Very delicious food, came out hot, but the pork and veggies was a little bit hard still but wasnt too bad. Could have been softer. Other than that the food was really good and flavorful. Halo halo dessert was actually very large and delicous. The ladies working was very friendly and caring. Salamat po!

We were visiting from out of state and wanted to try a Filipino restaurant. So glad there is one in BCS, hopefully there will be more soon. This is an authentic Filipino restaurant run by a local family. Food was obviously VERY fresh, huge portions for the price. Definitely check it out!

I appear to have become a semi-regular at this place, and they deserve every dollar of my money. Delicious, authentic food; friendly service; and a calm atmosphere are the name of the game here. Get the sinigang.

Hands down the most authentic Filipino food in this town. The quality is good. The taste is great. The service is wonderful. I saw complaints in reviews about prices and speed. I think the price and speed both reflect the authenticity. Ill bet the food is made only once you order it. And its not rushed. Thats why it tastes so good.

This place is 100% authentic Filipino food ran and cooked by Filipinos. I got the go to most common dish chicken adobo, its a little sweet and savory chicken braised served with a side of rice. If its your first time with Filipino food, try chicken adobo. My friend got the skewers although the price might be a little high its totally worth the money.

Pros: large variety on menu, delicious food, comfortable seating, clean bathrooms, great staff Cons: really painfully slow service, halo halo doesnt have many toppings/add ins. Their pork binagoongan was fantastic! So flavorful and full of the best kind of fatty pork ! Their chicken afritada on the other hand was quite bland; my friend had an upset stomach, so it was perfect for him. For the halo halo, they just opened a can of mix (that you can get at any Asian grocery) and dumped ground ice over it, a tiny scoop of ice cream, and added some purple food color instead of ube--that was really disappointing. Still, I would definitely recommend this place for their savory food. Its some amazingly good Filipino and totally worth the wait Parking: Its in a small strip, so theres some parking, but youre competing with customers there for other businesses

Ordered panit canton, pancit bihon, chicken asado, and lumpia shanghai...where should I start....barely any meat all bones and liquid which spilled everywhere before we even got home. It was all very bland aside from the lumpia which were salty. Huge disappointment for the reviews...Waste of money will not be back.

Update: They have lowered the prices. ----- Authentic Filipino cuisine! Dont let the prices in the menu deter you from trying this restaurant. The serving size is ample for 2-3 people. Its more a of Family Plate. In the Philippines, meals are meant to be shared with family/friends. Hope youll give this local family business a try.

Kuya Walds is a clean, family friendly restaurant with serving sizes good for at least 2 people (this includes their appetizers). Their menu has a large variety of dishes so be adventurous! A high standard for freshness is held for each meal prepared as ingredients used are top quality, and dishes are only made once ordered. The pricing and quality are better than many of the filipino restaurants in Houston. This is not a fast food chain, but about as close to homemade authentic filipino food you can get. If youre looking to explore a new cuisine outside of the usual offered in College Station, come try Kuya Walds. Be on the lookout for karaoke nights!
