I have been so stressed and fearful since United Healthcare dumped Nueces county Medicaid patients and I lost every doctor I have had for 17 years! I have been told that I have complex medical issues and Superior Healthcare doesnt cover any of my doctors and some of my medication. For weeks my insides just shake and the nausea has been unbearable at times. I called Coastal Bend Wellness and I havent even seen a doctor yet and Nellie was so warm, understanding and compassionate that I can hardly wait to see the doctor! She asked me about my health and told me which doctor I need to see. This is the first moment of peace I have had in months!

My experience was OK. I got there early (10:40am) for my 11am appointment. I want even called back until 12:45pm. They told me the internet was down... ok fine. My boyfriend also had an appointment at 1:40pm, he checked in early around noon. So they finish with me about 2ish, hes still in the waiting room, he finally goes up to see how much longer its going to be for him and the lady tells him he never checked in... the other girl was like yea he came up around noon. At this point the lady knows she messed up but she blames it on the computer saying they put him as a no show. She goes to ask the doctor is hell still see him, he says yes but itll be at least another hour..... it was your mistake, the other girl even knew and then to lie and try to make him wait. Just ridiculous.

I want to be able to support the local LGBTQ+ friendly clinic. However, my experience so far has been extremely frustrating. The psychiatry NP cant prescribe my ADHD meds and the doctors cant prescribe pain medication. Last Monday, I waited an hour and a half to see Dr. Davy Shepherd for my intense ovarian cyst pain, only for him to tell me there was little he could prescribe to help. He didnt send in my prescription for Naltrexone until Thursday night, after I called the clinic every day about it. Then, Walgreens said they didnt carry this dosage and could not fill the prescription. I also started researching the medication on my own and found alarming side effects, such as the fact that in any emergency situation, opioids would not help me as long as I am taking Naltrexone. Meanwhile, I am trying to work and go on with my life despite debilitating pain. Hopefully Dr. Shepherd can refer me to a pain management doctor soon so I can get some relief. On a positive note, the administrative staff who answer the phones and schedule appointments have always been kind and patient with me.

I recently had the worst healthcare experience of my life. During my visit with Dr. G, I experienced a panic attack due to his aggressive and unempathetic demeanor. He treated me like an addict, using a probing tactic I recognized, likely because he did not want to prescribe me a certain medication, even though I was almost out of it and had brought it with me. For the past 15 years, I have been taking a combination of drugs, including one controlled substance, for my mental health. I always cooperate with forms and tests when needed, which is the typical protocol. However, when I voiced my concerns at the desk, I discovered that not even the psychiatrist at this location would prescribe clonazepam. I am at a loss as to why, as healthcare providers, they did not inform me of this policy before my visit, especially since I am always transparent about my medication needs. This lack of communication wasted my time and left me struggling to find the proper provider to fill my prescriptions, which are crucial for preventing self-harm and harm to others. Someone else summed it up well: great mission, poor management. Dr. G s bedside manner needs to be evaluated, as he left me feeling hopeless, causing another panic attack when I discussed the situation with a family member. Wish me luck in resolving this issue.

Dr.Eric Spicuzza is a wonderful doctor from day one he has shown he cares for his patients.I have the privilege of being one of his patients and he has gone above and beyond with my health care.Him and his medical assistant Alexis have worked miracles in my care and many other patients at CBWF.I not only am a patient but I too am employed with the CBWF.I recently got diagnosed with HAE type 3 a very rare condition.I was sent to. Specialist who basically told me it was my fault that my insurance would not pay for my life savings medications and I needed to get better insurance I have two policies Humana POS and Cigna CVS care mark .Dr.Spacuzza and his MA Alexis got my medications covered by my insurance in a total of 24 hrs or so. What one Dr who is a specialist in Corpus failed to do Another GOT IT Done .Im for ever thankful

If you need paperwork filled out and you pay $50 expedited, dont expect this office to have any respect for the time frame they promise. Even if you pay good money for that service. Its not important to this office to keep a deadline for a person depending on paperwork being filled out even if that persons job is on the line.

I wish I could give more stars , but I am highly upset with this office sense of urgency. I called letting them know I was in the ER due to a bad virus and I was needing to be seen or talk to a nurse I was having an extremely hard time breathing due to my asthma and this cough associated with this virus . I was told I would receive a call back shortly . I did not hear back so I called again just touching base. I was told by someone in the front that they would get to my message when they re done with clinic and then return my call. I stressed I needed to speak to a nurse because I did not want to end up back in the ER due to the cough triggering the asthma, and was still brushed off .. I never got a call back that day as I was told .. I ended up back in the ER and was provided better service there. They gave me meds needed to help me breathe and calm the cough . I got a call back next day at 430pm from the nurse , tried to return her call and was put on hold for 10 mins and probably forgotten about . The sense of urgency is very upsetting . We are people who need help and shouldn t be brushed off.. the only nice person is Norma up front . She s very sweet and kind and attentive. None of this review is directed towards her. Otherwise if you need help quickly you re better off going elsewhere sad you can t depend on your own doctor office anymore for help.

