I have my wedding booked at Barr Mansion for next year and wanted to stop by the venue to take some more photos of the space, etc. Although I didnt have anyone assigned to meet with me, all the staff members I met were just so helpful and excited to talk to me about my day, answer questions and give recommendations. I was absolutely blown away by the level of service that I received by Sean and Kaden. Sean went out of his way and spent a lot of time talking with me about the ballroom reception space & food. Hannah the venue assistant was also so kind and answered all my questions. Thank you everyone! So excited!

Barr Mansion was absolutely magical. The venue was perfect for my daughter s wedding on June 15, 2024. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. But best of all, the grounds were the perfect backdrop for a late spring wedding! It was the perfect location for us.

Where to even begin with Barr Mansion and their OUTSTANDING team? Wow... 4 years ago I told my *now* husband that I loved him there and last weekend we were able to get married here! During planning, the team went above and beyond to make it a special year & weekend. They were such a pleasure to work with and there was always laughter and smiles during planning. I cannot thank Hailea, Holly, and their entire staff for making it the best weekend ever. WE LOVE YOU!

We were so excited to get married at Barr Mansion. We fell in love with the property when we toured it in September and knew it would only be even prettier in the spring for our May wedding. They have so many unique and beautiful places on the property--and we knew even if it rained on our wedding day, we would have a beautiful backdrop that didnt feel like a plan B. I also found it super special that they host various events through the year, so I could see us finding an excuse to go back in the future. We did experience a shift in the venue coordinator, but Hailea was the BEST to work with! I cant say enough good things about her! She was sharp, responsive, thoughtful and helped us craft a special menu with the chef for our wedding day! Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was and how fantastic the food and drinks were. The staff was organized and between Hailea and my wedding coordinator, I wasnt worried about a single detail the day of. My only disappointment was the cake that we did through on-site catering. Even though I confirmed on multiple occasions my vision (also simple enough), they completely missed the mark. And unfortunately, as a bride, that was one of the details I was most excited about. Hindsight, if you have a specific detail that is important to you, I would overly stress this to your venue and your coordinator.

Just went to a wedding here and it was absolutely dreamy. This venue is not overly done. The food is grown on their farm and the meal was incredibly delicious!! If I were to have a wedding, this is definitely the place I would consider. It was a perfect day and it was nice to have a walk around and admire the property and imagine what it must have been like in its prime!

Barr Mansion is a magical place and the people who work there are simply the best (especially Hollie and Hailea)! From the first time we toured the space, my husband and I were in love. The mixture of history, outdoor space and beautiful gardens were everything we didnt know we were looking for. The chef was amazing at helping to curate gluten free options for our celiac guests and create a stunning GF cake for the end of the night! Every single crazy and complicated request I made, Barr Mansion came through. And the millions of emails I sent were always addressed with patience and kindness. On the day of the wedding, everything was handled with such professionalism and precision! Thank you for making it the venue of our dreams! The bar staff, the wait staff, the furniture rentals, the mansion, the drinks, allowing us to bring in late night... literally every aspect was amazing and I am so grateful and lucky to have worked with them.

