Spacious and CLEAN room. Outfitted well, wifi works great, bed was very comfortable. AC goes down to 65, a very welcomed surprise! Front desk was very helpful and kind. Great location, so many good spots within a short walk. Excellent eatery options with a spa as well.

I am Writing this review about The Lobby Bar, I am so upset because its a beautiful spot and I stay at The Hotel a lot the guys that use to work there were always so nice and friendly no matter how busy they were they always found time to speak to you.... Now wow what a hug difference Its sad going there everyone is so up tight specially the girl with the fake red hair she said she is the manager she is so nasty not friendly at all and the same drink that use to be $17 is now $24 0r $28 or $22 what ever they feel like charging at the moment that is price gouging on steroids, and they are always closing much early then then have to. I gave it 3 different times and each time it was the exact same experience so therefore I will no longer go to the The Lobby Bar and its a shame because I stay at that hotel a lot. Rooms: I love the Rooms they are always clean and comfortable. Safety: They have plenty of professional security guards around the property. Walkability: Great location Food and drinks: Corner Restaurant The food is great, all the staff is fun and friendly and they do not price gouge.

All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and quick. Available room found prior to check-in time. Girma took care of my luggage before my departure flight and was quick to retrieve it. Enjoyed the stay! Rooms: Rooms large and clean. View of river was nice. Safety: Several homeless within the area of hotel sleeping on benches or laying in doorways however none on the property. Felt relatively safe regardless of time I was out walking. Walkability: Able to walk to dinner both nights and Orange Theory to work out - very walkable location. Food and drinks: Love that there was a full Starbucks in hotel. I was there for a conference and the food provided during lunches were very good.

Very nice Marriott property with an excellent dining option available in Deans Italian Steakhouse. Iqra did an excellent job expediting our check-in process and the hotel concierge was very accommodating in arranging a late checkout due to a change in travel plans. Rooms are nice, but I have been to other JW Marriott that were nicer. There was no mini fridge in the rooms and there was only ice on floor 5. Both are inconvenient. Restaurants and bar are expensive (of course). It was quiet in the room.

My Fiancé and I love this location. We have stayed here two or three times now and will surely return. Our rooms have always been clean and the staff has always been very accommodating. Vishal made this stay extra special with the birthday card and wine surprise. We came here to finish out our birthday weekend June 9-10th. We love the pool area and executive lounge. It s a great plus when we stay here.

Very few hotels match the quality, experience and service of the JW Marriott in Austin. One of my favorite places to stay when in Austin for business. A great hotel - through and through. The location was ideal. The property was great with plenty of options for dining right on the premises. The rooftop pool and bar were also top notch. I also want to give a shoutout to Rigo at the valet and entryway. He was so helpful and informative (a pseudo concierge with a wealth of info). Highly recommend staying here if you plan a visit to Austin. Rooms: Very clean and spacious and nice rooms. My only wish is a firmer pillow. Give me a feather pillow and a former pillow as well. Walkability: Great location. Close enough to everything you need to access or hit while in Austin.

This was the second time I stayed at the Austin JW. The fact that I chose the property over the Fairmont speaks volumes. The deciding factor (in addition to the rooftop pool) was the PEOPLE! The JW simply boasts the best employees! José, at check in, was incredibly welcoming and went out of his way to guarantee both a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We loved our stay at the JW Marriott downtown Austin! Our room was beautiful and clean and had a great view of the river. Part of the reason we picked this hotel is that it feels so central to the city. Could easily walk to the capital, 6th street and south Congress. The pool was big for a rooftop pool downtown and had delicious drinks- I highly recommend the mule! Came to celebrate my birthday and felt especially special by front desk clerk, Steven. He had a bottle of wine and chocolates sent to the room with a very kind note. We also tried out the rooftop (on the 5th floor) bar which had delicious drinks and a wonderful romantic and chill atmosphere. Enjoyed the executive lounge for snacks and a delicious breakfast in the morning. One of our favorite hotels in Austin and looking forward to staying here again!

