Masons is BY FAR one of the most UNDERRATED places to eat in Duncanville. The prices are incredibly family friendly and the quality of food is great. In no way shape or form your traditional fast food quality. On occasion, there is somewhat of a wait time, however it is more than worth it. I would truly recommend this location/place to anyone trying to escape the few standard typical locations to eat in Duncanville but want the most bang for their buck and great quality.

Omg! You cannot lose, I recently moved to the area so I have never heard of Masons but oh when I found out lol! Immediately became a regular . Ive only had the catfish nugget basket and their wings, which never seem to disappoint + the prices are reasonable, what more do I have to say! Get in your car & head to Masons chicken & seafood.

First time we walked into this place and I have to admit the food here is AMAZING I would say the chicken strips are well fried, they give a bigger portion which is great, the price is worth it, they season it really well, they have great customer service, a shout out to our server ALEXIS she was great. Masons is an eatery located in a non-conspicuous place, an older small retail center on the edge of a residential neighborhood. I came here on the recommendation of a friend. The menu is varied and I would describe it as home cooking comfort food. Each time I go there I order something different. Theyre hitting home runs on every plate. It may take me several months of meals to go through the entire menu but that will be a delightful journey. Often non-chain restaurants will have a special food signature dish. With Masons it is a humble condiment: Masons special sauce. I have tried dipping (or pouring on) several foods. In each case the result was a tasteful enhancement of the adorned food (frys are my favorite). Find Masons and enjoy everything they have to offer.

The food is hot and good. Sometimes its fried a little too hard but it is worth the money. One thing I will say is if I ask for extra lettuce. And extra onions. If any customer asks for extra something, why cant you guys just provide it? I dont understand whats so hard or difficult about it. It should be already cut up. Just put it in the tagobox !!! I realize over the years every time I ask for extra lettuce or extra onions. Its like they purposefully leave it out or give me small pitiful pieces. Cause they dont really want to have to go cut it. ..other than that foods good.

I ordered the catfish and shrimp basket, plus a slice of cheesecake, which was not put in my bag. Before I could even take a bite, I could tell the catfish and shrimp were overcooked. After taking a bite, it was a no for me. The catfish was overcooked and appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp as it was super dry. I threw it away and decided to cut my losses. Today, I went back for my cheesecake. As I explained to the young lady that I was there the day before and that one of my items was missing, she took the receipt from me and just glared at me, the receipt, and back to me. It was clear to me that, in her mind, I was not being truthful. Finally, without speaking to me, she retrieves the cheesecake, places it in a bag, and pushes it toward me. I stood there blankly for a second in disbelief at the level of rudeness I was experiencing. I look in the bag and only see the cheesecake. So, I asked for the strawberry topping, which came with it. I am told, You didnt pay for the topping. Oh, I didnt realize it didnt come with it. I then asked well, since I had to come back for my cheesecake, can you give it to me? No, you have to pay for it. Wow! That was all I could think. Not only did she fail to apologize for their mistake, but she didnt care even to try to make it right. I mean, damn, would giving me the topping going to bankrupt you? On my way out, I made it known I would not be back, and she made it clear she was ok with that. Oh, one more thing: Can you ask your employees to pull up their pants while working? Its just disgusting staring at somebodys underwear while ordering food. SMH.

Save your money. The food is disgusting. How do you mess up a shrimp salad? Over cook the shrimp! Leave the shells on the tails! Give nothing but lettuce, 2 thinly sliced tomatoes, and an old piece of onion Yuck, never again will I give them my money. The quality of food has gone down tremendously.

The food was horrible. The catfish tasted a day or two old. You can tell it was reheated fish. My daughter had a burger that made her sick the following morning. She got food poisoned. She was throwing up and had stomach cramps and fever. The food is over priced and not worth the money at all. This business needs to be closed until the food inspector checks this place out.

It was absolutely horrible, the only thing decent was the salad however the pieces was so large I had to cut it up. The rice smelled horrible and was overcooked, the grilled catfish was slimey and nasty and in pieces with mo taste, the grilled porkchop was so thin and hard it was not edible. The lemon pepper wings was so salty and fries were hard. I couldnt take it back (car down) so I took salad off and tossed the rest. Ive been to Masons before but this is horrible and an expensive lesson. Reasonable Prices but an Expensive lesson. When I called to complain the attitude wasnt good. NEVER AGAIN

First time coming to this place! We were missing out! Honestly for $23 bucks not bad at all, we had two meals 2 piece fried tilapia I sub my fries for dirty rice and a mix plate with shrimp, catfish and fries plus a drink. With the old school music, the atmosphere was relaxing, the young man that helped us was very quiet but polite, the food was flavorful, hot food stayed hot didn t get cold as fast so that means food was freshly cooked. Will definitely be our spot when we craving delicious fish! Parking: It s a bit crowded since there is many others businesses nearby so but we found pretty good ones during lunch time on a Saturday

