I was SO disappointed in the Emerald Beach Hotel. We had no toilet paper, no hot water and it was hard to retrieve clean towels. The room reeked of a smell of mold. The balcony doors was covered in some sort white substance on them. The wallpaper was peeling. When we went to the front desk, there was no one present. There was no manager for me tell of my disappointment and frustration. When talking to the locals. It was said the owners are rich and own another business in town and allegedly do not care for that property either. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I would give this hotel a minus 1000 but I can t find a way to do it. I asked for the manager and was informed he was not there at 3 pm in the afternoon. I asked for the owner to contact me and gave them my number. No one has. There was no hot water, the restaurant was closed for renovation, water marks were all over, wall paper was peeling off the walls and there were no phones in the room. The front desk supervisor was out side smoking and was not answering the phone. When I asked about the phone he said they were not working. The inside bar was closed. When I asked for the manager he was of course not there. All I kept getting was they were closing for renovation. I told them I wanted my money back and was informed that the only way was to get a room at the holiday inn express next door and bring the room key back and show him. I did that and again he was outside smoking. When I showed him the key he then said I got the reservation through a third party and I would have to call them. I sat there at the front desk and they did refund my money. But the hundred dollars deposit was billed to my American expense. Which I am disputing. Stay at a MOTEL 6 before you book a room here! Absolutely filthy, rundown, NO HOT WATER FOR THE ENTIRE STAY, the staff is incompetent, they have ROACHES and the entire facility is in disrepair. RUN!!! Rooms: Absolutely disgusting. Dead bugs, missing parts of floors and walls, hair on beds, absolutely NO HOT WATER THE ENTIRE STAY! Safety: About as safe as a Motel 6.

This place is old, dirty, unkept, and reaks. Not worth 1/2 the cost. Sadly, I had better accommodation with my poncho liner and a tree to lean against. Staff were good at check-in, but after that, they didnt help at all. Virtually no maid service over the couple nights. No refresh of towels coming in from the beach. The room looked like it wasnt cleaned between guests, too. I definitely would not recommend this place and would rather sleep on the beach. Rooms: Disgusting! Nearby activities: Rocky beach, parks in walking distance, and good restaurants in walking distance. Safety: Wouldnt let me teens out after dark without me. We didnt have any warm or hot water to shower. When it stormed our ceiling started to cave in. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night.We were told we were going to get a discount but we didnt. We also didnt get our $100 deposit back. We had our annual conference at the Emerald Beach this past week. This was a big event that we had planned for 1 year. We are a non-profit group whose funds are very tight. When we arrived on the 1sr day, the banquet staff was not ready with our breakfast items. In fact, they said that there was nothing in the kitchen and had to keep running next door to the Holiday Inn Express to get cups, flatware, supplies, etc. This was a planned event, not last minute, no excuses. Then the rain started outside and INSIDE. Ceiling starting dripping water in both of our conference rooms. Lunch came, everyone lined up and stated to get their plates and salads. A banquet employee came out of the kitchen and told everyone to STOP that the chef was running late and told the huge line of guests that it would be another 10 minutes. It was already 12:15 and our planned lunch was at noon. Rain from the ceiling started coming down into guests meals and drinks as well as their clothing. At some point in the afternoon, I told the sales staff that our table had to be moved because the table was soaked as well as a few chairs. Through out the day, no one refilled our water dispenser. I had to ask 3 times for it to be refilled. The 3rd time, no one came. Banquet employee was rolling a low cart from room to room with glasses of iced tea and dumping ice all over the floor where our sponsors were all set up. Didn t bother to stop, pick-up or ask us to do it. We had to clean it up since someone could ve fallen. There are so many other things that happened over our 2 day conference that were disappointing, embarrassing and unacceptable. I will never visit this hotel again or recommend it. There is little or no communication between sales and banquet staff. No wifi for processing of payments at our conference, PPT presentations as well as for our guests to check work emails is unbelievable. One of our sponsors, not the hotel IT staff, had to connect a router in the main ballroom to try and get a signal. Complete mess for almost 9K.

Stayed here for one night and overall was a good experience. There was mold throughout our room, which you could smell and see, so that was concerning. We had an ocean view, so we spent a lot of time out on the balcony. The Emerald Beach / McGee Beach was easy to access which was a plus. At check in, we got charged a deposit (which was a first for me). We didn t have to pay for parking and I m not sure if it s because we booked through Priceline or not. We didn t use any of the amenities so my review doesn t regard those. Our A/C in our room worked, along with tv, fridge and microwave. The hotel was run down, but we realized it was built in 1965. If they could control there mold problem, I would give it more stars!

They say breakfast is provided, when we arrived it chgd to Continental breakfast, which was a lie. It was stale sliced bread and awful coffee. After 2 days the water for shower was freezing. On 3rd day there was no water to shower, but yet toilet is flushable and sink water is available. I called front desk and maintenance is supposed to come..when does this happen at a hotel?? After theres no running water I go down there and he tells me theres no water until 12 or maybe 2pm this evening. I ask him why he didnt tell me that earlier, he said because I was rude ...of course..he tells me I can leave..Im from AZ and weve already paid. They called police and the police said the hotel had the right to throw me out, it didnt matter that I paid for the stay. Police left. We packed up and left. This is my last post and I do not want a response from Management. We were displaced and we were from out of state. We had appts to keep that day. Do you read your reviews? You are just stating what sounds right and what should be said. You dont give a crap about the customers. You are the one responsible for your crappy old hotel and what happens inside it. Fix it..work on it..close it..When we book we cannot see all that. The counter person was lying about the maintenance man and I disrespected him..thats it. He should have better customer service skills in dealing with people. You approved police being notified because you could..thats it. Not because it was warranted.

Its so bad. Honestly, so so bad. These reviews are your warning! It was a terrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE. When we checked there was people at the front desk complaining about no running water and the AC not working. So we decided to take a chance and see if our room would be any better. It wasnt. We could not open the door to the room, it was 2 of us pushing the door open to find out that the room was GROSS. Dirty floor, sheets and bathroom with hair. We DID NOT stay there. We asked for a refund and they said no, that it was non-refundable. We left and booked at another hotel for the night.

