This place is a Hidden Treasure in Amarillo, and the food and service are Spectacular. I had the Whitney Special and even met the girl the entrée is named after. She is a sweetheart. This is a family owned local business, which I support rather than large chain restaurants. BRAVO to Alexis my server for her food recommendations, and KUDOS to the cooks for making a delicious meal. I will Definitely come back and eat here again. Returned on 9.27.2024 and was served by Jaidyn. She was Spectacular!! The Sicilian Chicken and Tiramisu were Outstanding!!

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and the food was absolutely outstanding. We started off with fried calamari and it was the best I ve ever had. The bistecca marsala was so good! Pescaraz is absolutely amazing! We serve families of sick and injured children from all across the area at the Ronald McDonald House. Pescaraz has been providing meals every week or two for the past 8+ years and even delivers straight to our House. Any time weve needed anything, theyve always been there and then some! When people talk about why you should support small and local businesses, this is the perfect example of why! It doesnt hurt that the food is consistently good and everything on the extensive menu is worth ordering too!

Pescaraz catered my daughter s wedding dinner. It was amazing! The food was hot, delicious, and delivered right on time. Our guests loved the Fettuccine Alfredo, the Lasagne, and especially the Italian Special! We also love how they can accommodate large parties in the restaurant. We used to eat here weekly and noticed it wasn t the same so it s been two years since we ve eaten here. We decided to give it another try tonight and yuck fried ravioli was cold in the middle and our regular favorite dishes didn t taste the same at all. The bread didn t have much flavor. Phenomenal place! First off I m gluten free, & they had a great selection of gluten free dishes! I ended up getting the shrimp and crab pasta dish and it was so good! The bread that comes out before the food was so buttery and filled with a garlic flavor that also comes with a marinara dipping sauce! I couldn t resist trying some despite my gluten sensitivity. We also had the calamari appetizer which is probably one of my favorites that I ve had thus far! Our waiter was nice and patient with us. Overall was a 10/10 experience for us.

We had a family bridal luncheon at Pescara s for my daughter on one of the busiest weekends of the year. Tonya and her team went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. Our drinks were always full and the breadsticks kept coming. We chose to go with a set menu of your choice of one of 3 entrees, a salad and a drink to make it easier, although I had some picky eaters who steered, they accommodated each of us. The house grilled chicken, meat lasagna and chicken Alfredo were all hot and delicious. The portions were huge and no one left hungry. We had a great experience and I can t thank Tonya and her crew enough for making my daughter s day go off without a hitch.

I live in Austin, my mother lives in Amarillo. I recently ordered food for her and it never got delivered. After trying to contact them about this several times I finally got someone on the phone just to be put on hold !!! While Pescaraz didn t have many vegan options on the menu, the chef and staff went out of their way to provide a delicious and satisfying meal. The food was excellent and our whole party enjoyed the afternoon, regardless of dietary restrictions. We had a food allergy at the table and diligence was exercised to ensure no recipes contained problematic ingredients. The atmosphere was charming. If we hadn t just been passing through Amarillo, Pescaraz Italian Restaurant would surely become a staple in our restaurant rotation.

We used to comeby here all the time and our favorite is tortellini with vodka sauce. But I thought it was just a change of chef because the last time we went here my tortellini is watery,hard pasta & the sauce doesnt taste the same we have not came back since. Today, We went to try my favorite again but it really has changed. It doesnt have that smoky cheesy flavor anymore,(atleast its not watery this time) The sauce tasted more bland, The baked chicken is so dry and the breading is not the same crunchy flavorful baked chicken it used to be.. I do not recommend eating at Pescaraz Italian restaurant. This used to be a great place. The quality of food and professionalism has really gone down. I ordered the Italian special and it was awful! It was super dry, the vegetables were old, & and it had no taste at all. If Im expected to pay a high price for a dish. I expect the food to taste great, the environment to be clean, and the employees to look & act professional. There needs to be a major upgrade in management/ownership.

