My daughter enjoyed being outdoors, Lots of activities at your own pace, very calm not alot of people. It was a bit hot but lots of trees for shade. Horse and train ride for a small charge. Xan also feed animals for $1 cone or $5 bag.

We took our son to enjoy the petting zoo and had an amazing time! The animals were so sweet and gentle. The llama/alpaca (not sure) cracked me up! We were feeding a little close and he reached across the fence and snatched the bag of food! Very cleaver! The donkey was so sweet and patient, and so were the horses. It also clearly says to feed the animals outside of the fence. Which I can see why. We went in without food and the goats were licking our hands because they smelled like feed.. It was super hot but thats Texas! Which is why we didnt stay long to do more things. The staff were very kind and inviting.

Rundown areas, not ready at 9am with the train or pony ride for kids, petting zoo was not clear on if you can or cannot enter, have a bounce slide but if you aren t there for the special event you can t use it pictures look a lot better than it is, not worth the money with kids.

Waste of money. Took three kids and after 15min they d done most everything. Petting zoo smelled horrible and yes I know live animals but this was unwashed animals. Had a water slide but only if you were with a party. 42.50 wasted. Save your money and go to the movies or something. It s blocked from view but it looks like someone s yard turned into a business. The sand pit has old playskool bed frames.

This place is not maintained. We went and the grass was tall, none of the extras were open like they show on their website. The animals pens are not cleaned up. I get it s a farm but it d be nice if it was cleaned up to where the animals didn t have a chance to hurt themselves. One of the floors in the little houses is all pulled up Definitely disappointed that it didn t live up to how they describe on their website! Will not be returning.

Usually were big fans of 7 Acre Wood. But today when we went two of the goats from the petting zoo were loose and made it basically impossible to actually safely and comfortably feed and interact with any of the other animals. They were very aggressive in their attempts to take the food from us, and even started fighting and almost ran my children/stroller over, and that also made the other animals more stressed out and aggressive as well. We did inform the people at the front desk and they thought it was perfectly fine to have the goats loose. In the future, I dont know if we will return just because of this unless it is fully resolved and steps are taken to prevent a reoccurrence.

I believe this is a good place to go. It was to hot without wind and the heat was miserable. Although wheelchair accessible the sand /sand with white gravel was terrible to navigate through, I know it is outdoors but just wish it was a bit easier for a child in a wheelchair. The mini golf and a few other activities was almost inaccessible with the wheelchair! The kids were sad the extras are weekend only.

My daughter LOVES animals so we ve been to nearly every petting zoo in Houston at this point. Unfortunately the animals at this location seemed the least maintained. Houston temperature is HOT, but the animals aren t very well ventilated. One of the staff even mentioned to me they lost an alpaca recently due to the heat. All the sheep, alpaca, and several goats were in the barn barely moving because they were so hot and exhausted. It was really sad to see. The animals were all really sweet and friendly that we encountered though. The donkeys are hilarious with how they open their mouths for you to pour food in. I did notice the animals had no food in their bowls, so they might ve been overly friendly due to wanting food.

Absolutely disgusted in the neglect of the animals. The pictures that were posted in that last review were lies. The baby goat on the turtle was forced to stand on the turtle. He is so ill you can see it in his poor eyes. In the other photo you can clearly see the leg is hurt. I cant believe they made the hurt goat stand to get these fake photos . Absolutely disgusting. I will never visit this place again . I left completely heart broken. There is no need for any animal to suffer . Praying for all the animals there.

Extremely unmaintained. One of the baby goats was clearly very ill and was left lying in the heat. There were cats living in the bathroom stalls. The entire place was just filthy. The zip line would barely move the kids across and the rope on it was split. If you just want to swing, then go here because that s about all there was.

There is so much for the kids to do. A lot of the activities or play areas are shaded. A nice breeze blows through the open areas. The animals are all so nice and my daughter had so much fun playing with and feeding them. You can bring a packed lunch or buy something there. They also have frozen drinks, cold water, and ice pops to cool off with. Their prices are very reasonable. Ice pops are just $0.50.

We attended a birthday party and were having fun until a blonde kid wouldn t let my son ride the pony. He was saying my son was more than 100 lbs he s tall for his age but he s long and lanky. He s a 65 lb 8 year old. Maybe if you want to in-force that rule and claim you know someones weight then you should put a scale out for verification.

