This location has the most incompetent and terrible customer service and this is because of the bad manager Brain in that location who doesn t know how to do his job . You would think that when the cashiers and associate can t help you the manager would do a better job, but the manage I met in this location proved to be the worst, I have ever seen in my entire life. He was so rude and acted like a frustrated being towards me instead of resolving the situation. It was a very disappointing experience. He definitely needs more training to do his job well. It s a shame that kind of store would hire a person like that to manage the store.

Reasonable prices and good selection. I wish the website was better about inventory. A bit frustrating when part of your online order is cancelled because you didnt come to the store fast enough but the second part of the order hasnt arrived.

Awful online order service. It was supposed to be a curbside pick up order. They asked me to go inside because the order was under my husband name (not sure why, I ordered it, had the email and order number with me) and after getting the order, on the cashier #1 which is specifically for online orders, I asked to replaced one of the items for a bigger size for my daughter. For my surprise the cashier said that I had to wait 24hrs to exchange because it was not clear on their system yet. So I asked if I could return it, and he told me to go inside and find the size I wanted to exchange it for. Once I was back at cashier #1, I was told I had to wait in line (it was packed) for them to exchange my online order! If cashier #1 is specifically for online orders and pick up, why now I would have to stand in the long line to swap the same product?! It was an online curbside order for god s sake!!!

I would rate this five stars easily except for the fact that the checkout experience is always the absolute worst in all of Denton. Never enough registers open. Returns take forever and end up tying up multiple registers. Employees standing around looking at their phones instead of opening new registers. I just watched a male employee walk up to one of the front registers and hug the cashier and totally disrupt the return she was trying to process

A bit disappointing to make the trip there from 45 mins away and get no acknowledgement at all from the employee behind the Firearm counter. I was the only customer there at the time. My worst experience thus far at Academy. I decided to make the purchase elsewhere for the Firearm which was in stock. Otherwise, the staff was very helpful when I bought my new grill and a few other items. Helpful loading the grill into my vehicle for me.

This Academy has got to be the worst of all. They have decided that they really dont want to sell anything. First of all, not a single dog bed has a price tag. Im not gonna walk every dog bed im interested in to the price checker on the wall. Also, the older gentleman behind the gun counter told me it is illegal for youth to touch the little cricket youth rifles... Illegal for youth to touch a youth rifle ???? This location has horrible customer service, online survey was complete and a manager contacted me via phone. He apologized for the inconvenience and advised he would send something in mail in a couple weeks, but e are now at thirty days later. I ve been to the other locations, this Denton Texas location on university is horrible. Not one associate asked if I needed assistance. Once I climbed the ladder, one associate ran over to acknowledge her job could be in jeopardy had I got caught on ladder. The closest associate(Brittney) around 5 feet from me never offered to help. Luckily another customer snapped a picture of me on the ladder. I was unaware that a picture was taken, the other customer stated she hadn t been helped either and would share the photo with another manager. I ve been completely ignored by the entire staff other than a lady Nat. This place does not deserve a star. It only allows you to post if you give it a star. Not the first time service was not offered. That was definitely my last visit. I ll drive all the way to grapevine or Arlington locations.