Rooms: The first room they gave us the sliding glass door would not open. The door handle was broken and hanging off. Also the glass was so dirty and full of moisture we couldn t see out. I walked over to the front desk because the room phone did not work. They eventually changed our room. The door opened but the same opaque glass problem with the glass so we couldn t see the sea unless we opened the door. It was very hot and humid. There was broken glass all over our little seating area outside and the plexiglass railing was so covered in paint and other dirt that we couldn t see the view while seated. Kind of defeated the reason why we paid extra for the bay front room. The floors were really dirty. The curtains were so filthy we didn t want to touch them. That phone also did not work. Plus it was so grimy I didn t want to touch it. There was a smell of mold in the room. Mildew on the lamp shade. Bathtub was clogged up. No hot water. There was a brown stain on the coverlet on the bed which I didn t notice until the third morning because it was under a duvet cover. Yuck. There were people (non-guests) walking by our sliding glass door and seating area constantly. Day and night. Anyone can just go walking around the guest areas. We did not feel secure. The only good thing about this room was the bed was comfortable and the a/c was good. Also they advertised that they had a restaurant and an indoor bar but there was neither. Just some gnarly looking sandwiches in a little fridge at the front desk.

There were no can liners in the trash there was rust all over the shower where the disgusting soap dispensers were! This place is the absolute worst and they are getting away with charging very expensive rates for nothing! Horrible experience, horrible property! It s so bad that I will be calling the health department! Please don t believe the reviews you will not be pleased with this crack motel. Amazing and Affordable! I have lived in CC for 34 years and love to staycation here at Emerald Beach Hotel! The hospitality and staff are so very welcoming, friendly, helpful and respectful. My favorite room is #504 with a balcony overlooking the bay with a gorgeous waterfront view that wraps around the side of the building with lots of windows allowing natural light in the most spacious and beautiful room with a large and very comfortable King sized bed. They take pride in cleanliness. I look forward to many more great moments here at the Emerald Beach Hotel.

I came here to celebrate my birthday at the beach. The hotel was in horrible condition. The fire alarm kept going off in the building and no one was doing anything. I tried calling front desk multiple times but never got an answer. The bathroom was dirty and didn t have any soap!The door to the patio was very very hard to open and seemed broken so we didn t get to use our balcony. There is sharp rusty metal on the walls and railings of balcony, very dangerous for kids. The furniture inside had food marks/stains on the leather. The tv was not working properly and had no signal. The fridge was froze over and the food/cake went bad inside. I had to cut my stay short and just go back home because it was raining and the power kept going in and out in the room. I was miserable in the room. When I went to the hot tub the jets were broken. The breakfast had nothing but a piece of toast and jelly. Do not waste your money paying for this hotel it smells like Mold and urine. I did not enjoy my birthday here.

Awful awful awful. I don t understand how this place is still operating. I wish we chose anywhere else. 4 nights here was way too much. Our room was a pool view but what we looked at was a stairwell, the pool was to the right. Not a relaxing spot at all. It s so loud being by the pool. It s indoors so it echoes, and there s carpet!! I can t imagine what s growing in that carpet. People are allowed to use huge party speakers up until quiet time, no matter how rude. The whole property is decrepit, falling apart in every aspect. The staff was practically invisible. And when they were around they were rude! I didn t see anyone cleaning. Our room was never cleaned during our stay but we didn t ask either. The room was gross even, everything looks dirty. Even at the front desk they seemed to hangout in the back. The breakfast was literally two coffee pots, a bowl of tiny soft apples and dry crusty pastries. We found out on the last day guests were going across the hall to the Holiday Inn Express to eat their breakfast. That was a silver lining. No WIFI in just the rooms by the pool, apparently they took down their WIFI tower and don t tell you that you won t have internet. Even parking is a nightmare, you re fighting beach goers for spots, so once again the Holiday Inn Express saved the day having a big enough parking lot. Also it s extra to park there overnight which is so stupid. Just include it in the price! By our room there was a door that was broken and slammed shut, every time someone went in or out it woke us up. I know it s an old building and right up against the water but there were roaches everywhere. The real kicker is the pictures on the hall walls, showing the Emerald Beach in its old glory. Like a tease of what it used to be. Now it s a laughable disgusting mess.

This hotel is more expensive than what you get. The rooms are not well maintained and have poor water pressure with no hot water. I went to this hotel 2 weeks ago and rented 2 rooms, the rooms were ok but the floors were very dirty. When I was about to check out I went to the front desk and asked about the check out time and she said around 12 or so. I checked out around 12:10 and my 3 yrs old nephew had an accident so we went back to the room to clean him up since it was still open , the housekeeping staff were cleaning the rooms next to ours , we finished and left. In the middle of the day I received a phone call from the front desk saying that it was almost 1 pm and some of our belongings were still in the room and they were going to charge us $60 dollars extra per room. Keep in mind it was a Wednesday afternoon and the hotel was not busy at all. I called them back and explained the situation and she insisted that theses charges were valid and she wasn t going to refund me the money, I told her how about you charge for one room only because of what happened and still insisted on charging my credit card $120 dollars. The location is perfect, exit to the beach, I went to this hotel 3 or 2 years ago and it was worth it. Now that we returned a week ago, I do NOT recommend it at all. BEWARE!!!!!!! BLACK MOLD AND BEDBUGS!!!!!! The room smells like mold the moment you walk in. I got bit and started to investigate. We saw a piece of a bedbug on the mattress, and there were bed bug droppings all along the mattresses AND all over the curtains. When we moved the mattresses back, there was black mold all over the wall. Dressors were broken and dirty, the walls were dirty. We were unable to connect to Wifi, and you have to pay for parking. To say I am disappointed with this hotel would be an understatement. I am so disgusted with the entire place. Who charges for parking AND breakfast when you ve already rented a room?! Trash was littered everywhere including inside the hallways. Our room had a smell (most likely mold) although I didn t see any visible. We had a room facing the beach, but our sliding door leading to the beach was covered with scratches and white paint so you couldn t even see out. The furniture was worn and tattered. Please save your money and book with a different hotel!

