This park is placed inside founders park sport complex. Great location and facility. Current kids playground is worn out though.. if maintained well this could have been a major attraction in DFW... they are building a new park in the next lot but nothing unique about it compared to current playground. Hope the councel spruce up this place

Great park to take toddlers and kids ... many things to do! A few minor repairs are needed here and there. I went to watch the 4th of July Fireworks .. it was a nice evening, safe, well managed

New playground is underway as of 7/4/24. But there are trails and all the ball fields. There are restrooms! Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome on a leash but Ive seen dozens over the years run around in the baseball fields playing :)

Beautiful park with plenty of play space for children. I seen a loose yellow jacket flying, inspected to find a huge nest with 30 wasps attached. Thankfully me and my son were the only ones there. If it was high volume traffic and children commotion, no doubt the wasps would ve been swarming and stinging kids. It is multiple underneath the children walkways all that stomping from the kids irritates wasps because they are sensitive to vibrations and motions.BE CAREFUL YELLOW JACKET WASPS

Turf fields in Texas are just a terrible idea. Temps in summer hit 192 on field. The two grass fields are at least flat and have nice grass. Stop with the turf already. 1 star for turf, 4 for grass.

Large park for mostly soccer and baseball fields. There is a play area that looks like it might be fun for the kids but we didnt go into it as we were there for a soccer game. It is surprisingly easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking.

This is a great improvement for the city, of course its not finished yet and difficult to rate. When completed I believe it will be a 5 star park with all one needs to escape from the mundane daily hussel in our lives. Its got a good path for walking jogging and bike riding. It will have a splash pool and good place to walk the dogs. I always like the idea of having parks in and around the city! Just thinking of NY with only one park. We are blessed to have such a wonderful place to go to like this little patch of land. Anytime we have good community access for leisure time. 4.5 star Playground: The park is not finished yet so Im not sure if it will have restrooms or picnic area. I hope it will. Dog-friendliness: I saw several people with dogs. Please remember to keep your dog on a leash and happy living to all.

This a was a random find for my son and I. It was a very fun park with lots of nooks for kids to hide in. Our favorite part was the playground is a pirate ship. The park has a porta potty next to the play ground but does have real restroom alittle further away.

Update- Still a fun place, but just not enough shade for Texas summers. All of the swings are blistering hot. It would not be hard to put a shade structure over this. Unfortunately, there was some major damage to the fence the last time I went. The park is starting to fall apart and the lack of maintenence is evident. A fun park, but still has a few areas that could be improved. The ground always has plastic bottles, snack packaging, and other assorted trash on the ground. Theres a sign that says not to bring food into the playground but its ignored. Some of the wood on the playground is warping and doesnt look the best, but seems sturdy enough. Plenty of swings, but I do wish they had a shade cover like Ive seen at other parks. This place is close to the house and is a large and interesting place for the kiddo to run around so we still hit it up frequently.

The soccer fields are in pretty good condition (grass) and they have a big map which makes it easy to locate where you need to be for soccer games. Restrooms are clean and they have a nice little concessions area. I believe there is a playground and I did see basketball hoops and baseball fields. Toilets: Restrooms are always pretty clean.

We have been coming to founders park for many many years. It started as an awesome park that was boasting with kids and parents playing. At some point, the wooden park had been deteriorating as that is what wood does over time. We stayed away because there were many rotted and flimsy parts. Today we took a chance to see if much has changed and to our surprise, it has! They got rid of that awful flooded area that separates the patio to the play area and moved it closer together. It s nice to be able to access the kids without having to use the one way in and out. Only missing one more star because there are some pieces that are in need of cosmetic repair. Hopefully they upgrade this soon. Our parks are in need of a remodel

My son has games and practices at this park. Great facility. The only thing I would suggest is to add some more lighting to the road leading to the park, and lighting up the drive path a bit better. Its hard to see it at night.

Food is average, seems to have gone down a bit. The rice was hard and dry, it seemed old. Ordered the mix mex rice for the kids meals and they gave us the cilantro lime rice for the kids which has a bit of spice to it. They wouldnt eat it. They could improve on their customer service for sure. The place was empty but they complained about my kids. Theyre spending money on your games. Why have them if they cant play. Maybe I was there on an off day but this experience was sub par today. Gave three stars because its been better in the past for sure. Heres to hoping it improves again.

Parking is really rough here. Prepare to not park close to the fields on soccer days. Also, bring a chair. Bleachers are extremely limited. They could use more garbage cans too.
