Good evening, spent almost $ 80 on 2 pizzas and 2 pastas to go! Never again! Pizza was dry with a little bit of flavor, on the other hand pasta was absolutely flavorless, had the arrabiata pasta and the cacio e pepe! Disappointing for an Italian establishment with 4.6 stars reviews! Very very unfortunate that this happened! Have a blessed evening

My family and I love Numero 28. Everything on the menu is authentic, from the daily specials to the structured menu, the pizza is absolutely fantastic! Ask the owner/general manager Leo about his monthly dinner events, held on Sunday nights, usually featuring a well though out wine pairing, and typically something you wont find on any menu in town., Cant say enough great things about Numero 28, its a well kept secret.

Nestled in a cozy corner, Numero 28 offers a delightful escape with its warm ambiance and inviting décor. The menu showcases a range of artisanal pizzas that are both creative and traditional, each made with high-quality ingredients. The Margherita pizza stood out with its perfectly charred crust and fresh basil, while the Truffle pizza was a decadent treat that balanced earthy flavors beautifully. The service was attentive without being intrusive, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The food is beyond exceptional. The pizza is pure perfection, with a crispy, wood-fired crust and fresh, high-quality ingredients that burst with flavor. Every bite transports you straight to Italy. We also tried the pasta, and it was equally outstanding rich, flavorful sauces and perfectly cooked. The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. This place is AMAZING! Not only is it the best Italian restaurant and best pizza in the area, but also the best service. Alex is a great server, always on top of things and goes out of his way to make the dinning experience special. Melita, the manager, cares so much about the guests and will treat you like family. The owner, Leo, puts his heart and soul into his restaurant and it shows in everything they do. And the server Nicole is so dedicated to her work and her guests. Also, I recently got diagnosed with a wheat and dairy allergy and thought Numbero 28 would be off the menu, but nope. They have gluten free and dairy free pasta, pizza crust, and focaccia bread so there are plenty of options for people with allergies.

What a great spot! We have lived in the area for several years and continue to find that good, high quality Italian food is hard to come by. So many places in this corner of the metroplex use the same industrial tomato sauce, powdered cheese, greasy meats, and oily bread. So Numero 28 s use of high-quality ingredients is very appreciated. We ve tried most of the menu items and haven t had a miss yet. The pesto gnocchi is fantastic and the Cacio y Pepe, which is served straight out of the cheese wheel, is a must. We like to add a protein with it. Pizzas and appetizers don t disappoint. The staff is always friendly and helpful, including actively letting us know when they re having specials or discounts on wine or other treats. In a universe of many mediocre restaurants that still charge plenty for low-quality ingredients, Numero 28 is a little beacon of hope. Give them a try!

Nice little place to have dinner with friends. We went on a weekday night, it wasnt that busy & we got seated right away. My friend had the Lasagna Bolognese & I had the Cannelloni Con Punghi, both of our entrees were very generous portions! We both really enjoyed our food. The wait wasnt long & the bread they gave us while waiting was also good. The place seemed clean, people seemed to enjoy working there which is always a plus. The table for two was a little small. We also felt a little rushed, there were people outside but not many in the inside, actually we might have been the only ones left but it was a good half hour before closing when a lot of closing duties were happening. Staff was very nice though. It is a cute place, parking is up front which is convenient. Id go back & recommend you try them.

I teied this place as i was in Allen and my daughter loves pizza. The place looks like a cool atmosphere. It was my first time there, the lady who seated us was ok. The waiters arent that friendly and no one really checked on his bedides the guy who brought us our pizza. We decided to eat outside and my daughter decided to go inside because of flies. When we went in not very much room to sit and there was a spot not too far from the bathroom. That side smelled lile the bathroom hall area not very good. The food was not good to me I had lasagna only ate the middle with the meat not the sauce. I was disappointed bc i then saw the flies they were the gnat flies and i lost my appitete gnats were getting all over the food. My daughter enjoyed the cheese pizza but I dont want to eat anywhere that has bugs flying around on the food. Also the bruschetta was cold

True wood fired pizza! I am very picky about my pizza, and this place is excellent. We did not try any pasta but it looked delicious. The restaurant is super cute and there is a nice patio as well.

I was going to get a pizza to go. I thought it would take the usual 15-20 minutes. And then I decided to eat in. I think I got a pizza in less than 10 minutes. And it was fresh and fantastic. It is a little expensive for a pizza but omg the taste was phenomenal. I got the Capricciosa. The chairs were a little cheap. No padded seats. Appeared like formica table tops. Depending on the time it might be tough parking right in front but for a little walk or a little inconvenience, the taste was fantastic. Dietary restrictions: They did have gluten-free option.

The eggplant bruschetta was a standout and the calamari was good. Tartufo pizza was solid, the flavor was more mushroom forward than truffle and I would have preferred more truffle but that s my own love of truffle talking. Squid ink pasta was nice and spicy. Atmosphere was cute and the service was friendly and quick. Tiramisu was great!! There are quite a few vegetarian options that looked great and we tried at least 4! Parking may be an issue for those who can t walk far, there are a few spots directly in front and to the side of the restaurant, but after those are full you ll need to park across the street in the other lots. Not really far but I could see it being an issue for some.

