Homey relaxed feel when you walk in. The light hint of the wood smoked goodness filling the air. Nine Line has to be one of the best BBQ Joints in Amarillo. You can taste the love and time put into everything on the plate. From the rub on the Brisket to the tender juiciness of the chicken, you can see and taste the attention to detail in every bite. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

I did not take a picture of our food so my apologies. The RIBS ARE AWESOME! They told us they were out the grill master heard us ask abd they had two bones left and we tasted why they were out! The burnt end was so good. My husband had brisket and said they were so good. I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was so good. I even ate the rest of my coleslaw that I did not put on my sandwich. If I ever come back to Amarillo, TX I will definitely come back here! The waiter, who I am not sure if he owns the place or not, was so great. I literally just left. It is 3:53 on 9/13/2024

Sadly, My 3 meat meal was not what I expected after reading the reviews. Smoked Mac and cheese was cold, Pork was mush and watery, Ribs were near meatless and covered in grease The Chicken was the most decent item which was under temp as well. The bread was a small sliver which crumbled when I went to tear it. Sad I was going to take it home but just no point.

This place did not disappoint! Dry rub on the ribs....no need for sauce!! So tender, moist and delicious...fell off the bone! Brisket was tender and moist! Slaw, potato salad and beans all excellent! The owner, John, was a lot of fun to chat with as he gave us samples to try and shared his story! This place is so worth trying and it wont disappoint you! Thanks John, it was all EXCELLENT!!

Great service, phenomenal bbq ribs!!! And brisket! Only one piece of advice. One of my kids got the turkey, and didnt finish it. now Ive never had bbq turkey before but it was average as far as flavor and texture for me. Would recommend you go with the pulled chicken if you dont want to go with the amazing classic bbq options.

This place is awesome! Has a very down home feel to it, like the diners I grew up in. The staff was well over accommodating! They were on top of their game the entire time. Traveling through Amarillo from Phx on the way to Atlanta, my wife and I stopped at Nine Line (close to I-40 and rated 4.9). Wow! The owners came out and shared lunch and stories, really took us in. But the barbecue was phenomenal. We tried brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and banana pudding. Nine Line does not disappoint. Thanks for much more than great barbecue.

We were in town just passing through and I googled BBQ and this place popped up. So glad it did. 10/10. First we were greeted right away and Demetrius was so attentive even though it got busy closer to the lunch hour. Most tender chicken Ive ever had. Same with the brisket. BBQ sauce was delicious and the Mac n cheese was wonderful. My mom has the Cole slaw and enjoyed that as well. I love the theme of the restaurant but the food is out of this world good. Definitely check them out. And apparently you want to get there early because they run out sometimes!

Brisket was 5 out of 5 but the mac and cheese was lukewarm and so so, the potato salad was ok 3 out of 5 wish they had mashed potatoes or a baked potato, the bread was the cheap soft kind from a bag 0 out of 5, the beans were good but too many shells on them 4 out of 5. Wish they put as much love into the sides as they did into that brisket.

We were passing through town a bit late, so we ordered takeout. They were out of ribs and brisket, so we ordered Sausage, Chicken, and Pulled Pork, with Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Coleslaw, & Potato Salad. Food was very good and the BBQ sauce was great. Even better was the young man who took care of us. He was so respectful and told me a little about the owner who served in the military and supports all branches of the U.S. military.

The meat was perfectly cooked and the prices were so reasonable. My husband is an avid meat smoker and said hes never had a better brisket and pulled pork before. Ive also never had banana pudding before and it was amazing. Definitely going to try and imitate it at home. The service was very great. You cant go wrong coming here. I bought the 1 meat 2 sides meal and banana pudding. Food is great, but I highly don t recommend delivery. Not only was my banana pudding missing, but when I tried to call them and the delivery service they use tried to call them it just constantly went to voicemail. My food was literally just thrown together in the container, liquid was leaking all over, the green beans were mushy, and so was the bread they placed on top of everything. Please put the bread in a smaller, separate container so this doesn t happen. This absolutely was not worth the $40 I had to pay.

I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side (included in price!) of potato salad. The pork was very tender with a good flavor and no fatty bits. I only gave the food a 4 because of the potato salad. I was really looking forward to it, but it was too salty to eat. Those preparing food for the public need to keep in mind that customers can always add salt to their liking, but a dish that s too salty right out of the kitchen results in food going to waste. :(

First I love that they honor those who served and has a POW table setup when you first walk in. As a Veteran my eyes teared up. The serve was AMAZING. He is so kind and pleasant. The food!!! I received big portions on my 3 Meat Plate (Ribs, Jalapeño Sausage, and Turkey, with Mac&Cheese and Cole Slaw) for a fair price and with great service - hell of a dining experience. I m especially grateful for the military discount they offer. Unfortunately they ran out of brisket and pulled pork when I came in (2.5 hours after opening), so I ll keep in mind to get here earlier next time, looking forward to it!