Downtown hotel right on the beach. Great location. This must have been a beautiful hotel years ago. Now and days it s older and a little shabby though the rooms have been updated a bit. They are sufficiently clean and the bedding is nice. But they only stock three sets of towels at a time even for a double room. The rooms facing the beach and pool seem to be a bit more spacious. Our first room was in the main section of the hotel on the 5th floor. We moved to a beachfront room because the ac in our first room wasn t functioning correctly. The rooms have mini fridge and microwaves which is convenient. The restaurant was ok but the staff is so friendly. There is a bar and a volleyball net on the beach. The pool is indoors and there is also a gym. My only real complaint though is the parking is very limited and it s $10 a day which is kind of the norm now especially with the rooms being less than $200 a night. Also the hotel next door, Holiday Inn, has the same owner and they have a huge parking lot which is where we had to park one night. Overall not luxurious but comfortable. There are lots of guests that are loud and wet walking everywhere which didn t bother me but I could see how some guests were uncomfortable

Do not recommend staying here. You have to pay $10 for parking each day even though they don t have enough spots. We stayed 2 nights and majority of the time we had to park at the Holiday Inn next door because their parking was full. Also, we didn t have their breakfast but this was posted on the elevator. Rooms: The hotel is very outdated in its entirety - popcorn ceiling, rusty, old creeky elevator, etc. The beds are comfortable. TVs are small and not smart (only a few channels available)

(A hotel), I describe it archly, the air does not WORK, a horrible smell, everything is very bad, it is my first time, and I will never return here, apart from that I asked for my money to be refunded and they did not say no, I am very annoying, its a real , the rooms are horrible, the ceilings are falling, cockroaches in the hallways, personally it doesnt deserve even 1 star, I dont know why the city doesnt take these comments into account, and He only knows how to say, thank you for preference we apologize,

The location and amenities are great ! The additional parking fees an inconvenience , it should be included with booking . The building itself needs a lot of loving . It is outdated and our room was super uncomfortable. The AC thermostat was available but not working , it was set on fan mode, and super sticky . Not cold at all! The restroom toilet had pee all in the seat and back seat. And There was mold all on our walls , the front desk rep said she ll let the Maintenance know and left us in the room still.value and price do not add up!!! I would not recommend staying here !

I m genuinely worried that this hotel is unsafe because of the conditions we saw while staying there: My husband leaned on a wall and his hand went right through it, revealing that the wall itself AND everything behind it (including the stud) was completely rotten and crumbling. Everything was wet and moldy. We took photos and videos to the front desk, and they moved us to a room down the hall, but it made us very uneasy about the condition of the rest of the building. I also had a sore throat for the rest of our stay. Within a few minutes of getting most of our stuff out of the room, my husband went back in to get the last things and saw that the maintenance guys had ripped down the entire section of the wall with their bare hands (that s how rotten it all was). After that had happened, noticed a lot of other signs of things falling apart that really worried me. Balconies with rotting and crumbling support beams under them, moldy carpet, moldy ceiling tiles, bubbles in the ceiling paint, etc. As far as just staying there in general: it was very dirty. Everywhere. Everything was dated, rundown, filthy, and miserable. The photos and videos online look so different than the reality. The pool is depressing and the small arcade area by in is almost entirely broken machines, plus an air hockey table with no pucks. The pool is full of sand, and the hot tub doesn t work. The only way to rinse sand off at the beach are a couple of showers that are ON the sand, and they barely worked, so everyone just tracks sand everywhere because we found we really didn t have a choice. Keeping sand off of our room floor was so impossible we resorted to buying lots of socks to wear around so we didn t lose our minds, and made paths of towels along the floors. This is also the reason the pool is full of sand, I figure. The bathroom had visible mold, and there was no fan to remove humidity so that s not surprising. There are no plugs for the tubs so we had to awkwardly wash our small child who doesn t take showers yet with a cup. There was a homeless man at the entrance of the hotel parking lot angrily screaming at cars. One night the lobby staff was just getting high together. The neighbor above us was smoking weed and it just filled every inch of our room with the smell. The hallway to our rooms had no working lights and had the most disgusting old dirty carpet you can imagine. The sliding glass door to our porch was so dirty we re could barely see the view, and it was too hard to open. The tv didnt work. The bathroom sink was full of gnats.

Really loved it here! I will stay here again! Had a great view from my room! Was able to sit outside of my room and absorb the beautiful waves and beach life! Rooms: Enjoyed the space and view from room Nearby activities: Near by was boat charters, jet ski, and other water sports. Safety: Onsite pool had someone there at all times watching! Hotel had a nice set up on their security! I felt safe at all times! Food and drinks: There was a bar on the beach! The hotel had a restaurant for breakfast! IHOP was just 5mins away by car

So, I had a great time here. I know the sea air is salty and the winds are freely blowing. This spot was great now improving the parking, highlights to the areas you walk for access need some updates ( stairs need to be a bit bigger and be nice to have a ramp. Many people have coolers and such to carry. The staff was nice and maybe access to a broom for the sand you will always get every place you can think of. So, for the live music and exciting people. Id do it again. The parking needs to be better. We went for the access to the beach. So water and everything in the room worked fine. Thank you for the getaway

Worst service ever!! Found dirty socks in the bed, ac can not be controlled from your room. The first room we were put in the ac don t even work, then ac never got below 72-73 degrees. After having to pay extra for parking on the hotel grounds after booking the room we had to pay additional for parking once we arrived. Came back from the beach and supper and found there was NO available parking space and was told at the front desk just wait a little bit and one will become available . We have stayed here a couple of times before and it seems new management has taken over and made it worse than it was before. Be careful if you re considering staying here, I d find somewhere else. This will be the last time our Family stays here.

This hotel is soo ghetto for the money you pay, looks nothing like the pic online! Really deciding! Asian girl checked me in didnt speak English. Sooo dirty. Filth is unreal here. Also u pay to park 10$ extra. Couldnt even see out my patio Bayview door and I was there for the view. Hair in tub and toilet floor sticky and gross. Only thing is good location. This beach use to be pretty now its trash . People let there dog poop on sand didnt pick it up. Trash everywhere. For 170. I was expecting better.

Older hotel and not the most beautiful, but it s right on the beach!! We stay here twice a year and always get the king suite with a balcony overlooking the beach. Prices are decent, parking is a little extra, but I ve never had a complaint while staying here. There s a breakfast buffet in the mornings and an outside bar that is less than 30 feet from the water. I never used the indoor pool, because the ocean is right there. I always recommend Emerald Beach Hotel and we ll be back in the fall! Rooms: Get a suite. Very large with a patio. Perfect for a 3+ day visit.

