I was at the location for a birthday party. Upon entering I was very pleased with the picturesque environment. It was beautiful florals all over the place on the walls. Each section of the location had different types of floral backgrounds. The restaurant was a very nice size and welcoming. There was a good amount of people there. It didnt take long for our orders to be placed but a little bit of a wait for our food to be served. I ordered the lamb chops with mac and cheese and asparagus spears. All of the food was good but the lamb chops were outstanding. The meat was tender and had a nice taste to it. The customer service was also friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit the location again.

Found this place online, drove 30 miles with a 7pm reservation. Got to the location and was told by the Bartender that the kitchen is closed due gas leak but that theyre still selling alchohol.. I never received an update or nothing. The place definitely was a let down The music was EXTREMELY loud as well....people were lingering. It seemed liked a low key hood spot. Alot of folks just standing around in the front of the building and the side as well... definitely not what was illustrated on their website.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant, celebrating a friends birthday. The music was way too loud, extremely too loud. We were yelling to talk to each other. Our server, bless her heart, it was her 1st day; very unfamiliar with the menu, very. The food came out about 30 minutes after placing our order. The food was moderate. Unsure if Ill visit again. Very elegant venue, not my personal preference. That music, OMG!!!!!!

Horrible 1st experience! Ordered a simple dirty martini that never made it to the table. Ordered ribs, burnt and charred to the point that the molecular structure changed. The mashed potatoes, and okra cold. After sitting for 2.5 hrs., the manager came; did not resolve the problem whatsover. Did I mention three others did not get their drinks? He offers four free drinks for our large party to make it right...After 20 more minutes, no drinks arrived. Our server was great, atmosphere was great.The food was not! Not a satisfied customer and I will hesitate to return, if and only if I am begged! Get it together!!!

I was at Hillside Social this past Sunday, and my overall experience was good. I arrived with family at 11, and the restaurant was empty. A little after 12, more people started to arrive along with the DJ. I enjoyed the music, and the drinks were really good. We had the strawberry and lemon drop martinis. The butter pecan waffle was awesome, but the chicken was a little overcooked. They add a 17% gratuity to all parties under 6 and 20% gratuity for parties over 6. I didnt understand why the women wait staff were dressed in biker shorts. Their outfits didnt match the ambiance of the restaurant.

My wife and I were recommended to try this spot. So we went. When I say the ambience great we had a server by the name of Kimberly was immaculate, and the food was thats she recommended didn t disappoint my wife had Blackneed Grass-fed Ribeye with Sautéed Asparagus and I had Spiced Gulf Redfish with crab Fried Rice. IT S A VIBE!! You will not be disappointed!! M husband and I arrived without a reservation AND COURTNEY the hostess said no problem . She did let us know that there were 2 large parties ( party of 50 and party of 20) in process. She let us know the kitchen was about 45 minutes behind but no wait for drinks ! When I tell you that socialrita was IT .. I mean ! My husband enjoyed a pecan old fashion! The DJ, atomosphere and staff were AMAZING! I m getting my friends and family together for the next event! Our party of 9 ladies went to Happy hour and were served by Todja. We were warmly greeted upon entering and were quickly seated. Todja was very attentive and friendly. Everything we ordered was good especially the hummus, catfish and calamari. The happy hour drinks (margaritas) were quite good. Saxophonist during dinner was a nice surprise. We will be back.

I recently dined at this establishment and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the service was notably slow. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp, specifically requesting the fish to be cooked crispy. However, when my meal arrived, the fish was soft, and the shrimp was overcooked. On a positive note, the fries were well-prepared. There were seven of us in the party, and three received their meals first while the others had to wait approximately 15 minutes before their dishes were served. Two of us, who had ordered the catfish and shrimp, ended up sending it back and opting for pasta instead, which we shared. Overall, while the staff provided pleasant service, the food quality was disappointing. I spent a total of $58, which included two drinks, but I do not foresee returning based on this experience.

