Went here for Emo Nite a few weeks ago and the venue was fine but I have a few concerns I wanted to highlight. 1. No one checked my bag at entry. I was the first person in line and there werent many people so it wasnt a time constraint issue. And while I didnt have anything bad in my bag, its the principle of the matter. If they didnt check my bag, how am I supposed to know theyre checking other bags. There were no metal detectors either. Someone could have easily snuck a weapon in and caused a lot of damage. 2. $5 for a bottle of water. Its becoming more commonplace for there to be free water at shows, Ive seen it at smaller venues. Its not that hard to have a jug of tap water sitting on the bar counter for patrons to take from when theyre thirsty. Especially at such a high energy show like we were at. Really felt like my only options after awhile were to pass out of spend an arm and a leg for something to drink. Kind of a safety concern. 3. The bathrooms are awful. None of the stalls in the womens bathrooms close properly. I witnessed multiple girls have to have their friends hold the stalls closed for them. As for the mens, my boyfriend told me that the one singular toilet in there was clogged and had human feces in the bowl. Again, we were the first in, so how long was that sitting there? All together the bathrooms felt grimey and with the problems listed above, create a HUGE safety issue for the girls and a largely uncomfortable situation for the guys.

We purchased tickets to a show a couple of weeks in advance, but when we arrived the place was closed. We received no notification that the show was going to be canceled and no reimbursement or response from anyone in the company yet. I am concerned that this may be a common occurrence with this establishment because a couple of doormen near the Vulcan informed us that this was not the first time this sort of thing has happened. If I receive a response from someone at VGC, I will update to reflect that in my review.

The venue rescheduled on the day of the event and has dodged every attempt of me receiving a refund. Ill be seeking legal action if they dont respond to this. 8 tickets wasted. Phone lines busy. Email addresses unresponsive. Contact me forum unresponsive. All information on tickets attempted and nothing. Absolutely deplorable waste of time.

We had a sick time last night at The Kill Tony Regulars! The peeps at the door were super quick and got us in and seated fast. There aint a bad seat in the whole place, you can see everything from anywhere. They had a bar right there, easy to grab a drink, or you could just write your order on the ticket and theyd bring it to you. The comedians were hilarious, and the whole vibe was just awesome! Were definitely going back!

Terrible set up so packed it was definitely a compliance violation . We definitely didn t have enough time with the 1 mail man to hear his comedy act. The patrons were short changed & so was he!! So disappointed. They booked to many events back to back. This is a horrible venue and set up. It had terrible seating and chairs and tables were industrial & definitely outdoor furniture. Don t waste your money! Not a huge deal but locking up the phones was a bit much.

Saw AJ Wilkerson here on 7/18. Getting in the door was a breeze, staff at the doors were helpful and efficient. Phones were locked in cases, we were shown directly to our table and where the bar and bathrooms were. Bartender came by our table upstairs to introduce himself, and came back with waters. Great service! Two pieces of feedback: First, the table seating on the second floor is awkward. If you get there early enough, you can pull your chairs up to the railing for a better view, but each table has 4 seats, and there isnt nearly enough room for all four people from each table to sit at the railing. We ended up shuffling around quite a bit during the openers to accommodate for late arrivals and people who were pissed that they paid for seats and couldnt see. Second: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS.

Well, last night, I went to a Free with RSVP EDM show there. They didnt even check to see if I had an RSVP or ticket. I can say this, they were charging $19 for one 16 oz can of electric jellyfish hazy IPA. They were charging either $13 or $14 for one 16 oz can of Lone Star. To the owner/ event producer/ management: Its 2024 Austin yall. Get with the program. Figure out a more competitive pricing structure. We dont live in 2075 Los Angeles. Ive always thought this place was kind of expensive, but thats just insane, really opened my eyes. The jellyfish is easily double the price it normally is. The Lone Star is more than double, folks that arent from here, you can expect to pay five to six bucks for a draught Lone Star. Lone Star beers are nearly the cheapest beers you can buy. Its not even on draft. Crazy.

To people complaining about the seating, it s first come first serve so make sure you get there early if you want to be front and center. Knocked one star off because none of the bathroom stalls lock, like cmon y all, you have to fix that.

While the comedians were great, however, the place was absolute garbage! Here are the key points: 1. Metal broken tables, dirty table cloths, and stools with no back everywhere; how much does it cost to add a back to a stool cost; or even a seat pad to the chair? You only get chairs if you sit in the first 1 row around the stage and the second-row center. Your back will be killing you if you do not get the chairs or drink 3 drinks! lol 2. The entire place was filthy as if they had never cleaned it. The bathroom was disgusting. 3.You had to lock your phones in a nasty little bag for the show it would have been nice to know this ahead of time as I would have simply left my phone in the car. 4. They sell fake Coke as Coke, and when asked about it, they stated it was Southern Coke. Do not order anything that is not in a bottle, as this place is filthy! 5. No menus to know what youre paying for anything 6. Getting into the club was an absolute nightmare and took an eternity. You had to go through a tedious check-in process for your seats, even though you had already paid for them. It felt as if they were ready to sell your seats again if you didnt show up. In closing, the place would not have been that bad and would have been nice if they had cleaned it up, added backs to the stools and provided good drinks.