I wish I felt like we could give Barr a better review, but there were some issues that happened during our experience with them that made us feel neglected, even being their only August wedding, and with a bad taste in our mouth from a planning service standpoint. There were pros in the shuffle of the cons with our experience with Barr and since finishing our contract with them, the new General Manager did reach out and apologize for the poor experience we had. We do feel we need to share what we went through so others arent feeling shocked at the very small food tasting and can ensure they receive more organized and on point care with their account than we did. Pros: Hollie was our first initial contact with Barr and she was friendly, constantly on top of communication with us and answered our questions in a timely manner. When she did our tour, she was very informative and gave us some awesome ideas to help visualize what our wedding at Barr could look like. Hollie helped us navigate the contract and let us know that our next line of communication going forward was the event manager. Hollie was a delight! Another plus for our experience was the day of execution. Paired with our wedding planners, things went along smoothly, food tasted great and the cake was very yummy. (PS we did not get to try any of the food or cake flavors we selected until the day of). The venue itself is stunning and fit the vibe we were going for with our big day. Cons: A staffing change with the event manager during our contract was a huge issue. We didnt find out the original event manager left until a week after she was no longer with Barr. Any information we had shared with her seems like it was never saved to a file for the venue nor did anything get communicated because we had to go over everything again. At our meeting with the new event manager and our wedding planner, all information we resent seemed to have not been saved as we had to confirm and share that information all over again. This trend continued during communications past that point and I even told the new event manager how frustrating that was for us on top of other wedding stresses. The lack of organization was unacceptable and caused a very stressful experience for us. I had been in the wedding industry before and so this became extra frustrating for me. There were also some comments made that rubbed us the wrong way and made us feel like because of our budget and my anxiety with planning, that what we needed from Barr didnt matter and that our contract wasnt as important to them as other clients they had who had a bigger budget. (We spent over half our wedding budget on this venue, their catering and bar package). Another issue for us was the tasting. We were only given select dishes and cake flavors to try. Never had I seen this before and it honestly seemed wrong and stingy for the amount any couple hosting an event here was paying. We werent loving anything set in front of us and opted to blindly choose other plated meals and cake flavors for us and our guests to have for our wedding day. Thankfully, those meals and flavors were a hit but we were very nervous leading up to the wedding because we had no clue what we were serving actually tasted like because we werent given the chance to try it beforehand. All in all, I think I would advise any couple going with Barr as a venue to let Barr know what your standards are on their backend because they fell short for what we needed. I do hope they are able to get more organized with their files and couples accounts because the lack of that with ours left us feeling insignificant on a day that is supposed to be so significant to us.

The first time we toured Barr Mansion was during the winter in 2022. We definitely loved the venue and knew we wanted a fall wedding. We came back in the spring when the grounds were in bloom and we were sold. We booked our date for September 2023. Barr staff were communicative leading up to the wedding and we enjoyed working with their venue manager, Ginifer. We have heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests on the food, drinks, service, and overall beauty of the venue. The only setback was a very slight delay with dinner being served, but our guests were well fed and hydrated and we danced the night away. We are so glad to have chosen Barr Mansion as our wedding venue!

AVOID Worst wedding venue in Texas. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Barr Mansion scammed me and my wife out of $10,000. We booked during the height of the pandemic (October 2020, before the vaccine) and had to cancel due to the pandemic. At the time, legal provisions by the US Government made it illegal for us to have the number of guests (150) gather in that space. This was an unprecedented time and w had no choice but to cancel. Every other vendor (flowers, DJ, etc.) was understanding and gave us full refunds. Barr mansion was the only vendor who refused to refund our security deposit of $10,000. They had the nerve to say this even after our contract (force majeure clause) guaranteed refund AND they had directly stated in an email that we would get a refund if it was due to Covid. Read below a quote from their email: If were cancelling because the date can no longer proceed as originally booked (group size limits, stay at home orders, etc.) you get back all deposits paid per the Force Majeure clause. . . . Well, they flat out lied. We even hired a lawyer and sent a legal notice and even then Barr mansion NEVER RESPONDED. Truly the scum of the earth. Terrible business practices. We couldn t afford to sue, but you should know that you are NOT SAFE with this vendor. I would give them -10 stars if I could.

Recently attended a wedding here. Wanted to list pro/cons for future couples Pros: beautiful interior natural light with large windows. Gardens were nice. Bar staff very nice. Cons: family style portions were minimal leaving many guests without food. Extremely hot for guests waiting outside no AC after ceremony for over hour. Sound system and acoustics are horrible inside you cannot hear any of the speeches. Venue is extremely small and guests were packed inside making it very hard to maneuver through the tables to get to restrooms. Restrooms very small expect long lines. AC was also hot inside. Dining is in the same area as the ceremony and takes a lot of time to set up tables after the ceremony. Expect delays there.