Decor was good and food was descent; however service is just as important. We had a reservation at 5pm on a Sunday. There was a few parties that had more than 4 people but restaurant was not full. A young lady asked us for our name. I thought she was checking us in but proceeded to talk with another employee. My family decided to do some photos while waiting. We went back to hostess stand and no came back to give us an update on our table. Several employees passed us up. Finally one of the young ladies who saw us early came back over after we motioned her over and sad sorry, she should have sat us earlier. She sat us in a booth but some of the seat was wet. We asked her could it be wiped down. She said sure. She left and I am thinking she going to get a towel. She proceeded to go and conversate with other employees. I then asked another employee can the seat be wiped down. She went to the back and wiped seat down. We sat down and did not get water for 10 minutes. We finally got a waiter over to the table who proceeded to take our order. After about 15 minutes the waiter comes over and says they cannot make the sweet potato cornbread. Any item that is not on the menu should have been communicated upfront. As a professional service has to be top notch. Management please work with your staff or you will not have returning customers. My friends and I went for brunch. Absolutely beautiful environment and food was top notch. Customer service is on point as well. The staff was friendly and professional. Our server, Mattey was a delight. She was very attentive w/o hovering. My mimosa was not quite right. I never mentioned it to her. but we were talking about it at our table briefly. I visited Hillside Social on Friday for Happy Hour with my mom. The food was decent and the decor was nice. My main issue was the cheap liquor. And when I say cheap I mean cheap. The Happy Hour cocktails were made with Taaka vodka and Tortilla Silver Tequila, in my opinion as an establishment thats crazy. I had one ranch water and was sick the next day. If I do return to the establishment I will not drink the liquor at all.

They have a great ambiance especially for photo opportunities, but the service was not up to par. The waitresses attire did not go with the esthetics of the establishment. The wait time to receive drinks and food was a bit extreme and they do not have the capacity in workers to service LARGE parties. They had a baby shower in front of the restroom area which cause a lot of traffic in their celebratory event. I do hope they improve because the food and drink were very delicious, it was just the service factor

My recent visit to Hillside Social was nothing short of a disaster. After waiting over an hour for our drinks in a restaurant with no air conditioning, we were left swatting away flies and spiders at our table. The lack of basic service, like refilling water or even acknowledging our presence, was astounding. When we decided to cancel our order due to these unacceptable conditions, the staff simply scratched it off a notepad, revealing they hadn t even placed the order yet. This raises serious concerns about whether this establishment meets even the most basic legal standards required of a restaurant. Additionally, being cash-only in this day and age feels highly suspect and unprofessional. With these glaring issues, I genuinely question whether Hillside Social should be allowed to remain open. This is a place I will never return to and would advise others to steer clear of.

I am willing to try new restaurants at least twice. My first visit was an epic FAIL. Dont order the shrimp and grits! OMG!! Calamari was overcooked. The worst!! The alcoholic beverage was mediocre. The pros: *Beautifully decorated *LOTS of photo opportunities *Ladies room was well stocked with thoughtful extras, like mouthwash, floss picks and feminine products *Impressive menu **the majority of my party enjoyed their menu items (with an exception that will be explained further into the review) The cons began when I entered the building. *The three female hostesses were engrossed in their phones, never looked up, even after I walked to the hostess station to ask for my private party. *A very demure young lady in a hot pink ONESIE walked up to me and led me to my party. *Smooth jazz played in the background, just a bit too loud to enjoy conversation-- and it kept skipping; the way an old school cd would skip back in the day. * I arrived 45 minutes late to the event, so I was surprised to learn that no food had been served to the 15 or so people who arrived on time. *As the young lady took my drink order, I learned that they did not offer sugar free options. I requested water, which I recieved 30 minutes later. *The host of my party (my family member) made multiple trips to the kitchen and brought back drinks because our server was MIA. *Because I was unfamiliar with this establishment, I chose to order a safe menu item -- cheeseburger and fries, medium well. *There were approximately 20 people in my party. Of those 20, I believe 7 ordered burgers and fries. The burgers trickled in; some, one at a time. To be exact; the person to my right and her two children received their burgers shortly after I arrived. No other food was served at that point; just 3 burgers. Then came two burgers for the people to my left. Then one for the person in front of me. Then came mine. It LOOKED good. However, when I sliced into it, raw pink meat stuck to my knife. Unfortunately I didnt think to take a picture. *The other the burgers were undercooked as well. Four burgers were sent back to the kitchen for a redo. At least 30 minutes later, three burgers were served. At that point, my whole party was now eating or done eating. I walked to the kitchen and found my demure server in the pink onesie and sweetly asked her to please cancel my order. She then informed me that the burger was prepared and pointed to the counter where it was resting (although I wasnt offered an explanation ss to why it hadnt been SERVED). I politely reaffirmed that I wished to cancel my order, as the rest of my party was done/almost done eating. Her demure presence seemed to shift to perturbed. I rejoined my party. The now perturbed hostess came to my table shortly thereafter to inform me that he said that I could have the burger to go, because it had been made and it will not be removed from my ticket. I asked to speak with the manager. A very nice gentleman, Sedrick, came to my table and asked how he could help. His response led me to believe that he was misinformed, as his response was, oh, you just want ONE burger removed? I thought you wanted to cancel everything! To which, I sweetly responded, no; just mine. everyone else has eaten. I left the establishment shortly thereafter. I was there for approximately two hours and 15 minutes. Constructive feedback to leadership at Hillside Social: *Encourage your team members to greet each customer. *Your menu and prices suggest a fine dining experience. There is a level of expectation that comes with that. Your three hostesses presented a fast food experience. *(Most importantly) Stress the importance of sending the food out TOGETHER and in a timely manner. I did not enjoy my experience, but I did take some pretty pictures.