Pros: Ticketing and entry were smooth and seamless, tickets were well priced, free NA drinks at bar Cons: -The sound quality was TERRIBLE: several patrons/tables complained but the issue still wasnt corrected and first two acts were difficult to hear; -you cannot see the stage from several GA seating options; -Several of the bartenders were very friendly/efficient, but several insisted on having prolonged conversations behind the bar making the acts even more difficult to hear, when asked politely if they could continue their conversation elsewhere (they were right next to patrons) they acted incredulous and continued their convo Overall: I would not pay to see a show here unless you get very well-priced tickets upfront

Small, politically incorrect comedy club that delivers an overall enjoyable experience. It was my first comedy club experience. Would have liked them to offer at least some kind of cocktail menu but its fine, I came to laugh not to drink. When you walk in they lock your phone in some kind of case locker you carry with you that they unlock at the exit. When I asked the bouncer why they do that and he said its to prevent people from cancelling the comics. Fair play on that part, i get it. I booked tickets an hour before and expected a half empty hall since i noticed its empty when I reserved a seat but when I arrived the front rows were all filled so its not a venue many buy tickets for ahead of time, which is nice for those on the fly people. Plus, the tickets are affordable compared to mothership, only $20. I went to the event tonight where the comics perform before and after smoking a joint, so that was a very interesting concept to be a part of.

I used to love coming to this place. All the seating had a great view of the stage- whether you were upstairs or downstairs. Then they got greedy and started selling no view seats for the Kill Tony show (which has since moved venues). These seats can only watch the stage from a TV mounted on the wall . If you try to walk literally a few feet over to the balcony to see the action live, they have very nasty employees waiting to yell at you to get back to your seats. There is no advantage being there versus watching the show on YouTube a day later for free and from the comfort of your own couch. Im thrilled KT left their venue and am hoping they ve reverted to a better guest experience now that they don t have such a popular show there. Even so, I won t be back.

I was on a date and as we walked to our table and sat down, we were approached by an old man who harassed my date about not pulling my chair out for me and was just irate and cursing. The fact he was watching us close enough to be the only people he approached, made me uneasy. He must ve been a regular as he was sitting at the bar after and had his phone while we had ours locked up. He continued to stare at the both of us from the bar the rest of the time. I didn t appreciate him and it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of the time I was there until he was then kicked out within 10min of the show starting. Wasn t the best experience. Went to a comedy show on 7/22, was worried after reading the reviews. But we had a great experience, no issues getting in before showtime (7:30). The tables are packed together but wasnt uncomfortable. Everyone was able to laugh and interact with the comedians, didnt see anyone get shushed or asked to quiet down. Drinks were average price, no complaints

After reading reviews about getting billed $30+ for a drink I asked for a drink menu before ordering. They said they dont have one and said we pretty much have a full bar, anything you want. Who doesnt have a menu or signature cocktails? I stuck to beer to avoid getting ripped off. It took a while to get seated, they told us well have table service. No one came so I went to the bar and ordered a beer, they were very interested in me opening a tab on my credit card, which seemed shady. Then during the show I tried to use the drink order paper on our table but they said I have to come to the bar. I guess its not table service anymore? I was surprised there wasnt a 2 drink minimum, or they didnt press the issue at least

Bar tenders will screw you over, no menu or pricing listed anywhere. Our server thought I was drunk and tried to double charge me and brought out a 2nd whiskey drink that I did not order and she stated was on the house and the last of the bottle Will never return here. Be careful with the drinks as they will make up prices on the spot. One whiskey and beer ending up costing me $36.. STAY AWAY. The owners should be ashamed of what is going on here.

I checked my statement a few weeks later and saw that I was charged $120 for four drinks!!! This place will never pick up their phone or reply to your email. I guess they know why people are calling them for!

The reviews are true. They ll reprimand you for laughing or even engaging quietly with the show. Absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for behavior from staff members. They asked to see my phone because of recording unbelievable and will never come back. One of the comics even went along with some audience members and made some funny jokes off what they had to say, but the audience members were then removed from the building. So sad to be afraid during a comedy show that you might be enjoying it too much ): I understand removing and cracking down on hecklers, but removing people that are genuinely enjoying the experience through laughter? Insane. Owners need to get on this.

