This course is becoming the Duck Creek of Wylie. Dry and cracked fairways. Uneven tee boxes made of tx clay so its impossible to get your tee in. Lots of debris. Bunkers are not kept. Ball washers smell like ass. The top dressing on the greens has pebbles in it. On top of all that, they charge you a cart fee regardless if youre walking. Its sad. It used to be a great course.

Unfortunately our round was ruined by being harassed by the Marshall the whole time while we played the front 9. The guy Brett told us speed up after we let a single and double play around us (costing us 16 minutes of play) which put us 12 minutes behind the estimated play time. He proceeds to meet up with us 3x making us slower than we already are seeing as we have 2 guys who are rookies (first year playing). We finished our round with bathroom stops and grabbing some powerades from the cart girl, in 4 hours 17 minutes. Which I dont feel is not bad considering we had 2 guys who arent avid golfers yet. It left a bad taste in their mouths and they said they would more than likely not return to the establishment either. Which is a shame because we did like the course. The rest of the course was good. The service was just ok . More than likely will not be bringing our group back. If you play here be ready to feel like you are rushed and running the whole time.

Played on a Sunday in late August 2024. First, let me state, I am quite happy with the amount of work that has gone into renovating the clubhouse and making some good investments in the course by removing trees and other hole changes. The services provided by the restaurant and cart staff are very good. That being said, I am leaving a 3-start review based on my experience today. To start off, we pay a premium to play on Weekends and expect more because of it. Our round was 5 hours today, not meeting expectation. And this was with Marshalls out on the course. I recommend you change the tee time spacing on the weekends to 10 minutes. This works great at other public courses like Mesquite Golf Club and most of the Dallas public courses. For the premium rate we deserve that. While much work has gone into the course, there are still several issues like large cracks in the fairways where balls can collect. Also, most of the greens look great, but they are the slowest Ive played in the past 6 months. I get it! You are trying to preserve the greens during the hottest weather. There has to be a better balance. I think my grass in front of my house is faster for putting. There is still a ton of debris around the course like tree stumps and branches. It would seem easy to hire a company to come an clean up.

Horrible. Poor customer service. I am a member. Me and my 4 guests were treated like we did something wrong for wanting to order food and nearly 30min in they sent a different waitress to take our order. We later learned after i went to find a waitress, that our initial waitress had a emotional meltdown tears and trembling and never returned to get our food order. My guests left, as we never got food after waiting an hour and being made to feel UNWELCOMED. In fact, we were accused of having the issue when all we did was ask if someone was going to take our food order. This also happened in 2022 when I had 10 guests. This immature and poorly trained staff create issues. The management does NOT receive feedback and lack professionalism. Savannah, asst Mgr (?) is horrible, immature and acted like she was being attacked she called security because she felt mocked. Oh that security was a Black guy from the kitchen. Then she called the Asst GM Jackie via phone, but didnt tell her the truth. She then called Dan for security, another non-manager. They have horrible customer service and if you are Black you are blamed as the issue. They recieve feedback as aggression instead of handling the issue. I asked who owned it and she said Mr Galloway, he is the GM. Awful!!!!! Less than 1 star. I am ready to cancel my membership.

You must do better if you want Woodbridge to be a premier golf course. 14th hole has weeds for trees, not appealing to the eyes. Been like that every time I come out. So far from the clubhouse that a course manager probably never sees it. Cant imagine its there to keep balls from entering the creek. Other holes along the course seems fine.

Woodbridge Golf Club beckons enthusiasts with promises of challenging play and lovely scenery. And while the course itself certainly lives up to its reputation, there are a few discrepancies with the management that are worth mentioning. Its clear that Woodbridge takes pride in maintaining a top-notch playing experience. The layout offers a perfect balance of difficulty and enjoyment with undulating greens that satisfy even the most seasoned golfers. However, its worth noting that there have been some discrepancies with the management of the course. While the staff is friendly and accommodating, there have been occasional issues with pace of play and course maintenance. At times, it can feel like theres a lack of communication between management and players, leading to frustration and confusion on the course. Despite these minor hiccups, theres one aspect of Woodbridge Golf Club that consistently shines: the on-site restaurant; offering a diverse selection of dishes that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. Hearty burgers and fresh salads, every bite perfectly complements the days play.

