I want to congratulate all of the staff and crew at this La Quinta in Wylie Texas for your dedication to excellence and hospitality! I really wanted to acknowledge Miss Dayanna, the assistant general manager, who checked me in at night, and returned in the morning. I ve been to many hotels, and Dayanna is the best at the front desk, from her energy level, her ability to talk and dialogue with the guest, and actually be present, and involved in her job. Thank you so much Dayanna. In a world where everyone is looking for a deal, and people complain only to get discounts, we forget to take the time to look around and truly appreciate the hard work, efforts, and true dedication of the people around us who have built, made, and suffered for us to experience the satisfactions we take for granted everyday. I wish I was spoken to at those high-end hotels I ve stayed at, the way Dayanna spoke to me upon check-in. I noticed her being able to communicate and handle people like a pro. That is a talent not everyone has, great job! The room was beyond clean and beautiful! I really needed some time away to think and after spending the night here I feel renewed. The breakfast was wonderful, with all the selections one could even imagine, very clean, tidy, and delicious. You guys are awesome! Thank you for all you do. The young attendant upon check-in seemed completely checked out, and really struggled to communicate- whether from shyness or just youth, she needs more training in greeting and people skills. The entire first floor smelled of bleach, including the bed sheets- I worried a lot about inhaling the fumes, and I even have some kind of rash today. The headboards and anything made of fake leather was cracking and peeling, so the decor already looks worn and outdated. The sheets are pilling and very rough. It makes me sad when corporations cheat customers in order to save a few bucks. Shame, I can not recommend this property to friends and family when they visit.

DO NOT go to this hotel!!!!! I bought two rooms from here earlier any month and have the receipts for them, but when I got there, they charged me for it again. I am still waiting to get my reimbursement and I still have not gotten my two sets of $175 ($350 total) back for having my rooms all clean. it has been a total mess going through this place. They would mess with my checking account showing where there was payments from early month and then there wasn t and then it was doing on different days. It was a big mess so praise the Lord. I took pictures of them when I made the payments back earlier in the month. DO NOT go here or you will be screwed over!

So there s nothing worse than your air conditioner going out on a Sunday night, in July, in Texas. Well maybe there are some things, but this is a pretty sucky situation. Add to it one wife recovering from surgery, and one elderly, diabetic dog and you ve got a recipe for disaster. Last Sunday night, this was our household, but La Quinta in Wylie was there for us and our furry friends! We were able to get a king size accessible room at 10p on Sunday night for a very reasonable price, in a dog friendly room! The pet fee is reasonable, the room was spacious and clean for a pet friendly room. There were a few minor issues with the room such as the back of the remote control missing, the headboard was a bit worn, and the door to the room was open when we got there, but after that, the rest of the night was nice and cool, which was just what we were looking for. The breakfast in the morning had scrambled eggs and sausage links. There were grassy areas for our pets, and lots of pets on the premises. The staff was friendly and we were able to check out and return home to a working AC in the morning. This was our first stay at this La Quinta, but we will be back and will feel comfortable recommending to out of town guests in the future! Nearby activities: This is a great location! It s near parks, dining, grocery stores, etc. Wylie, Murphy, Sachse easily accessible from this location and just a 30 minute drive from Dallas.

Front desk staff was friendly but entire hotel smells bad. Tv in room didn t work, bathroom door wouldn t shut and bed was hard as a rock. I know this isn t the Hilton but low expectations weren t met. Staff tried to fix the tv but couldn t. It was late and we didn t want to switch rooms. Nice enough people but not a good hotel.

I booked this hotel for personal and business reasons. Upon check in, I was made to wait in line about 15mins whilst the front desk attendant spoke to someone on the phone. She had another guest in front of me and instead of wrapping up the check in with the guest, she took every call and stayed for long periods on the phone. She could have simply placed the call on hold or request a call back, especially after realizing the calls were lengthy and guests were waiting in line to check in. Secondly, I was given key cards twice for other peoples rooms. The third time I asked the front desk person to escort me to the third room in case it was occupied. That is a security risk. Lastly, be very aware, this hotel is rampant with bed bugs. I woke up the next day with lots of bites and itching. I would never stay here again. You shouldnt either. Dont let the price fool you.

