This company is outstanding in every way. My husband and I purchased a 1990s home in Gholson and decided the windows needed replacing. We received a quote from RBA that made us fall instantly in love with our existing windows. Overnight we regrouped and were so fortunate to reach Jon Searles, the owner of Universal Windows Direct of Central Texas. Jon does everything that he says he will do, and more. He even offered to update the glass on existing doors--we had thought those eyesores would have to wait until we could get around to fully replacing the full door units. We are thrilled with our new windows from Universal Windows Direct, and are now able to fully enjoy the gorgeous scenery through them. Jon has a fantastic and professional crew. It was a pleasure to have them at our place and they did a great job with installation and instructing us on the operation of the new windows. Many thanks to Jon, Justin, Renee, Lalu, Osman, and Shane. Also, having done many home improvements at our last home, we have a lot of experience working with different companies. Universal Windows Direct has by far the best warranty out there. We intend to stay in this house, but would absolutely hire Jon and his crew for any future window needs.

Chris Harness, the sales representative, was very friendly and helpful in planning our window replacement. Jon Searles, the owner, and Angela in the office were very responsive to phone calls regarding scheduling and questions. My mother recently had new windows put in all around her home. The two gentlemen working the job went above and beyond than expected. They done far more than I would have expected, as far as cleaning, they picked up everything. They were very courteous and polite.They cleaned the windows. We had our windows installed by Universal Windows almost a year ago. At first they were very professional and respectful. After the job was finished, incorrectly and not how they said it would be done in the contract, Scott become unresponsive. The large window in our kitchen did not operate and open correctly, it was not installed how they stated it needed to be installed. The screen was not the right size and would fall out of the window. My wife tried to contact Scott to get it resolved, it was not until after she went and changed her review to a lower rating, that Scott Responded. Fast forward almost a year later, after multiple attempts and empty promises that they would replace the window, my wife left another review, this time on Angis list. The very next day We were contacted saying that our window just arrived and they would install it today 4/4/2023. After the new window was installed, it did not operate any better and the screen still does not fit. We asked the install team why this time it still wasnt installed correctly, the contract states that the sheetrock will need to be trimmed so the window wont bow and it will slide freely. That wasnt done, the install team agreed thats how it should be done, but it wasnt installed correctly. While the rest of our windows open freely, We can clearly feel a draft coming from at least 4 of them in the bedrooms. Our house was built in the 90s, its not that old and of better construction than most modern homes. My advice to anyone who deals business with this company is to have your contract in front of you every step of the way and dont make payment until everything is finished the way its stated in your contract. I had good faith up front, but now Im just disappointed. Being a business owner myself, I hate leaving negative reviews, I know issues happen and I know mistakes are made. But I truly believe that Scott and Universal Windows wont do this job right. IF something changes I will Edit this review. Edit to review. There is a new owner to this company, While he did make it right it eventually took 2 attempts and very long waits with little updates. They took care of the kitchen window, had to go with a different style because what they initially installed would not function properly when opening and closing the windows. T

My experience with this company has been top notch! I live in an old home, so I was especially hesitant to replace my original windows even though I know it needed to be done. Chris H., the salesman who came to my house, was so professional and answered my thousands of questions. He told me what products I would and would not be happy with. The installation was quick and clean, and the windows look SO much better than I ever could have anticipated. After the sale, I asked the best way to get the remaining glue off the inside of the windows, and Chris just came and did it! Everything was great initially .. estimate and installation .. communicated well and was very prompt. The windows look great and were exactly what I expected. Have a neighborhood cat (or something) claw the screen. Called for a price to have repaired and no one called back. Called again and was told a service guy would come look at it to let me know.. nothing. Called again and was told he was very sorry but they have a huge project going they were almost done with and as soon as they were done they would get with me . and again NOTHING!! Also was told if I gave a reference and they had a install I would receive a finders fee. Yea that didn t happen either. So initially all is great but I guess if they aren t receiving a huge amount of money from you then your are at the bottom of their priorities. If on the list at all Update.. nothing.. picked up screen and still nothing.. no communication unless I call and then I get the run around..

I called this company after receiving a few other bids for replacing the windows in my home. I was very impressed overall. Most companies now days are terrible to work with, due to long wait times, random agents in a call center and sometimes you have to call repeatedly to get anything scheduled. I didn t feel that way at all, nor did I have to wait weeks to get a quote. I didn t realize at the time but I was speaking to the owner every time I called. Mr. Davis is extremely nice and very understanding, due to some medical appointments on my end we played a few rounds of phone tag. He worked immediately to coordinate with me to have one of his sales associates come out and provide me with a free quote. As I mentioned I did have a few other quotes from other local companies as well. Some were significantly higher than others and inflation was used often in addressing the higher costs. Chris Harness was the salesman that came out to my home. I think we all have had our share of salesman who are just looking to make a sale and aren t really selling you exactly what you need. Chris was very professional, and wasn t like the previous sales associates I ve had to my home. What really stood out to me with Chris was the honest and genuine knowledge he had for the company and windows in general. Chris brought a window with him, which nobody else had. Which now seems very strange that the other salesman didn t bring a sample of a product they were trying to sell. With every question I had, he was more than happy to answer it. He took plenty of time going over the windows, the warranty of the windows and offered his suggestions as well. He gave me a quote and his information, there was never any pressure to buy or saying anything about buy now because prices are only going to increase like some of the others. Even after signing a contract, Chris went above and beyond to make some last minute changes on some windows styles. He was still as professional and friendly as the first consultation! I went with Universal Windows Direct because I honestly felt like a valued customer, which is hardly the case anymore with most places. Windows are a big investment, and I feel like I made a solid investment when I went with this company. I am grateful for Mr. Davis and his team. I cannot wait to have the windows installed and enjoy them!

