Let me preface this by saying, Ive only ever stayed at the large lodges here. My family has had our family reunions here for over 20 years! While the buildings are outdated and not luxurious, its the perfect setting to gather 30-40 people for a weekend. The commercial kitchen is perfect for feeding large groups of people, and theres lots of activities for everyone to do! The staff are always friendly and very responsive to our needs. And each year weve noticed them making improvements to the property! This place holds a special meaning for us & I hope to continue visiting for years to come!

We had such an incredible time at 7A Ranch. We stayed in Cantina Cabin 4 and it was perfect for our group of 3. Beautiful property, the staff we chatted with were super friendly, Pioneer Town was so fun to walk through, and its just a quick drive to Wimberly Square. Absolutely would recommend and cant wait to come back!

This is a wonderful place hidden in the magical Wimberley valley along the Blanco river. The Pioneer town offers a classic western vibe, the staff is kind and friendly, and the river access serves as a reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds this region, which we must all appreciate and do our part to protect. Walkability: The town is just the right size for one to walk around to visit all the local shops, nature trail, and restaurants.

I was extremely disappointed in our room at the Pioneer Inn for the price. The rooms need serious updates, were very noisy, were not well equipped for the space, and the linens were very old and overused. I sent an email to the staff about our experience and was told that it would be shared with management and I have not heard back it. They must not care about their guests feedback or satisfaction. Do not stay at the Inn.

We absolutely love this place. If you are looking for a spot to throw a party or host really any type of event they have you covered. Also a great spot for a gals night out or a romantic night with a honey. Several different options and spaces to meet any needs one might have. Andrew the sales and events manager is absolutely fantastic and goes above and beyond. I threw my father a birthday party at the opera house and it was a slam dunk. Andrew was accommodating and patient and I just could not have asked for anything more. The location itself is great, it s not too far and food and shopping is super close by. Obviously wimberley is stunning and the river is right across the way. Every cabin has a beautiful view of the water, the staff is super chill and the whole vibe is right. Looking forward to our next party for the kiddos! Can t say enough! Noteworthy details: Great staff, arcade room for the kids, pool, cabins have water front views, super clean and accommodating

We love 7a ranch We stayed here a couple nights in megs boarding house and it was simple, clean, and charming. We had a minor issue with the fridge in the room, and when we told to front office, they apologized and had the issue fixed within minutes Very happy with our stay. 7a Ranch is just a couple minutes from the village square, and heb! Plenty of area to walk around and breath in the trees. We walked down by the river and it was beautiful, just avoid the sad/heartbroken goose. He will charge at you if you try to pet him, just best to let him be Being able to wake up and walk down to the river, or to the cowboy ghost town, was an awesome experience.

I went there as a little girl almost 70 years ago. Then when our daughter was growing up about 50 years ago we took her. So this time around we all went taking our youngest grandson. So that makes 3 generations going to 7A Guest Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. It has changed but yet the Pioneer Town is still there & looks the same. Since the 2015 flood that destroyed some of the cabins theyve built some beautiful 2 story houses up higher. The office staff were very friendly. We had a wonderful family time together. The Wimberley Cafe in town had great food. I had their Sweet Hot Mess hamburger & it was delicious. It had an jalapeno ranch dressing & it was wonderful. For breakfast I had a couple of their breakfast tacos & oh my goodness...eggs...cheese...bacon & sliced avocados. I will definitely be putting avocados on my homemade breakfast tacos now.

