We have not been there yet. But we know the owners. And I know that this will be one of the finest establishments in Wimberley. They are special people. And a lot of fun. UPDATE: That was 4 years ago. Weve been there, now. Just as we expected. This is the real deal Hill Country venue. We loved it. The food, the people, the ambience and the staff. Cant wait to get back to Texas and Savages Hill Country Bar & Grill.

Food was pretty good. Fried mushrooms were really good. The service was absolutely horrible. All our waitress did was take our order, she was really slow. Bartender brought first plate of food after 30 minutes....15 minutes later the cook finally brought 2nd plate and the mushrooms (which were an appetizer). I wont return here.

Awesome unexpected find! It was late on a Sunday. We werent sure anything would be open but found this great place. Friendly service and good food and drinks. Server was attentive but not intrusive. Nice patio area in addition to indoor seating options. Plan to return!

My friend and I stopped in for a quick dinner early in the week and it was very dead. Only one other group there when we arrived. As soon as I stepped in it smelled like cigarettes. I heard some great things about their burgers so I ordered their burger salad. They did not have balsamic vinaigrette so I just had Italian dressing. It was okay. Really the only good thing about the salad was the burger. I would definitely recommend having balsamic dressing as a choice. Its so coming nowadays and so much better for you than the floppy Italian dressing. When we started to find a table outside we were told that we had to order at the cashier and then it would be delivered. We ordered, took our number and sat down. Within 15 minutes or so someone from the kitchen (not the gal that took our order) delivered our food. The next day we noticed that the gal that took our order and checked on us once just before we left added an automatic 25% gratuity to our order. We were shocked! Not going back. Mediocre food and dishonest employees.

Family-friendly place to play pool in the Hill Country is what we were looking for and we found it this place has blanco queso and it was 100% awesome we ordered the cheese sticks and they came out cold on the inside, I did get soda and it was great, the inside of the place is quite dim and a bit dirty the bathrooms were very dirty it literally looked like and never scrub the walls tiles busted Etc. The servers were very nice however they did ignore us for a few different times throughout the evening like the table next to us would get attention but we would be there for 20 to 30 minutes with empty glasses

THE OWNER MADE THINGS RIGHT!! Thank you Kristie. The worst service ever. Bartender was negligent and then took our beers and called the law. Literally took my beer out of my hand. Not sure if the day you go determines the kind of vibe here but we spent the week in Wimberley for my birthday and Came to eat here on a Thursday night to celebrate. Based off the pictures we were expecting a lively night. We were very disappointed. The place looks like it has so much potential but it was so dead here. The menu is boring and our food was even worse. Raw burgers and chicken sandwich that tasted like rubber. Definitely not worth what we paid. There was only one waitress and she was nice and as helpful as she could be. Not terrible but the pictures on line advertise way better.

Cool spot on RR12 at the San Marcos/Wimberley/Blanco 12/32 split. Two pool tables, wrap around bar with lots of tables inside and out for big groups. Lots of seating. Food has been great so far. Awesome crispy fries! Parking: Just tons of parking Kid-friendliness: Lots of parking and lots of tables. Food comes out like they were just waiting for me to order something. This is basically undiscovered, always close parking and super fast service. None of that is common in Wimberley.

So, first off, despite being shorthanded, Julee was extremely friendly and patient with everyone. She made the place feel really inviting. I tried the grilled cheese and beer battered fries, and both were really fresh, hot, and delicious. The fries bring a really unique flavor that has to be tried. I got a screwdriver here and ordered Julees recommendation, and it was really delicious.

Went in to get menus...all they have is QR codes on each table, but no wifi, so my phone didnt work. Our waitress was very nice, food was ok, I think they are missing out on what they have there. The night that we came here, I ordered a French martini and the bartender(I heard people calling her Savvy) didnt know what it was. I told her what was in it and she starting mixing it up right away, without a recipe. It was one of the very best Ive ever had!! I was so impressed. I frequent Savages 2 to 3 times per month, sometimes as a solo performer at their music venues. The building is unique, clean, and spacious. Parking is ample and safe. The food is very good, and the prices per meal are in the $12 to $20 range. Service is good, clientele varied and interesting. I like Savages...you will too! We had so much fun at Savages! The food was delicious. The patio is huge, plenty of room for the kids to play, including a giant JENGA game. We will definitely be back!

DELICIOUS FOOD!!!!!! The chef adds a unique gourmet flair to his creations, and he visits the tables to check on customer satisfaction. Locals, we are lucky to have him! Savages has a little of everything: awesome appetizers, delicious meals and desserts, outdoor patios, pool tables, televised sports, live music, full bar.