We just ordered windows yesterday, but have been in contact with Chris H. {salesman} for a couple of weeks. He is the absolute best! We contracted Universal Windows to replace all of the windows in our house. They had submitted a competitive bid (we secured 3) and we had received a positive report from some friends of ours that had also used them to replace their windows. They arrived the first day a bit late (11 am) and a little short handed, but they managed to complete 5 of 14 windows by 5 pm. They arrived the next day around 8 am with a full crew and completed the remaining windows and were done and gone by 5:30 or 6:00 pm. They did a very good job on the installation and we are very pleased with their work! Note: We have spotted a little finger print smudge located on the inside of one of the windows (no access to clean) but Scott has assured me that if we decide we need it fixed, it will be taken care of.

I had most of the windows replaced at my familys log cabin several years ago by another company in town. Was ready to replace the remaining windows and called the original company to do the job. Learned the owner passed away and his widow suggested that I use Universal Windows. Called Scott and he came out to look at what I needed and was able to match the color of the other windows. in late summer of 2020 I contacted several companies for estimates on replacing all 24 windows on our home. Scott came out measured and immediately gave us an estimate. Other vendors followed later. We decided in April 2021 to move ahead with project, I called Scott he still had our estimate and honored the price. The next step was to have the technician that was going to install our windows come back and remeasure every window. We were told 4-6 weeks for windows to arrive from factory. Windows arrived as promised. The crew did a great job completely removing our old windows and installing the new windows. The new windows fit perfectly, no foam filler or plastic trim to fill gaps needed. The crew did a great job keeping everything neat and clean and protecting floors and furniture. I highly recommend this company. if you are looking for a great window with quality installation at a fair price, this is your company.

The owner, Scott, came to the house to give us our initial quote and get our contract set up. He was excellent and very responsive--even gave me his number so I could call or text him with any questions throughout the process. He was incredibly knowledgeable about windows and very thorough. WOW! An all around fabulous experience! Scott truly goes above and beyond in responsiveness, service, and follow up ~ his communication is excellent! Joe and Joe completed installation. They are professional, courteous, fast and thorough workers. Theyre also very clean, making sure furniture and floors are covered during installation and vacuuming up after they complete a room. They also cleaned the outside workspace they used ~ taking with them all of the debris and packaging left by the new windows. We had all of our windows replaced with brand new dual pane vinyl windows and they completed the job in one day. There was an immediate benefit; our old dual pane aluminum windows sweat terribly and were lined with mold and caused high humidity in our home. We had a cold front come in after installation and the windows were not even cold to the touch and our home was markedly warmer! Amazing, amazing, amazing! Were so very pleased! Being at Lake Limestone, we often struggle with getting work done, but Scott was more than willing to come out and give us a quote. We lucked up and got measurements the same day and in a matter of a few weeks, the windows arrived. We are pleased with every aspect of Universal Windows. We had all our windows and porch door from a 1965 home replaced. We noticed an immediate difference. We had been in the market for windows for a few years, we had looked into other companies that offered window services but it was the reviews that i read from past customers of Universal Windows that caught my eye. I was not disappointed, dealing with Scott was easy and he explained their products that they had very thoroughly and did not pressure us and was very understanding when we needed to make some payment changes. i liked that Don kept contact with me about scheduling and when the original date needed to be pushed back i realize some projects may not go smoothly and issues can arise but i appreciate i was kept in the loop. Joe and James were very hard working installers, they showed up and got right work, they were very friendly and enjoyed talking with them. I was going to do my own trim work around my new windows and Joe knows his woodwork and gave me a lot of helpful tips that would make my work a little easier and make it look nicer. Love my new windows! This company is fantastic. We first had 6 windows replaced by a different company that is ranked high in the window business. They were extremely expensive and they weren t all they were made out to be. The installers had to come back and fix two windows that were not square. And one window had defects. The salesman had assured us that their installers work only for them and thus perform high quality work. This was not the case. But Universal Windows Direct has been a joy to work with. The windows are good quality and didn t cost us an arm and a leg like the other company. Actually we can t find a reason why the first windows cost so much!!! The Universal Windows are just as good but less than half the cost of the other windows. Scott Davis is a great salesman. I never felt like he was pushing us for anything!! I liked that. He was very conscientious about the job and came during the day to check on everything. The installers he uses are also great. Joe & James are a wonderful team and they do a fantastic job. We had appointments with Anderson Windows OMG $30,000+ for windows not nearly as nice as Universal Windows, Lowes no words to describe the disparity in quality and service, Home Depot expensive very expensive install and much inferior quality...needless to say we highly recommend Universal for quality, customer service, cost, and a job very well done. Scott was great to work with from the estimate to the finished product! The installer was also great--they even work through a rain storm. They were very careful to cover the areas around the windows and clean up after each window installation. We were very pleased.

We are very pleased with our new windows. Scott is personable and knowledgeable of his product. The installers, Joe and James, were exceptional and highly professional. They were very hard working and put in two long days. They picked up everything and left the entire yard and flowerbeds neat. We highly recommend this company.

We have lived in our house for 15 years and had been replacing panes constantly over the last five years because the seals on the windows kept failing one by one. We talked with and got quotes from 4 vendors here in Waco. We chose UW because we loved the design of their windows, the great warranty, and Scott was very knowledgeable. We had such a pleasant experience with replacing our windows. The staff and installers with Universal Windows were transparent, friendly, professional and kind! They replaced all the windows in our home in 1 day and were patient with our house full of toddlers as well. We cant wait to see our electric bill and the savings we can already feel in our home.

Great windows, great service ! 17 windows removed and replaced in one day . Installers were terrific ! Know what they are doing and clean up after themselves. If you are thinking of new windows, look no more, you cant top Universal windows direct !