We can start with the Pros: -the venue is beautiful -Per my wedding planner, all of the Barr mansion staff was great to work with day off except for the kitchen -Barr was pretty good about working with us to allow for the vendors and installs we wanted but we still paid a pretty penny for it We started to get nervous about the food when we attended the Winter Tasting. Barr only includes an all couples getting married that season tasting. There was widespread dissatisfaction after that tasting. It wasn t good. Barr said it was a new chef and then fired that chef shortly after. We were given a makeup tasting over a month later but it still left some couples dissatisfied. Ultimately we chose our wedding menu after many stressful weeks. Barr prides themselves on being a Farm to table venue that sources local foods from Texas. This is something I loved about the venue when I chose it. They boasted during our tastings that they were extremely conscious of allergies/ different food lifestyles. Even saying they ve hosted completely vegan weddings in the past. Barr was sent a list of guests allergy restrictions and event timeline well in advance and we still had very prominent issues. Fast forward to the wedding day, our ceremony was wonderful and cocktail hour ran smoothly. Our wedding layout was to have a family style meal in the iconic ballroom and transition to their farmhouse pavilion after dinner for the band/dancing. This is where everything went wrong. Guests promptly sat down per the timeline. Dinner began with the salad/bread and everything was going okay. We were fed a sample plate of all the dishes we had chosen which was a nice touch. Dinner took longer than expected to come out and when it finally did everyone ate and seemed happy. Then we continued to sit and sit and still sit. The quartet we hired to play for the 2 hours of dinner finished playing, packed up and left and we still sat in the dinner space with no music. My planner finally came over and informed us that we could not transition out of dinner into the reception because the kitchen had not fed the band yet. The timeline clearly stated that the band had to be fed at 8:30. (The band was not fed until past 10pm) We sat for 1hr+ past our timeline transition waiting on the kitchen to feed the band. Our band attempted to make up lost time by skipping all scheduled breaks but we still missed out on time. Having multiple vendors sitting in that room with no guests for over an hour of time we paid for was infuriating. We had a photo booth, espresso martini/coffee full bar, & sketch artist, all waiting in the other room and couldnt get that time back. It really bothered me that the kitchen wasn t able to feed our band remotely on time for the event to run smoothly but what really bothered me was finding out at the end of the night that the kitchen NEVER fed our allergy guests their special meals. We had guests attend our wedding who weren t fed at all. Our planner asked and reminded the kitchen multiple times and kept asking about all of the missing meals for not only the allergy guests but also the band. After the band was finally fed and it got closer to midnight and the special allergy meals still hadn t been fed, the kitchen informed our planner that it was impossible for the kitchen to complete the meals even though they had the list of allergies for weeks and had all the time in the world to prepare. It still makes me sick to my stomach to think of our guests who never were fed and went without food. So horrifying for a bride who planned for years to make the day absolutely perfect for everyone and the venue just didn t feed people. After sending a debrief the day after and after multiple email follow ups and reaching out to the venue for any kind of explanation they have chosen to completely ignore us and give no answers. I find it pretty horrifying that they could not feed guests at a wedding where they require us to use their kitchen and then ignore us when we seek answers.

The owners tried to say that confused them with a regular bar. I most definitely did not. Their negligence ruined my sister s wedding, which was burglarized. The venue had other break-ins in recent history leading to my sister s wedding which they did not disclose to us. The owners took no responsibility for the tens of thousands of dollars of loss. No integrity or moral business sense.

My fiancée and I found them to be discriminating to her religion. They denied further communication and any contract with us service because we asked questions about not wanting to serve alcohol at our wedding. It s kind of sad and erratic of them to say they want to work with us then deny us when we inquired about beverage service fees without alcohol at a potential wedding. Unfortunately, religious discrimination still exists and it s sad to see it at a place where people unite and commit to each other. I hope to only warn future couples serious about practicing their religious beliefs about working with this location.