This place is professionally run, and the service from everyone was excellent, and they didnt even mind me being a joker at times. The greens and the Fairways are fair, and the food in the restaurant? Very very good. The brisket sandwich was on point, the pizza was freshly fired. You really cant go wrong. If you read someone complaining about this place, its probably because they complain about everything. Recommended for the non-snobby among us.

Canceled Player Development membership 1st week of Feb by going in person and completing form. Charges continued for Mar and came in and was told I needed to talk to Jackie. Left multiple voicemails, no response.... Charges continued in April.. again left multiple voicemails, no response so disputed on CC. May 1... charged again, so went in and explained to head pro and was told Jackie doesnt do voicemail and best to contact her via email. Head pro updated my cancellation in the system and sent email to Jackie and ccd me indicating my problem and I was needing a refund. As of today Jackie has yet to respond, so I replied to email she apparently doesnt do email either. Been playing at WB since the opened and development member for 15 years. Not sure what is going on with them, but apparently Jackie is part of the problem.

We finally were able to cancel our membership on 2/28/24 after being told that we had to be in person to cancel it. We were then told you have to give a 30 day notice. Our last draft for membership was to be on 3/1/24. Again on 4/1/24 more money was taken out of our account. No one seems to want to make this right. If you cancel, make sure you get alllllll the documentation possible so that they cannot give you the run around.

The course conditions were borderline unbearable during my Saturday afternoon round, with fairways riddled with dirt patches and weeds that made hitting shots difficult. Putting was also frustrating, as the greens were severely infected with poa annua. The slow pace of play only exacerbated the issues, leaving me disappointed overall with the poor maintenance and upkeep of the course. On a side note: I wish all golfers would be more mindful of pace of play, care for the course, and respect for other players. Getting excessively drunk and delaying play ruins the experience for those who take the game seriously. We should aim to keep a good pace, take care of the course, and allow others to play through when needed. This maintains an enjoyable environment for golfers of all skill levels.

UPDATE: The old greenskeeper has been fired and the new one has made an amazing difference. The greens have come a long way. They still need work but they are much better. They are now putting decomposed granite as walkways up to the tee boxes. Muddy spots along the cart paths have been filled with white gravel. A ton of dead and overgrown trees have been cut way back. This has allowed the sun to hit areas that were always muddy and dead. I have made a point of telling the proshop about this improvement. This course use to be great but their greens are gone. They let them get frost damage and now at least half of them are more dirt than grass when you do get grass its often Poa Anna and the ball wont hold a line. $75 a round is way too much for the conditions of the course. The clubhouse and practice facilities are great but the greens are trash. Its sad because I use to plat here almost every week but not anymore not until the greens are repaired. Dont waste your money.

Woodbridge Golf Club offers a decent golfing experience, but its lacking in several aspects. The course layout is interesting, but the condition of the fairways and greens is inconsistent. With improvements in maintenance and facilities, it could be a better golfing destination.

Felt like hitting from the rough on every tee box. How can you putt when greens are covered in poa annua??? I held out for two seasons on this review. I held hope that the course and staff would turn it around. After tonight it solidified my thoughts on the course. The greens are diseased but kind of recovering slowly. If you like putting on the moon this course is for you. The tee boxes are also diseased. They hardly watered the course this past summer. So you lose balls in deep cracks in the fairways. Now the prices and rules flip flop especially on obscure calendar holidays. There are up charges on any day that the calendar has bold labels. Christmas up charge, but also blood moon up charged too and so on. Waterview, Firewheel, Pecan Hallow, and buffalo creek are all within a short distance of this course and all have either better course conditions, better service, nicer accommodations and nicer staff or all of the above. Try one of those and save your money. Woodbridge is worth avoiding.

