I only recently discovered this place even though I ve been to Meanwhile nearby many times. The interior is beautiful with lots of varied seating for anything from couples to larger groups. There s also plenty of outside property with little chairs underneath trees and soft lighting for a relaxed evening visit. I really really enjoyed the drinks and felt they offered some unique options to choose from. I would definitely highly recommend checking this place out to anyone who enjoys quality cocktails. My only qualm with my experience was the way they handled communicating to me that I had reached my drink limit for the evening. I had bought my friend a drink and so she offered to purchase one for me. We walked up to the bar and the bar tender abruptly tells me we don t feel comfortable serving you any more alcohol tonight. I absolutely applaud their commitment to safety and appreciate that they had my best interest in mind. However to tell me that in front of friends (and coworkers for that matter) instead of taking me aside to inform me was extremely embarrassing. I would personally recommend that this very important policy is executed in a more tactful way for other customers in the future.

We did the tour and it was excellent if you appreciate how good bourbon and whiskey is made. We enjoyed the tasting, but it was limited to two bourbon shots. We were encouraged to purchase cocktails after the tour and they were very good with a more generous pour than the tasting, so well worth it for top shelf bourbon. We were disappointed we couldnt purchase bourbon bottles yet. They are two weeks away from being able to sell to the public (around May 5, 2024) for $49 a bottle (like I said, this is quality bourbon!) I liked the tour of the Kentucky style Rickhouse where they store and age the bourbon barrels (see pics)

Really great place. First time I came here my best mate was just married and I took the couple to a whiskey tasting a couple days later. Collin was extremely gracious and attentive both on the tour and in the speakeasy-tasting room. Drinks were phenomenal. Honestly I ve lost count how many times I ve visited afterwards within the last year. Ben the manager is also incredible! Overall both (and the rest of the staff) are incredibly charismatic, respectful, and genuine. Definitely one of my favorite places as a new Austinite.

I had my birthday party here last night and I can not believe how perfect it was. Ben was the NICEST bartender Ive every met. All 20 something of my guest couldnt stop talking about how awesome the cocktails were (the buttered rum was a crowd favorite 10/10). I found this place by accident while follow the food truck Texsueno (also amazing) and now its one of my favorite spot. During the day, it has an incredible vista as well. I am only sorry that I didnt get to participate in the trivia night. Thanks Ben! We will be back!

Fierce Whiskers was one of the best parts of our recent Austin trip. We did the distillery tour, which was awesome as we saw the full process and barrels being aged. The interior of the actual tasting room area is large and nicely decorated, with a large outdoor space and onsite food trucks. They anticipated needs, were on the spot with suggestions, and preemptively made drinks for each other to quickly get orders out. Complex, aromatic gin; heavenly bourbon and rye; a variety of delicious cocktails to satisfy any palate. Finally....ugh it seems like Ive been waiting for a place like this to open in Austin for YEARS. What an absolute joy it was just being on-site. Beautifully maintained grounds, truly a hidden gem right in the middle of icky warehouses. Lovely, crisp and inviting interior space. Comfortable seating, a large bar in a tastefully appointed room. Bar Staff were very charming and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. Had a few mixed drinks.. Mule (delicious) Whiskey sour with rye. Bit too sweet, but lovely lemon flavor. Texas martini. Stopping on a whim while traveling from Louisiana to Fredericksburg, Fierce Whiskers was a great place to take a travel break. This new building has a large gathering area with modern furnishing, plenty of comfy seats, and blessedly cool air conditioning (it is texas after all). Outside offers covered seating, shade trees with benches, and two food trucks with Asian and Mexican menus. Full bar inside with specialty cocktails and of course bourbon tasting. Collin , who seems to genuinely love his job, gave us a fun tour of the distillery right behind the bar as well as the adjacent Rick house. Kudos to Fierce Whiskers! Love the story, love the bourbon, love the people.

Hit up Fierce Whiskers for Fathers Day. They have a beautiful space and 6 hole disc golf course. They are still very young and the whiskey and rye does need a bit more time but they have clearly invested their time and money wisely! The tour was great, our guide was a blast. The cocktails are great too. I grabbed a sazerac and the hubs got the Cherry sour. Staff was amazing and hospitable. They have discs at the bar or you can bring you own. Just remember folks it s a distillery first with disc golf course. This is a great spot to bring the kiddos too as they have plenty of space to explore. Food trucks look great but didn t have a chance to check em out. Truly the Perfect spot to bring the whole fam on a Sunday. I m excited to come back and see how the aging process of their spirits turns out.