I am a little late in posting this review because I do not like to give negative reviews. However, having now hosted two weddings one year apart, I can give an honest review here, and I think it is important for future brides to have good information before booking a venue for their dream day. My youngest daughter got married at Barr Mansion in 2021. The setting was beautiful and the wedding was fun, but I was very disappointed with the execution of the evening. We were promised things that were not delivered. The coordinator, Margaret, was MIA most of the time. We constantly had to look for her when questions or needs arose. She was a hot mess to say the least. She did not give good directions to the wedding party, she did not keep things moving on time, and she was generally not helpful. The florist we chose, Earl Grey Floral, was incredible! I cannot say enough good things about them. They were professional, creative, and attentive. They made the most beautiful arrangements and bouquets. The colors really popped! They offered creative ways to save money without compromising extravagance. Since they had worked at Barr Mansion for other events, they were more helpful to us when we had questions and couldn t find Margaret. Sad. But we were grateful for Earl Grey Florals. I highly recommend them for your wedding or event! The food was delicious, BUT the portions were TINY. Our guests and wedding party were hitting the fast food restaurants that were open at midnight because they were so hungry. That was embarrassing. We were promised two bars, HOWEVER instead, we were given two bartenders. ONLY TWO BARTENDERS. Needless to say, the lines for drinks were very long. The band was Hot Sauce ATX. They were amazing!!! But even they were frustrated with Margaret. They literally played dinner music for almost two hours because the bride and groom were caught by guests who wanted to visit with them. That happens. It s natural and it s nice, but the job of the coordinator is to keep things moving. We were supposed to have cake cutting, toasts, and the first dance around 7pm. I was still looking for Margaret at 8pm to get this going. Instead, I had to step in and steal the bride and groom away from guests. It was awkward and uncomfortable. I felt like I was being rude. It was not my job to do. Margaret put me in a position I shouldn t have been in. So, I m going to end it here. If Margaret is still on staff at Barr Mansion, choose another coordinator OR choose another venue entirely. If your heart is set on using Barr Mansion, I suggest having a sincere meeting and being very clear with them about your expectations. For the price you are paying, you deserve to get what you are promised. The reason I chose to go ahead and write this review at this time is because my oldest daughter got married at a very similar venue in Nashville, Tennessee in July. That venue handled everything with style and grace. We received everything we were promised. It was truly a magical experience and I was able to enjoy every minute of the evening. Now that I ve seen it done right, I can say Barr Mansion did it all wrong. This concludes my very first negative review. And now I feel crummy all over again. But it needed to be said.

First the positive, our planner Caryn did a wonderful job helping us through the process. Unfortunately she has left for a better job. Cocktails were good. She has not control of the kitchen. The lawn ceremony was well set up and looked beautiful. Cocktail hour in the farmstead in hot weather is NOT good. Fans are weak and your food does not hold up. Food was weak and not as was explained and not plentiful. The reception area is organic looking and once decorated looks much better. I would not suggest more then 125 guest or the space will be too crowed and youll have a small dance floor. If you choose a buffet as we did, very poorly executed and NOT attractively set up, Very disappointed. Not a decoration, greenery or attractive table coverings for the buffet tables. Another thing, the food we chose at the tasting, the way it was prepared was NOT the way it was served at the wedding. They switched out the type of pasta that we chose and did not prepare it like we tasted it. The same with the lentil salad and the bread, not as we tasted it. The salad that we asked to be plated and served at the table was pitiful, Barr Mansion should be embarrassed , after all they are an Organic facility, the produce should have been beautiful! If you order pizza make sure your guests are aware that its there and not cold. I know things can and have been difficult during these last few years due to Covid, but, their staff should have been neat and tidy and not wearing dirty clothing, I was appalled. Smile people, and make the weddings you are working at not seem like a funeral. Barr Mansion is not on their game!

Upon arriving the manager helped us to get parked close by the area we needed to be. She even got a bowl of water and a chair for us to sit and wait until time. So pleased they are dog friendly and was allowed inside for the air conditioning. Chandler knew he was there for a reason and he did his part in style and with lots of love from many that knew him from his younger days growing up right by Dustin s side for 15 years. Today was no different and Barr Mansion helped by being very accommodating with this wonderful wedding. Great place and wonderful memories forever