We came here for my brother 35th day! Worst mistake ever! His entire bday brunch was ruined. Don t not waste your time going to this restaurant unless you want to deal with some ghetto hot mess! They need customers service training and properly etiquette for clothing. The dress as if they are bottle girls at a club and even presented themselves as if this restaurant is low class! It took over 2 1/2 hours for our food to come out and when they brought out our food they first brought out our waffles ONLY which were cold with not syrup. It s took 30-45 mins for us to get syrup and by then our waffles were cold cold. We ordered waffles along with bacon, eggs, lamb chops and more NEVER received that. Then they just kept bringing the wrong orders to our table messing up everyone order. We literally only received cold waffles! We asked for a manager which took her forever to come to our table. Let me just say, The manager has no management customers service experience either! She didn t do anything but tell us that she isn t going to charge us for what didn t come out to the table. Here s the kicker when we received our bill they were still trying to charge us for the gratuity From the original amount of food that we never even received. We also ordered martinis and never got them. Received no refills on our regular drinks. I m not even the type of customer to complain like this but service and attitudes were terrible. It wasn t even just our table. The entire restaurant customers were beyond mad. I should ve known the service was poor when we book a party of 13 last min and it was available! Don t waste your time going to this restaurant. I promise you are going to be super disappointed and like I should ve read the reviews .

Decor, very on trend, several areas for great photos. Don Diego was in house music till 8:30pm, that was an unexpected bonus. I wish I could tell you about the food and drinks, but sat for 25mins, only received water and a menu, but no waitress to take our order. Our waitress was serving a party of appx 15+, and another table. So they are clearly shoet staffed. We tried to chase down the manager, but he too, was stretched thin, so we left. When I tell you I actually couldn t wait to post my review today. So I was looking for a beautiful girly place to have my sisters Bridal Brunch and I stumbled upon Hillside Social a week after they opened. I called and made my reservation, the staff was so nice and accommodating. They did let me know how the bill would need to be paid so I made sure to tell my guests to all bring cash to make it easy for us all. 15 guests is what we had. Two days and the morning of our reservation Hillside called me to make sure we would still be in attendance. Our reservation was for 11 and although we didn t book the private room, our table was off in an area that still felt very private. Our waiter Tony was INCREDIBLE!! He was so patient and understanding because OF COURSE the place is sooooo BEAUTIFUL that we had to get all of our photos in while we waited for a few more of our guests. The food was sooo good!! And to top it off, there was a DJ who was really great and really set the vibes. For this to be our first time, man did we have a TIME! We were basically there from about 11:15am- 2pm. Had birthday reservations at 8:30 for a party of 25. Everyone was here by 8:35. We didn t get seated until after 9:00 because the GM said they were cleaning tables. The service was terrible and they didn t bring appetizers out until after 10. They brought one devil egg cut in half and tried to charge $16 trying to pass it off as an order. I ordered seafood artichoke dip and the bagel chips were hard and stale. I told the waitress and she said she would bring out some more. 10 mins had gone by and I asked her again and she said she was focusing on getting everyone drinks so I said ok I don t want the dip anymore. I wish I could comment on the food but my aunt and I didn t have the pleasure when we originally got there at 3:50pm they told us that the kitchen was closed so they could prepare for the dinner menu and would be back open at 5pm since it was only an hour and we are at a mall we decided to walk around and come back around 4:55pm we returned after a few minutes we were told the kitchen might not open till 5:30pm because the chef had an attitude since we had already waited the hour we decided to wait the 30 minutes while we waited we were sat where no one came to check and see if we wanted anything to drink which they told us was available while we waited by 5:45 we decided to just give it a rest and take our business elsewhere.