A patient faced discrimination due to their autism and endured verbal abuse and threats from multiple staff members. The incident is currently under investigation. The patient did not receive a proper assessment and was administered incorrect medication on several occasions. When the patient raised concerns, they faced retaliation instead of a resolution. The behavior displayed was highly unprofessional and indicative of inadequate training. Adult males at the facility verbally mistreated a young woman in need of assistance, causing additional medical needs and emergency services from another provider. Furthermore, the patients medical records were not considered before baseless and horrendous accusations were made. Patient was laughed at, lied to, and HIPPA laws were violated. Such conduct is deserving of shame and condemnation. Exercise caution, as it appears that this facility is not focused on providing medical care to patients; instead, there are many indications of mistreatment and exploitation. Just read the other bad reviews!

Update They now have a self check in that is REQUIRED. If you dont check in online by your appointment time they cancel your appointment. Why do they even have staff if the staff there didnt work. 4 people at the check in desk and ALL WERE TOO BUSY GOSSIPING. THIS PLACE IS JUST ABOUT GETTING THE MOST MONEY FROM GOVERNMENT BY REQUIRING LABS, ETC.... THE SPEND DOWN PROGRAM. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS. I thought things would change when Dr Perez became new physician director but just now off the same. You want good healthcare? STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They only want to see well patients. They dont do sick visit appointments or walk ins. I called to get my son an appointment with his pcp Dr Perez because he was sick, and they said the next available was in 3 to 4 months. They suggested I take him to the ER. Their appointments are always 3 to 6 months out. They only give prescriptions for 3 months, so we always have to request a new refill on all medications, which take 2 to 4 weeks for approval. They request labwork but dont give you results for anything such as lab work or imagining. If they do, itll be until months later. Terrible customer service, the staff are always busy chatting with each other and rudely act like you just interrupted them as if helping you isnt part of their job. They just dont have enough good caring doctors. The negative attitude of the staff is a representation of the leadership at this Holly clinic. Poor leadership equals poor staff/employees. Its contagious. They need a major overhaul to actually fix this place. I suggest you find another clinic.

I had an appointment today waited 45 mins in the lobby before I got callled, just to tell me that the Doctor wanted to reschedule because he wanted me to get labs done first. I was not told I needed labs before I see the Doctor, never got a text, call or email. Then they are telling me all this in the lobby in front of everyone. No respect

Great Service ... but do not wait to hear your ultrasound results!! Even though I received the best service from the nurse during my visit last month. This Wednesday , she left a message in my cell and after that , it has been impossible to talk to anyone. Yesterday I called 5 times (leaving a message every time with the operator) and today 3 times. I hope my test results are good because the wait might kill me of a heart attack!

The lady answers only to say please hold then leaves a patient on hold and never picks up call.Medical has been in non compliance/ very negligent as I am handicapped w/medical issues that require sooner appointments every two weeks.I had an appointment last Friday and was told I would be able to pick my prescriptions up on Monday.I go to pharmacy and nothing was ever called in.I need prescriptions for medical knee brace and came and Walker or wheelchair and to go to pain management as I have been neglected constantly by staff and Dr. Thank you and need help or dont burn my insurance.

I came with a friend as support during their testing. I thought it was just sexual health but they do everything and its all right there (with some obvious exceptions). The staff was so super friendly and helpful that i ended up switching my doctor to theirs. Ive been going over a year and never had one issue. And i always see the same doctor, unlike with christus where you get whoever is available.

If I had a choice to go with a different PCP office based on Insurance coverage and PCP availability, I will do it in a heartbeat. This practice had provided me inconvenience multiple times. They are the worst in terms of communicating accurate information to their patients. It seems that their staff are not competent or just not communicating with each other.

If you have medicaid, I don t recommend this place. Especially if you are really sick and have pre existing conditions. If you need a specialist, they do not do any work for you. You literally have to do all the leg work yourself and look for a specialist yourself. They put the medicaid clients at the bottom of their list. You will get very stressed out and because of their lack of ownership and responsibility your condition may get worse. From personal experience, if you are sick and need assistance with a specialist this is not the place for you.