Getting married at Barr Mansion was an incredible experience from start to finish. The wedding would not have been what it was without the help of Molly, who guided us through the entire wedding planning process, helped us put together an all-star lineup of vendors, and made sure that our wedding was truly the wedding of our dreams. She went above and beyond to ensure everything exceeded our expectations, putting immense thought and care into the days leading up to the wedding and the wedding itself. Barr Mansion itself is a gorgeous venue if you are looking for something upscale yet rustic. Also, it is a bonus that it is a zero-waste facility and is constantly working towards becoming a more sustainable venue. We also have to give a massive thank you to Chef Nicholas and Pastry Chef Sarah. The food was outstanding! Our guests are still raving about the food and how delicious everything was. Every dish was unique, tasty, and filling. The late-night pizza, served fresh from the brick oven, was also some of the best we have ever had. The team at Barr did a phenomenal job. I want to especially thank Hollie for always answering questions quickly and making me and my family feel so special, Debbie for creating incredible cocktails, and Bella and Claudia, who both offered extra day-of support that was positively flawless.

We were so happy we chose Barr Mansion for our wedding. We used Barr s standard coordinator package which included prep meetings, availability to answer my questions along the way, and rehearsal and day-of coordination. It was perfect for someone who is a planner and organized but needs someone who knows all the questions to ask to get all the details right. Our coordinator Keena was fantastic and kept everything in order and on time on the day. All our guests loved the food and drinks and I loved how flexible Barr was with helping us provide an option for guests with specific dietary/allergy needs. We also chose Barr because it minimized the total number of vendors we had to coordinate. Our coordinator, food, cake, alcohol, catering & bartending, etc. were all provided through Barr and made my life so much easier. We even used some of Barr s rentals as well. If you are getting married in Austin, definitely check out Barr Mansion!

We cannot be more grateful to Molly, our coordinator, and the staff at Barr Mansion for making our Covid wedding last July, and the year-later reception on July 9, 2021, a rousing success. Last year, despite the fact that we only had ten people in attendance, we were made to feel like the most important family in Austin, and this year, despite a rainy day, Molly managed to remember every detail, have everything in place, and coordinate the entire day from arrival to departure. She never got flustered, never became frustrated, and always had an answer for whatever happened. She laughed with us, and it seemed as if she enjoyed the reception as much as we did. Our guests loved, loved the food that was served. From the bacon wrapped dates and gazpacho soups to the beef tenderloin and chicken to the spiced carrots to the bread, we had perfection; and when the cake and macaroons were served, we thought we had died and gone to heaven. I have to say, I have never really been a fan of macaroons, but I could not get enough of them on Friday night. Light, deliciously sweet - I could have eaten 100! Until we had to cancel last years reception, we did not understand the value of having most of the services for the wedding come from one place. Not having to deal with a caterer and a cake baker made our lives much easier when we were re-booking the reception. We managed to use the same flower person and photographer, so we just rebooked them, and Molly took care of everything else. I highly encourage brides to seriously consider Barr Mansion. I dont know if Molly is the only wedding coordinator, but we could not have had a better person to help us. Her outstanding command of the venue, the services, and our reception made her an invaluable asset. In hindsight, the price of using Barr Mansion was extremely reasonable - we received much more than we paid for!!!Despite Covid-19, Barr Mansion created a wonderful experience for our daughter, her new husband, and the eight of us in attendance. I cannot say enough for how great the staff was at enforcing the states restrictions while still making the wedding beautiful and as comfortable as we could be, even in 98 degree heat. We highly recommend Barr Mansion and are looking forward to returning next year for the reception.

Attended a wedding in June. Beautiful location, very poorly managed. Absolutely no accommodation available to people in wheelchairs or walking with canes. Very difficult to maneuver over gravel and uneven flagstones. Staff were asked if there was an easier access to the location, and were told there was not. However, in fact there was a closer parking location but it was not available when arriving and was only offered when guests were leaving. Servers poorly trained: servers failed to return to certain tables to offer additional food, which was sitting in the kitchen, even though there was not enough food provided to tables with several adult males. There are several buildings on site, but no indication where guests should walk to get to the venue. Very disappointed.

I am so glad my husband and I chose Barr Mansion as our wedding venue! The place is beautiful, food was great (even the pickier family members enjoyed the food!), and our event coordinator Molly was excellent! She helped us stay organized, went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was addressed, and made sure that we all stayed calm and collected from start to finish. She has great insight and was able to resolve little hiccups before they became a problem. I highly recommend Barr Mansion as your venue and Molly as your coordinator!