I hosted my son s first birthday there, and we all had a great time. The animals were so cute, and the staff were super nice. However, there were some things we didn t like about the environment. First, the flies were absolutely horrible! I know it s a farm, and the flies are really bad this year, but if you re going to host parties and have food and drinks, you have to find a way to control it. They had fly bait somewhere around the area where you eat, so you could smell the awful fly bait. The flies were so bad that we rushed to eat and do his cake. We didn t even open presents there because it was just so awful; we just wanted to get out of there. Second, they had stray cats there, which is great I love that they re giving them a home. But I m sure those cats use the sandbox as a litter box; it s just in their nature. So don t let your kids put their hands or anything else in their mouths while there. Third, when I booked the party, I saw on their website that you could bring drinks. I even sent a screenshot of it to my mom. But when I arrived, I saw a sign that said no drinks. I was confused and searched their website but couldn t find that information anymore. I guess they changed the rules and didn t notify us, so we all had to pay for drinks on a very hot day. Yes, our party package came with three pitchers of drinks, but because of how hot it was, they weren t going to stay cool, and we didn t want flies in our pitchers or cups. It would have been nice to bring our cooler because I felt absolutely horrible that my friends and family had to pay for drinks. Fourth, I knew what was included in the package, but I think all packages should come with all activities that they have there. Instead, you have to pay for everything. I m glad my family and friends enjoyed themselves, but I m sad that I had to rush the rest of my sons birthday party because of the flies and the heat, and having to pay for water. I think if you pay for a package, you should be able to bring a cooler of drinks. To sum it all up, I think it s fun to go there individually, but maybe not to host parties until they make changes.

This place is in serious need of updates and maintenance. 7 Acre Woods may have been great in its hay day years ago, but seems to have been neglected since then. Activities listed on the website are extremely disappointing in person. Mini golf course hasn t been touched in years, I would hardly even call it a course. All equipment is run down and dirty. The scooter track is a concrete sidewalk with a few radio flyer tricycles. Every toy in the giant sandbox was broken. The petting zoo was the only activity that somewhat held up to expectations, but overall not worth the trip or price out there.

I took my children here when they were 4 & and 2, and I chaperoned a field trip for my oldest when he was 6. Both visits were a lot of fun! They have plenty of suitable activities for this age range but the best age range for their activities is between 4-8. The petting zoo area has plenty of very tame and super patient animals, including baby goats, ducks, tortoises, llamas, pigs, etc. Theres plenty of playgrounds, a giant sandbox area, a safe zipline, a playhouse with giant legos, and a grounded boat for the kids to play on. They have outdoor restrooms with only 2-3 stalls, a water fountain, and an outdoor sink. The concessions area has tasty sandwiches and snacks at an affordable price. There is plenty of seating, unless youre there during a field trip, in which case Id make sure you eat before or after everyone else.

The petting zoo was splendid, lots of animals, great variety, and well taken care of . My oldest went on a fun pony ride, and my youngest had the time if his life playing in a sand pit full of obstacles and adventures. There is also a small mini golf course which is nice. And then fields to play any sport youd want. Highly recommend this place if your looking for somewhere to spend a day with family.

We were really excited to go to this place. We saw all the good reviews and were set on taking our little. As soon as we got there we realized we had drove an hour for really nothing that was special. We payed for an $8 ticket for our 20 month old who could only do so much. The playground was geared towards bigger kids, the train ride didn t have seatbelts, little tikes town was a cement circle where kids ride old bikes, there was no Lego room or chalk room to be found, and the petting zoo was lame. I don t know if they don t feed their animals, but you couldn t even walk into the pen and pet them because they were all hoarded around the fence trying to get feed. It was INSANE how hard they fought to get fed, like they were starved. When we went into the petting area none of the animals wanted to be pet, and they didn t care to be pet when you fed them either. There were sick animals, with green snot coming out of their nose and there was a goat who was hacking constantly. The goat laid there like it was dying under the shade in the barn. The worker tried to give it some water but it looked like it couldn t even pick up its head to get it. They had a dog who was out in the barn as well, he was insanely dirty and had flys around him that wouldn t go away. Overall, they need to care for their animals big time. And maybe make it more age appropriate for younger kids if they start charging at 18 months and up.

We attended a birthday party here that was also very cute and well managed by the staff. The staff has always been extremely polite and helpful. The one thing I believe management could improve is updating or posting holiday closures on social media or even on the gate. We attempted to visit on Labor Day and it was closed with no notice anywhere that is would be closed for the holiday.

I called to report them to the SPCA and they said they already have a report open for them. There s a lot to like about this place but they have a bunch of animals (20+goats, sheep, alpaca, tortoises, and a dog) all in the same area fenced in. My main concern was with a small female goat in heat hiding under the feeder trying to get away from the 5 male goats that were biting at her and pushing her to try to get her out. They d get her out and she d run away and hide again with her bum tucked down under her. When I spoke to the owner he said, They ll keep it up until they all have a chance to mate with her . He said he wouldn t let her out because she d eat the pumpkins but pretty heartless answer. I think he should put her in with the ponies or something separate. We didn t buy pumpkins here and won t be coming back because the care of the animals seems to be slipping and my main concern was how flippant the person in charge was- I don t expect a change unless more people complain or the SPCA prompts it.