Per a bunch of recommendations we tried Numero 28; pizza was definitely good; got the Austin pizza which was really good! We got the trio bruschette which was good; we liked the pureed artichoke the best, didn t care for the us dried tomato one. Also ordered the gnocchi which were soft and light, very nice. Atmosphere is good, just like any other smaller shopping center restaurant, service was friendlier than most. I will say I was disappointed because we asked for boxes so they take your food in the back to be packaged, the server returned with a styrofoam box, I asked her if everything was in there because I had sent 75% of my gnocchi and 75% of a pizza to get boxed and she said yes. Because it was tied I didn t want to insult her. Get home to find gnocchi not in the box, waste of $20. I m sure this is an exception but definitely annoying.

You gotta try this place! You feel like you re in a quaint little trattoria in Italy. Food is to die for real Italian. Leo, the owner is on top of it all! Gotta make a reservation busy on weekends! Vegetarian options: Pizza, soup, and salad options as well as eggplant Parmesan (though there is cheese) Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options galore thank goodness someone is paying attention! Also, vegetarian options. Parking: Parking lots all around as well as drop off and then go park.

Made reservations after reading great reviews and recommendations of a food group. Seated at the table in front of the door. Constant people coming and going. Watched a waitress enjoy her basketball game and listened to the hostess take calls. Food came and the eggplant appetizer was refreshing and good. Then the special came, pork and saffron risotto. Looked like someone got sick on my plate. 3 spam patties on a yellow blob with strings of saffron. Salty. Tasted nothing but sodium. Spam patties tasted just like spam. Risotto was just gross, I have no other words. I ate some and asked for a box. So disappointed. Special was nothing special. Waitress wasn t very attentive either.

Wow, the food here was delicious! We wanted to try something different than our usual favorite Italian place and found this place to try. It was quite a surprise how much more authentic the food is here. The cannelloni was exquisite. Some people on the reviews said the portion size was lacking but we had leftovers although putting down our forks was definitely hard. Did I mention it was delicious? We did take-out and the staff treated us like we came for a sit-down meal with the attention my wife received when picking up our order. We found a new favorite spot! Thank you Numero 28 staff. We ll be back soon.

Margherita pizza was very good, thin, fresh and soft. Cacio e Pepe tasted good but ,pasta was not cooked fully (a little hard)as per my liking ( may be it s supposed to be like that ). I had a new experience with Trio Bruschetta, it had 3 different toppings on separate breads. Tiramisu was delicious, my wife liked it( usually very picky with Tiramisu) . Ambience and service were very good. Happy to have explored a good new Italian restaurant.

My family of 6 decided to give something new a try. We were not disappointed! We had the garlic focaccia bread, ceaser salad, cheese pizza, ravioli, and chicken Parmesan. All of us ate every bite. The servings are considered small however we left full with nothing to-go. I like that. The pasta sauce is veryyyyy yummy here, we were impressed! We will be back. The service is amazing, we loved our waitress Dandrea , we will ask for her next time we visit. Highly recommend this ma and pop Italian gem!

My wife and I just got home from a wonderful evening at Numero 28. Ever since a visit to Todd Englishs Olives at the Bellagio (not there anymore) in Las Vegas, we fell in love with Carpaccio (our first time ever having it), and it seemed to be difficult to find a restaurant that did it well. Numero 28s carpaccio was so close that it reminded us of our Vegas trip. We also ordered the calamari, some formaggio bread and the Numero 28 pizza and the strawberry panna cotta special dessert. All of it was great! Lorenzo was our server, who also juggled working the bar, so we ended up with great drinks and great service. Wed order the Spicy (which was really spicy, never had jalapeno tequila before but didnt need a drink of water...it was the spicy flavor), the Cucumber martini (which was very refreshing), the Berries over the west, the fiorellino, and the espresso martinis. We went on a Thursday, where it wasnt too busy, but as the evening went on, we could tell that more tables were filling up. I can imagine the weekends are much busier. Highly recommended for a date night!

Stopped by for an evening meal while in town for the day. Unsure of what to expect, and honestly, my son and I were seated and it took a bit longer than I d expect to be greeted by wait staff. However, once we spoke with a waiter, the experience couldn t have been better! The food was great, I had a pizza and my son had the Chicken Parmigiana. We were both extremely pleased. The waiter and other staff was very attentive, and as I ate I started noticing the staff knew almost everyone that came in and were all very friendly with their customers. If I was a local, I would be back regularly! The restaurant was so comfortable. Thanks for the experience!

The food is here is so delicious! Honestly, would come back again to try different things. We got the carpaccio, spaghetti, truffle pizza, and porchetta: all were delicious and I wish we ordered more. The portions are a little smaller, so between 3 adults I would recommend getting more than just an appetizer and 3 mains. The service is a little slow - I believe they were short staffed that day. Definitely give this a try, especially in such a great location!

We ordered a pepperoni pizza, $17, and asked for only half pepperoni. They accomplished this well, however when the check came, they charged us an additional $1.50 to not put pepperoni on the entire pizza. The extra $1.50 did not ruin Christmas, it was just a ridiculous charge. Food was good, however the money grab to not put pepperoni on the entire pie means we will not darken their door again. I would understand if we ordered the cheese pie and asked for half pepperoni, but we ordered the more expensive pie and again, they charged us to not put all of the pepperoni on the pie.

Food was okay but this place was so uncomfortable. Metal chairs and booths with the thinnest cushion, tables literally on top of each other it was impossible to stand up without shaking both tables. Waitress is pleasant but offers two bread options house or focaccia. Only later do we realize that the focaccia is on the menu for $9. They were planning on charging us $9 for bread we didnt even ask for!! SUPER UNETHICAL, we came to celebrate a family event and would have spent more but honestly cant stand business that are so willing to deceive their customers.