This place used to be great, but now it is a severe disappointment. After finally being seated, we ordered bread and Alfredo sauce. It took about 30 minutes to get it. Then we ordered food and that took literally 1 hour to start getting food. They brought out 1 entree at a time over about a 20 minute period. Other tables that were seated after us got their entrees before us, but even for them they brought out 1 entree at a time. One dish was completely wrong, just pasta in butter and it was cold. Spaghetti tasted like Golden Corral spaghetti. Overall, a very poor visit and this is the third time in a row things like this have happened. It was not just a bad night because I know that can happen at restaurants. It seems like this restaurant has gone downhill from what it used to be. Perhaps management has changed somewhat recently or something, I don t know. Things need to change.

Walked in with a birthday party and was seated rather quickly. The place wasnt real busy. Thats where the good part of the experience ends. Waitress took our drink orders and we ordered appetizers at the same time. After about 10 min we had to track down our waitress and ask for the bread. Skip ahead to 45 min and our appetizers finally came out but still no bread, so it was asked again and another 10 minutes went by and we finally got bread after being there an hour already. Food came out and I ordered the Cajun tortellini. It looked like I had ordered from the kids menu. It had 11 tortellini and 3 shrimp in the bowl. For $18 you would think there would be a bit more to it. Another group member ordered seafood Alfredo. The only seafood in it was imitation crab meat which was also about $18. There was a side salad ordered and to my surprise when the bill came was $15. The lobster ravioli had to be sent back. This place used to be real good. Anyone that says the prices are excellent either works there or knows people that do. They charge fresh seafood prices for imitation seafood. Just my bill for 4 people was $120 and the food wasnt good enough to get to go boxes. If we didnt eat it fresh then we sure wasnt going to eat it warmed up again. I might give it another chance later since it was good the other previous times I had been, but its going to be a while

Ordered the alfredo with italian sausage. The alfredo was so bland. No flavor what so ever. They charged me $4 for the sausage which is fine but i didnt realize it was a tiny link and the cook just cut it into 4 pieces which is just lazy. I was a cook for many years when i was younger and i would have NEVER sent out a dish like that. Especially for what the customer spent on the food. I use to love this place. Guess things have changed. I wont be going back. Heard the italian joint on 9th and Tyler is awesome. Im headed that way.

After she took our order we heard her say something about a meeting out back to another waitress and they disappeared for a while. I had a great experience here! Food was very tasty. I had the Pescaraz special with spinach added. Everything was delicious but was a little disappointed to be served fake crab in my dish but what do you expect with such good prices for quality food. That s the only thing I would change. The garlic twists they send to the table are amazing and fresh. Service was attentive and their Italian crème cake is a must try for desert. I would love to come back and try more dishes!

Owner Tahja treats employees terrible. Hired her own daughter as a manager (nepotism) when there was others with actual manager skills. Gets in employees faces and makes employees cover jobs thats not near their job title. Told 2 employees do we have a problem because we can take it out back and tall it out they are closed tomorrow due to everyone quiting due to her toxic leadership. And I do not doubt it has happened before or wont happen in the future. There are other terrible things but cant write out an entire bibliography.

Ill make this short. Amarillo is lacking in Italian food restaurants and this is one of the few. The portions are huge. Almost too big to be honest. I like to take home my leftovers but this is a whole other meal. The quality has been sacrificed for portion and the lack of profit is showing up in the atmosphere as well. Ive seen the same light fixture slowly lose bulbs over the past six months or so. One bulb is understandable, two is acceptable, but when four of the five bulbs are out in one fixture, thats lazy management. It makes me wonder what is going on behind the scenes. Bottom line, you are definitely going to go here for the double meal special but just do take out because the ambiance isnt worth it.

This used to be our favorite restaurant. Everytime we come back, we end up disappointed. No one smiles. The kitchen played ghetto rap really loud over the Italian music trying to play. My food hardly had any sauce and the tiramisu had dry lady fingers with nothing on them. My chicken was like jerky. Not coming back. Go to Olive Garden people. Charge food out the for it to be McDonalds quality.