Extremely rude lady at the front. This was the 3rd time since May that she has been rude to me. I will not be back. The first time was in person. The last two times were on the phone. The corn meal coating on the catfish was delightful - crisp and tasty! I really enjoyed the crinkle-cut fries and lemon pepper shrimp, too. Yesterday, I initially went to the Desoto location cause that s the only one I was familiar with and I live close to. I waited in the drive way for about 15mins and no one was able to take my order cause they were busy. There were people in the parking lot, inside and in the drive thru waiting for their food. I didn t even get to order. I saw the other locations number on the menu and I called Cedar hill location to see if they were busy and the traffic had died down before I called. I order over the phone while I was exiting the Desoto location and my meal was ready once we got there. Me and my bf love the chicken tenders here they are really good. But tonight when my bf came home with the food he was mad because he tried to place the Oder over the phone and as soon as the cashier who was working tonight (11/21/2022 around 9pm)answered she put him on hold right away which was not the problem. The problem was when he was driving up to the restaurant he was on hold the whole ride and when he got there (still on hold) the girl at the cash register was on FaceTime there was no one in that restaurant first of all and when he asked why she did that (tryna give her the benefit of the doubt) she wanted to act clueless. We don t know who the manager so we didn t know who to talk so hopefully you see this because she is playing with your money while she still getting paid. Thank you .

Had a wonderful experience with the young lady at the window. Very polite, corteous, and paid great attention to detail. Food was average but her service was everything. I believe her name was Sanyia.

Orders catfish blackened as well as fried. Very gummy in texture I attempted to place in air fryer at home, Catfish was not good. Now I questioning if it was catfish or tilapia. I called immediately eight my concern. I was told to bring the food back to restaurant and was given a partial refund because I didn t bring back 100% of each order. How is that even possible if I plated and had to taste it to learn it wasn t prepared well.. (2) piece fillet isn t a complete 2 piece I returned on of the two and the entire blackened platter. The salad and fries is what we ate; fish was trashed. This is unfortunate customer service because I normally get the family size orders for my family gathering and bless other families. Lost me on this one. The inconvenience of driving with last night from a mansfield to cedar hill. Spent $29, refunded $14. No offer to prepare the meal again.

Poor customer service at the window. The young lady with the long braids in her hair with glasses on gave me my change out the window and basically dropped it all on the grown and closed the window. Didn t say she was sorry or anything. I had to open my door and literally pick up my money off the ground. Very poor service and no one friendly

Well, Tonights service was not that good sorry.I called in my order. When I got there, I was the only one in the drive through and guess what? I still had to wait a long time being the fact I called in. I was upset because it was not hot from the grease it was hard and seem like Tilapia instead of Catfish fil a. The server was not engaged got my order confused with wings. Service, was off tonight thats what I get for not cooking.

Excellent Place!!! I LOVE their Catfish & the Special is a great deal for $5.99! (2pc fillets, fries, & hush puppies). Corn nuggets are not on the menu but they do have them & I suggest you get you some! The Fried Shrimp Basket? Ummm....Delicious! Tartar sauce is OFF THE CHARTS! Its the best Ive ever had! Ive never tried the Chicken here but why would I when the Seafood is so AWESOME? Keep it up guys! Im hooked!

So let me just be start off by being honest. Yes, I havent had the best experience with the staff in the past BUT they have made some improvements. The new girls that they have hired have been attentive and friendly. Now lets talk about this food! So my favorite is their lemon pepper wings and 4 piece chicken tender combo. Let me just say that it is SOOOO good. The tenders are well seasoned and the lemon pepper wings are the best that Ive ever tasted. Keep it up Masons!

This place is managed horribly. Ordered food from grub hub and was not ready when I got here. The lady at the counter couldnt find my order. I sat here for a half hour while other people got their food. I wish I could give no stars! This place is a joke! Stay away from there! Found out they hadnt even started to make our food. And the cook started arguing with the lady at the counter when she said can you make this mans food? Never again! I ended up walking out after having paid for it

I would give them no stars if I could. Management and employees are absolutely unprofessional/rude. My catfish was raw/pink on the inside undercooked. The dining area needs cleaning with food crumbs every where. Tables need sanitizing.They have no idea how to treat & accommodate customers. The Health Department should visit them very soon. Will never get a dime from me again and this was my first time visiting. Awful experience

Those butterfly colossal shrimp are mostly batter and a not so colossal shrimp. The fish fillets are wayyyy smaller than I remember however the price has drastically increased....