This is one of our newest favorite BBQ places to go. The place is small, but the service and food beats most any place you would want to go eat. We do recommend going early, because they are so good, they will run out of some menu items as it gets toward the end of the day. I have to add that this is the ONLY place we have found mustard based potato salad that is as good or better than any weve had. Weve tried most everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. Also, they serve a BBQ meatloaf meal on Fridays only, and it starts being served at 4:00 PM Central Time, and will run out quickly on most Fridays. Ive never had a meatloaf like it before, but it will make it hard to eat meatloaf anywhere else now. Please support this business, because it is one you want to keep around.

Loved the family meal as we got to try 4 delicious meats (sliced brisket, chicken, pulled pork, and ribs) and my favorite part of the meal, 4 sides. They were all so good! We ordered smoked mac and cheese (husbands fave), coleslaw (my fave), BBQ beans (kids fave), and potato salad (everyones fave). They also give you a choice of sliders, buns, or toast. Huge portions left us enough for dinner too. Ana our server was very friendly and came to check on us multiple times as did several of the other staff. We felt very welcome as out of towners driving through and are excited to come back again next time. Thank you!

Let s knock our first things first. This place ain t the cheapest. 20 bucks for a basic plate was enough to scare me to a sandwich. Still, I wanted to give the place a good chance. I had the brisket and some Mac and cheese. For me the brisket was mmm good wet. Normally that s a bad thing, but not this time. Won t find no road kill jerky here. And the portion for it was plentiful. The mac and cheese was good but different. It wasn t bad, of course, but just a difference from normal mac and cheese that I ve had. I m sure more people like it then dislike it, but I would get another side in the future. Even still, I could tell that care was taken in its preparation and was filling. Service was outstanding. I had been here all the time when it was robinsons but they have done some minor remodeling and it feels more like a smaller restaurant then a bbq hut. A nice touch. The wait staff was very attentive and never ignored or forgot about me. Finally, and I ll be honest, I was originally going to leave a 4. It wasn t bad, but the balance of cost to meal just outweighs it for me when there are other bbq joints around. However, I bumped it up to a 5 based upon their morals alone. No offense to 9 line, but my absolute favorite is Crazy Larry s and after their fire, I felt mega respect for them for getting donations out together to help them out. Maybe some competition, but shows that their hearts are in the right place. Overall? It s not an everyday thing. Price might quickly bankrupt you. But, to have an occasional stop from time to time for some good food I do suggest it and I will be back. Maybe can get ahold of some of those ribs next time if not out. Parking: Parking is not their fault. Building only basically has 3 spots and got to park in the spots around it. Could be worse but that s how the building was designed.

Best BBQ in the Panhandle! There I said it. SERVICE - Friendly ATMOSPHERE- a little crowded but worth it. FOOD- was the best meal I have had ever, (excluding my wife cooking of course.) PRICE- was a bit intimidating but,worth it. (This definitely isnt a Happy Meal, but you should see the smile on my face!) The Ribs is what you must have. It fell off the bone and is honestly the first time Ive eaten BBQ with a fork! The brisket was good as well. With a slight hesitation I tried the BBQ sauce, for those of you that do know me, I dont like BBQ Sauce atleast not until just today. The green beans were good but, a little sweet for me. And the Mac and Cheese was on point. The bread was basically an after thought however, I would have preferred it toasted at least. I highly recommend this place and would even go as far as naming this place, as my new favorite spot, in Amarillo!

HANDS DOWN BEST BARBECUE IN TEXAS!!!!!! Wow!!! The ribs are absolutely to die for, and the brisket is so tender and juicy you can cut it with a fork!! The pulled pork was great also!! Called to get pricing on catering for event, they were so helpful. I just told them here the budget, do what you can and they provided our guests with the BEST pork butt and potato salad and Cole slaw! I hate Cole slaw but this Cole slaw is just amazing! Ribs, chopped brisket, and pulled pork are all excellent. Side have a unique sweetness to them. Beans and green beans, thats is. Mac n Cheese has a hint of bacon and is cheesy and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Didnt try slaw or potato salad. Also, staff was very helpful and kind. Demetrius was our waiter, and couldnt have done it better

This place is already amazing and their dining room isn t even open yet!!! We pre-ordered a smoked meat loaf with the sides and it s the best meal we ve had in ages! I had family in town visiting over spring break. We visited Sad Monkey Mercantile for an afternoon of hanging out. Nine Line BBQ happened to be offering food for the afternoon, so I decided to give them a try. It was the best BBQ brisket and sausage that I have had in a long time. Not only was the BBQ itself impressive, the sides of smoked mac n cheese and coleslaw were phenomenal as well. I was so impressed with the food that I have followed Nine Line BBQ on Facebook just to know where to track them down and get more!