This hotel is really dirty. The bathroom had mold on the corner, dirty blankets, and stained towels, as well as a super dirty pool with sand inside of it because people come from the beach straight into the pool without having to clean the sand or other things off themselves. Another thing is that there are people as soon as you step out of your hotel room asking you for money and making you feel very uncomfortable . Do not recommend this hotel to anyone

Ceiling tile came crashing down on last day of stay. Fortunately no one was injured. We did let front desk know, and made multiple calls to the manager, who did not do anything about it. In one email, the manager did say that she would make it right but there was no follow-up. Buyer beware. We paid full price for a safe and sanitary room. Does it look like it was safe and sanitary?

We stayed here for 2 nights in May there was no hot water. We asked when it would be fixed they said 2 hours. Nope not fixed we asked again, they said oh it should be on shortly. Nope we went our whole stay with no hot water. They never came to clean the room this stay was horrible. I will tell everyone I know to not stay here. We thought it was nice being by the water that was the only nice thing. Parking is horrible as well. We were supposed to get a partial refund for one night it never happened. Priceline who we booked through was no help with this as well. The picture below was our floor. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. Me and my family stayed here and it was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If I could give ZERO STARS I would. You have to pay $10 a day for parking, also $10 a day for a resort fee. They ask for a $100 deposit on a card and when it s refunded to you it takes a couple of days. But it doesn t take a couple of days to take your money When it s night you don t have no where to park. On the first night we got there the AC was not working in our room and it was dirty the floors looked and felt like they haven t been mopped in a long time. I went down and complained and the girl told me she would have maintenance check it out and she can move me to a different room down the hall. As I m moving all of my things with 3 kids my 2 year old falls and cracks his head open where I had to take him to the ER. When I arrived back i got up to the room my restroom ceiling was leaking and the beds had ANTS in them. I went down and asked for the manager cause this has been a major inconvenience but they weren t there. I was told they can give me 10% off and the manager would be in tomorrow. I go the next day and I was told the manager was at the new building and to leave a message. I left a message and went on with my day. When I arrived back I was told the manager would be in at 8am but they never came in. I was given the run around. So when checkout came I run into the General manager and he says he wasn t suppose to be in . I explained all the issues and he says I can refund you one night. I told him I needed their insurance information for my son s head. He stated that my incident report would go to corporate and their insurance would call me. When I arrived home, I called them and stated that I never got a call and if I could have the number to corporate. The manager told me they don t have a corporate and they re privately owned that someone will call me. I have yet to get a call and it s been two weeks.

One of my family members couldnt find her credit card and she said she kept it in her purse and never took it out, since the card she made purchases with was a different one. We all just think its funny that when we went to the beach and then the pool we come back and see that the room was cleaned and the bed was made so we knew that housekeeping came in (keep in mind my family member had not even touched her purse let alone her debit card). It was later that night that she was going through her purse and couldnt find her debit card where she had left it BEFORE housekeeping came in. Now thats the first thing but then while we were in the car on our way to San Marco someone remembered that we left the bags of our merch from the Selena museum and it just so happens that the person who packed most of the bags said she never packed up anything that we bought from the museum. We called the hotel and asked if they could look for it but whats weird is that Its a bag that definitely doesnt look like trash and when you lift it its heavy enough to know it has something in it so theres no way it could have been mistaken for trash. That bag had merch that cost $106 dollars and we still havent gotten any news of whether or not it has been found but I will update if we get any news. -10/10 Unless you dont care about your stuff then stay here with horrible service if you want too but I dont recommend this Hotel. Safety: Keep your valuables very hidden because they like to clean rooms when your not there

As every other review will tell you, this place is not where you want to stay. I stayed there for a week, not by choice, and it was the worst experience Ive had at a hotel. There was no warm water in the showers and the air conditioning did not work, making the hotel room disgustingly warm. The beach access was just a crappy part of the beach with litter everywhere. The pool was not kept up on and was quite dirty to swim in. The elevators in the place were so tiny, itd be stuffed even having 4 people in it. Along with the already overpriced room, we had to pay for parking and breakfast as well. While we were there, there was also many leaks in the room and throughout the hotel and the place smelt of mildew along with weed. I would not wish staying here upon anyone, a motel 6 wouldve been a huge upgrade compared to here.

Do not waste your money on this DISGUSTING PLACE! Mold and mildew ALL OVER. Furniture/rooms not properly cleaned. The ceiling literally falling in some of the bathrooms. By far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. The only good thing about this hotel is the location but, even that is not worth it. The staff is not helpful and not even pleasant to their guests. They have a very indifferent attitude about everything because even they know how bad it is. You have to pay to park but they oversell their lot so you wont always have a spot even if you paid for one. The restaurant food is gross and over priced. The pool is heated and gross to say the least. The hot tub doesnt even work and probably hasnt in years so dont expect to use that. Every other guest we talked to had the same complaints. Dont ruin your vacation/trip by staying here! I have photos of the whole place and our nasty room, which unfortunately I cannot figure out how to post or I definitely would, and they DO NOT look at all like the photos on this businesses page! Do not be fooled by them! The photos they use are from 10 years ago! This place is a SLUM!

The only reason I gave 1 star is because i cannot give 0!!!!! Our experience wasby far the worst experience of any where we have stayed. 1st Room we stayed in was suppose to have a pull out sofa. When I went to go let the front desk know it was not in the room, it started to rain and my husband noticed the window was leaking. So the front desk moved us down the hall to another room. 2nd room did not have working AC or a working microwave. We called front desk and were then told because of us booking through the softball tournament they would move us however they were limited to rooms that were in the block. 3rd room did not have any hot water, extremely low water pressure, the floors look to have not been mopped in a long time, and also did not have a pull out sofa. We were brought a small cot that looked to have not been updated in years as it was outdated, flat and smelly. Then at midnight, June 18th a false fire alarm went off. We then ran down 5 flights of stairs in panic to then be told that it was a false alarm in a manner that showed absolutely no concern. This alarm then continues going off for over 45 minutes, even after we were told it was off. It continued extremely loud right outside the door. While this may seem a normal occurance, we were told they had to disconnect the fire alarm because they could not figure out how to turn it off. This makes it a fire hazard if a real fire were to occur. I highly suggest not to book here. If you have booked, cancel immediately. I also do not want any apologies from the management. I have contacted and emailed with no response of any type.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel two years ago and had a great experience and time. This time however was a horrible experience. First off, there was no free parking unless you wanted to park at the next door hotel that was under heavy construction taking a chance on having your vehicle damaged or vandalized. First room they had us in #408 has very little A/C and we spent the night sweating. The next day they moved us to the top floor in A handicap room #701. The A/C was a little better and we were ok. We went out on the beach and were covered in sand and salt from having fun on the wave runners. We needed a shower and lo and behold, our room had no water pressure or hot water. There was a nice maintenance man that got us another room for the third time and yes it did have good water pressure and enough hot water for one shower, yes, one shower, then had to wait 30 minutes for hot water again . We finally got good sleep that night and decided to have fun for our vacation that was going to be from that Saturday to the next Friday. We went out to our vehicle and they had a nasty ticket looking thing stating we haven t payed for parking. Now I have payed well over $1000.00 to stay at your hotel but I have to pay to park there?? That wasn t the case two years ago and if it was, we wouldn t have stayed there this time. Enough was enough and we decided to cut our vacation short after just two nights there and take a loss on all the money we payed. Oh, and I forgot to mention,,, they double billed me on the deposit. I did find out that this place was purchased by a different company a year and a half ago and several employees told us that they do not want to put any money into it and put everything into the one being built next door. Once that one is done, they will Renovate the Emerald. Until That is all done, this place will be horrible to stay in. Run from this place and do NOT ruin your vacation here or waste youre hard earned money. I just can t understand how these companies can take advantage of people like that. This place is a total dump.