The food was wonderful; the garlic knots are a must-try. Will definitely visit again soon. Service was okay, the young lady seemed to be having a bad day but was trying to make the most of it. Overall taste was 7.5 out of 10

Tried this place for the first time. The bread and marinara is pretty good. I got the Cheese Tortellini with shrimp (4 shrimp on the lunch plate) & alfredo sauce. It was ok, the pasta was a little overdone for me. But the alfredo was good. Also ordered Tiramisu for dessert. It was a little frozen on the top, but pretty good. Might come back and try something else.

Highly recommend! A very cute little Italian place that is very delicious. I had their gluten free Italian pasta and it was so good! My dining companion had the lasagna and also said it was delicious. Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free pene pasta. You just ask for their gluten free menu but they have quite a few different options! Parking: Its in a strip mall and offers a lot of convenient parking.

Server and host were polite, and we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving on a Saturday evening, so that was nice. The live music was great! Overall atmosphere was really good. Calamari portion was pretty small for $12, and mushy, but at least it was hot. The pizza we ordered was still doughy. The marinara on the spaghetti was watery. I m not against canned, store-bought marinara (gave it to my kids the night before because it was a busy night), but I was expecting a little more from an Italian restaurant. I doubt the meatballs were made in-house, Costco has a better quality (never tried Sam s). My husband was pretty sure his eggplant was microwaved. I m not one to leave bad reviews, I think this is the second one ever; but I would have liked to have known these things before we spent over $100 (2 adults, 4 kids, and everyone just had water to drink).

As an Italian, not recommended!!!!! Quite questionable salad starter, with cold cuts that are not our tradition! My first course with sauce and meatballs tasted sour and like frozen meatballs. My wife had a lasagna....Everything looked less than this! In short, it does not reflect our true Italian tradition!

Parking: Plenty of parking, came in Sunday 2:15 place was half empty,, told me 20 minute wait, tables needed to be cleaned asked hostess,can you clean one? Answer, not my job. 4 couples and foursome came in behind me at different times. One couple stayed and we both were sat in 10 minutes. Food was good, much better than Olive Garden. Waitress was ok! Greetings suck!

This used to be one of our favorites. We haven t been in a few months. We had family in town today, and took them for lunch. The hostess didn t speak to us. We ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms. They arrived as a bowl full of off tasting alipana sauce with sliced mushrooms on n top. My brother in law had the lasagne, and my niece had beef ravioli. Neither of them could eat it because it was so salty. They both said it tasted like a bad frozen dinner. My son had shrimp scampi. He did eat it, but said he was too hungry to not eat it, that it wasn t very flavorful and the shrimp were rubbery. My husband had the crab and shrimp alfredo. He couldn t eat it. I had spaghetti with garlic oil and mushrooms, and added meatballs. The pasta tasted as if it were cooked days ago. It was tough. And cold. The plate was even cold. The meatballs were clearly frozen, not homemade. In fact, they were still cold in the middle. I rated two stars because although we had to practically beg for bread, it was good. Our waitress was nice, but never asked how our food was. I d have politely told her. She didn t even question why no one ate their food. I m sad ..it used to be so good!

Today I would like to share my opinion on Pescaraz Italian Restaurant. More then 6 months ago I visited this establishment. I was with a party of 10 and I had ordered a sandwich. I kept waiting for my sandwich which they said it was waiting to be put in oven. I told them the sandwich does not go in the oven. Needless to say 9 other people had finish before I received my meal and it had not been placed in oven. So Friday night I tried it again and was told it be 30 minutes. It was a Friday so that was understandable. We were a group of 2 and noticed a party of 2 come after us get seated before us. We were then seated they were out of powerade and the wifes tea tasted and look like water. The waitress said they were waiting on bread to cook, but we saw other servers getting bread. We placed our order and 20 minutes later we were told that they were not making what my wife had ordered tonight. In my opinion the waitress seemed rude. We also still did not have bread after 20 minutes. So we decided to leave and go someplace else.

I am so disappointed. My partner and I are visiting from out of town and saw the great reviews to this place. We decided to take my mother in law out for her birthday and it was a massive let down. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it tasted like they dumped ragu sauce on chicken and called it a day. My partner got the Italian special and the chicken had absolutely no flavor. The chicken tasted like it wasn t seasoned. The service was great and everyone seemed nice, but the food was honestly gross. I could ve made better at home for cheaper.