Its like a nice little park with goats. The park area has plenty of child friendly activities. I really enjoyed playing giant checkers. The goats are cute and so are most of the other animals. Not a large variety of animals to see but for the price what you get is well worth it. If you stay in the area its definitely a place you should visit. I dont think its worth the hour plus drive from SE Houston though. The staff a friendly and helpful. The concession stand was as diverse in choice as the animals. If you do decide to eat there you will have you standard frito pies, pickles and chips. My experience was ok... Oh FYI no need to bring a mask no one there is going to be wearing one.

This was such a cute little place. There is plenty for little ones to do, and the pricing is very fair. Our son got to hold a tiny baby goat, and we played put-put golf. The mini zip line was also so much fun. Worth checking out!

It is a fun place for the price, I think adults should be cheaper or free being there is not much for adults. The property could use some maintainence, mini golf is run down, there was a hornet nest in one of the kids play houses. The bathrooms are run down. The petting zoo was the best part.

1st grade field trip... ok for a few hrs, not an all day long deal. They do have food to order, decent prices and admission. Its a big play area basically.... Petting zoo and small zip line. Will offer a nice place to relax and enjoy watching your kids run wild.

Oh my gosh! Took my niece her for spring break. She loved it. For $15, she was able to do everything, feed the animals, ride the train, take a pony ride, putt putt golf, and play for hours. We had lunch there as well, plenty on the menu and the covered area to eat at was really nice. There are tons of photo opportunity areas as well. Definitely a place to go for the kids.

Today we spent a few hours at this place for my 2year old granddaughters birthday party. My grandson (9) was there with us. He ended up getting over heated from playing too hard. As I was walking him to the covers tables, a young lady that works there seen what was happening. She opened up a room that had a/c going. She quickly ran and grabs some ice pack, gatorade, a popsicle and cold rags to cool him off. This was so bad he went limp and almost passed out. I m so thankful this young lady was there and took action. I didn t get her name but if she sees this, thank you for everything you did for my grandson. Other then that this place is the best. Thanks again!!

Not worth the price. There was no one in the pony ride section nor to pet the animals. No soap in bathroom. We paid 48 for a family of 4 including said pony ride, train ride and feed. They should lower their prices. There s not much things to do. The only fun experience was the swing rope that goes back and forth. My kids loved that. Those prices should be for adults but kids should be free plus the unlimited rides. Feed should be charged ofcourse but yea totally not worth the price. Felt like we were at a park with the exception of animals to pet.

Great birthday venue area. Priced right. Kids ran all day long. So much to do as a group or gathering and very safe. Very helpful staff. Feeding the animals was a hoot! Zip line is for littler ones which was perfect for us. The adults stayed and had a great time as well. Just one favor to ask of the owners. Please trim the ponies hooves. Long over due for a farrier.

If I could give 0 stars, I would!!! DO NOT book a party at this place!!! Whoever is in charge of booking parties does not know how to book parties and ends up overbooking!! I called to reserve a birthday party for my 2 year old for Saturday the 14th. I was given all time slots available. One being 2:30-4:30 and 12:00-2:00. I asked for the 2:30-4:30 one. Then she says oh we already have one booked for that time, can you do 12:00-2:00? I reply yes, that works. Let me call you back with a card for the deposit. I call back to pay the deposit of my invoice and get told that 12:00-2:00 is already booked and I cant do that time anymore. They asked if I wanted to do 9:30am-11:30am that day or on Sunday. Um, not really. So then she says she will talk to someone and see if they can squeeze me in. She calls me back and says they cant squeeze me in that I can either do the following weekend, 9:30am-11:30am on the 14th or do Sunday. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Expected more! Place seems a little dated. There was an old boat lying in the grass that kids could climb on. A small kud friendly zip line! Miniature golf course is also dated. There were plenty of animals to feed. You could go inside the fence and pet them. That was the highlight of the trip. Overall not bad for the price.

This place was so fun the kids! The petting zoo had a large variety of animals. Goofy golf is a little run down but the kids still enjoyed it. I loved that unused activity tickets could be returned for concessions treats. Our daughter was sad that she was too heavy for the ponies but getting cotton candy made up it! Using the tractor and pumpkins as photo op was worth the entry fee!

OK so I have read several reviews about this place being a rip-off. I can agree to certain things like the pony ride and barrel ride. Both need to be fixed. The pony ride is only one pony for too many kids in the barrel ride, which seems to be quite small, but my 5 year old really enjoyed it. Other than that, this place is great for kids to be kids. My kids were running around wild and free. I loved it!!! Its a bit outdated, but they loved the open space. Will return.