First off major kudos to Matty our waitress she was amazing and so professional. She had a big party and she made time for her other guest. At first I didnt like my drink and she was willing to take it back but I continued to drink it and it got better, now the food the Salmon was good it needed some extra seasoning,however the cream sauce was lacking flavor, once I added some salt and pepper, I think if some paprika was added in the sauce it would have been bomb. The green beans was mid they should be cooked in chicken broth and the mac and cheese was decent. I will return probably only for drinks, definitely top tier

This place has the worst service. Its my 1st time not sure what to order. I ask the waitress for suggestions, she mumbled 5 things on the menu with no specific reasons...you expect a waitress to say..I recommend this, if you like this etc.- so, my friend and I took a safe pick, both order baked salmon and a side. 20mins later, waitress comes back to the table and explains that the chef doesnt want to send out the salmon, cause its not right. We can order something else for a discounted price. 20minutes later, we get the order and then the bill comes out with no discount and 17% standard gratuity. We choice to walk to the host and ask for a manager, as the promised discount was NOT applied to the ticket. A young lady later identified as the lead took the ticket and said she wasnt given the ticket to be discounted and walk away with the ticket and the ticket was returned to us by the original waitress. THE LEAD should have brought the ticket back with an apology for the delay of the food and the promised discount NOT applied. @ this point We cant justify the 17% auto gratuity . The food order was not what we expected, we had to call another waitress for more water and then the issues with the ticket..absolutely NOT. We spoke to another gentleman @ the front desk, the real manager, and he apologize foe our experience, but it was too late at this point DO not waste your time coming to this restaurant, if I ever come back. I would eat somewhere, as more then 50% of the customers were waiting on food, longer then they should have, but the venue is super cute and quite a few places to take pictures. This was my second time there, the first time dinning. The Oxtails flavor wise are a 10/10, the only downside to them were that they could ve been cooked long so they were tender. With that said they were so good paired with the Gouda grits I took them home and cooked them a little more in my insta pot and throughly enjoyed them. Gouda Grits 10/10 and hubby had the redfish and had zero complaints. The drinks are okay, but the price point makes it not something to complain about. We missed the live band but enjoyed the DJ. Parking: Full open parking lot right in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, definitely an adult vibe.

My husband and I dined here this evening and had an amazing experience!!! Greeted by Ms. Aundrea, very kind spirit! We had the pleasure of also meeting Chef Charm! Her expertise in the kitchen is phenomenal! They have a option for vegans as well, so I was pleased! The General Manager Reese came to our table as well to ensure that we were enjoying our evening. We had an amazing conversation with him as well! The best waitress ever....Laura! The restaurant has nice ambiance, that s it. The food was extremely average. It wasn t worth the price. Service was terrible. Our waitress, Teisha checked on us a couple times. We had to wait 30 minutes to receive our check. When she brought it to the table she handed it over and walked off. No thank you, please come again, nothing. My bill was incorrect. I had chicken and waffles. According to the menu it should have been $17, they charged me $22. There was a lady prancing around the restaurant in a green dress, who I presume was the manager. We visited Hillside Social last Friday night. We had reservations at 815p. The vibe was really nice. The DJ kept music going all night. Plus, we received complimentary champagne upon arrival. The atmosphere was beautiful. There were so many photo ops. Seating was comfortable. The furniture was nice. I loved all of the different decor. Every area had a slightly different vibe. Service -- Our waitress was very nice. However, service was lacking... but she was kind, and the restaurant is new. Drinks -- There was only one bartender, so it took forever for us to get our drinks. We werent in a hurry, so I didnt mind the wait... but the drinks werent good. I has the Lemontini. It tasted like it had melted ice in it. My friend had the cotton candy drink, but the actual drink was really sweet, and the set up of the drink was perplexing (refer to the photo). Appetizers -- The calamari was overdone and needed seasoning. The deviled eggs were good. I would just prefer more egg the yolk mixture. It tasted like it was mostly additives like brown mustard, etc... but it wasnt horrible. Entrees -- The price of thw entrees was reasonable. My friend had the lamb chops, and I had the Red Snapper. My food was really good. Both of our plates came out hot and tasted fresh. I also had the mashed potatoes, which were good. With a few tweaks, I think this restaurant can be really great. If the drinks had been better, then I definitely would have ordered more than one... and the menu items just need a little editing.. but overall, I would give it a B- (80%). Good start, for sure.

