Lovely food, drinks and atmosphere. Server was kind and attentive. But when you have to pay the obligatory 18% tip, I expect my main to arrive after Ive finished my starter and not before, leaving me to embarrassingly push away my empty starter plate and pull my main towards me. I had the fried oysters and chicken and waffles. Both were delicious. Would still go again.

Food was really good, we had to send an entree back but other than that the service and taste of everything was great! Our waiter Carlos was amazing definitely will request him next time we visit! Manager was super nice and apologized for our inconvenience with the entree, he comped our food which was super unexpected and ensured us next visit it would be A1 which I truly appreciated. Definitely a good vibe and for the quality of food fairly priced!

They were packed on Saturday but they moved quickly. We ended up eating at the bar and the bartender was . The biscuits reminded me of somebodys grandma and the jelly and gravy were icing on the cake. They played a nice mix of music and had a really cute theme throughout the restaurant. Ill be back.

I m so glad we stopped here on our trip. The ambiance was beautiful, menu options were great and the service was fantastic. Our server, Matteo, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it. He was very attentive to preferences and allergies too. We ordered the corn fritters (my fav), shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffle. I also really enjoyed my drink. It was a Mocktail called like a virgin. Stop in!

The food was good. The chicken was tender and had a mustard glaze that was tasty. The ribs were tender. The beans and rice; the beans had meat and a bit of spicy kick to it. Parking: Parking is located behind the building and shared with the restaurant next door. At lunchtime , it wasnt difficult to find parking.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. First of all, the food was excellent. Never has I have the freshest prepared food anywhere. The host, GM, and staff were equally excellent. It has a lot of Character!! From the atmosphere, to the servers, to the plates, to the walls. Even our water glasses were served in Mason jars;) The food was good!! We got the biscuits as an appetizer. The different butters and honey were yummy. We got the classic dishes~chicken & waffles and shrimp & Grits. The prices were pretty good-$40 a person on average. Not the biggest portion sizes, but full of flavor! Overall, a fun place to go; almost has a hole-in-the-wall feel to it!!!

I went here on Sunday, 9/15, with some friends. The atmosphere was neat but the music was way too loud inside and tolerable outside so we opted for outdoor seating. It was warm that day but they do a good job trying to take the edge off with umbrellas and huge evap cooler fans. It was comfortable but a little warm. The food was truly delicious but it got eclipsed by the deceptive service that was rife with constant up selling. I ordered some water and was offered sparkling or still for my options. I ordered sparkling. I was served a can of Liquid Death water. I was a little surprised by this but perhaps thought I had missed an option for tap water. A friend showed up later and ordered water and was only offered the same options. Not good. We had to specifically ask for tap water. Whenever we ordered something we were constantly barraged with an up sell. A friend ordered eggs, the server asked to throw extra cheese on them. I ordered shrimp and grits (amazing dish), and I was asked if wanted to add more shrimp. Another ordered a Bloody Mary, he was asked to add an extra shot. Every one and everything was an opportunity to up sell. I only mention this because the food, which was exceptional, was outdone by the bad service. I m not sure if this is company policy but it was a major detraction from the experience. This place is worth the ticket for the food, but the service (or at least our server) was off putting.

Los was an exceptional host for my familys evening! My husband is going off on a work trip for a few months, so we wanted to have one last special evening with our son before he leaves. We did not inform anyone it was a special evening, but Los made it feel memorable for us all. We always have great service here, but I must give Los extra recognition for his service tonight. Creative decor, beautiful atmosphere, the music is loud so it s hard to speak to the person across from you. They re heavy handed on the drinks both the mimosa and manmosa were strong. Food tasted good. Partner said he probably had the best hash browns that he s ever had. The toffee flavored cinnamon roll is better for a group of 4 because it is sugary and heavy. The chicken and waffles was good but I ve had better. Prices are also expensive. People come here dressed up and many come to drink.

Typical brunch for locals! Heavy decor gives southern Texan vibes. Theres usually a wait on weekends but opening seating at the bar. The frozen drinks were strong yet still tasty! Love this place, except that it is always necessary to sit outside, because the restaurant is horribly, oppressively, uncomfortably noisy. If I couldnt sit outside, I would NEVER come here. The service is predictably excellent, the bar choices are wonderfully executed, and the food is mostly good: I ordered a dish with half a chicken according to the server, and received two LEG quarters, despite looking forward to the breast meat that one would normally find on half a chicken (who serves the bottom half of a chicken? EEWE!) Not wanting to embarrass my guest OR be poisoned by the chef, I ate a few bites and pretended to be overly full (Sorry, I must have a massive bezoar). But this was an expensive, unpleasant experience. So, try Ida Claire but DONT order the chicken.

Its always a good time at Ida Claire. My favorite spot is seating in the bar. I can see the drinks being made, chat with other customers. Some foods are hit or miss, in my opinion. I ordered the strawberry cobbler, and it was a disater it was less them room temperature, I ordered vanilla ice cream on the side so the dish would be cold faster. I had to ask the waiter if it was possible to warm it up, it come 2 time steaming hot, but the flavor was not there. It was my first time ordering a desert, so theres not much to say if Ill ordered a desert again, but my main dish Bay of fundy Salmon was perfect worthy a try for newbies at Idas Claire.