We booked the Cactus lodge to celebrate my moms 80th birthday. Sept 16-19. However our family is really big, so we also had the Oak house (piano was a hit!) Cabins 2 and 3, and the Hideaway!!! Everything was perfect from start to finish. I must have called a dozen times beforehand because I had to plan from Colorado.... and each time, no matter who answered, they were fantastic, patient, so helpful!! The rooms were all very clean and comfortable! So many places to hang out and visit. They didnt nitpick us about anything and we decorated the snot out of that place lol. The pool was great, the bartender, the maintenance crew... cant sing their praises enough. Added a ton of pics, coz it really helped me when I was planning. Thank you 7a!!! We loved our time! Prices are super reasonable too!!! Oh and they recommended Kellys BBQ for catering and oh so yummy!!! Sincerely, Tammi

My company does a trip every year and this year we discovered 7A and decided to give it a try. I had a million questions for them while planning the trip itself and I was always greeted by SUPER nice and welcoming customer service on the other end of my many phone calls. When the day finally arrived, they made it effortless for me to get the rest of the company (all 56 individuals!) checked in and into their designated spaces. I had an issue in the beginning that was entirely my fault and they were lightning quick to come to my rescue and remedy the situation. Long story short, we had a FANTASTIC time. All of the cabins were amazing, the lodge was perfect for the company to come together and eat and be able to mingle and get work off of our minds for a bit. We enjoyed live music at the cantina one night and had multiple days at the river kayaking, fishing and relaxing. We toured Pioneer Town and rode the train and took in the gorgeous views. We got on the courts and were able to play tennis, basketball and volleyball. If we needed anything, the staff acted immediately and made sure we were having the best time. If youre considering staying here, please let this be the last little push you need to book. The property is wonderful and what really needs to be bolded and underlined is that the staff are deserving of ten out of five stars because they take the definition of hospitality to ideal levels and far beyond. 7A, thank you SO MUCH for making this an amazingly memorable experience for my entire company and their families!

Fun place to stay and get away from it all. My girlfriends and I stayed for a long weekend in a Classic Cabin with a direct view to the Blanco River. The cabin was small, but thoughtfully put together with 3 queen beds, a small kitchenette, table with chairs and 2 great-working air conditioners inside, plus a large covered front porch with a large table and 6 chairs outside. We were able to set up a canopy next to the river and kept our floats and chairs out there undisturbed all weekend. Access to the river was easy (just dont slip and fall!), and we spent many lovely hours out there floating and visiting. Issues with the cabin were fixed quickly and completely (kitchen sink slow drain and toilet handle fell off). Very short drive into Wimberley for dinner/breakfast and shopping, as well as HEB and Brookshire Brothers about 2 minutes away in the other direction. Gruene was about a 30-minute drive for lunch and shopping another day. Thanks for everything, 7A!

Gorgeous place to float the river or stay overnight at the individual cabins. Friendly staff and amazing location. The river situation is a great alternative to the Blue Hole or Jacob s Well, which is always booked weeks and months in advance. Just show up early (before 10) on the day of, as the 50 person limit can fill quickly, particularly on the weekend. It s reasonably priced and can accommodate last minute planning. You might see deer or goats as well.

I00% do not recommend. We stayed in the Big Star Lodge and it was a miserable experience. First, the rooms are on either side of a hallway. On one side, the rooms were almost 80 degrees while the other side was very cold. Also, there is absolutely no sound proofing. Every sound in the common room can be heard clearly in every single room. Late night partying or even loud conversation can ruin sleep for everyone else. The wifi provided less than 1mbps when I was the only one on it. What else: the sheets are rough as heck, like 100 thread count, like fine sandpaper. The handicap accessible room is NOT labeled, so we had to move little old ladies around in the morning so the grandmas could actually shower. A simple ADA accessible sign on the door would have saved a lot of grief. The kitchen worked well, but every clank of every pan echos into every room. Bottom line, this place is unsuitable unless everyone wants to party all night or nobody does. I was absolutely miserable. In the morning I heard someone say, we we paid over $150 for this?? In the morning, multiple people were booking other hotels for the rest of stay. Just terrible. Avoid.