The place is great! They have a fun inside and outside. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. The drinks are incredibly tasty. The only, and I mean my only complaint is the 14 minutes to wait in line for a drink. Only two bartenders and they are chatting up the people in line. What a cool place. We were greeted as we walked in and the drinks were very good. We had Old Fashions and the large square ice cube and the initials FW in the ice. There was live music outside by one performer and the grounds are very relaxing to just sit and look at the scenery. We expected to see some Whiskey samplers but I think that is only available on the tour. Bartenders are very knowledgeable but I asked for my Old Fashion to be Smoked and they dont offer that yet.

i visited fierce whiskers for the first time for their cinco de mayo event. wow, this place exceeded all my expectations. its literally a minute away from meanwhile and i didnt know about it until recently. the vibe is so chill compared to meanwhile. the bar space inside is small but tastefully decorated. the outside has SO much space and beautiful trees. also, theres no chaotic children running around. its a great place for adults who just want a relaxing time. the old fashioned and cinco drinks were all outstanding. even the maraschino cherries were delicious. you can tell the bartenders are passionate about their craft. theres a mexican food truck (texsueño) and asian food truck (otoshi) on-site. i prefer otoshi but they are both great options. in a way, im kinda glad not many people know about this place. it feels very special. it feels very austin. i cant wait for my next visit.

WHAT A GEM! I live about 10 min away from here and there really is not much around at all so finding this was a treat! We went on Wednesday night which happens to be trivia night, we will def come back and plan to play next time! The outdoor area is HUGE and the two food trucks are both 10/10. Absolutely one of my favorites, my go-to, and a place I think I am a regular of at this point. Great cocktails that change with the seasons, an amazing and beautiful location, the food truck (hrs spotty) is amazing, and its a great hidden gem in Austin. Their bottles arent available to purchase yet, except on special occasion, but definitely worth the trip for the drinks. The bartenders are all pros, so ask for their favorites if you are unsure!

This place is so cute and spacious. Amazing food that is flavored to perfection. There are disc golf baskets in the yard so bring your discs to play. Theres also 3 yummy non-alcoholic drinks on the menu worth trying. Come catch a tour and admire the hard work of Austins young entrepreneurs.

Perfect fall day at Whiskers, and almost had the place to ourselves which was a special treat! The rye and the bourbon were good and their fall cocktails were a hit. Dog friendly, friendly staff, and food truck on site clinched the 5/5 for us. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Disc golf. Im giving them 5 stars for their effort, but the course is not worthy of 5 stars. Honestly, its not really meant to be. I think its really awesome that they set up a 6 hole course, and dont charge to play. I walked inside with my bag and was going to get some whiskey before I started my round, but I felt out of place. Its a little too fancy to walk in with your bag and grab a drink. Anyways, the course is short but laid out pretty good. T pads are marked with a flag and rope in the grass. Baskets have the same color flag as the t pad, to avoid confusion. There are signs out front with a QR code to download the course map. I have a friend visiting Austin in a couple weeks, Ill take him here for whiskey and a practice round before taking him to Met Center which is right down the road from here. There is a food truck along the edge of the course which I thought was more up my alley, but I didnt look at their menu. It may not be a great course but its a fun place to practice and grab a drink with some friends if youre dressed just a tad bit nicer than normal, or you just dgaf

Props to Miles on the flight background information and cocktail recommendation. Fierce Whiskers is one to visit now AND each year to come as they continue to age their delicious products on site in a state of the art rickhouse. We were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff, enjoyed our drinks in the well appointed indoor area, and topped it off with the on-site food from CHAR ATX. Well be back next year to hopefully snag a bottle of Rye because right now they dont offer any bottles to go.

Just took a tour of the distillery with Sophie and it was a fantastic experience! I got to taste a couple of different kinds of whiskey. More importantly, I learned about the steps they re taking to be a positive force for the environment, while making an incredible product. After taking the tour, you can see that their actions back up their words. I ll be back, and I ll definitely be buying a bottle when they release their first products!

Update: +1 star. I went back and had a great experience! We were the only people there (got there close to last call) but awesome cocktails and had a fun time shooting the breeze with the bartender. Will go again and keep upping rating. The service was very slow and inattentive - so much so that we left before ordering. The menu was good and the facility and outdoor space were quite nice. Hope to try again one day and update the review.

To be fair, there are some great things about this place but my 3 star comes from a very specific place. First, if you are going out for a cocktail and nice environment to hang with friends, this is a great spot. Second, Its also within a short walk to a brewery with several food trucks, so its a great cap or starter to any evening. Finally, my issue and reason is the Distillery in the name. I do understand it takes a few years before a new distillery can sell its truly own spirits vs rebottling (common practice). Instead, they do have 1 year samples in their flights and presumably what they use in drinks. For a mixed cocktail, this is fine as a quality spirit vs a bad one does make for a huge difference and most people will never notice. BUT, not selling even rebottled/branded spirits of any kind means, IMHO, it should not advertise as a distillery or at least make this well known before coming to try and do flights and sample various bottles for purchase. For the cocktail crowd, great spot, for the whiskey crowd, wait another 2 years, may be great then.

Really great experience! I highly recommend taking the tour, It felt like a VIP experience. Sophie was so knowledgeable about the entire process and loved sharing the information with us. So many people in our group were indifferent about taking the tour and afterwards everyone was so glad we did. I loved the attention to detail and consistency. So much thought went into sustainability and local products, especially glasses from various artists. The picnic blankets were a nice touch. The Rick room was gorgeous and it was so cool to be able to see inside of it. The cocktails were top notch and for the experience and quality the price was very reasonable at around $10 a drink. Great variety too.