I am only a 2-year member so far and am very happy I joined. Prices$$ are outstanding!! I am super happy the owners are choosing to privately run it and NOT use a golf mgmt. company. The golf course is a little nicer than before, but management is terrible. We played a round of golf there on July 7th (Friday), and my car was hit by another car/truck while I was playing. I reported this to the club but Jackie Galloway, the Assistant GM, was not there to assist me. I got her card and sent her an email on July 10th, the following Monday, with pictures of my damaged car. The club house has a security camera that is pointed in the direction of where my car was parked. I asked if she could look at the security camera vidoes to see which car/truck hit my car so I could file a claim with the responsible party for over $2K in damaged to my car. She responded on July 15th to apologize and that she would look into the security footage. I have called 6 more times since and emailed her 3 more times without a single peep. Its now August 17th with no response. Im sure she would be jumping all over those security camera feeds if it were her car that got damaged. It just shows the lack of care she has for her customers. Shes a part of management but doesnt care about her customer experience. Over $2K in damage Im responsible because she cant find the time to just check her security camera to help her own customer. Just terrible customer service. Jackie Galloway is the only reason I will not return and will let everyone golfer I know of how she treats her guest which is terrible at best.

Id encourage everyone to sort the reviews with the newest first, and then pay attention to how people have recently rated this course since the ownership changed. You can take a look at all of my Google reviews and see that Im not someone that usually leaves a negative review - my reviews are almost all positive. Read on if youd like the drawn-out details! My 14 year old son has had the PLP membership for 2 years. In that time, the price increased twice and went from $36.81 to $63.87. During that same timeframe, the course conditions have deteriorated. When we play, there are always a few greens in awful condition. At the range, you almost always have to hit off mats. Im not a golfer, but my husband and son say that hitting off mats is not ideal. Six times this year, Ive taken my son to play on a weekday afternoon during the PLP access time and we have always been charged $16.24. When we went in July, we were charged $37.89. When I questioned the change, I was told that since I was driving the cart, there was an additional fee. Keep in mind my kid is 14 and isnt allowed to drive a cart. So for adults with a PLP membership, you will be charged $16.24 during the access time and that will include a cart. For juniors, you either have to walk (in 105+ heat - the special access time doesnt include the cooler mornings), or pay extra to have a chauffeur. When we go they arent ever busy so it isnt a matter of being short on carts. On that day in July, my son was in a group by himself. Not many people want to play when its that hot outside. When I messaged to find out why this has changed and why we are seemingly penalized for having a junior golfer, I was told, among other things, that parents are penalized all the time because kids are too young to do things for themselves. The conversation ended when they canceled our membership, effective immediately. Ill admit things can become lost in translation through messaging, but customer service in general seems to be a lost art at Woodbridge in the past couple of years. If you have a junior golfer, I highly encourage you to look into the Youth On Course membership. For $20/year, your youth can play at numerous junior friendly local courses for $5. My teen can get an early morning tee time at Firewheel (5 miles from Woodbridge) and walk the course for $5 - I dont mind him walking when it is early and isnt 105+. Also check out Pecan Hollows short course ($5) and range for a good practice facility thats only 6 miles from Woodbridge.

Played on 7/28/23, I wouldnt leave a bad review if their course fee was aligned with the condition of the course. But that is not the case. I was charged $55 for 9 holes (after 5pm). All the fairways are dead, most tee boxes are so hard and dead you cant pull a tee in them, and the greens are hard and patchy. Recommend passing until management gets the course in better shape or reduces prices.

Unfortunately, the reviews of the downfall of the course conditions are correct. I played Woodbridge in early June, and the condition of the greens were improving. It was obvious that work was being done in June to improve the conditions of the greens, as there were multiple greens that had large sections with new grass. Since then, the condition of the greens have decreased dramatically. Today, I saw that large patches of every green have died, and you re left putting through dirt. So many courses in the area have had issues with bad greens due to the winter freeze, but this course has lagged far behind others. The ONLY reason for the 2nd star is the service in the clubhouse, cart service and bar/restaurant. Maybe next year the condition will be better.

