Had the most amazing time at the small local dinner. Sat right in the front row where they prepare your food. The new manager, Eric, was definitely on point. I have never witnessed a manager in the food industry being so positive and kind to his employees and being so involved in helping with the heavy flow of food orders. It was so refreshing to see someone in that position being to kind to his employees. Shout out to Cassandra for being an awesome waitress from start to finish. We will be back the next time we are in town.

The pancake was bigger than my plate. That Lemonade and Arnold Palmer... one of the best Ive ever tasted. The owner had ties to MS, which is where Im from, and he was very sociable as he practically walked us to the car. We went for brunch, and we will have to go back for dinner. Food

The diner has old school 60s vibe. There interiors are designed to have that feel. When you reach the diner, they give you a waiting card of a famous actresses, I got Joan Crawford. The staff at the entrance said the wait time was 15 minutes but I believe we waited for around 20 minutes. Once we were seated, the server came quickly to take our orders. She said the orders are usually there within 15 minutes but I believe we waited for 20-25 minutes. The waitress asked us if we need anything when she delivered the food but she didn t come in between to ask to fill up water or anything else. Only came to give us the cheque. Food is basic American breakfast. There s nothing extra or wow about it. Service is extremely slow mediocre at best. And wait time as well. It s a very basic diner with sub par service.

Exemplary service from the start. Incredible menu. Not the cheapest, but worth every dime. Sausage gravy and biscuit the best ever. Perfectly not-crispy bacon. Eggs exactly as ordered. I ll be baaaack UPDATE: under new ownership, but it may be even better. They have a great attitude and have hired some new people who are extremely fresh and excited to be here. I ll definitely be coming back.

I get that food cost are higher, I get payroll is higher. What I don t get about this place is being charged $14.95 for breakfast and having to wait 25 minutes to get it when there s literally two tables. Waitress asks if you want bacon well done you say no and still comes out well. Listen I realize the days of $8.95 breakfasts are gone. But my goodness if your going to charge the price because of demand of food cost and payroll cost. At least give good and prompt service front one back.

Found this spot reading reviews on Google and it certainly did not disappoint. Angie, my server, was Johnny on the spot and made some excellent recommendations. I ordered chicken fried chicken and it was almost perfect. The batter was just too salty but damn it was cooked to perfection. Absolutely loved the fact that they truly embrace the 50s diner experience right down to the music. If and when I am back at DFW I will stop back in.

Tried the lunch menu for the first time today and had their black bean burger. Served just like any other burger with all the fixings and it was very good. A little chipotle flavoring to it, good texture and didn t fall apart with the first bite like some other restaurant s bean burgers (you know who you are, Mooyah). Waitresses are always very nice and we rarely have to wait. Vegetarian options: They have a veggie omelette, impossible burger and black bean patties

Such a cute spot! Took me back to childhood days with all the decor and atmosphere. The hostesses were full of smiles, our waitress Camie was outstanding and the food was delicious! We wanted a spot for brunch and hoped that we wouldn t be waiting too long on a Saturday morning before a baseball game and we hit the jackpot! One of my husband s pet peeves is having to wait for the check so we can leave on time! Not only was Camie friendly, she was helpful and didn t make us wait for our check! We didn t go crazy with our food, just the basics- omelettes, hash browns, pancake and fruit. But everything was made perfectly! We will have to go back for the burgers and milkshakes!!

We stopped by trying to find ice cream for our daughter. They were closed and were hosting a private party when we walked in. Not only did they graciously give our daughter a strawberry milk shake (for free! Their credit card machine wasnt active), they were polite and respectful. What a diner, taking care of customers when not even open. A+ milkshake too, with real strawberries.

I loved this place. There is plenty of parking in back even though it s in the middle of downtown. Love the black and white diner look and so many booths. Good food and friendly staff. My waitress brought me a sample of the chicken salad because I had asked about it but went with breakfast instead. And then she brought an ice tea to go without me asking when I was done. They even offer small plates at a reduced price and it was more food than I could eat. Saw lots of locals while I was there and the couple next to me said they come there every day. I will definitely be back.