I know this place just opened so Im going to go easy but be honest with them. It might have potential....sometime next year. The vibe is okay, the music selection is good the aux cord just isnt hooked up properly, music kept going in and out. The food was mid like mid...mid. Friday night Starting out, it was a bit quiet & I said to my husband they should have music. Not long after the music started. The restaurant is very beautiful, loved the atmosphere. We should have stopped at the appetizers, very filling, and large portions. Dinner for me:Roasted chicken with mashed potatoes grilled asparagus, sautéed garlic spinach with mushroom sauce. Husband:Chilean seabass was not so good. It was overcooked. Chase, manager offered to remake, we declined because of time, he apologized, asked how he could make it better. He stated to ask for him when we come back. Waitress Emma was pleasant but overly talkative, I liked her. She repeated the price of the seabass a few times, which didnt sit well with my husband as if he couldnt pay It was taken off the tab, but he made up for it in the tip. The establishment was beautiful. It was nicely put together and had great ambiance. Unfortunately, the food and service were subpar. Our server had no knowledge of the menu and took way too long for drinks. Our cups were often empty. It was a Thursday night and there were a total of 4 tables the entire two hours we were there. The food . The food was terrible and not worth the money. My husband had the surf and turf. The shrimp and lobster had absolutely no taste at all. Not even a seafood taste. The one piece of lobster was shell-less and smaller than the shrimp. He enjoyed the steak. But his plate came out about 5-7 minutes after I received my plate. I ordered the sword fish - the server later came back and advised they were out. I then ordered the baked chicken. It was flavorful but was about the size of a small pig in the blanket. The menu said potatoes were the side but they put an entirely different side on the plate. Overall, it was an interesting experience. We were excited to try the place but won t be back for dinner. On 9/27/2023 we went to the restaurant for an early dinner. We asked if there was a dress code and the staff members stated yes. The Head chef came out and confirmed this. We didnt argue, we complied and left to change. He suggested that we go to another location, but we stated that wed be back, because we really wanted to try the food. Before we left, there was a family directly behind us who heard that there was a dress code. Upon leaving and returning dressed to code, that same family who was wearing shorts, flip flops and tank tops were allowed to dine there. The atmosphere( even though not many patrons), good drinks, and friendly staff made the dinner ok. I didnt want to write this review, but due to me feeling ill now, I will. My table, and I ordered multiple meals, which mine included lobster mac & cheese. The taste seemed off at first bite, thought it was the cheese, but after my friend stated that her shrimp were spoiled, and you could taste the spoilness, I immediately knew that the lobster was also spoiled. My friend mentioned this to the waitress, that laughed it off. The waitress asked if I would like a to go box for a full serving of lobster mac, I said no, she left it at that. Any experienced staff, in a supposed to be upscale restaurant would have immediately addressed this.

Finally a nice place in cedar hill!! Came here on a whim one Sunday after church. When we walked in, there was no one to greet us or seat us. After a minute or two of us just standing there, the bartender saw us and came over to assist. Not a huge deal, but there is a certain level of service expected when you pay these prices. After being seated we waited several minutes before anyone offered water, and it was a few more until the server came over. They have brunch on Saturday and Sunday and I had the second best chicken and waffles I ve ever had in my life. (And I m a chicken and waffle snob! I go out of my way for good chicken and waffles and these do not disappoint! In fact, the only thing keeping these from being the best is that the chicken is still on the bone, so I couldn t have chicken and waffle in the same bite.) My wife s experience wasn t as positive. They couldn t serve the burger or the filet because they were out of something. My wife said the steak and eggs were just okay and the mimosas were VERY juice heavy. For $9 she expected more champagne. We learned that they re under new management (so I expect service to improve) and we will be back for dinner sometime soon. Definitely worth trying!