I appreciated JW Marriott Austin for the warm greeting and special gifts on my birthday. The staff goes above and beyond for their guests. The hotel is beautiful and has a Starbucks on the second floor. The rooms (although still have a bit of new construction smell) was modern, chic and a beautiful view of Austin. I wish I couldve stayed longer. Also, the shower pressure is the best of any hotel Ive stayed in! If you are a platinum or above member, you get access to executive lounge and $25 dining credit. The only negative thing I would say is the internet is spotty sometimes. However, I would stay here again!

Previously was telling us it s incidental charge which will be reverted. Be careful! Room service was bad as well, the house keeper put our pillow on the ground when we got back to the hotel. Location couldnt be better. This JW is a big business/convention hotel that doesnt feel like it. The staff all around were genuinely friendly and interested in the guests. Their ability to create a personal experience while seamlessly servicing large groups was impressive. Marriott hospitality always feels genuine to me. Professional beyond doubt, there is always someone available to assist no matter where or what. And of course the rooms are comfy, stylish and elegant in a casual way. Its like the opposite of Ritz Carlton, where everyone seems to go by a script. Anyway, congrats, great property. Unfortunately during our stay we experienced multiple occasions of very poor service. Had to fight for services we paid for, management wasn t overly helpful and nice, we couldn t get stuff to our room for hours. I had to call three times and wait for three hours for them to bring few bottles of water to our room. Just really bad overall. The pool area was trashy , not what we expected from JW Marriott. Very disappointing g location. The hotel is more 3 stars rather. Compare with other locations especially one in Dallas.

We had very bad experience at this location. We stayed for 4 nights. On the second day, we found the house keep put our pillows on the floor and left the trash uncleaned. When we called the concierge to request for clean pillows, the gentleman said: I don t know what happened, what kind of pillows you want. We said the standard pillows. He said: I don t know what pillows in your room. It s quite shocking the customer service people are so rude.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this hotel. The service was perfection. Every staff member went above & beyond for my stay and my colleagues stay. Their pool deck was the perfect way to cool off in the Texas heat. Location was central to everything. My only negative would be the pillows. Again the hybrid pillows just dont have enough fluff to my liking but other than that which isnt a big deal, this hotel rocks! Whenever I come back to Austin, this hotel will be my forever go to!! Walkability: So much to do around the hotel, only within a quick 2-7 minute walk.

The only reason for the lower rating is that the room smelled strongly like urine when you walked through the door and there was no fridge as advertised. We had an incredible weekend at JW Marriott. The spa was a perfect escape, offering relaxing treatments in a serene environment. Dining at The Corner restaurant was a treat the food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. A phenomenal stay from start to finish. JW ATX is in the heart of the city, a short walk to 6th, south congress, or lady bird lake. Miss MA at the front desk was fantastic handling multiple rooms for my group. The rooftop pool has a beautiful view and even better service. Miss Carolina was exceptional, and a special thank you to their pool bar/restaurant general manager Miss Andy for taking the time to set us up. JW Austin has a multiple dining options in house, but none better than Dean s Italian steakhouse. Our server Tim was top notch. A professional through and through. He guided us perfectly through our evening. Some of the best steaks we have ever had! Throughout our stay, if any questions arose the front office staff was prompt and on point. A miss Vesna made sure any concern was addressed in the moment. Mr. Vishal & Lindani walked us to and from every location to ensure our satisfaction. The young ladies there overnight, Leila & Raven handled a busy lobby with composure & grace and took time to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Just spent a long weekend in Austin for our daughter s college graduation and our stay here was wonderful and everyone was so welcoming. Check in was great and we received a food voucher for celebrating. The room was perfect and when I needed anything it was very quickly provided. Yaman provided excellent service when valet parking or needing bellman services. We loved The Corner for brunch so much Saturday we went back Sunday and asked to sit with Braxtin again. The amenities of the hotel are great but the staff are your biggest asset! We will definitely stay again when in the area. I admit I am a Marriott w*ore....I sometimes make up reasons just to stay at one of their hotels....this particular location is walking distance to so many things in downtown Austin, especially the nightlife. Loads of choices if you dont want to drive, be sure to try a pedicab if you havent yet. Several onsite restaurants, and room service us the concierge lounge for those who are eligible (why, yes...yes I am, thank you for asking, LOL!). Well-maintained, well-organized, eat-off-the-floor clean, pool, gym, lobby lounge, staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. This was my first time at this location, and I will be back....soon!