This place has always been my go to. I booked 3 rooms for my family on Mother s Day weekend and it was HORRIBLE there was no hot water from day one and when asked I kept getting it will be fixed in a few hrs and never was. I was told I would get partial refund to never get it. Today I have called to speak to manager Curtis to see what s going on. & the girl who answered (front desk) kept putting me on hold iv been on hold 45 mins now just to have been told there busy after almost an hr I got hung up on. it s beyond ridiculous. I won t ever recommend this place to anyone. I understand things happen. But as a manager you should be able address any complication in the workplace and not be avoiding anyone or anything

This place is terrifying, not even the welcome is given by the director with a terrible bad character, the rooms stink, the bathrooms dont work, the microwaves have a power cut, the beds are dirty, the air doesnt work, it doesnt have hot water, anyway, Im going to drink the job of reporting this hotel to the corresponding authorities, so that the city of Corpus can send and carry out a thorough inspection, because the guests there are in danger, the place is not safe for anyone, the elevators are in indeparable conditions, something is happening there that the complaints have not reached the right place. Definitely wish I would have read the reviews before booking here way overpriced! The staff was friendly and helpful but it s wild to me that we paid $154 for 1 night stay and then have to pay for parking to park in the hotels parking lot! The parking is a joke and nearly impossible to get a spot! The room was advertised as one over looking the water so we thought why not pay for the experience but when we got in our room we were overlooking the rooftop there was nothing online about the deposit and it said at arrival of property there would be nothing due so we were a little shocked when they told us we paid for the room but there was $100 deposit due. Not a huge deal since you re supposed to get it back but I feel like all that should have been told upfront! We were really excited for this experience and it didn t meet standard and for our next visit to the area we will definitely not be staying here! I would not recommend this place

DO NOT STAY HERE! Read all the reviews. This places sucks. The hotel lies. And Will Not refund your money. Stayed during Memorial Day weekend called to ask if the water issues had been repaired. I was told yes everything was repaired. Come to find out it was all lies. We had no hot water. The shower would lose pressure. The AC did not cool off just blew air. One of two elevators were broke. My 5yrs old bday, Check in at 4:00 but we want a early check in at 2:00PM so of course we have to pay early check in why when it only 2hrs but ($60 extra) and THEN to find out EVEN THOUGH WE R STAYING AT THE EMERALD HOTEL we have to pay to park at emerald hotel property and that $20 each day ( again even though if ur staying at the emerald hotel. ) if u don t pay to park, u will have to park off the property. Which is ever far. The rooms r so dirty, the floors r so disgusting, we laid a towel down on the floor and the towel was black when we pick up to replace it. The A/c unit in the room was right over the bed right in our face. So it was too hot or too cold in room. NEVER COMFORTABLE. Our truck was broken into and our fishing rods and fishing at equipment was gone and beach stuff was stole from the back of our truck. So even though ur paying $20 a day for parking at this hotel ur staying at there w no one watching ur vehicle. So it s up grabs. Just horrible experience I ll never ever stay at this hotel again if u stay here, go to the pool and grabs a few towels for the floors

I don t even know where to start, there was so much bad with this place. NASTY!! No hot water, the entire hotel smells of mildew, had to buy socks to keep my feet clean while walking around in the hotel room, 7 floors in a hotel with 1 elevator that rarely worked had to take the stairs more times than not and our room was on the 5th floor, hotel parking is shared with public beach parking and both of those lots are very small. The beach was littered with trash and cigarette butts. We had a bay view room with a balcony, which sits right above the Kokomo bar, which played music loudly until closing (1-2am), so trying to sleep after driving 12 hours was impossible. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, except for the head front desk guy. He could not have been more of an a**hole. We checked out a day early because we just couldn t get any rest, and both ended up with food poisoning, no refund on the extra day that we didn t stay. Watched another lady beg him for a refund (same reasons we had) who had a son with a heart condition. Their room had no air conditioning, and both her and her son were sick from the heat. He was an outright jerk about it, and was refusing her too. Before the owners come and apologize like they ve done on so many other reviews, maybe you should take the money that you ve ripped off from people, and actually CORRECT the problems!!

Horrible! I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt but I regret it! No parking had to park across the busiest street in Corpus Christi and I told them that I had been battling bloodclots in my left leg postoperatively. Still I had to park across the street and I was almost struck by a car crossing! I used the stool as soon as I got in the room and when I flushed it the tank failed to refill so I had to fill the trash can in the room with water in order to fill the tank to flush it again! There was mold throughout the room and of course an inoperable phone in the room so you couldn t talk with the front desk! The airconditioner didn t work and like everyone else said only one operable elevator that had a line waiting! There was a maintenance guy standing by the elevator and he said Good Luck ! I didn t even stay one night and I told them I wanted a refund and have yet to recieve anything! There were numerous customer s at the front desk like me asking for a refund and the manager at the time put us off and acted like he was too busy to resolve any issue s! In fact, there was one couple with a baby that was almost ran over crossing the street too so it is a safety concern I will be contacting a Consumer Protection attorney and even if it cost s me money I will gladly file a suit!