A group in the fairway and a group at the tbox. Pulled the cart under a tree and waited about 15 minutes before we were able to T it up on the 5th. Worse at the 6th Tbox. One group in the box, one more group waiting for the box and us parked under a tree. I left the course before teeing it up on the 6th. Given the way the 5th and 6th hole were playing, my 10:40 round would have ended around 5:30 or 6.

It was a promising start when the new management took over . However it was gone way downhill since. The greens are in terrible condition with many of them having spray painted dirt. The tee boxes are like concrete and many of them barely have any grass on them. You would think that with these conditions they would not charge their loyal customers premium prices. (I ve been playing this course regularly for over 11 years). Instead they doubled down and INCREASED the price of their membership . They also formally gave the local first responders a discount. They no longer do this. I will be taking my money, loyalty, and membership to Waterview where both the customer, and their course is taken care of.

The greens are in terrible shape again! What s worse is the course will not tell you. The only warning about the condition of the greens was provided by the starter when he said the practice green is the green on the course . We started on #10 and immediately realized what the starter meant. ====================================================== BELOW IS MY REVIEW FROM A FEW MONTHS AGO: Improvements to greens and bunkers are really good. Front 9 took 2:55 due to: 8 minute Tee Time interval; then #2 is par 3 which backs up quickly, often with 3 groups on the hole; #5 is another par 3 with backup. #7 had 3 groups waiting. After waiting on most holes, the marshals then rushed our group from holes 9 - 12. We played the back in 2:12. Woodbridge should consider increasing the the interval to at least 10 minutes. Restaurant is also very nice!

Played Woodbridge on Tuesday the 21st and had a great time on a beautiful day. I liked the changes made by their new management! The course is gonna be great this spring when all the grass and trees turn green. But my highlight of the day was the newly remodeled clubhouse. It s awesome and the food and drinks were very good after the round with excellent service!! Jackie was so kind and informational about the new setup. The peanut chocolate chip ice cream was a blast. And the server was so kind and attentive. I ll be playing a lot this spring and summer and days to com at Woodbridge Golf Club.

Everyone check your bill. As many of us did, I joined the Woodbridge golf club social membership and 5 day golf membership. I heard through the grapevine in December that the price for the 2 memberships would go from $950 in 2022 to $1450 in 2023. I went to the clubhouse in December and the team at the pro shop confirmed. $600 for the social membership, a 100% increase from the $300 I paid when I joined and $850 for the golf membership up from $650 last year a 24% increase. I immediately told the staff that I would not be rejoining this year. They said Ok we understand. When reviewing my Amex bill for January, I noticed the WB charged me $973.13. This is the $850 for golf and $50 for social for January plus tax. I immediately reached out to the club and after talking to several people I was told that I needed to cancel my membership in writing 30 days in advance. Eventually the manager Gary agreed to refund a portion of my money but it was not easy to convince him and they kept a significant portion of the money they charged me even though I have not set foot in the club in 2023. I never received any notification from WB that these membership prices were increasing. I ve been a member of the club since 2011. This is so disappointing to be treated this way.

The value is great. I wish they offered the kids club service throughout the week not just Thurs thru Sunday. Theyve been bringing in some specials. The shrimp and grits are awesome. ***One thing I keep hearing people requesting is they try to keep the red wine served at the proper temperature. In most cases its always warm as its been sitting next to a refrigerator.

New Restaurant aesthetically is mint. However the service and food leave a lot to imagination. Cook burned a hot dog and burger and wrong cheese and condiments added (although the printed order was correct). Fries were ridiculously overseasoned. Its like the cook has no business being there. Server took 10 minutes get drinks after order and eventually went to bar and grabbed ourselves. Didnt bring napkins or utensils for meal. Whomever is running the f and b side needs to get their act in gear because not a good start for a brand new clubhouse and ownership. Course is amazing and new clubhouse is beautiful. Get the food and staff in restaurant figured out!