We were day today for something unrelated to the hotel. However we were right in front of the hotel. The hotel security came out and was kind curious and professional. Most security guards at any other place are always on the power and ego trip. This gentleman came out twice to greet everybody and offered us cold water in the brutal Texas heat. Rooms were clean, quiet, I really enjoyed the pool which had a very efficient staff. You can order drinks poolside. I was here on Saturday afternoon, and the pool was not very packed, which was nice. Pool is also family-friendly. There were a few families, and my daughter enjoyed playing in the pool. Starbucks is on the second floor. We ate at the corner restaurant, and there are a few other options for meals throughout the hotel. It was a fun stay and will come back for a longer stay soon.

I want to commend the staff at the JW Marriot in downtown Austin for their superb service during my stay. In particular, I want to extend thanks to Abigail Bush for helping me navigate some challenging situations. She went above and beyond to accommodate me and my needs. The rooms were meticulously cleaned upon arrival. The pool had a really fun vibe to it throughout the day, and was suitable for some post-work relaxation. I enjoyed the variety of options at the gym. The views were pleasant but I really want to highlight the restaurants. I can t say enough about the Corner, the steakhouse, and the burger grill. If you dine at the Corner, treat yourself to some skillet cornbread (it s better than mommas cooking but you don t have to tell her) and the chipotle salmon! Seriously one of the best dishes I ve had while traveling. I also enjoyed the flatiron steak with Gorgonzola crust, and hot stone wagyu steak strips at the steakhouse. They have an Italian inspired chimichuri sauce I d recommend giving a try. It has a unique flavor palette and something you ll want to try while you are there! Lastly, the burger joint is incredibly convenient when you get those late night munchies. Overall I highly recommend this venue for anyone considering a stay in Austin, or better yet hosting a conference in the city!

I love staying at the JW but this time around was exceptional. We were received by Tanishka who provided an excellent check in. We were upgraded to a higher and allowed late checkout. Many properties miss on acknowledging Bonvoy status but not here. Tanishka even treat me to a wonderful birthday gift in my room! Amenities and restaurants are incredible. The JW Marriott Austin is what all JW Marriotts should aspire to be. The lobby has booming ceilings, wood-veneered paneling, a vibrant bar, two highly rated restaurants, lavish bathrooms, an extremely responsive staff, and an inviting scent that all come together to set the tone for a great experience. Ideally located at the corner of Second and Congress, it is highly walkable to the convention center, Sixth Street, businesses, and many great restaurants. The onsite convention center is typically busy, but the Starbucks on the second floor is a quick way to start your day. The gym and pool (located on the roof of the lobby) include an outdoor bar and is a relaxing place to visit. The rooms follow the tone set by the lobby: clean and fresh, with good water pressure, marble counters, well-lit, and, depending on your floor and location, great views of the Austin area. Valet parking only, but they do a good job. Rooms will not have a refrigerator, but they do have room safes. You can also self-park across the street (not affiliated) if you prefer to manage your own car. This is a great hotel to treat yourself to without kids; if you have kids with you, they will love the pool.

One of the best hotel stay/experience I have ever had. Rooms: My room was on the 26th floor and the view was spectacular! Room and bathroom were spotless, no smells, everything worked. In my opinion, bathroom was exceptional. Bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. Large closet space, including shelves and a safe.