Naomi was very nice on the phone but i was disconnected and started over 3 times when trying to make an appointment, then the lady who initially answers after the answering machine was incredibly rude to me. I was making an appointment as a new patient after my paperwork went through and i kept getting rerouted to her. Each time she was snippy and the final time she spoke to me she was so rude I decided I would find another doctor. like I said Naomi was so nice but if my first encounter was already that bad im not willing to keep going back.

Dr.Franklin was the most unprofessional, arrogant, rude doctors I ve ever seen in my whole life. . Went to get treated for something and was disrespected, he made me feel uncomfortable to where another Nurse had to stand in to observe his behavior. He kept interrupting me, questioned me, felt very judged. If you treat your own patients way you shouldn t be a doctor at all. You re supposed to be there for us and help us. No make us feel uncomfortable in a place where we re supposed to receive help and support. Came to the point to where he was so rude I had to get up and leave the room crying. Truly disgusted.

We highly recommend to see them if you are having any issues and are homosexual or have family that are. We have never delt with anything like this but they know exactly what to do. What ya think, then hand stuff and write your name, wait a few and then they call your name. You feel like you won in a game show & then reality hits you. Even though your there for your most private things; your health and you feel a little weird. Then the doctor walls in and they usually grin with a howdy how are You? Then you got to your safe place; as she begins to tell you how you are. This is good and this is great; but Id like to try this with you. Then in medical talk explaining what is what, I turned my head as like what are you saying; so she grins and explained to me. Then before leaving, she tells me what I may need to change or do; plus dont forget to eat your veggies....then that happy grin comes back again in 6 months. My response sometimes has been 6, why not 3. I LIKE IT HERE, as i smile. On the way out, everyone is so friendly saying, Good bye, see ya soon, and always BE GOOD, SEE YA! This place is the most convenient well thought out place for what it does and who it sees. They are very welcoming and so caring. Its open to the public not just LGBTQ members. You must qualify under certain guide lines to recive certain services but im sure if your looking to just know the status of your STD or even your HIV/AIDS health they will pencil you right in. The good thing about it is that testing is free and yall find out in about 20min of your HIV/AIDS status and than about a week your STD status. It was as painless as a (finger preck) as if you wear testing for diabetes. That simple that fast. The other great thing is that they have on site doctors that really care and are the most helpful staff cause they really listen and want the best for there clients needs. I give them a A+ or 10 stars if they had an opposition to do so. They have an on site pharmacy located right in the building so every thing is in walking distance. But the really emprissive thing that I love the most is that they send me text messages with reminders like to take meds, appointment dates, tips on sexual habbits and prevention of speeding the viruses. They really are a great gruop of workers. Keep up the woynderful work your doing guys.

I have been coming for almost a year now and the service was great. But recently, I scheduled an appointment weeks in advanced (which was scheduled for a Tuesday) and they said I was good to go (mind you I live in Kingsville). Then I show up to my appointment just for them to have clinical/lab training the whole day with no prior call to my contact information to let me know. I was patient and the lady rescheduled me for that Friday. I called prior to coming since I was driving from Kingsville and took off from work and I spoke with the lady and she said yes we are open as long as you are here by 3:30. I show up and guess what they tell me? Oh, sorry but there are no labs today. Our lab technician is out for the day. Can you come back Monday? I said, No, that s fine. Can you go ahead and cancel my appointment for next month? I told them they should ve at least called me and confirm the appointment or let me know as I have been a patient for a long period of time. Short story: I won t be coming here anymore. Yes, everyone has their own experiences. Unfortunately, mine was not good!

I needed to get in ASAP as new patient instead of heading to the ER. Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation was so caring from start! The employee was beyond kind over the phone and the kindness maintained throughout the entire visit. I left there feeling in very good hands.

This is by far the worst organization I have been to. No one answers their phone when you have a problem. Their return call ratio is horrible. There s total confusion in getting meds in time. The receptionist and Dr. Jarrell are the only good things about this place.

Incredible resource for the LGBTQ+ community in Corpus Christi. It really is a godsend. Wonderful friendly staff, resources all in one place, a great support group, informed consent clinic. They do sliding scale and also take insurance. They even offer discount cards for medication which actually came in handy! Dont forget to grab one of those !

First class organization that lives up to its name. They help a wide variety of people, theyre the only ones that would help me cure a very bad situation that the VA in Corpus had actually created! They have an intake/screening process that weeds out people that abuse free help, and provides real help for those that need some. I love the whole staff here.

The doctors at this office are very thoughtful of their patients and actually listen to you about what is going on with you. I recommend that everyone go to this place if you need medical assistance. Thank yall for helping me with my wrist. I may not have the money to pay right now, but I will pay for all the help eventually. I cant work right now but I will be working pretty soon thanks to yall...