The beds were horrible. Woke up every morning with a cramped back, this was two different rooms. Although we had no problems with checking in or out, we watched a couple arrive early in the morning after driving all night. The lady was pregnant and the clerk explained the hotel had sold their room to someone else. The clerk was not able to accommodate them due to the rooms being sold out. We watched the couple sit in the lobby most of the day. I dont know what good, is a reservation, if the hotel cannot honor it. The food was not good and gave us stomach aches. I traveled for work for some years and renovated hotels. I have traveled and found a lot cheaper hotels were more comfortable, more hospitable, and had better food. La Quinta usually is a good place to stay , but not this one in Wylie, TX. Rooms: Uncomfortable.

Price Gouging and Bait and Switch! Called to make sure they had power due to the recent storm and was told they just got it back on and that rooms were $104 a night. We said we would like to reserve and they said no need just come on in since they had a lot of rooms available. When we got here the rooms were now almost $200 a night. We had no other option since other hotels were sold out due to almost 15,000 people being without power. This is disgusting behavior. Will not recommend this place.

I observed two hotel employees along with another lady sitting in the lounge area, drinking coffee. This would have been a minor issue if not for the fact that these employees were not actively working. As a guest, I expect the staff to be attentive and professional during breakfast hours to ensure all needs are met efficiently. It was disappointing to see these staff members, one of whom was identified as Belen, neglecting their duties and presenting an unprofessional image of the hotel. Secondly, there was a power outage on the same morning, which significantly disrupted my stay. The power outage caused inconvenience, affecting not only the comfort of the stay but also my planned activities for the day. While I understand that power outages can occur unexpectedly, I was concerned by the lack of communication and assistance provided to guests during this time.

If I were to rate the hotel rooms by them selves I would give a 5. The lower rate is because of the breakfast. The food was reheated and served again and again. The gravy was gray! The waffles were fresh because you make them yourself. Wish the batter was not vanilla flavored and just plain waffle batter. There was no fresh fruit, or any fruit for that matter. Staff was friendly.

Rundown property, the elevator and halls have an awful smell. Rooms are worn down (dirty carpet, torn couch). Service lacks major attention to detail and customer service. House keeping didn t finish refreshing my room and also took the tv remote, and when I called the front desk asking for more toiletries that had not been replaced the answer was you can come and get it there are also non guest hanging out at the lobby. I normally book at la quinta Inn so I always know what to expect. This one was no different. The room was nice and the staff was ok. The time on breakfast was a little shorter than most locations but I made it work. It was also within the area of the event I was fighting at. All in all a very good trip and I will always recommend this chain. As long as you stay at the remodeled or newer locations

Only reason I didnt give a 5 star was because breakfast was TERRIBLE. We got a few expired items an didnt notice until our daughter said yall know this been expired some months right? And that we didnt have alot of options had to leave an get food. But the room was CLEAN, bathroom as well, we loved that because some luxury hotels sometimes have slightly dirty rooms of bathrooms. First impression the lady at the desk didnt look up from her phone to greet me, not as I entered nor as I approached to check in. I actually told her hello first, & then she didnt even respond or greet me at all until after she first answered the phone that started ringing after I was standing there; not good customer service or human relations. The person calling was obviously asking about items for sale in the hotel store, to which she came across very curt with them over the phone; also not cool. As for the room itself, it looked nice, the AC blew cold, & we were happy there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom at least. Unfortunately though, the shower water pressure was dismal, the bed was hard, & the pillows were thin & hard as rocks as well, which did not allow for a comfortable nights sleep. Cant say wed stay here again.

The venue is easily accessible in Wylie, TX, everything needed is in close proximity. There is even a hospital and emergency room next door. The building and landscaping were lovely, plenty of parking and easy walk-in, no steps. Entryway, breakfast area, room, building were all clean and welcoming. There was nothing broken in the room, it was perfect. Very reasonable pricing for a standard two-bed Queen room. I enjoyed the variety of food at breakfast, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sweet rolls, muffins, waffles and coffee in the lobby (de-caf and caffienated) 24 hrs. Elevator worked great, this is a 4-story building. We never experienced any long waits for the elevator. Room was very quiet, no trouble sleeping at all.