This place is gorgeous. They really did an excellent job with the decor. The service was exceptional. The owner came around several times to check on us. The food was really tasty. My lamb was seasoned really well but could have been a little more tender. I expected the green beans to be fresh green beans for the price but they appeared to be canned. We had to get mashed potatoes instead of baked potatoes because on a Friday evening only an hour after opening, they were out of baked potatoes. They did give us loaded mashed potatoes which were pretty good. The chicken breast wrapped with prosciutto was not a chicken breast at all, it appeared to be a garnished hen with a small piece of prosciutto laid on top. It was tasty but misleading. The complementary birthday cheesecake was beautiful and delicious. It came out all lit up like the 4th of July. Minus the minor hiccups with the food, it was overall a great experience and I would give them another chance. I pray that this constructive criticism will be helpful and that they will make the needed adjustments to prosper and stay around. It was great to have an upscale experience in our own neighborhood without having to drive far away. I pray that God blesses this restaurant to grow and be prosperous.

My husband and I celebrated our 26th Wedding Anniversary there. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Our waiter knew that we were celebrating, so she brought out cheesecake with a sparkling candle. We will be back!

Service was HORRIBLE. Arrive 6:30 with a party of 8. Reservations were at 6:30pm. We were seated immediately. This was great. The atmosphere was incredible. On to the service: 10 minutes for waitress to arrive. Another 30 minutes before the drinks arrive. By this time we told management, the service was not great. (By the way I ordered a coke). Manager compensated with a bottle of champagne. A great gesture until we didn t receive our food till 8:30. By this time, they had to bring out to go boxes as we had another engagement. $64 steak cooked well done when we asked medium well with butterfly cut. It was hard as rock. By this time, management was running and we literally had to chase him down. We all left thoroughly disappointed and my best friend dinner ruined. Black owned and we all know we know love great customer service, yet we received horrible service.

Me and family attended Hillside prime in Cedar Hill and from the time we walked in it was top notch service. The hostess greated us and once we were seated she remembered it was my aunt birthday and said Happy Birthday and from that point the head chef, Mrs Rosie, the manager and our waitress all came out to say Happy Birthday and show their gratitude of us spending the evening with Hillside. Now about the food!!!!! The presentation was beautiful and the food was DELICIOUS . The vegan chef came out at the end and explained how the bread pudding peach cobbler is all vegan and very tasty. I suggest you go for yourself and make your own review you will not regret it!!!!!

I came here for brunch and ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes. They had just opened so it wasnt very busy but I did have to wait quite a while for someone to take my drink order. Steak was huge and cooked well. Steak was very well seasoned.. Portions sizes are very big.

My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. We were pleased with the complete experience. The owner Cedric greeted us and requested our opinion regarding the food.The staff was very attentive and personable. The best steak in this area and my wife loved her salmon. The cheesecake is outstanding as well. The piano player played some of our favorites. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

The live band was excellent. I ordered the Red snapper, they put a sauce on the plate, I cut a piece of meat and proceeded towards the sauce, THAT WAS STUCK TO THE PLATE, didn t move!!! The waiter even shook his head when he came to take the plate. He didn t even apologize. They got a 3 ONLY because the band was good and the waiter was nice.

Hillside Prime Steakhouse Review: All thumbs DOWN! When making our reservation it was asked if we were celebrating a special event I clearly noted it was our anniversary. We arrive there and throughout the visit not one mention from anyone of the special occasion as other upscale establishments. Why ask at all on the reservation site? Hostess asked us if we would be ok sitting at a high table, absolutely NOT, why do you have these bar tables in an upscale steakhouse to begin with (in the main dining area)? Hostess comes back and asked if we would be ok sitting at the bar area absolutely NOT! Again this is why it s important to pay attention to the occasion of the visit. Hostess goes to manager to explain we want to be seated at a table, since there were no tables available at 7:00 for our 7:15 reservation other than bar stool high tables and the bar area. The manager cleared a table for four to seat us. The manager clearly was not pleased with this he never speaks and only stands there in the way. Waitress comes to table I ask what their house wine is she responds I don t know, but we have a bottle of Chardonnay for half price. Waitress never went over the menu never pointed out anything about the menu. We ordered two steaks both medium well sliver of pink, husbands steak cooked properly with zero flavor, my steak is pictured. Again, this was presented to me as a medium well steak. We also ordered lobster mac & cheese that did not make it to the table with the steak neither did the salad until we reminded the waitress we ordered them, her response was it was a madhouse in the kitchen. Mac & cheese was so runny it was soup, literally soup. Waitress wanted us to cut into the steaks to check for how they were prepared, we had to ask her to go get steak knives, she returns and puts the knives on our plates not the table. Live music, there was a piano player and a sax player .please pick one the both of them playing at the same time was a bit much. We tried to patronize an upscale business for our special occasion, one that is also a BOB in our neighborhood, I left out quite a few other issues because we have no intentions on returning. We left WITHOUT eating dinner on our anniversary, you think the manager ever came by our table to see why we were leaving untouched food?! Nope.

