If could give Ms Wester more than 5 stars I would. I m not a religious fanatic, but the Lord knew what I needed for a lawyer when I found her. She really does care for her clients. She fought hard for me and my kids in my divorce process. She s tough and doesn t take crap. I needed that. She did not disappoint. Her, assistant, Crystal was very helpful and was on top of things. I % recommend Debra Wester Law Office. No regrets! Please give her a call if you need an awesome lawyer.

Debbie is a very professional, knowledgeable attorney, the absolute best at what she does. She cares, does what is best in your specific case, always makes time for you to answer any and every question you may have. Crystal her secretary is the sweetest ,very proficient. Highly recommend!! Debbie and her staff were amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable. They are very much a family oriented firm. Very Responsive. I couldnt have asked for better representation. Her legal secretary is very helpful and amazing as well throughout the process. The safety, well being of the childern are her top priority.

If you want a good, straightforward lawyer, Mrs. Wester is your woman, her and her staff are amazing. I had to hire her to increase his child support and instead of going after him for everything he had, she got us a really good mediator to oversee our conversations. She wanted to help us co parent better and do what was best for the kids. She is very matter of fact, might not be what you want to hear like some lawyers will tell you. But everything she told me would happen. It did. She really helped as a lawyer to not just get his child support increased but helped us co parent better. Highly suggested

I would be thrilled to recommend her to anyone. Quality, honesty, and passionate! My highly contested divorce/ custody was interrupted by my original lawyer retiring. Debra stepped in flawlessly and stunned me. Her biggest concern, one that the other half dozen lawyers I had spoken with never mentioned, was first and foremost the best interest of my children. She would frequently remind me to consider whats best for them. In a case that I was positive was impossible to settle in mediation, Debras skill and prowess ensured a successful meditation where we got almost everything we asked for. As a father, its difficult to win custody of your children but Debra has the knowledge and experience necessary to win! Other lawyers wanted to shrug off mediation and get paid to go to court; Debra bent over backwards to ensure I didnt have to spend that extra money. For her, it isnt about the money but rather the client and the children. They say that nobody wins in a divorce, but Debra ensured that my children won and thats the only thing that matters to me.

I was referred to Debra by a family friend when seeking counsel for a divorce involving child custody issues. Salty but effective was the wording used to describe her to me. Working within the Hardin County Court is a challenging dynamic of antiquated systems and a judge that doesnt want to be on his bench nor make decisions. He wants the parties to figure it out on their own, unfortunately, that only works when both parties are capable of effective problem solving, and if they were, the case wouldnt have ended up in court with unresolved issues. This compilation of court, judge, and parties involved made for a lengthy divorce process of two years. Despite these challenges I believe Debra did a good job and truly had the childrens best interests in mind. She did not sugar coat and ensured I had realistic expectations as the process moved forward. It was a frustrating process, but not due to my legal counsel. Her bedside manner is brash and salty, as was described to me, but that also helps her be effective within the system she works. I would reconnect with Debra in the future for advice and counsel if I have more legal needs in her areas of expertise.

I would NOT recommend this woman. She is all about money and not what is best for the client. That was my take anyways after the initial consultation. My sister went to her for a consult (i have four sisters) I was not allowed in the room for the $200 consultation my sister paid for and of course all my sisters questions did not get answered because no one was allowed in there with her. I was kicked out before the meeting ever began and told my presence violated attorney client privledge, not sure how that parlays into a family court matter but whatever. My sister has been a nervous wreck and as anyone going thru the shock of divorce, needed her support system and a person who could ask all the questions she forgot about. 15 minutes of the consult (about $50 is what it amounts to) was wasted on Ms Wester spewing her credentials. Sure enough on minute 60 my sister was promptly booted out of the room as Ms Wester wasn t about to go a minute over her $200/hr consult. Her retainer is $7K for family court then she bills out at $400/hr. I m sure this is necessary to pay for her plastic surgery in which her face reveals she has an addiction too. Wasn t sure if it was that or she was suffering anaphylactic shock by bee stings. My sister found her to be very uncaring and rude. She may be great in court but from all looks and appearances she isn t in it to help people it s more about the money. We decided to go with the first attorney we talked to, the one who acted like he actually had kindness and compassion in his soul.

Average at best. Somehow correspondences with the Attorney General weren t filled correctly. The Attorney General shows I still owe spousal support which was paid in full by the time the divorce was final. When I called to ask her to complete the job I already paid her to do, I was told I needed to come in and pay a $200 consultation fee. I guess someone has to pay for the billboards and glamour shots that were all over town........ Try Thomas Peterson or anyone else.

Ms Debra is straight forward and to the point. she tells you your options, lets you make your own decisions. But is not afraid to tell it like it is. She stands up for the children and that is her main focus. I highly recommend her.