Course remodel has made the course much more playable and definitely speeded up the pace of play. Remodel of the clubhouse is still a work in progress but the temporary setup is pretty good. Greens are fast and true but by no means easy. Good putts will be rewarded. Looking forward to the 2022 season. UPDATE: Clubhouse remodel is complete and awesome. New restaurant menu now makes this a neighborhood go-to for dining. The social membership makes it an even better deal. Neighborhood residents may never cook again! Course is in decent shape bet some tee boxes look like deserts rather than acceptable launch pads. Greens are decent but if they dont pay attention theyre going to have some issues.

I am updating this review and lowering my rating - this could have been a very serious situation if my wife had a nut allergy and they havent even acknowledged that theres an issue they need to resolve. This was our first visit. We started off with the nachos and they were very good. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with the mac and cheese - both were very good. My wife had the smoked chicken salad sandwich with the potato salad - unfortunately, both had pecans and she cant have nuts. The menu didnt mention that there were nuts in either item. While she isnt allergic to nuts, they do cause issues for her. Daniel and Gabby took care of it and they were GREAT servers.

Main reason for 3 stars is pricing of range balls. $14 for a large is on the high side compared to other clubs. Ball machine doesnt have a self serve credit/debit card option. Also didnt fully fill the basket. Should probably look into monthly membership as would be more cost effective in the long run. Facilities are much improved with the remodel. Hope to try the bar and grill soon.

More like 3.5 stars. Course is in decent shape. It definitely needs some love as the tee boxes, fairways and greens can be a little beat up. It plays a lot like a lower priced muni course. Beyond the Course, the facilities are definitely nice. The range is big with turf versus mats. Clubhouse is being updated. My only bad experience was when the guy in the clubhouse threw the cart key at me as I asked if I could take my own cart. I don t necessarily think he was being as rude as that sounds, but it would be better to show courtesy and hand the keys to your guests. I m willing to go back and give it another shot.

This used to be one of the most challenging courses in the area, but they removed bunkers and cut down trees. The reason I come here is that it isnt wide open like some of the other courses around. The changes might be good for some but not for others, as it makes the course more generic. Watters Creek is still the go-to for a tough first 9 hole test at a public course, and Stevens Park if you are down in Dallas. I have also had a problem with being overcharged, like others have posted here. Frankly, to see it listed as an issue so many times is unacceptable. I got charged the correct price after complaining both times, although one time I had to protest quite loudly. Now I see that I wasnt in isolation. New management, lots of people being overcharged. Coincidence? I will just stick to Watters and Heritage Ranch from now on.

Great course, overly wet on multiple holes and no rain in several days. Also, big red flag to pay attention to what you pay versus what the website lists. They overcharged 2 members of our group and when I brought it to their attention while I was paying they begrudgingly honored the published price.

The course is in decent shape. The only outlier right now is the current state of the bunkers. They are not playable right now. But it appears that they are working to get them playable again. The main clubhouse is still closed after major water damage due to a broken water line during the big freeze in February. I m told they are hoping to reopen it in October.

Beware of overcharge the staff has been trying ever since management changed a few months ago. For the last a year and a half, Ive been using MVP card which is usable after 9am on weekends. The black guy (called himself director) insists that the card is good after 10am every time I check in before 10 though it clearly says 9am on the card. Mistakes can be made, but I cant give him a benefit of doubt when I have to ask for correct green fee for virtually every weekend play. My advice to anyone who is willing to try this course is check out the rate and fees at their website before checking in as they are more than likely to trick you into a higher fee than you deserve.

This place, starter/marshal, GM are a joke. I played Friday afternoon with a buddy. We are both looking for a membership and wanted to see this course. The starter tells us its backed up at #1. When we hit 8 the starter now marshal tells us were the problem and theres only two of us. Now we will pickup if thats the case, so we did. However, we get to #8 and the 4some in front of us just left the tee box. I explained this to him at 10 as he tried to rush us along again with that same 4 some on the green now; we stopped to grab a bitetoeat. I called the GM to complain, but still zero response 4 days later, I guess he doesnt care. Food and beverage staff were great, but this poor experience has turned us off this course.