Do not sleep on this black owned restaurant!! Lets support our own so we can finally have & keep superb upscale dining in our Southern area, and not have to drive North. Chef Jolly did his thang!!! All the food we had was very flavorful & delicious. It was a very enjoyable bday! Customer service was on point from the owner, the chefs, bartenders & the waiteresses. I hate to give this review and I hope Im able to update it in the future! I actually cant comment on the food or drinks because after 45 minutes we received neither. We ordered the mimosa flight but when we did get it 30mins later it was spilled all over our table. Not really at the fault of the server but whomever prepped this. They need to just simply the process... you can make bringing a bottle on ice with a few beakers of juice an easy process but they complimented it so much! Then 5 minutes later after no one else has come over to apologize the table next to us that had just gotten there received their mimosas! It was at this time we canceled our 3 entrees and just left. Not only had nothing come out but what we saw being served just didnt look appetizing. We still tipped our waitress as we did feel like this wasnt her fault just lack of any leadership, direction, or really any support! Her and the hostess tried but we just couldnt do it! Hopefully Ill get the courage to try it again but when you tell me that the avocado toast on the menu (first item) is no longer available I should have known to throw in the towel. (Its toast and avocado) Also, if you are wondering, no it was not busy! The bartender was on her phone when we left instead of correcting our mimosas!

I am not one to write reviews but our experience at Hillside Prime was incredible. The food was immaculate, the chefs came out to check on us and gave us a few different tastings, including a vegan option. The server provided great service, and the atmosphere was perfect with an amazing singer for entertainment and was just beautiful. I am sure this will become one of our favorite spots. Vegetarian options: Fried jambalaya and Corn Casserole

I m sorry, I don t understand how people can give this place 4/5 star reviews. For the price of the food, it is not good. When I order a steak for $80 there is a certain level of expectation, and this place falls short. Sides were very bland. The decor looks cheap especially the cheap looking gold paint accents that just don t match all of the restaurant. The nicest part of the place is the bar area. They do have some nice drinks. I would return for that and just sit in that area. That s the type of decor they should have tried for in the rest of the place. The service was ok, but could tell a lot of the wait staff was new and inexperienced. The food took a long time to arrive and there were a total of 4 parties there and was on a Wednesday. If I m going to pay $80 per person, I won t be coming here. If you re used to some of the quality steakhouses in Dallas, I wouldn t come here as you ll be very disappointed.

My husband and I were excited about a new restaurant opening in our town, so we decided to check it out. The atmosphere was great, the staff was amazing. I order The Redfish, and It came out a bit undercooked. After sending it back twice, The amazing waitress said, Im not going to have them redo this, instead Ill bring you the menu so you can order something else. The manager came to our table, and offered us a free appetizer for our troubles. He also did not charge me for the Redfish, nor my reorder. Thats what I call Great customer service! Thank you guys for a great experience, and we will be back

We went for Fathers Day and had an absolutely amazing experience. The 4 course experience was perfection. Kudos to the chef. The food was unbelievably amazing. This a brand new steakhouse and I believe everyone needs to remember to give grace and be kind before you start throwing jabs at a black owned business. Our drinks were deliciously strong and the piano music was amazing. Our food did take a while but it was pretty good. The medium steak was a little too pink in some areas but it still tasted good. Asparagus was delicious and the whipped potatoes. Not a fan of the lobster sauce but recipes change all the time so I will try it again in the future. The manager was super nice too ! If I could give them a -5 I would, I tried to eat the day before Fathers Day to avoid the restaurant being overcrowded. I ended up waiting 2.5 hours for our food and nothing was cooked correctly, chicken tenders were pink inside, come to find out, after 2 hours they rushed our food out and still effed up. Waitress told us she didn t know how much longer because the kitchen was backed up. But people that came after us were finishing eating and leaving. Every time I try to spend the black dollar man, and I hate to say it. Worst experience at a steakhouse ever. I cancelled my order and went to Canes.