This is such an amazing place to stay. Perfectly locatied. Super family friendly. The entire staff are so kind and helpful. Everyone always has a smile on their faces. Anytime Im in town this is where we stay. Super clean and the rooms look absolutely amazing. The bathroom has the best shower and dont get me started on the mirror with the built in light. The fantastic gentleman and the absolutely amazing Dayanna at the front desk are top notch. The friendly service they provide is by far the best I have experienced. My little girl absolutely loved them so much that we had to stop by the desk to say hello to them whenever we had a chance. The pool is also amazing. I also have to mention the beautiful lobby. I have never been more pleased with a hotel. If you are looking for a super family friendly clean place to stay this is definitely it. I cant recommend this place enough.

This hotel is nice. But the front desk lady from 3-11 is terrible. RUDE!! If you have kids and like to enjoy being outside after hours, she will drive by with her lights off in an attempt to get you to be quiet. Nearly hit our kids and then the following night laughs about it. If this establishment would get rid of this person who is the first face you see when checking in, it would get 4 stars from me. I was here for a company meeting. We were booked into the Deluxe King Suite. Beautiful, clean room. Loved the roomy shower! Bed so comfortable. like a baby. The staff was great. The facility was clean and was located perfectly for my need. If need be, there is a medical facility next door. A great variety of restaurants are near by. I initially chose the La Quinta because they had an award winning high/positive rating. Provided breakfast options were adequate, however although breakfast sausages were good, adding bacon in a rotation would be great. The same breakfast offering for 5 days in a row. Updated review & left original review below. Insurance was taking care of our room, leaving a card for incidentals is whatever, but not even 3 days in we got charged $1000 on accident. Dont stay at the end by the stairs no one knows how to close a door softly and its metal on metal slamming all night. Which makes the dogs jump up and bark at the door, waking up the kids several times throughout the night. If anyone smokes cigarettes or weed you get the draft up the stairwell. Breakfast is what it is, will be two types of sausage, powdered reconstituted eggs, freezer-burned biscuits, and potatoes that are never fully warmed (everyday including weekend)....... the gravy was the saving grace. Still thankful they allowed us to get two rooms to have 3 dogs, except the comment that we werent using 1 room. We left and found an Airbnb for the month while our house is repaired. Original review: Very thankful for this hotel, besides temporary housing while our house is being fixed, they allowed larger dogs. Without asking they gave us a corner / end room so we had access to the stairs. Two dog areas with plenty of area to walk your dogs!

Clean, spacious rooms with higher end furniture. The bathroom has a futuristic feel sporting a large, glass shower and a large mirror with a 4 inch frame that is actually a vanity light that turns on by pushing a little lit up button in the middle of the mirror. They even fancy folded some wash clothes and tissues to complete the effect. The Bed was comfy and the noise from other guests was muffled enough that you barely notice they exist. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Requested accessible room for my mothers safety and comfort. Room 310 was dark, needs better lighting. King suite non smoking was horrible. Sofa bed smelled like pee, had dog hair all over. The double bed rooms would have be a better choice, I regret. At 11 a house keeper knocked and entered without my consent, told her il be out in a short moment. 15mins later same house keeper and the receptionist (pregnant and so ignorant)came knocking loud and opened the door yelling its time to go! I So shockingly disrespectful, I did leave as planned. I walked to the reception to check out and Sked her if she could consider using a telephone to call the guest instead of that approach she did repeat to my face that its check out time and thats how they do it. I have stayed here couple times, I see they are a team and once one shoes disrespect, the leader too having showed me thats how they do it means its time to say good by to ever staying here. The hotel was a $%*# pit. First room smelled so bad of cigarette smoke we couldn t breathe (it s a non-smoking hotel) that we had to switch rooms, 2nd room reeked of mold. There was no remote to the TV, front desk found one sitting around but it only turned it on, couldn t change channels or control the volume. Kleenex box was empty on our arrival so what else did they not clean? The seat to the exercise cycle in the gym was not bolted onto the machine or had broken at some point and it fell off while I was on it. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms beside you and above you. This hotel has just plummeted in one year since I visited last. Sad.

