Vonda at the Beaumont Tx location was amazing. She treated my husband and I like family since the very first visit to the store. She went through the entire menu letting us know what they had to offer. That was great She just have an amazing, upbeat, positive attitude each and every time we come here. It s because of Vonda s customer service that my husband and I chose to have lunch together here. You will always have a customer with us because of amazing service we get. The chicken was good but the restaurant was not clean. There were only two tables that didnt need to be cleaned. There were several leaks throughout the seating area. This restaurant has only been open for a few months. I expected the inside to be better. The person who took our order was uninterested in paying attention to what we were ordering. A friend walked in as we were ordering and he kept stopping to talk to his friend. I have eaten at other Golden Chick restaurants and have always been impressed with the food, service and cleanliness. Unfortunately this location was a disappointment.

Purchased a THREE piece roasted chicken dinner for $11.90 WITHOUT tax and I received a wing, thigh and what I believe was a Cornish hen drumstick. That was absolutely ridiculous and should NEVER have been on the line to serve any1. The macaroni tasted chalky as if it were powdered cheese and the coleslaw had NO TASTE whatsoever. This new GC is on point! I enjoyed watching the employees behind the counter work well as a team to move the customers through and serve their food in short order. The chicken, wings, coleslaw, and rolls were delicious! I let the manager know how well of a job his team was doing. I hope they keep up the good energy the longer the store stays open. The chicken was freshly made. My favorite was the roasted chicken. It was flavorful and juicy. The fried chicken did not have as much flavor but it was crunchy and hot. The okra was also fresh and crunchy. The staff looked like they were enjoying being there and were super friendly. Just be careful if youre in a truck or larger vehicle. The corners are square and hard to maneuver.

Feb 6th, 2024. 7pm. First time at the Beaumont store though Ive been to other locations. The line was long though thats to be expected for a new restaurant, but it moved decently. My turn to order & I got 2 words out before the young lady through the speaker started loudly hysterically laughing. Totally threw me so I stopped talking due to her unprofessional manner. She lulled to a giggle & said she was sorry through additional giggles. Super irritating. Finally placed my order & received it quickly. The young guy at the window (I wish Id gotten his name) was so nice & had extremely good manners. Something my order taker could learn from. We ordered a 12pc mixed family meal with rolls, coleslaw, mac n cheese (my husband loves) & corn nuggets (ordered in addition). Everything was delicious. The chicken moist & flavorful (those giving 1 star saying the food is bland is obviously looking for a free meal because the food is consistently the same at every location including Beaumont). The rolls fluffy, great with the addition of honey btw & sides were good too. Overall well try again simply because the food was legitimately good. Hope to get better service when giving my order next time. Therefore the subtracted stars.

After trying other Golden Chick restaurants I was excited about having a new one in town to try. The drive through attendants were very nice and helpful. I ordered 2 combos. The line moved pretty fast. I was a little disappointed when I got to the window and was told that the roasted chicken I ordered was out. I don t care much for dark meat so I told them to just give me white fried. Everything was hot and fresh. When I got home and bit into the much anticipated chicken I was highly disappointed. It was bland with no seasoning at all(not even the crust). The roll did not even taste the same as the ones I have had before. The dirty rice, fried okra and mac & cheese were good. I am hoping that they eventually add seasoning to the chicken. I am willing to give it another shot once they are open a little longer.

I went this morning (1/30/24) for their grand opening. I was surprised there wasnt a long line, which was good for me because I was stopping for breakfast on my way to work. I have eaten at Golden Chick in Houston multiple times and never knew they had breakfast so I had to try it out. I order the Honey Butter Tender Roll, French Toast Sticks and Hash browns. Everything was good. However I did think the combination of the honey butter roll with the tender was a little off, but still worth trying. I just started eating French toast a few months ago so Im no expert but I thought they were great. Reminded me of a funnel cake. A little powdered sugar would have really made them a 10. The hash browns were fried perfectly and were not too greasy. Overall I enjoyed my 1st breakfast experience. I will defining be back later today to get me some Wicked Wings!!!