I really wanted to love it here even knowing it was an old hotel but our stay could have been better. The best thing about the hotel was the location and easy access to the beach. Parking lot is always full though due to also being a parking lot for beach goers and not just for hotel guests. There is only ONE working elevator for the entire hotel so we had to skip several elevator cart trips down due to it being full each time we needed to use it. There was even a long line at one point just to go up to our room. The AC in our room didn t get very cold and we had to keep the curtains closed to maintain a cool temperature during the day. At one point we didn t have hot water to shower. Luckily the majority of the 2 night stay we were able to take warm showers. The outdoor bar is a great idea but the music at night was obnoxiously loud and the beach area immediately behind the hotel had a lot of trash. Not sure if it s the hotel s responsibility to keep that area clean. It seems that previous reviews have stated the same issues. Hopefully these will get addressed for future hotel guests. Staff was friendly and helpful though.

This was only our second time coming but this time we came will be our last. The construction made it almost impossible to find parking. Over half the building didn t have hot water. The AC in the hotel room wouldn t go below 78 degrees. The hotel was only relocating peoples room and not doing refunds. DO NOT STAY HERE. Upon arrival we walked into a giant puddle of water in the restroom due to a major leak coming from the ceiling. At first I decided to overlook it as we were only staying for one night. Went to shower after the pool and discovered that the hot water didn t work (didn t even get slightly warm). The shower was also disgustingly filthy, looked like it hadn t been cleaned in weeks. Walked down to the front desk (because the room phones do not work) only to be told you should ve told us when maintenance was here . Didn t offer to accommodate us with another room, wasn t apologetic whatsoever. It was too late at this point to find a different hotel so we decided to stay. The room was hot all night, AC did not work. Requested a partial refund for the uncomfortable conditions and not having BASIC amenities that are listed on the their website. The staff is unhelpful and it became obvious quick that they deal with the same complaints and requests for refunds all the time. They will give you the run around and tell you the manager is out when they realize you want your money back. Exhausting, terrible, and gross experience. They should be shut down. The conditions in this hotel are extremely unsafe for guests, and even their staff. Owner is not concerned at all with fixing issues as long as money is still coming in!

I checked into the Emerald Beach Hotel in Corpus Christi, Texas this evening. Upon checking into the hotel, I noticed that the lobby was unkept with regard to water and dirt tracked through the lobby by people who had been in the pool area. I also observed one patron requesting a refund due to purchasing a dedicated parking space for which there were no parking slots. She was told she would be refunded the cost. Another patron requested a refund for the entire hotel stay because the air condition in his room did not work and there was no parking. I asked the hotel representative what we were supposed to do if there was no parking available, to which he replied there was parking across the street in a church parking lot. This is unacceptable given the hotel room for a 2-night stay costs 350.00 which was immediately taken from my checking account without the opportunity to be refunded in a timeframe that would allow my family to find another hotel to stay at for our desired price point. We got our room keys and proceeded to the elevator. Another patron advised that we needed to check our hot water because she had none and staff was not being helpful. In addition, only 1 of 2 elevators was operational, and guests were waiting up to 10 minutes to get to their rooms and/or crowding onto the elevator. When me and my husband arrived at our room, the hotel door was wide open and moths were flying around. We went back downstairs and reported the situation to the representative and voiced our concerns regarding the unsafe environmental conditions of the hotel: a. having to park across the street, b. wet floors in the lobby, c. only 1 of 2 elevators working which resulted in overcrowding on the elevator, d. an open door to a hotel room someone just checked into, e. air conditioning not working in certain rooms with Texas temperatures at over 100 degrees, and f. some rooms being without hot water, which isnt a safety issue but is certainly a discomfort at almost $400.00 for a 2-night stay. When we got assigned a second room, the conditions for $350 were subpar. For example, the television did not work for more than 5 minutes. There was no signal. I later recalled that when I stayed here years ago that I was advised by hotel representatives that tv signals were subpar depending on the position of your hotel room. To top it all off, I was charged a $100 hold for incidentals. All together, this was a $450 hotel stay for these subpar, and unsafe conditions. This is unacceptable and most importantly unsafe.

There are added fees, the pool is hot, the beach is near but just acceptable. Rooms are clean, everything worked. Just know, you have to pay for parking. I had to take away a couple stars. I lost my wallet at the bar area, I asked to see the camera footage was told to file a police report, the officer came and met with me, the staff said he couldnt review the footage that day without a manager. I was assured they could do it the following day. Its been several days, the hotel has refused to look at the camera for me without an officer present. I have spoken with the Corpus police department, they wont look at the footage without a perpetrator. Im at a loss here. The camera is literally pointed where I was sitting. It wouldnt take 10 mins to look into what happened for me. I live 6 hours away. Its not about the money lost, its about losing every piece of Identification I have. Tried to check in and was told to come back at 4 o clock because no rooms were available, so I came back around five-ish to give them enough time to ready the rooms. I go to my room and it is literally 80° in there (a/c wasn t working), and the room was a mess pictures to follow. I went downstairs in person to notify them of my complaint and to get a different room. He told me they were fully booked and did not have another room to offer and they would send maintenance. Had to change rooms because of what the staff member called a methamphetamine smell. Second room had a large stain on the cuff! The only thing going for the hotel is the location. We called and got a room the same day. I told them we had 4 adults and when booking they said we could get a rollaway bed. We also asked if we could grill on the beach and they told us yes. Come to find out not only can you not grill on the beach but you can get a big ticket for that. Then when it came to the bed they said that we in fact could not have a roll away bed due to it being a fire issue. They just lied about everything. Now my husband is sleeping on the floor. Very disappointed. Find another hotel and don t waste your money. Us leaving a night early should indicate that we will not be staying again. While there was water coming out of the hot water, it was surely not hot at all. Maybe a like warm at best. We were in town for the Beach to Bay relay marathon and parking was a disaster! I booked this weeks in advance of my trip. I was due to arrive late so called the front desk the day of my trip to let them know of my late arrival. When I arrived it was all downhill immediately. Mikayla the front desk receptionist was extremely passive aggressive when telling me the hotel sold our room. She called our new room an upgrade , it was not. I booked specifically a room with a kind bed for my wife and I for our anniversary and the room they gave us was a small one with two double beds. This has been our favorite hotel in Corpus Christi for years. We have always loved it. We loved it so much we brought my parents this time. But this stay was horrible. Its a different place. We could not get hot water and apparently this has been an issue for several weeks, but it has not been resolved, nor were we updated or advised about it on checkin. We were charged for parking this time which has never happened before, but the parking was an absolute nightmare. It was a very busy weekend this week but there was only one working elevator. Also the staff was not friendly except for Norma in housekeeping. When we called about the water we were told to call back during the next shift. So we will not be back to this hotel and we are very disappointed. All this after booking over a month in advance and paying $1300 for two rooms and parking.