Booked our hotel with this La Quinta to travel with our family which includes a 7 month old. We called 5 days before check in to confirm if they offered a crib or if we should plan to bring our own. The lady we spoke with said yes we offer a crib and I am going to add it to your reservation so it will be in your room when you arrive when we got to the room after check-in the crib was not in there so I went to the front desk to ask for it. I was informed that there was only 1 for the whole hotel and that it was being used by another guest. I explained to the front desk attendant that we had called and it was reserved for us. He said no, it s with another guest. I asked him why it was not put on the reservation and how frustrating it was that we now had nowhere for our 7 month old to sleep. While speaking he constantly talked over me and got very rude and very loud. If we were told there was 1 for the hotel we would have brought our own but when she called the front desk made us so confident there would be no problem. We filed a complaint with Expedia, packed our bags and booked a room next door. I would highly suggest this management invests in more cribs and conflict resolution for the staff.

Room was clean. Broken security lock and toilet paper holder. Free breakfast was ok..not great but was available. 24 hr coffee station did not exist. Cost was reasonable..about 85 per night (Sunday to Wednesday) and booked directly with hotel last minute. The final day no one came to clean room and checked front desk and they said someone came but door was locked however someone was in room entire time and no one knocked. Front desk said housekeeping was gone for the day and to just put out trash in hallway and she would get so went to do that and a housekeeper showed up to clean room as I was doing this so they made it right. All and all it was an ok stay. Was in town for family business so room was just a place to have to sleep and stay while there. Not really sure about location for vacationers but it is close to restaurants and grocery and about 35 miles from DFW

1st stay cation, due to a water leak at home. Fairly new hotel in Wylie. Since we are a Wyndham Rewards member, and Wyndham Margaritaville owner, I expect a lot. Rooms are spacious, nice decor, beds good, plenty of pillows, air is cold, and has a microwave, and mini-fridge. This hotel is pet friendly too. In our room, carpet square torn, and shower had mold on caulking at the bottom. Hallway outside of the elevator door is stained. A great hotel to stay. But, cleaning the stains, repair of carpet, and recaulking the shower would not take much. $20 per day pet deposit helps offset the cost, and if done routinely.

The night clerk was so nice. I was very impressed with the pool being handicap accessible. The ramp was something I hadnt seen before. Easy for me being disabled to actually get in the pool. Day clerk wasnt as friendly. Was disappointed in the fact there wasnt a tub, only a shower with a shower head that wasnt as good as my $17.99 head at home. Nice breakfast

This hotel was disappointing, which is a shame as I ve always had good luck with this brand. Soap dish was ripped off the wall, toilet paper holder was broken. (When we told the front desk, their response was we know but no one mentioned it when we checked in). Elevator was very close to our room and I underestimated other peoples ability to be courteous and quiet in the hallways. The elevator smelled of burnt rubber. A dog was barking randomly for several hours one evening. On a positive note, we had hot water and plenty of nice towels. According to some of the reviews, that is something to be grateful for.

When I come into town, I always stay at this hotel because of the rooms and friendly staff. However, this weekend my opinion of this particular hotel. I have never experienced such poor customer service. First of all, I stood there waiting for assistance to check in for almost 10 minutes. There were two ladies at the front desk but neither of them even said hello or acknowledge me. However, a current customer was able to skip me and bypass the line and received immediate assistance and even still I received no assistance. I finally had enough and approached the desk closer and let them know I wanted to check in. There was no hello ma am how can I help you just okay let me see your card and ID. I provided those to her and the other lady approached me to let me know the extra towels I requested was going to have to be requested with house cleaning. She proceeded to ask what else did I need (meanwhile she could ve just looked at my reservation before asking) and I let her know extra pillows. She pretty much shoved them into my hands and I nicely placed them in the chair because I had enough of her attitude. I proceeded to let the young lady know I wanted to reduce my reservation to just one night because I was over the foolishness. She let the other lady know who I later found out was the assistant manager Diana (such a great representation of your company). Diana rudely told me because I m just telling them at the last minute of the change, it would take a couple of days for me to receive a refund and I kindly responded well I didn t know that the customer service was going to be so poor . She showed no remorse for her tone or attitude and should not be allowed to speak with customers in such a negative manner. She needs to be provided some professionalism re-education because she is apart of the hospitality field but doesn t know how to show hospitality. I was told the general manager would be informed on Sunday and would give me a call in regards to this matter. However, that did not occur. I guess this is ho they treat their customers. Needless to say, I will never stay here again.

I used to stay there a few times and everything was great outside of the water pressure for the shower. I came back after a year and it s declined. The room carpet smelled like dog urine.