Excellent Southern fare in a well appointed atmosphere. Went here for the first time this evening and it was fantastic. The place settings were thoughtful, the service was top class, and the food was perfect. You have to get Idas biscuits as a starter. They are fantastic and its so cheap for what you get. I got the shrimp and grits and my wife ordered a Peach and Goat Cheese Salad. Both meals were perfect. The atmosphere is casual, upbeat, and comfortable without being too loud. We will be back. This is an amazing spot. The atmosphere and vibe are excellent, the service was exceptional (our waitress Olivia truly was outstanding). Everything we had was clearly fresh and well prepared. The menu had so many good looking options that were unique enough to inspire the desire to return. We started with the biscuits and a la ve en rose cocktail. The presentation along with the taste were superb! I had the peach and goat cheese salad with grilled shrimp - delicious! My husband had the shrimp and grits, I tried some of the grits, even though I dont care for them, and they were the best Id ever had. This restaurant has an amazing vibe to it!! While eating the window shades were being closed and little candles were put at the tables. Absolutely loved it!! I have never tried grits until I came here! Shrimp + Grits is a 20/10. So delicious!! The Nashville hot chicken was also really good. Well upon arrival we met with our hostess by the name of Erryn. This young lady treated us as if we were royalty. Fried chicken is the best I ve ever had. Soft, tender on the inside, crispy and delicious on the outside. We also got the Quiche, which had a great crust. Highly recommend. Stopped in on my way through town since it was patio dog friendly. Server stated she would bring water for the dog-never did, I got my own. The biscuits were dry and the pull apart cinnamon roll was small and underwhelming and did not have the consistency a cinnamon roll should have. There is not much I can tell you about this place. I was very disappointed in the service from the waitstaff. Because of the amt of vehicles in the lot my friend called to see if there was a long wait. She was told no. By the time we parked the car (cause we were IN the parking lot when she called) walked inside all of a sudden there was a 20-30 min wait. STRIKE 1 We chose to wait because that is where we chose to have brunch. When we inquired about the wait time and the phone call that we had just made one of the wait staff told the young lady that we were speaking to basically not to engage with us and to go get a manager. STRIKE 2 Manager comes up and speaks with us attempts to fix the problem by offering us a chefs table STILL not clear as to what that is... By this time its been the 20-minute original wait time. Now weve waited an additional 15-20 minutes so total in total weve waited almost an hour for a table and never got seated. STRIKE 3 We called over a second manager explained the situation again, she apologized, offered us her card and said she would get a table for us immediately by this time we declined and decided to go elsewhere. Was this a one off? The brunch moment is ruined for me...

Place is nice, was excited to try. Ordered the gumbo and requested loaded. Had a few bites, decent gumbo. Noticed I didnt get the crayfish and oysters added after a couple bites and requested them. Waiter was nice and said he would bring it out. Once he returned I asked if they could add more gumbo rue since it was thick and now full of seafood. He came back and said management said if I wanted more he would have to charge me for another full bowl. I mean it was a small portion in the first place. We ordered a number of other items and drinks to the town of upwards of $150. A ladle full of gumbo rue would not hurt and felt it was kinda rude considering they mistook the original order. Wasnt like I was asking for a refund.

This restaurant is highly favorable to the people! Beautiful restaurant with a real ambience to it! Felt like home as soon as you walked in! I loved the menu concepts and our waiter was super quick to all of our needs! I found the shrimp and grits was good, but not spectacularly. The sauce was amazing but I wish the grits itself carried more flavor. I also like how when you order chicken and waffles, you have the option to select hot chicken rather than the regular fried chicken. Now this place is packed so I do recommend getting a reservation on high volume times. It is quite popular and I would love to try more of their menu items. And it is nice to have a southern style restaurant that has the hype that it deserves!

I d been wanting to try this place for a long time, and decided to celebrate my 21st birthday here based on their drink menu. The drinks were amazing, and our waitress, Cassidy, chose my drink for me. She chose the carajillo, which was delicious and I d highly recommend trying it! She also gave us some food recommendations and was very friendly and helpful. The entire waitstaff went above and beyond and signed a card for me! The drinks and the food were all really good. The biscuit sauces were all delicious, and every dish we ordered was really good. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was easily one of the best Benedicts I ve ever had. Try this place out! We really enjoyed Ida Claire! Our server, MJ, was awesome-- super polite and attentive. The appetizers are delicious-- biscuits, fried green tomatoes, crab cake. Honest review as of June 2024: 1. I ve been visiting this place every now & then since 2020. A lots of things have changed in a bad way. 2. Food is amazing. 3. Ambience is great. Plenty of dining place, bar area and sitting sections. 4. Parking is free & has plenty of space. 5. I think, recently they went all female staff. 6. Service is lousy & unprofessional. 7. Food turnaround time is moderate. 8. Live music is a good touch. 9. Drinks are not good at all. All the female bartenders are doing less of a job in mixing the drinks than their male counterparts did back in 2020-2021. 10. Recommended to go with friends only, not suitable for date nights or family outings.