I paid extra for a beachfront view, and while I got a beachfront view; the room was horrifying. Let me just list out all the issues: - Bugs in the beds - Unclean Sheets - Lamps are DIRTY - Water sounded like it was going to burst when i turned it on - Smelled like Mold - Musty and the a/c didn t work - extremely smudged sliding door to get to patio / door was broken and didn t close all the way - Our actual hotel door was basically open as the bottom of the door was missing a chunk out of it. - The floors were uneven - not ADA compliant (we were on the 2nd floor and there was no ramp or elevator) - The security key to get to the rooms didn t even work, you can come right in. - Not to mention the parking was absolute trash, you have to pay $10 a night to park on site and if there is no parking you must park 3 blocks away. I didn t even get a full refund..I paid $500 for 2 nights and only got HALF back even though we didn t stay the night and we showed them photos and video of the gross conditions the best they could do was refund me ONE night. Please don t waste your time staying here. This place is a HAZARD.

Was quite busy and the check-in went without any issues. At the end of the night, we went to shower off the day, the beach etc., well, what a way to find out that the hotel has absolutely no hot water. We called the front desk when no hot water was coming out of the shower and was told it was being repaired and should be up and running in the next 20 min. 1 hour later after midnight there still was just ice cold water from the shower. We contacted the hotel and requested a refund for the night and were willing to keep our stay for the duration of our stay. Even a partial refund, well, they offered a 20% discount. We figured, ok, that will work for the first night as long as we have hot water in the morning. 9am, STILL NO HOT WATER!!! So we called front desk again, and were told they were waiting for maintenance to come in, then called an hour later and was given a different story about the city needing to turn on the water. Well, we dealt with the cold showers again only to find my daughter had several bites on her arms and legs. Then my wife found a huge cluster of bites on her leg. We thoroughly check mattresses, lamps, headboards etc before we unpack our belongings to make sure there are no bedbugs. It appeared clean and without issue. So we let down our guard, yet still kept our luggage on table tops etc. We have experienced bed bugs prior when our son got his first apartment and know firsthand what bites look like. We had enough of this and packed our stuff up. We ended our stay early and went down to front desk. We explained to them what happened and had the bites to prove it. We have photos. The staff refused a refund and said they would honor the 20% off for the hot water for the first night. I asked for a complete refund due to the fact that we had no hot water and now my family woke up full of bed bug bites!! The staff didnt want to extend a refund. We le ft. While in the car my daughter told us that in the elevator ride down, another guest told her that they havent had hot water for 3 days!!!! The location is great but it goes downhill from there. Rooms are dirty, breakfast buffet is not worth the money and beach is ok. When we stayed a motorcycle club The Mongols had taken over the hotel and had their own security. They were walking around with large knives on their belts and would congregate in the front under the port-a-chai. New recruits had to stand guard not sure from who. They did not bother us but we were very uncomfortable not knowing if there could a security risk. Hotel had no security and only 1 elevator working. Do NOT waste your money here.

Parking lot is sketchy at best and u have to pay for parking 12.83 a day with all the parking lot arms broken and was not told this at booking, elevators need serious attention, smells like a very old hotel that needs a major upgrade, breakfast is not tell 8 am when everyone already has to be at work! We rented a room with a balcony and an incredible view. The room was very nice and large, the service was great. They have an inside bar and the Kokomo which is an outside bar with a great view. The only thing subpar was the internet.....very very slow. We would stay here again and hopefully theyll fix the net issue. 2nd visit....Weve stayed hear before and enjoyed it. All the negative reviews gave us pause but were glad we stayed here again. The last visit here was super slow internet, this time it was decent. Theyve added a few usb outlets to the room. The king size bed was comfortable with nice pillows. We had a room with a nice balcony facing the water which was pretty nice and the beach was pretty clean. The restaurant served a decent breakfast buffet, a little pricy at 14 dollars, they had a special going, buy one and get half off a second buffet. The only issue we had was the shower/tub drained slowly and the hot water didnt get as hot as it should. Theyve updated a few things like parking lot security. Weve stayed here many times and weve always enjoyed it. This trip was no exception. We always get a room facing the gulf so we can sit on the balcony and drink coffee while enjoying the view and listening to the surf. Our last Corpus trip we stayed at another hotel that had balconies but you couldnt access them. My wife got cold one evening and asked if she could come get an extra blanket, they gladly brought her one. The room was clean and everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed a couple drinks at Kokomos. The only thing that is subpar is the breakfast buffet. You pay for a breakfast buffet and they bring you a togo container of assorted foods, ours came with pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatos, a biscuit and a container of gravy. No syrup came with the pancakes, we asked for it and got it. We skipped it after that. Well definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this location to enjoy our Easter holiday. Unfortunately we did not enjoy it all!!! We were not aware that if a family rents one room they are allowed to have their whole family show up and enjoy the swimming pool and everything else the hotel offers for the price of one. This family had around 50 or more guests with them. They were blocking entrance to our room so we were made very uncomfortable having to walk through their family reunion. They had confetti eggs, even broke a piñata and had an egg hunt all in the game area near our room. It was so frustrating dealing with all those people and their loud music. The pool was so full we didn t even get to enjoy it. I would have wished that management would have handled this bad situation and maybe asked all unpaid guest to leave. Unless this hotel allowes you to rent one room and have 50+ guest. We definitely will not be going back nor will we recommend this place to anyone. Unless it s for a family reunion that is. The cost will be cheap and we will have access to a pool, video games and the beach. lol

Im sure it was a beautiful hotel in the past, but now is in need of more updates. My room had an ocean view, clean overall but the sliding door glass and track were extremely dirty, the balcony had chipped paint, the TV didn t work, we lost power for around 2 hours. Theres an indoor pool but very outdated and dirty. There were no towels, the hot tub had dirty water and a kid threw up in the pool sending us running out. There wasnt an attendant there. The beach was only to walk on, dont expect to swim here. We flew kites and took family pictures on the beach, we took a stroll along the shore line at night all the way to the Selena statue amd back. I loved the view from the room but I would stay somewhere else next time. Safety: Parking lot is out of order.