We had a porch swing, graveled BBQ area, kayaks, picnic tables, swimming pool, and were close to the office/shop. Staff were friendly and helpful. We found this gem during Covid and have now brought our family and friends three different occasions. Each stay has been in the Classic Cabins, you can not beat the view! Our kids (10 and 11) love to explore the river on foot, take out the kayaks, run to the ice cream parlor and jump off the rope swings. At night we had quiet evenings by the fire (sometimes with a few geese companions) and porch board games with a view. We explored the town and were excited to see the museum was open again after Covid. The rooms and kitchen accomodations are perfect for my family, we have never had a complaint. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They let us check out the large lodges where we hope to entice our extended family to come and stay. We love this place!

Our stay was ruined by a septic issue where raw sewage came up through both of our showers in the downstairs river quad. Not only was smell disgusting, it was health issue for our family. We were unable to take showers and our plans were ruined for one full day of the trip. We were provided another room but only once the other guests checked out and the room was cleaned. This room looked nice but was not functional for our family and had very limited warm water for the showers we waited on for a full day. I think everyone there thought they were trying to make it right, but in my opinion, we should have received a refund for the two rooms (at least one nights stay) due to this issue. If nothing else, they should not fully book rooms so we could have at least had a place to go to take showers and not miss our plans. My family has stayed at 7a since I was a child but we will not go back. Had we been compensated for our lost time and lack of room we paid for, I wouldn t felt more inclined to come back knowing that somethings are unforeseen and all steps had been taken to make sure my family was not left out in the cold.

Our second time to 7a Ranch. The staff is friendly and we stayed in the cantina cabins each time. They are near the pool with a view of the river. We had a family reunion there with most of the fam staying in the Cactus lodge. We will be back, it s a great place.

My husband wanted a weekend out of town and our kids wanted a pool, so I took a chance on 7A because of the great reviews. The cabins are more rustic than the photos would indicate more like nice summer camp than glamping but it didn t matter because we spent most of our time outside. The river is nice, as is Wimberley, but the star of the trip was the gorgeous pool. My kids spent probably half their time in the pool.

My family has been going to 7 A for many years. The location to the river is what keeps us coming back. The staff is very friendly an accommodating. The only complaint I have is the price of the cabins. They are way over priced for what you get. Ive found larger and nicer cabins elsewhere, but keep coming back to 7 A for the location on the river. I also feel for the price of the cabins some repairs could be made to pioneer town.

We just went for the day. Very old western town that was hopping with shops, restaurants and shows back in the day... 70s/80s and before. Still quite a place to see and play old arcades and get some ice cream. Overall, you can sorta imagine living back in the 1800s strolling through it. The Blanco river is really pretty and quite refreshing. Cant review on the lodging, as we did a day trip only. Wimberley is a stones throw away. A great place to shop and get some really good food too.

We stayed here for a week and loved it! We were in the Cantina house and it was perfect! The kids loved the pool and how close we were to the Blanco river. It s a perfect distance to San Marcos and Austin if you want to get out and do something or just a few miles away from a ton of cute shops in Wimberly! We will definitely be coming back.

Our family had such a memorable visit to 7A. We had plenty of room in the Hideaway and made good use of the barbecue pit, picnic table, and firecircle. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped for meal preps. We had adventures on the river, in Pioneer Town, and hiking. The pool was very nice and included a kiddie pool for our little one. The scavenger hunt was challenging and the kids thought the ice cream parlor was the best ever!

My family has been coming to 7a for years and have stayed in almost all the different cabins. We love the Classic Cabins, rustic but great view of the river while sitting on the porch having coffee or dinner! If there was a heated pool or hot tub we would even come in the winter months! Love this place! Staff was extra friendly!

We love 7A Ranch which may seem paradoxical to my rating. In short, 7A has a premium location and a lot of potential. Sadly, it has had potential for too long, and still fails to deliver on the resort price. Four generations of my family have vacationed here since the 1960s. We will likely keep coming, but the high price and meager amenities are causing us to look elsewhere.