Im 40 years old been going to shows/venues my whole life. This hands down was the worst door staff experience of any place Ive ever been to.... total jerks on a huge power trip. Especially The small skinny mexican door girl and the two bouncers one stocky guy with a beard and tattoos and one skinny hipster with thick black framed buddy holly glasses. My freinds showed up.... I walked out side to greet them and walk them in. One girl screamed in excitement cause she was excited to see me and when we walked up they told us we could not enter because we were too drunk. I was 100% sober and dont even drink. The other 2 girls had a drink beforehand but were far from intoxicated . For one they sell alcohol inside which I found ironic. We talked to to police officers who confirmed they were fine and not drunk. They refused and refused to lets us in. The sad part my freind came all the way from Wisconsin to see Yheti, even had his logo tattooed on her arm. And she showed them. Sat out side and cried cause its here all time favorite Dj. They still refused most likely because they were scared to admit they were in the wrong once they realized they werent actually drunk at all. They literally just smirked the whole time and found it amusing to ruin our entire night. Who does that? Really. I ended up paying 30$ and had to leave with my freind empty handed. Ruined pur entire night. Lost my $ for the show, no refund and missed the entire show. Worst experience Ive ever had at any venue. Id save your $ and not go here. I hope this place goes under soon.

Bought tickets for a show Saturday Feb25,23 and arrived at 7 pm when the doors open. Stood outside until 7:30 pm until we met someone who was working on the interior of the club and said it wasn t finished. Why would they sell tickets on their website and then not advise the show has been cancelled? Very disappointing.

We had a great time at Vulcan Gas last evening, 7:00 show David Nihill kept everyone laughing through every part of the show. Great insights, stories refreshing to hear smart comedy rather than some of the stand up out there today. Highly recommend catching one of his shows! The Vulcan is a great venue .it was a packed house but, no hitches in getting in, very systematic & orderly. There was a review about the venue giving away seats the venue did text prior to the show asking us to confirm so maybe those reviewers didn t confirm? Also, FYI the Yondr pouches they lock your phone in stay with you & they quickly unlock them as you leave. I read some bad reviews about bouncers tossing patrons for laughing & have to think they had to be pretty obnoxious because there was plenty of loud laughter last night without patrons getting escorted out. Buy your tickets through the venue or the performer & you shouldn t have any hitches. Lastly, going early gives you plenty of parking options also. Try the Vulcan out for a comedy show- we would visit again!

Super tight seating and funny comedians. Took a star off bc they paid absolutely no attention to the restrooms, so know if youre drinking youre going to have to use them. Our show was the early one at 7:30 and there was no soap, and only 2 of the 4 stalls in the womens was functional, with 1 being taped off and the handicapped having no door on it. It obviously had not been cleaned/stocked/attended to before the show, or at any recent point from the demolished appearance.

Last minute, we decided to go to a show, the show was great, drinks were great, good experience, no complaints. What stood out the most was the fact that we were being accosted by someone (not related to Vulcan) outside while we were purchasing the tickets. The bouncers quickly ushered us inside and handled the situation extremely professionally.

Terrible customer service at venues entrance. Disorganized ticketing review and allowance method. Besides, the entrance staff seem to have power issues. I paid for my ticket, but was impeded to enter due to a clear case of abuse of power, inflexibility, and inability to engage in a civilized dialog in a professional manner. Given the high level of presenters and guests this venue is purporting to host, I think they could do much better to hire trained ushers and receptionists, not a team of brute macho men, resembling a Chicago Mafia team in the heart of ATX. The motto of the most successful service oriented companies and institutions: The customer or client is akways right. Listen to conplaints, acknowkedge them, find a workable solution, bottom line seem to be unknown for these people. Instead, the mottos of dictatorships and criminal institutions lije Mafias seem to be the only one they know. And, ironically, this is a venue that hosts presenters like #Joe Rogan.

Went to a comedy show here. Its a cool venue but I purchased $30 preferred first floor seating and first floor was full so the only open seating was upstairs on the back side of each 4 top table along the balcony. Thats obviously fine if you really want to see the comedian. But when we got there, the people sharing our table right up by the balcony were sitting right up on the balcony rail and we couldnt see the comedians on the stage. Why they charge the same cost for every seat first or second floor, obstructed view or not is beyond me. Please dont mislead people on their experience. Charge less for anything past the seats directly behind the second level front row balcony. Watching a live comedy show on a small TV at the comedy show is not worth $30.

Went to the Thursday Secret Show and my god was it worth the ticket price. The comedians just kept coming and coming. I had to wipe myself clean over and over again. I was yawning towards the end of the set but only cause Im lame and dont know how to live anymore. I think there were 15 comics that went up and seeing legends like Bobby Lee made the ticket price worth it just by his appearance. The Texas-sized cherry on top was when I got my bill and learned that the drinks are priced like its 2016. God bless Joe Rogan and all the staff working there. Also, was pretty entertaining to see the racists leave during the first black comics set. Yes, they all looked liked huge pieces of dung...the racists, that is. Definitely going back to gather more intel, I mean to steal some jokes.