They say pictures are worth a thousand words. Here are pictures of three different rooms that were allegedly cleaned before we checked in, some of the elevators, the conference room, and gym. Make smart choices. Rooms: Rooms were not cleaned. I switched rooms three times and all of them were disgusting. Safety: About a 2 inch gap under the doors, some doors wouldn t close properly, and some wouldn t lock properly. About 40 of my colleagues and I were forced to stay here to our detriment, and this was across the majority of our rooms. Noteworthy details: Hotel was disgusting, even called the cops because there were dried red substance that resembled blood under the bed.

Great location, and great views from our balcony front room. Easy walking to get downtown, easy to get anywhere you want too! Hotel staff were kind and helpful at all times. The 2 male bartenders at Kokomo were very kind and inviting. The hotel is working on bringing the property back to life, and it is easy to tell they are working on it. I included a picture of our view in the morning. The reviews here scared me and I almost cancelled my reservation, but I m so glad we didn t. Yes, the hotel needs some work, but for the price you re getting the room and the hospitably, to the location this hotel is worth it.

I spontaneously decided to take a last-minute beach trip for my son, as Corpus Christi was just a few hours away and a new destination for us. Relying on a glowing recommendation from a close friend, I booked a room for our stay. Arriving early, I had hoped for an early check-in, especially being 7.5 months pregnant after enduring traffic for a while. Unfortunately, the early check-in fee was quite steep at $75, as informed when I called ahead. Opting to head straight to the beach while waiting, we encountered a busy check-in process with only two staff members handling the rush during Spring Break. Despite the wait, the staff remained friendly and accommodating. After check-in, we decided to dine at the hotel restaurant, but it was closed for dining. We settled for ordering at the bar, only to discover they were out of many menu items we desired. Our food arrived in to-go containers without any condiments or the house ranch for the mushrooms. Returning to the bar, the staff was apologetic but lacking in explanations for the missing items. When I requested the condiments, I was initially told that they couldnt fetch them due to a shortage of runners. Offering to retrieve them myself, I was surprised when the staff member volunteered to get them since there was no kitchen access. Despite the inconvenience, I appreciated the effort taken to address the oversight. The food was terrible, fried items were cooked in old dirty oil, I ordered the burger plain with no cheese and was told everything comes on the side . It came out with cheese, and everything on top. Overall it just was not worth the $55 spent, at this point I knew they were busy so I just decided to go ahead and order door dash instead of causing a big deal. My stomach was upset and I was sick, not able to eat my salad from ChicfilA. Once we were in our room and trying to get comfortable for bed, the neighbor next to us were incredibly loud for hours. Banging the walls/door and I could hear everything they said. It took calling down to the desk 5 times before the phone was picked up. They addressed it, so I moved on with the night. I consider myself quite patient, but the final straw came when a peculiar incident occurred. While preparing to shower after my son fell asleep around 10 pm, a stranger unexpectedly entered my room. He apologized and explained that we had been assigned the wrong room. Feeling uneasy, being a single mother with a toddler and also pregnant, I went downstairs to voice my concerns. The receptionist appeared overwhelmed but courteous; however, I felt my situation was not taken seriously. Only after my intervention did he check on us or offer an apology. Initially, he blamed a glitch for the room mix-up. I mentioned I would address this further at check-out to swiftly return to my son. Unfortunately, upon returning to my room, my keys did not work. Upon returning to the front desk, he then realized that I should have been in room 430 all along, contradicting his earlier explanation of a glitch as he was the one who checked me in five hours prior. The air conditioner was also malfunctioning, and at 6 am, we were startled by the fire alarm. Exhausted from the sleepless night, I chose to shorten our trip and return home. During check-out, I requested to speak with a manager who seemed unaware of the situation. Although he apologized, I felt that the seriousness of the safety concern was not fully acknowledged. The manager advised me to contact the third-party booking service I had utilized, and he assured me that he would make notes about the incident for a complete refund. I received an email from the booking company, mentioning that the manager they discussed with approved only a partial refund. They seemed unaware of the situation again and only mentioned my complaint about the AC, despite being assured it would be documented. I wouldnt choose to stay at this place again or recommend it, even with its fantastic beachfront location. if management had dealt the situation better at the time, I might not have been as disappointed.

I stayed here last night and it was a horrible experience before my check in time I did what the person that helped me called a pre check in so when the room was ready all I needed was to get the key my check in time wqs supposed to be at 4 pm and at 4:30 I went back to the front to finally grab the key and I was told the room wasn t ready yet and it would be about 15 more minutes I said Thats fine and waited close to 30 minutes to give them some time 5 pm comes around and I ask the person in the front desk again on a update on my room and they then told me again it was going to be around 15 more minutes I was pretty upset but said okay thats fine 5:30 comes around and I was told the same excuse so I kept waiting 6:45 and I got the room to the key almost 3 hrs waiting in the lobby when I could have been enjoying my time if the room was going to take that long the person working the front desk should just be honest and say its going to take X amount of time, after finally getting the key I then asked the person in the front desk if there is a number or a email or someone I can talk to for such a long wait time because 3 hrs after check in to finally get the room I paid for is ridiculous the gentleman then tells me there is no number or email and none of the managers are in for me to talk to, I highly doubt any of that was true very disappointed in the service I get sometimes things are behind in a workplace but lying to your customers is never the answer would never stay here again and I feel bad for anyone who had to deal with the same thing I did and get no apology or any type of refund if I can give this place 0 stars I would

I gave three stars because the room on the sixth floor, I had a really decent view during this stay, I could see part of the bay. (This was my second time staying in this hotel)2016 was the first time and I was on a lower floor, which was super nice. When we first arrived to the hotel, it smells really nice inside the lobby, but then you get to the sixth floor and it smelt horrible the moment you step off the elevator, it s a non-smoking floor, according to the non-smoking signs over every door however, it smelt like cigarette smoke still. They have an elevator that needs fixed, the way the door opens and shuts. It s almost as if the door is crooked and about to get stuck so that was nerve-racking anytime I got stuck having to take that elevator all the way to the sixth floor. I could legitimately hear my neighbors conversation with his children, if I was almost sitting in his room, I do like that they didn t have carpet in the room so I didn t smell the cigarette smoke inside my room. As far as their breakfast buffet goes, I could not see spending $16 a person for the selection that they had. The staff there were pleasant during my entire stay so that was really nice. Walkability: It was in walking distance of really nice restaurants nearby.