I took a group of 27 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the 7A Ranch in April. We stayed in the Cactus and the Moonlight Lodges. Maengel in the office was SO helpful to me in organizing our Adventure and answering all of my questions before I came. I even had a question about one of the lodges in the evening so called the after hour number that said it was for those staying at the ranch. I talked to Patrick and even though I was not a guest yet, he went over to the Lodge to check it out to give me the answer I needed for my planning. The lodge rooms were great for 2 people. I dont think I would like to put 4 people in those rooms but it is doable. Our group just needs more individual room. The lodges are perfect for groups our size. We had a campfire at Cactus Lodge. Both lodges had a fire ring. It would be good to bring lawn chairs for sitting in though. WE went to EmilyAnn Theater grounds, Jacobs Well Natural Area, Blue Hole Metropolitan Park and into Wimberley. Nothing was further than a 10 minute ride! Great location! We rented kayaks right there at the 7A Ranch and everything worked out great with that. We loved the scavenger hunt at the Pioneer Town. There was a great sports court but we didnt get to use it much due to rainy weather. When it was nice we were usually exploring parks. Every time we had a question or needed something it was answered or done immediately. Everyone was SO friendly! I called Ms. Grover who runs the Cowboy Museum in Pioneer town and she was willing to set up a time to meet us and let our group tour the museum even though they were only open on Saturdays in April. Everyone had a great time. Well be back!

My family and I recently stayed in the Cantina Cabin #1 at 7A Ranch and was amazed from the time we pulled up to the bridge you drive over to get to the site. Customer service was great and the units looks amazing inside an out. The Pioneer town was fun to walk and enjoy and the river was awesome. Just be aware there is algae present so be mindful of your steps as you enter and maneuver in the water. Overall we had a great time and look forward to going back!

Our trip was a retreat from our daily lives to refresh our bodies and our souls. It was a weekend of fellowship with Christian friends and an opportunity to give honor and praise to our Lord Jesus. We used the Pioneer Chapel in Sunday morning and it was a perfect setting for our final meeting together. Our group was made up of 19 ladies. The kitchen was excellent! Large and fully supplied, with two refrigerators and two stoves. The bedrooms were nice size and had their own bathrooms. The setting on the river was beautiful! The large fireplace provided a cozy environment and added comfortable heat to the facility,

We love this place! We stumbled upon it about 4 years ago. Stayed on a whim after purchasing day passes for the river, we literally didnt plan on a stay and had to run up to the Dollar General for toothpaste and such. We were hooked. This last visit was to celebrate my husbands 40th. We brought a small group, and it couldnt have been more perfect. We hung by the river, grilled, firepitted, and even played sand volleyball and basketball (that was a few find for us!). All of our guests were planning their next trip with their own families. Thats definitely how you know its a good spot... when youre already planning your next trip while youre still there!

Our time at 7A Ranch was absolutely wonderful, we had an amazing time celebrating Christmas with our small family. The check-in process was easy with no contact adhering to COVID-19 recommendations. The office was easily accessible via text or phone. It was a nice escape from the business of San Antonio with many outdoor activities to partake in in nearby Wimberley but also right out the front door. The Casita Cabins were comfortable and stylish with plenty of storage space and modern amenities. I would highly recommend staying here and looking forward to staying here during the summer.

My family had a blast ! So relaxing. We enjoyed floating around in the river as well as relaxing in the pool. Every morning and evening we enjoyed feeding the geese as well as the goats. Our last night we had one of the geese follow us back to the cantina loft and sit with us while we had a bonfire and watched a movie on the projector. When the goose was ready to go back to the river he tried letting us know and we finally figured it out . We walked him back to the water because it was to dark for him to see and he wouldnt go without us leading the way !! So precious, we actually walked a goose home !! We then got to see a fox walking about. The whole trip was wonderful. We stayed 3 nights in July then I recommend place to my brother and he booked 3 nights for Oct. We are already planning for the next time ! We cant wait.