We came on a Wednesday for the food and live music. It was packed! It was a great idea to hold this outdoor event, but I dont think they anticipated the number of people attending. You had to wait in long lines for drinks and food and then they ran out. We literally had to wait for them to make more pizza dough. The place itself is nice and historic and the grounds are big enough to lay out a blanket or chair and relax. Overall lots of potential.

For the a Wednesday picnic they ran out of Food by 7 PM and advertised as open from 5-9 PM . Plus they posted all over social media $1 oysters and the oysters were $4 . I blame bar mansion marketing for false advertising. My recommendation would be to sell tickets for $5 to limit capacity and know exactly how many mouths your feeding. Can only imagine how unorganized they would be as a wedding venue

An absolute dream! We looked at multiple venues in the Austin area prior to choosing Barr for our wedding and so glad we did as they exceeded all expectations. Margaret, our coordinator, was wonderful to work with and was very responsive and detail oriented. She kept everyone on schedule and felt like she had my back during the entire day to ensure everything ran seamlessly. We paid for the upgraded coordinator package and looking back was really happy with our decision as they took over communication with all eight of our vendors a month prior to the big day and alleviated so much extra stress and coordination details about timing, set up location, etc. We had our ceremony on the lawn, dinner in the Farmstead, and our band did a parade with our guests to the glass ballroom where we danced the night away. The grounds are kept beautifully and the staff was very professional. Our guests could not have been happier and am still getting texts and phone calls about how great everything was.10/10 recommend!

Cool wedding venue with a rustic charm and indoor/outdoor offerings. The large yard is great for weddings under an enormous oak tree. Ivy lines most of the structures making everything seem perfectly balanced with its natural area. The indoor reception areas are smaller than the photos on the website make them seem, but they are still lovely areas that will make any couple happy. The food is solid and generously portioned. Overall a good spot for a wedding.

No lie, we searched nearly every venue in Austin (and surrounding area) but once we saw Barr Mansion, we knew wed found our location. Planning was easy and fun with Barr. The staff is great. The venue has SO MANY options to make your day perfect. Our guests told us all night how it was the most beautiful wedding venue. It didnt feel like the thing you tell the couple... they went out of their way to compliment Barr (venue vibes and food). On our actual wedding day, everything went off flawlessly. Getting married under the tree was magical, the food was delicious, and service provided was beyond anything we could have expected. Golden hour. Am I right?! I would highly highly recommend Barr Mansion. 10/10.

We just got married here last night. I really cant express how happy I am with everything the staff did for us. My wife was so exstatic with everything. She was stressed with everything and worried but from the minute she arrived it was alleviated. All smiles. The venue is gorgeous. The food.....let me tell you....amazing. The staff were just absolutely on top of everything. Molly, our coordinator, was just so unbelievably awesome. I have been to many many marriages while I was in the military and out and Molly blows any one Ive ever seen out of the water. If you want to get hitched at a beutiful venue with staff that will take all the stress off of your shoulders then do yourself a favor. Get married here. The most important thing about getting married is that your wife is smiles from ear to ear from start to finish. Kaitlyn was breathtaking and glowing and, although, she is stunning all the time, that smile couldnt have been bigger and I owe that to Barr Mansion, Molly, and the staff! Get married here! P.S. Perry Photography are equally as amazing! Wonderful couple who do amazing work with ease

I booked Barr mansion for my wedding end of July. We also paid for the upgraded coordinator package. My husband and I loved the look of the venue and the initial wedding planner we had. We choose to pay the extra hundreds of dollars because we truly trusted and loved our wedding planner, less than a month before the wedding she was fired by the venue and we were appointed a new coordinator. The venue never apologized for this abrupt switch and the new coordinator would go up to 4 days without responding and we had to go over all the same information we already went over a second time. The long wait for responses happened multiple times throughout that last month which left us frustrated and trying to answer questions on our own. On the actual wedding day the venue and planner did good working with me and making the day go smooth. Another huge problem we had with the venue is they do not give any leftovers. We paid over $100 for each plate and due to covid about half of our guests did not show up and we never were offered the leftover food even though we paid for it. Our wedding cake was also the completely wrong design. Being incredibly upset over the situation I called the owner and she offered us a half refund on the cake and said she would look over our invoice and she what else she could do. For a couple weeks we played phone tag and she ended up never calling me back. The venue also cashed our check and we never got the partial refund on the cake we agreed on. Overall this venue is gorgeous but the management will overcharge you and not care if you get what you paid for or not.

