them it was no problem, and we left. This was around 9pm. Then, around almost 2 am, I get a message on Instagram (again, very UNPROFESSIONAL), that they forgot they had an event in the morning, so they handed off my equipment to the client. I NEVER authorized permission for them to handle/pack my equipment. Their exact words were please get in touch with them to coordinate pickup. So sorry about the change! Again, ridiculously unprofessional. I go to get my equipment from my client, and there are several items missing. At least 10 items. My client tells me that not only did the venue pack up the equipment, but they also filled up the to-go boxes. This is illegal. By law you must be certified to handle any food to a party, especially one that you are contracted with; not only was this illegal, it was unsafe during covid. The event was buffet-style for a reason. But again, we were asked to leave as soon as we set up the buffet. Also, once we finished set up, they asked by any chance did you bring plates , and I told them it should ve been proved by them. They responded, oh, well no we don t have any . And when I told the client, they confirmed that their contract stated that the VENUE should ve provided these things. The following day, I called and called and no one answered, not until I sent a message via INSTAGRAM, did they finally call back. They argued with me the entire time, and said we don t have a contract with you . But yet they verbally assured, via VERBAL CONTRACT, to pick my equipment up the following day. I really hope if anyone decides to book with them, you reconsider before it s too late. They aren t honest people and they are very unorganized, and will somehow make you take fault for it. All I want is my equipment returned to me, but I was threatened that we have a lawyer . Please avoid this place if possible.

Working with Studio E on my event was an amazing experience. The owner/operators are two of the highest quality people and business owners I have worked with to date. They are two of the hardest working individuals I have ever worked with. Studio E works with you at every level throughout the production of your event to ensure maximum results. They are always the consummate professionals. The space is a beautiful very well cared for and tended to three room brick and mortar basement completely redone to have retro edgy clean contemporary look. Any Issue regarding the space is dealt with in a very timely manner to ensure the success of any event organizer and/or company using the space. It is a space that has multiple uses and can be outfitted for any style of event no matter how unique. It brings a fresh new look and opportunity to the Denton, TX usable venue landscape. I very much look forward to the future developing professional relationship and friendship with them and the many other events we work on together.
