Wow, what has happened to this once beautiful park?? My kids used to fish here, everyday when they were young. It was a beautiful place to walk around also. But I havent been here in a few years now, but stopped by the other afternoon. Nothing is taken care of! You cant even walk close to the pond due to all the ducks and pigeons...not to mention the walkways and grass is filled with bird poop!! Seems kind of dangerous if you walk a dog, due to the excessive bird poop.

Josey Ranch Athletic Complex offers a variety of facilities that cater to sports enthusiasts and families looking for active outdoor fun. The complex scores points with its well-maintained soccer fields and baseball diamonds, which are frequently lauded by local sports teams for their upkeep and availability. However, the complex does not come without its drawbacks. One of the main issues is the limited parking availability, especially during weekend tournaments or peak hours, which can be a significant inconvenience. Additionally, while the indoor facilities offer a respite from harsh weather conditions, they often feel cramped and outdated compared to more modern complexes in surrounding areas. Another common complaint is the lack of adequate seating areas for spectators, making it uncomfortable during long games or meets. Although Josey Ranch Athletic Complex serves its purpose for basic recreational needs and local sports events, enhancements in facility updating, expanding parking, and improving spectator accommodations could elevate its status from satisfactory to excellent.

Came here to see the eclipse with the friends were in town visiting. They had an event going on but we didnt participate. Played on the playground, got a great view of the eclipse, and headed back home. Seemed like a well kept park with lots of options and things to do.

Enjoy walking here and feeding the ducks or geese(waterfowl food, because bread is really bad for digestive system). There are 2 beautiful white swans that live here as well. But Ive only seen one around lately any feedback to where the other one went would be helpful. Otherwise a wonderful place to spend quality time.

I regularly use the senior center myself. Its always clean and orderly and a great place to meet new folks. The library is there and theres a little cafe for you to get a coffee or an ice cream or something to eat or snack. 01/02/24 - Each day offers scheduled activities at the Senior center like various cars games, mahjong, chess, billiards and some seniors meet to have lunch together. Minimum age is 50. Enjoy!

This is a really nice park. Its massive. Plenty of parking. Many picnic tables and trash bins throughout. Clearly marked (distance) walking trails. More than one restroom. Only thing, it is not well lit (it gets hot in Texas so if you walk your dogs before the sun comes up like we do sometimes).. its otherwise great!

A peaceful park. Ive lived in the most my life and love this park. Beautiful, quiet...whats not to love? So many families enjoying life here. I see many elderly walking along everyday. The ONLY problem i have with the park is the public bathrooms are...scary. Lately Ive been seeing an influx of graffiti and homeless individuals at the park. The graffiti is often vulgar and simply unsightly.

The park area is a large open space with a few benches, and even more concrete picnic tables. The small pond has some water birds, and a small fishing pier. The walking paths are nice. Unfortunately there is trash on the ground from visitors that are inconsiderate. Nestled between the library and sports fields it is a nice place for a picnic or a stroll.