From the minute we walked onto the beautiful grounds of Barr Mansion during our first site visit, we knew that we had found our dream wedding venue. Barr Mansion is made up of everything that Austin has to offer: endless beauty, wonder, romance, and rustic charm. The venue consists of an 18th century artisan ballroom, a farmstead hewn with Texas timber, a vintage Victorian mansion, and 29,000 sq ft of gorgeous greenery. Fun fact: Barr Mansion is the first USDA certified organic farm-to-table event space in the country. You guessed it, its heaven on earth! Becki, our sales manager at Barr Mansion was so warm, accommodating, and welcoming during the initial planning phases of our wedding. As a same sex couple, we were a little apprehensive with how wedding venues would receive us. However, Becki and team welcomed us (without an ounce of hesitation) with nothing but love, excitement, and open arms! Becki introduced us to Cori, their wedding coordination manager, and we hit it off instantly. Cori is as wonderful, charismatic, and authentic as they come. She is genuinely so enthusiastic with helping you plan the wedding of your dreams! When it comes to the MANY stressors of planning a wedding, Cori brings a calm and confident presence that is absolutely vital to have on your team. Cori is well organized, takes great pride in her profession, and is incredibly gifted in her craft. During our first meeting, Cori asked us what our ideal wedding would look like. We told her what we had envisioned and she was critical with helping us plan and bring our thoughts and ideas to life. Our wedding on 2.2.2020 was everything we could have imagined and more!!! It was pure MAGIC! From the amazing weather, gorgeous grounds, the breathtaking decor and beautiful flowers, we were simply captivated by how incredibly perfect it all turned out! During our wedding, I had to pinch myself and ask if I was in a dream! It felt like a real life fairy tale and we were all floating in the clouds. And the food! Executive chef Jessie and team knocked it out of the ballpark with our menu, and our guests could not stop talking about how delicious everything was. That spiced apple cake and tres leches desserts, WOW! From our coordinator Cori, to the chef/kitchen, to the servers, to the bartenders, to even the security team, the service during our entire wedding was OUTSTANDING. We would recommend Barr Mansion over and over again!! Our only regret is that we can not get married at Barr Mansion over and over again. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU Barr Mansion for making TWO BRIDES wedding dreams come true!!! XO

I require a gluten free diet and they were beyond amazing in making sure everything was safe - even our wedding cake (it went so quickly the waiters could hardly bring out the plates fast enough!). The cherry on top was working with Cori as our coordinator. She is professional and knows her stuff. We trusted her completely and she went above and beyond to make everything go off without a hitch (if there was a hitch we werent aware). She also recommended the most phenomenal vendors. Beautiful venue delicious food but not worth the money. Why? Ask the coordinator... Where do I start. She is scattered and seamed to be running around not knowing what to do next. At one point she was frantically looking for the groom and ran right passed him. And the attitude should be talked about as the groom, the mother of the groom, the bride and others who had interactions with her stated they did not like her. Shes standoffish and has no regard for others. She doesnt know how to put herself in the brides shoes and does what she thinks she would like during the wedding and for decorating even though a decorator was hired separately and was on site. Which tells me she didnt take time to get to know the bride, the bride is not simple, but eclectic. Many people of the wedding party including parents were not pleased. She also forgot both party favors which were a very important part to the bride and groom even though she was asked twice if she could be helped with them. Both times she said no and to put them on the floor... Where they stayed. The assistant planner on the other hand needs a raise or promotion she was calm collected and very sweet. Everyone loved her and in the end shes the only one we wanted to deal with. Communication needs serious work wont be recommending to our future brides.