This diner is pretty much everything I could ask for in a diner. The interior has super cute diner vibes with cute booths and tables with curtains between them if you want a little more privacy. ;) There is also a bar you can sit at if you want as you want in. The wait can be a little bit in the mornings on the weekend but otherwise there is not much of a wait. The food is good and comes out fairly quickly and the variety of options is just enough so you don t get overwhelmed. They have breakfast, lunch, diner, blue plates , and even desserts. Service is nice and the staff always make you feel welcome and at home. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try a local diner out with a cozy feel to it. The prices can seem a little high for a diner but the quality of the food is not diner quality and the portions are pretty good, too. Definitely recommend their pancakes. They are really big, fluffy, and have a really nice vanilla flavor!

Have you ever wanted to take someone to a unique hole in the wall? This is absolutely it. It is an awesome time capsule of a place. I know this wont make sense but its the most Diner like Diner I have seen in the DFW area. Theres no wifi and terrible cell signal, but honestly its extremely refreshing to see everyone chatting and eating without a bright screen in lighting up everyones faces. Its like stepping backwards in time for lunch. I highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: These are the type of waitresses to help make you comfortable any way they can. So long as it isnt extremely busy, theyre happy to take extra time to get you a meal youll be happy with! Dietary restrictions: Menu is very well labeled and the entire staff is very knowledgeable on the entire menu. They can help if you have any allergy questions or concerns. Parking: Large parking lot as well as long adjacent street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: 2 entrances, one by the parking lot and another by the street parking side of the building, both are handicap/wheelchair accessible.

Oh my goodness this place is so yummy! My team and I were in downtown Coppell for a conference and we had one hour to grab some lunch. We were able to walk to the local diner, get lunch and even stop at George s coffee shop before the hour was up! I had the largest fried chicken sandwich I ve ever seen in my life and some delicious sweet potato fries. I can t wait to find an excuse to get back to this restaurant!

The breakfast was generous and tasteful, the atmosphere was great but nothing like the customer service, our waiter was a very polite, gentil and with great manners gentleman, his name is Mr. Erick and if you visit the Local Diner, that I totally recommend I hope you are lucky to have Erick as a waiter. In a world where we see less kindness and politeness is important to let people know that they are giving a great customer service and doing a good job, congratulations to this place that has a culture of quality customer service.

We loved the nostalgic vibe of this diner! The service and atmosphere was great! Two things they need to add: stronger coffee (the coffee was too weak), and butter. I am not a fan of margarine and it does not taste good with grits.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The service was quick, and the food portions were huge (I couldnt even finish it all). Angela, my waitress, was so sweet. I loved her spirit and she had great rapport with the other customers (I was people watching). I will definitely return.

This was my first time at this diner. I looked up diners with home cooking in Coppell Tx and this was first on the list. Well, I went today 3/31/23 and was VERY Pleased. The diner is Super clean, rest room spectacular. I ordered the meat and egg plate. It came with 4 slices of bacon, two eggs, two slices of toast, and I got the home style potatoes. Lordy B it was delicious. Next time I go,and I will, Ill ask for my bacon to be crispy. This was a Great breakfast. Try it out you will NOT be disappointed!!! There were three ladies at the counter and they all greeted me with a smile and said good morning!!! I LOVE Great food, But, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE gets me all the time!!! Keep that smile on your face Ladies!!! They serve, Breakfast, brunch and dinner. They open at 6:30am. My wait for my fresh hot food was not long at all. Lords will I will be going back, especially to try one of the shakes, yummmmmmy!!! Be Blessed 06/15/23, To add to above comment. I went again this morning and the atmosphere was awesome, smiles, greeting customers, receiving orders all with a genuine smile and never did I have repeat my order. Food was SUPPER DELISH!!! $16.00 wasnt bad for two eggs with cheese, 4strips of bacon, 2 slices of toast, and hash browns. Go give them a try. Next time it will be lunch. Be back soon. Be Blessed

I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette. It was void of any flavor, no seasoning whatsoever. I was surprised that the mixed fruit consisted of sliced strawberries and bananas only. The French Toast was basic. Honestly I have had better and paid less at a chain restaurant. For the price and reading the reviews, I hoped for more. I also did not order hashbrowns but found hashbrowns in my omelette as well as my French Toast (pic attached) I assume from using the same grill or utensils. On a high note, Raphael was pleasant!
